Hi geosheps, We found your 1.5 2.5 Large Traditional Isolation 2020 on 29/2/2024.Find 2742 for BFMC. This was our target cache for this stop, but we decided to look for a few others while we were here. Sadly a few were awol but this one was found all well and good. The G-Crew have descended on Adelaide with some seriously lofty caching goals as our sole objective, to be achieved at the expense of almost everything else (including sleep). With a minivan loaded with Cachers & TOTTs hopefully time is the only thing that stands in our wayWith 2024 presenting us with a leap day, we have decided to target as many of project-gcs Leap Day badge extensions as possible, with the primary objective of completing a fizzy grid in a day. SA became the logical choice due to the Mega event and the fertile, largely uncached grounds it provides for our team. Many months of planning and puzzle solving (from the simple to downright diabolical) have gone into this trip. Our selected matrix has evolved over time to account for other ongoing objectives. Fortunately, I had a reasonable list of solved but unfound puzzles from my last trip to the Tour Down Under a few years ago but the many, many hours, and many more group chat messages since we started planning this in 2023 have brought us to this point. All physical caches were either stamped or signed as G-CREW to save both time and log space. Thanks to all the COs who have placed and maintained these caches!
Veni, Vidi, ViciHaving finally unlocked premium, its time to catch up on logs. Visiting Adelaide with the Gcrew (BFMC, Bushfire, Dromaniax, Jtreetrack2, Neville_Devil, Quickhealer2 and SimsFamily) for a mega adventure. Thanks to all the Cache Owners for their caches, we had a very busy, but very enjoyable couple of days in Adelaide and surrounds targeting a D/T loop in a day and whatever other caches took our fancy. No rest for the wicked on this trip.
I took my first ever trip on a plane to Adelaide to cache with G-Crew (BFMC, Bushfire, Dromaniax, Jtreetrack2, Quickhealer2 and SimsFamily) for a mega leap day adventure. After months of planning and puzzle solving we hired a minivan and set off on a mission to find as many caches as we could on our leap day adventure with the main goal of completing a Dt loop in a day. We started off by working our way down to Victor Harbour via the coast, then worked our way back to Adelaide via the inland route chasing different types, sizes, JASMER's, unusal D/T's, earthcaches, virtuals and more. Thanks to all the CO's who have placed and maintained all of the caches we found on this trip, I had a great time.
A couple of days off work so we can visit the City of Churches for the Great Leap Forward MEGA. The G-Crew met up at Adelaide Airport and all piled in to the Hyundai Staria Im pretty sure Staria means not that comfortable and be prepared to slide around in your seat. The G-Crew (BFMC, Bushfire, Dromaniax, JTreeTrack2, Neville_devil, Quickhealer2 and Sims-family) have prepared for months and are ready to go. Puzzles have been solved, target caches listed, spare caches ready we are to get a Leap Day fizzy grid in SA. 7 Cachers checkToTTs checkCold drinks checkEnough time hopefully. All logs were signed or stamped with the G-Crew name to save time and space in the logs.Thank you all the CO's for the contributions and ongoing maintenance. We had a very tiring caching party. Sorry for the generic log but with 100+ logs to write I'll never catch up if I don't, my logs have been at 8 months unloved so have had plenty to catch up on.
Well the big day is here, we are finally in Adelaide after weeks of planning . The G-Crew (BFMC, Bushfire, Dromaniax, JTreeTrack2, Neville_devil, Quickhealer2 and Sims-family) has some pretty intense goals that requires a very long day and no sleep to achieve. The last few weeks the message group has been awash with many many messages as we worked though all the puzzles in order to achieve our main goal of a full D/T loop in a day.We loaded the Hyundai Staria (Was meant to be a KIA Carnival, Not an upgrade ) with all the ToTTs we though or hoped we would need in order to achieve our goals. All logs were signed or stamped with the G-Crew name to safe time and space in the logs.Thank you all the CO's for the contributions and ongoing maintenance. We had a blast and sorry for the generic log but with so many logs to write I'll never catch up if I don't.
According to Google I have lived for 21 leap years + but how many more we do not know but the SA Leap Forward Mega has been and gone and what a great event. Our very lofty goal, completing a full D/T Matrix on a leap day. The G-Crew (BFMC, Bushfire, Dromaniax, JTreeTrack2, Neville_Devil, Quickhealer2 and Sims-family) have descended on Adelaide with some seriously caching goals as our sole objective, to be achieved at the expense of almost everything else (including sleep). We have to say a great big thanks to all the cache owners for looking after these caches for us to find. The hire cars had a big work out with all the gear and TOOLS that we thought we may require. We have decided to target as many of Project-GCs Leap Day badge extensions as possible, with the primary objective of completing a fizzy grid in a day.One of my first Megas was in SA in I think 2014 ( Murray Bridge) but as there, just so many caches of most D/T combos it made sense to target this Mega. We had a list of solved caches that gave a great starting point for our assault but distance was also a problem but I think we made our objective irrespective a great time was had even if we do not make our objective. Thanks to all the S.A. cachers for placing these caches and keeping them on the playing field.

