Found near our morning reviver stop but hadn't thought to look if there were any caches nearby at the time. So we're back. Found quicker than it took frozen hands to undo the lid. TFTC scramping.
Travelling with richlink on our Annual Caravan Geocaching road trip, using geocaching as our guide. We have just arrived at Millicent, and decided to head out to find an AdventureLab or two, and a few caches we pass as we go. Thanks for placing this cache. LNCU.
Travelling with iluvtrekking from our home state of WA on a SA caching foray. Moving from Warrnambool to Millicent today and picking up some finds along the route. Thanks for the hide. LNCU
Within the area so thought I'd grab the cache while it was reasonably quiet. Was here a couple of years ago but as a muggle with a previous finder. The area has changed just slightly. Signed the fresh logsheet as POMTFTH
Heading to Millicent for a couple of days. Getting caches along the way. Enjoying the caches. Found in the 2nd place I put my hand.
**Today:**On an epic roadtrip with DSD for the SA Leap Day mega! We woke up in Millicent this morning with a destination of Murray Bridge, via my first ever event in SA at Tailem Bend Motorsport Park, which is up there with the best venues I have attended an event in! The SFE Challenges near Millicent were the first target, before we cherry-picked our way via high DTs and county chasing! Thanks to all COs for an awesome day!**This Cache**We paused and refreshed near this cache, but not at this cache exactly! Instead we were here for the Woolworths nearby, so after stocking up on some food / drink we decided to wander over and try our hand at this cache! Spent a while looking in different spots, including a few smart ideas we had, but none of them proved to be fruitful. Eventually we located the sneaky hide in a more conventional spot! TFTC
A Very quaint location not quite what I was expecting..yes I too initially over thought things but then went back to logic and had the little blighter soon in hand. favourite point for location.
On a road trip from Melbourne to Adelaide. Our first visit to South Australia.Off to Robe today but first making another couple of funds before we leave. We made use of the nearby laundry when we arrived but I forgot to check for nearby hides. Back today looking in a few wrong spots before making the find.TFTC
off on a jaunt to the south east and enjoying its beautiful scenery and experiencedtoday the weather is overcast, but fine for driving and caching a little. stopped in millicent for a coffee. a good cappuccino and interesting chandelier in the cafe. turned on cachly and obviously had to look for a cache only 8 m away! it took a little time, reflection on the hint rather than the gos and yes maybe reassurance from cafe workers that i was in the right spot, but i was very pleased to put my hands on this little suckertftc and a fav point from
Day three on a SE SA short trip with The Morris.
We started this morning on the Crayfish Series. We then went to Millicent for lunch
Then we traveled south to Tantanoola Caves doing odd caches on the way.
I didn't have a small best friend to give me cover for this cache, but the lane way was quiet today.
Thanks, Robmc.

Day 12 of our loop through Vic and SA then home.
Today we were on the move from Millicent to Bordertown. fitzy_1965, albida33 & I headed out early to finish up the last of the caches in Millicent before heading for Naracoorte and then Bordertown. We signed as MAF or FAM to save room.
Our aim was to collect counties, oldies, AL’s and any interesting caches in-between. Once set up in Bordertown we headed out to the Little Desert. It was great driving around out there in no-man’s land. Certainly, a highlight.
All caches were found quickly and easily unless otherwise mentioned.

Southern Autumn adventure Day 13. Post Mega South East SA trip Day 7. Today Fitzy_1965, MinnieK and I were leaving Millicent for Bordertown. Logs were signed F.A.M or similar as we first went for three tree caches we missed stopping at yesterday, before finally packing up at camp and driving via a string of towns and caches to Bordertown. Once set up there we headed back to Victoria to tackle the Little Desert puzzle caches that have been calling to us for a few years now. As the evening closed in we took a roundabout route back to town for some lab caches and a spot of sinner cooking.
As we were in ton for a final shop, we just had to cross the road for this well placed cache.
Thanks for the cache GeocachingSA

31,015. Found with minniek and albida33 (signing either as FAM or MAF to save room and just for fun) during another great day of caching in South Australia (and controversially Victoria as well).
Rutherglen Mega and South Australia Trip Day 12. Today we headed out to grab our last few wanted great D/T caches around Millicent, before trekking up to Bordertown, setting up camp again, and heading into The Little Desert for yet more fun caches. This was the next find of the day, and a quick find once at GZ. Signed, replaced, and then we headed off to the next cache on our list.
Thanks GeoVenture2020 !! Nicely set up.