What an amazing adventure through Adelaide. This was my first time to Adelaide and we had a very long day driving and grabbing as many caches as possible. Our very lofty goal, completing a full D/t Matrix on a leap day.Apologies for the generic log, but with so many caches we got today, we didnt have much time to log them as we grabbed them.We had no issues with any containers or hides, and all were in good condition, and well maintained.I was part of G-Crew as we tackled our list, we hired a seven seater van and drove all around Adelaide. The members of our hunt were Dromaniax, BFMC, and JTreeTrack2 who did their fair share of driving and route planning, Sims_family who was on recon and puzzle solving, Neville_devil our fearless high altitude cacher, and myself Quickhealer2.We have been planning this adventure for about 10 weeks, puzzle solving, route planning, and it all came down to the big day and we did so much.I was very lucky to be invited into G-Crew, and with all of our skills and strengths we got our task doneEach log was signed or stamped G-Crew, and I thank all the CO's for maintaining their caches through the chaos of this Mega eventthanks again for the adventureQuickhealer2

With one eye on the weather radar and the other on the time , we ventured out for a caching run in the south today [^].
This was our walk for the morning and we estimated we had about an hour - so off we went !
By the time we set off for this one, there was heavy cloud and thunder heading our way, so there was no time to lose .
Looked around here for a very long time before making our find . TNLNSL.
One more to go before heading back to the car .
Thanks Geosheps.

Found during a pleasant walk in the Craigburn Farm area on a nice day. Thanks for the cache Geosheps!
We parked up and made the walk in along the trails to GZ, had to really get in there to see it but found the nicely hidden cache. Cache and contents are all good
Today we headed to the Stirling markets for a look around for a while before heading off to do some detour caching on the way home.
Thanks for the cache

Today the aim was to clear the Sturt Gorge Recreation Park of the few remaining traditionals that I had left to find. It took three and a half hours and two walks but I left the area with mission accomplished and my cardio exercise done.
This one was the first found on the first walk. Always nice nice to start the day with a quick find and stamp.
Thanks to geosheps for putting out this cache for me to find.

First quick find on our hike around Sturt Gorge, almost missed it but checked to app for nearby hides just as were passing it so turned around. I actually found it immediately but didn't lean far enough forward, tired again after some wandering and there it was. Beware of spider webs! No issue with coordinates for us and no sign of trackable, both mentioned in previous log as of posting.

Nice walk and not too difficult to find. Container was nice and clean with a few good items. The disturbed grass, where people have walked, gives away where it is.
Not as easy as we thought, not until I walked around the other side, nice overhang. TFTC
Found It!

Taking advantage of a break in the weather Debandy, Logan and myself headed out to the Sturt river walking trails for a spot of caching.

I started 2020 with some improbable caching goals that only lasted until mid February.
Then came Covid-19 and caching began to take a back seat.
I even managed a 23 day NO FINDS streak! [:(!] Then caches started to slowly get published again and with restrictions easing it was time to go back to socially responsible caching again.
A group of puzzle solving befuddled animals, a starfish (brisal5) a snake (Blackadders) and a rat (S.A. Sewer Rats) set out on their weekly adventure in search of caches. Surprisingly no solved puzzles were found until the very last cache of the day.
Time to go for a hike and grab the Disney trail interspersed with some cross county bush walking to link up with some other trails in the adjacent Sturt Gorge Recreation Park and other caches there. Having reached the further point away from the geomobile it was time to turn around and follow the zig zag convoluted tracks to get back there. Via caches of course. this was the fist stop on our return journey. The cache was a quick find but we had to wait for several other walkers - perhaps this is not so isolated! [:o)][:o)] Each of us grabbed some trackables to move on.. [8)]