Got caught by a muggle but she new what we were doing and we already had the little fellow in hand tftc
TeamCrackers, RoamingHowie, GoodLook, Micaparamedic, ChooknChunk, Geoturtle37 and myself were the team for today. We were all keen on having a good day out now that the weather was better. This was a great place for a cache and to stop for a bite to eat. Thank you for placing the cache for us to find.
TeamCrackers, RoamingHowie, GoodLook, Papi4506, Micaparamedic, ChooknChunk and myself made up the team for today. The weather had improved so we were all looking forward to some higher D/T caches. Ones that we didn't want to do when it was wet and slippery. And that is exactly what we did, paused and refreshed before setting off again. Thank you for placing this cache for us to enjoy.
Out and about across several days with a fun caching crew that consisted of ChooknChunk, Team Crackers, micaparamedic, RoamingHowie, Papi4506, and GeoTurtle37.
The laughter, frivolity, cheeky comments, deep and meaningful conversations, drinking, eating, caching, dust, long grass, the spectacular Andrew (RoamingHowie also known as the human ladder) taking one or two or three for the team (geocaching certainly got him wet) , then there was Rob (Papi), his climbing skills and agility was second to none - amazing!! [^], and what Jo could do with a pole is impressive! [:X]
Life has been a little challenging lately (as it has been for many), but this geocaching trip instantly injected some nature, connection with others and different scenery into the mix (with the silliness and laughter) - just what the soul needed.
Thank you to those who placed the caches and then a special thanks to those who maintain the caches that we found. [:X]

After a huge week away, beginning in the Little Desert and eventually crossing the border into SA for some caching in the Millicent area it was time to head home. Home of course via a whole heap of caches, a little more targeted than the initial few days.
We toured some local caches first before everyone went their separate ways. The group today included Team Crackers, Papi4506, GeoTurtle37, micaparamedic, chooknchunk, Goodlook and myself, at least for the morning anyway.
Time for lunch so we stopped here for a cache and snack!
Thanks GeocachingSA for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to enjoy.

Happily we had finished all the geo art that we were hoping to do so today we were aiming to try and find a few terrain difficulty ratings. We were travelling with ChooknChunk, Goodlook, micaparamedic, Roaming Howie, GeoTurtle37 & Papi4056 and between us we thought that we would have almost any TOTT required.
We had finished the UNAL series in the area and were now heading out of town but not before stopping at this cache. Even with this many eyes it took a little while to locate the cache but find it we did and our names have been added to the log.
Many thanks GeoVenture2020 for the cache.

Last day of Chook's trip to Millicent with her fellow Vics: Papi4506, Geoturtle37, Team Crackers, micaparamedic, Roaming Howie and our honorary Vic GoodLook. What a fantastic time we have all had here this week.
After a morning chasing UNALs, it was time to head back to Millicent for some lunch and a couple more caches before Chook had to leave for home.
With several sets of eyes we soon had this cache in hand and our rather condensed initials in the log. How cool to be allowed to place the cache here! TFTC GeoVenture2020.

Know set up at the Lakeside Caravan Park, what an amazing location.
Today we did a couple of AL around town plus a few caches.
This gave us an good idea how the town was set out.
We found some great caches & an AL at interesting locations during the day.
Our last cache of the day after having tea at the hotel.
Nobody around so it was a good time to come here.

OMG we always overthink things.
We realized what we needed to find.
We narrowed it down to a specific location, looked everywhere and in the end did need to PAF…… so simple!!!
TFTC Doh!

Quick find on a quiet & chilly Saturday morning. Great cache & very topical for my trip south. Love it, TFTC!️0

Road trip! Joined ZQX, Fox in Jox and TikvaNZ in taking advantage of a long weekend in the ACT to head to Victoria and South Australia for 4 days. We had planned this trip 2 years ago, but it did not happen for obvious reasons, so now getting it underway. Our goal is to pick up some old caches, get counties and get some interesting DT combinations!
Today: day 2 travelling from Nhill to Millicent and Mount Gambier today with lots of interesting caches planned. Happy to finally get to this part of SA to collect long solved puzzles and qualified challenges!
Took a bit of effort to lay an hand on this one!
Thanks GeocachingSA for the cache and the fun!

Found on a trip to the supermarket with the MHS paces class. The kids looked here there and everywhere, even almost jumping inside but Birdie Starling was the one who spotted it. Neither of us had a pen so she promised to go back and write my name in the log. Tftc.
Many a trip to Millicent was planned, locked out or down. More recently a plan was hatched for 4 of us to attend but enroute our number dropped to 3 which meant so re shuffling and re prioritising.
We (PPE and Crash 2079) held our own event, Grumpy Over Millicent or better known in our vocabulary as GOM amongst other TLA’s of the same acronym. It was great to meet some of the locals.
Many an adventure was had with TOTTs of various types. The weather left a bit to be desired with fleeting bursts of sun but mostly wind, over cast and plenty of rain but we still managed to hoist poles and ladders and climb trees.
An after dinner find in what could be a high muggle area.
We completed the signing duties and re hid. TFTC