With the major threat of this awful virus easing a few of the puzzled animals ventured down this neck of the woods where there are many hides yet to be found. The Rat, Starfish and Adder sought a number of smileys on our maps.
As with many that we sought today this was a few meters off of our GZ.
With perseverance the prize was finally found. TFTC

Near perfect winter weather on a public holiday, made an ideal day to go exploring and finding a few caches. Having made a find at a nearby high terrain cache, we spent the rest of the day wandering the trails and finding some of the many traditional caches in the area. A beautiful spot that we will return to.
So glad that we did not lose the opportunity to walk in the beautiful outdoors during this time of isolation. TFTC

This morning, jesswrigley and I planned on riding our mountain bikes around Craigburn Farm with a few other friends. We ended up parking near Blackwood Oval, and rode the following trails: Craigberms, Gunners, Little River, Cowbones, and then finished with “Over the Border – River Trail” before riding the link back to the oval. Consequently this cache was found during our ride this morning.
We weren't in isolation today, but we remembered the more lockdown times. At least South Australia still allowed/promoted fitness out and about.
We stopped just next to GZ, and after checking a few spots, the cache was found. My oh word, there are lots of TBs here, and I didn't have the time to discover any of them! I've grabbed two TBs to ensure they keep moving on their travels. Otherwise, the cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks Geosheps for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

I've never seen so many trackables in my life!! This is an awesome cache and it's nice to find a new one that reflects the current situation (which is on the way up even more since it was published!) The huge bag of trackables in such a large container made this an all round good time. Took the frog trackable to move one.
A nice walk to this cache from the lake side for me. I followed the Little River trail. I dropped 3 TBs off. There is a little bit of water in the Little River at the moment. Good to go for another walk in this park. TFTC
An after work stroll along a babbling brook. Cross the creek at the correct time and headed down hill but went up hill. Spotted the cache hide from 20m away and put down the GPSr at 0m. Impressive. Freddo loves a large cache.
Thanks for placing a fun cache guys. We do love your work. We signed the logbook. Of course we did that is way we play this game. Cache in pretty good condition for the cache age.
If only I had brought the bag of travel bugs sitting in the my travelling bag.

Came from Disney Trails #2, for a nice 2.5km isolated creek walk. Not a soul seen, indeed done in isolation!
An easy find, and grabbed the the TB to move along also.

A cache only 800m from home, however the round trip to it was just under 5km due to the myriad of tracks/trails/creek crossings (which made the hike to this one a great experience!) We left home and walked along the Sturt Creek, crossing it multiple times before walking over the hills to make the find.
Gave the phone to my sons friend who hadnt cached, who made the find. Nicely tucked away, and a good sized container.
2nd to sign the log and also dropped a TB for the next finder.
Great location in an area that Ive hiked an mountain-biked regularly! A great part of Adelaide to explore. TFTC

What a great name for a geocache to reflect the current climate.
Although, for a few lucky ones, like myself, our daily routine has changed very little.
Today I was also lucky to be able to take an early lunch break, with a little detour, while doing a delivery for work. Thankfully the rain held off, and I was able to enjoy a pleasant walk. Good coordinates at GZ made to a quick find, and a blank log book put a huge smile on my face The rain slowly started again as I made my way back to the car, passing a few individuals along the way, enjoying the fresh air and stretching the legs.

South Australia has now gone 7 days without a new Covid case being recorded and the efforts of South Australians have see the curve flattened in this state.
I have therefore decided to publish some caches as a test to restarting publishing in this state.
If the logs show that the geocaching community are being responsible and not breaking social distancing rules when it comes to finding and writing in the logbook I can publish more submissions.
I have put a watch on the caches published and will monitor the logs. If people breach the rules through large numbers of people attempting a FTF or congregating at a newly published cache this will result in me suspending publication again.
I will not be publishing events at this time and I may need to suspend publication of caches again if the current situation changes.
I look forward to being able to look at your cache submissions and thank everyone for their understanding during this difficult time.