GOMSs do Millicent - Day 1
After our plans to attend the Mega were cancelled by COVID, the stars finally aligned and saw bella at waggy, Purplepeopleater and myself jetting off early on a drizzly morning. With so many targets on our list, it will be interesting to see how many logs we manage to sign.
After collecting our set of TOTTs from oversized baggage and jumping in the hire car, we headed towards Murray Bridge followed by plenty of stops as we zig zagged our way towards Millicent
We finally checked in and headed into town for dinner. Of course the night wasn’t done yet.
We had some fun finding this one with our phone torches

One of the geokids claimed he’d looked in the location it was but when I had a proper look we found it. Convenient find during our coffee stop in the way to Port Fairy.
Found by Rebel Acts in the company of The Empire.
with it being School holidays in Victoria I had some time spare to head to Millicent where I teamed up with the Empire for a few days caching in the area, we had a fantastic time exploring the area. Today we tackled the Crayfish before chasing a few D/T combos on the SFE trail and the UNAL series, once they were done it was back into town to grab a few before trying out the local Pizza for Dinner.
This is one of the caches found today.

In Millicent for a few days of caching fun! The Crayfish was the first series we wanted to complete this morning. With the cold wind keeping the crowds at bay, we were able to find all of the caches in this series without too many interruptions from the locals. With that series out of the way, we were able to chase some interesting difficulty/terrain combos with the ladder in the back of the Patrol, we smashed out the SFE series now back in Millicent for some more caches before pizza for dinner! Hahaha! Loved this one, very cheeky - favourite point added. Thanks for the cache GeoVenture2020.

A somewhat foggy start to our final day based in Millicent, with our caching buddies, Suscoe. As the fog cleared and the sun actually became warm, we had a fun day finding a variety of caches, trads, multis and pre solved puzzles.
What a gem - a FP from us.

This was the Suscoes final full day of caching in Millicent and in the surrounding areas for this trip.
We were with our good friends Phetlern again and we had another terrific day out finding a range of caches in all sorts of locations.
It was a foggy start to the day but it lightened as the day progressed and ended up a quite pleasant Winter's day with sunshine and no wind.
Thanks to GeoVenture2020 for this hide, a clever little chap in a nice spot.

While Mr Y'stassie waited to pick up tea Mrs Y'stassie checked on nearby caches. This was closest. Not her favourite cache type but a cache within reach so off she went navigating by phone.
After one wrong turn and an over shoot she was finally on the right track - how ever did she manage before GPS. The streets were empty so looking would not be difficult. She found herselve approaching from the rear and ran her hand along an edge as she walked by. Ping the little container drpped and began to roll away. As she only has one usefully arm at the moment there was an initial panic before she stuck out a foot and trapped the runaway container.
After signing the log she tried to remember where the container had been. She had just absentmindedly run her fingers along as she walked passed and had not seen the container until it hit the ground. What to do? A quick reenactment threw up several possibilities. She chose one and replaced he container hoping it would be near enough. A check of the coordinates suggested it was within 2m of the published coordinates. Definitely findable.
Thanks for this cache GeoVenture2020. Nothing like a late evening challenge to keep us on our toes. And yes she loved the spot and was sorry she did not have any of our 3 grand dogs with her to share this lovely doggy rest station. Definitely a favourite.

With border restrictions and cases coming close to Portland we weren't sure we were going to make it to Millicent. Then the house sitter said they weren't available so once the border approvals came through it was decided that Mr Morris would nurture the dog and Lady Morris would do the border run.
Day 2 was a bit drizzly but it didn't' really rain so she was able to pick up a few caches along the way.
Sunday mornings are good for finding these.

For the past few years I have cached as part of "team heymissjo", but now I am old enough to have my own account so logging the find. Thanks for the cache.

This search was so much fun for Heymissjo, Emeylo and myself that I'd almost call it a field puzzle!
A night visit meant we had the location to ourselves. And that was a stroke of luck. But that didn't make it any easier to find - it seems our luck had dried up!
But our luck was the only thing that dried up because then it rained - not for long, but it was short and sharp and really soaking.
We all got wet.
Very, very wet.
So anyway...
After a discovering a thousand places the cache could have been hiding but wasn't, we eventually found it, using a technique not available to those searching in more civilised hours.
It's a natural spot really, but we were essentially outplayed tonight. Maybe if we had convinced Geo-Bug and Geo-Ninja to leave the dry comforts of the geo-rig we might have had better luck... but they were too busy laughing at the rest of their crazy family!
I'm now dripping and would like to dry off, but HMJ has plans for me to hunt and sign 30 challenge caches tonight.
In the dark.
And in the rain...
Gotta love this game!
Thanks for the great fun here, GeoVenture2020.

It had to rain didn’t it! We finally have a few hours in Millicent and it’s super wet! None the less that didn’t stop The Welder and I from looking for this cache, inside, outside, upside down... eventually and a little wet The Welder locates this cache. Thanks for the hide! A favourite from me
