An enjoyable Multi with an interesting history of Harrietvilles Indigenous people. We did stand around the notice board for a while looking for the information we needed to calculate GZ. Once that was finally accomplished, the rest was history. Thanks Ronice88 for an informative, fun cache.
Up bright and early today we were out the door well before 9am! Today we were concentrating on Snomo caches and any others we came across. We had solved the clever snomo caches in bits and bobs since they were published, down to a stubborn few which we then solved on a girls puzzle night This next cache happened to be a Multi and I am glad there were 2 of us doing it as we both got right and wrong answers between us so lucky the other was there to check lol. Off to GZ in an unexpected location. I'd like to say it was a nice easy find as the phone lead me to GZ whilst GMelb's GPS was continuing to send him up the garden path, but I missed the cache!! GMelb later looked there and found it !!! lolol TFTCRonice88 - GJMMelb
After getting the correct set of numbers. We found some backpackers getting out of there car nearby. So we walked down the track a little bit, and than used the tree as cover to make the find.Out caching with D@geoThank you the hide Ronice88
Found with gwd.aussie.Travelled over the mountains to tackle the HSS Basketball Geoart before it gets archived soon. Taking a break in Harrietville on our way back home we arrived at gz to gather the information and do the sums. Hmmmm must have miscalculated as we were out in the open but after finding another nearby multi we took another look at the information and our working out when I spotted the obvious error and we quickly had the cache in hand. Thanks Ronice88
Love that Aboriginal language Dudhoroah language is taught here and continues through to VCE studies - this is truly an exceptional area for so many reasons. Love that last person to find is also from Leongatha.tftc the education and cache Ronice88regardskbucky
The final cache of our day of caching. Took a bit to figure out if we were counting letters in the clan headings, specific clans, or both. Then we missed seeing the adjustments after we got the coords. With a bit of help we finally got there!!! Also found some saffron milk caps near gz that I had for dinner.
Every year the Ducati club does a ride to Harrietville, and I try to do a few Caches in the area.
Thanks Ronice88
Thanks Ronice88
How many times can one person read this sign, and come up with different numbers?
I was sure I had it correct, eventually, but I couldn't get the checksum to work. Once again, a PAF showed me my error, and I was back on track. The cache was quickly found at GZ.

The OSHFAM clan including geo dog Roxy came up to Punkah for a few days to spend time in our shack before school starts next week. On Saturday lunchtime, I sent the family home and Roxy and I stayed on for an extra night on our own enjoying caching adventures in Harrietville together. We arrived around 2pm and didn't get back to the shack til 9.40pm exhausted. We had the best day.
It was getting late in the day now and I was getting tired so the brain slowed down a bit. I thought I was thorough here but continually found myself recounting as the numbers were not adding up. Finally the correct calculation was made and the cache was found.
Thank you for the multi and cache here Ronice88

It took a couple goes to get the right coords here and we were grateful for the checksum. Luckily AWSWFS had the headtorch and with a handy hint we were able to zero in on the hide. TFTC.
NOTE : NEW container and a new location for GZ has been found. It's within cooee and a tad closer! The same task is required with a small additional sum to be completed. Enjoy!
Sorry folks - there have been clearing works at the site either by council or adjacent property owner. I’d really like to keep this alive but will need to relocate it close by - just have to sort out a proximity challenge.
Maintenance run sadly revealed NO cache container - remnant of camo only. I’ll look into relocating in the vicinity in the next week.
Unfortunately all the tree bases at GZ were bare and the only sounds we heard was the sound of silence
It’s MEGA Road Trip time!! A plan is hatched and we are good to go.
DAY FIVE: Harrietville AdLabs, H5 and chill day.
Needing a multi for the day, this was our target. Nice camo!
Thanks for bringing us here today by placing this cache, Ronice88

With the MEGA now finished we headed off to camp at SMOKO while we explored Harrietville and the surrounds. The weather is a little more overcast today so we thought it would be perfect temperature for a walk.
We gathered the information about the clans and turned it into some plausible coordinates. We spotted the cache on arrival at GZ as some of the camo has warn and leaves an odd looking colour in this setting. The log was signed and we were on our way.
Thanks Ronice88 for placing this gamepiece in the wild for us to find.

Found. After finishing a CITO and a walk around the Dredge hole I stopped to find this cache, weirdobiker stopped as well and we worked on it together, checking that our numbers agreed. We went for a stroll then took a while circling the area until we found the well camoed hide. TFTC
#18057. Having not been away anywhere for almost 2 years Rob suggested we book a couple of nights at Mt Beauty. We had no sooner done this than WHAM Ronice88's GeoArt SCOMO hit my emails. Rob immediately started to work through them, getting more and more grey hair by the minute.
So today it was a Bright, Harrietville, Mt Beauty day with 15 finds and 2 DNF's. The weather ruined our caching time at Harrietville so we will return when the weather is better.
Well, here we are back again and fortunately I still had the GZ coordinates in my GPS. Back to the same spots to search this time and I widened the search and found the container sitting out in the middle of no-man's land looking very obvious. We have now moved it closer to what we assume is GZ. Will message the CO to tell her exactly where we have put it. Glad to convert this one to a smilie.
Thanks Ronice88

The day started off nicely, but quickly went to WET when we were at Harrietville!
We got a few done there before getting soaked (us and the doggies!)
The rain didn't look like it was going to stop in the next few weeks so we set off for Mt Beauty where we are staying. We shall return for a few more SNOMO caches.
We had started this one a while ago, and finished it off today, after our DNF.
Easy to find the cache today, I suspect it had been washed down the hill a bit.
BB will contact you about it.
Thanks, Robmc.

The heights of Hotham, to the depths of the Ovens at Bright - it was all downhill for us today!!
Following on from all the controversy of "Australia Day" this was certainly an interesting multi. Yes we did need to really concentrate and count very carefully to calculate a possible GZ, which was a very clever hide. Would have appreciated a check Sum for the 'XYZ' component of the formula. FP awarded for an interesting Multi with an even more interesting placement.
**FEEDBACK TO CO:** Given the nature of the calculations as well as the hide, we did wonder if the DR should be a tad higher?
Thanks Ronice88 for placing caches for everyone's enjoyment.

Giving Beavar some practice on doing multi’s via their phones. With five pairs of eyes looking and counting we soon had a likely set of numbers for GZ SL at 11.08am Left: gold eagle PT Nice hide which rates a Fav. Pt. #7648 TFTC Ronice88
BettyBoo3747 and I loaded up the deadly treadlies and set off for Harrietville.
We started with the H2B series and then the AdLab, and a few others around town.
We weren't sure about which items made up the list, and there is no checksum for the longitude.
This probably contributed to our lackluster search at our possible GZ.
It was a strange spot with a car parked on GZ.
Thanks, Robmc.

After a big drive from home (Phillip Island) to Harrietville via Mount Hotham we caught up with our friend, who we were staying with, and had dinner at the “Top” pub. It being still daylight I thought I’d push the boundaries a bit further and try for another cache or two before dark. The CO, our friend, came to watch how I solved the problem to get the coordinates. Somebody had numbered the lines of the section we needed to use , which made finding the lines we needed easier to find, but it wasn’t really needed. Once you found the bottom line and knew which line number that was the rest was easy. As with most Multi caches, I was careful translating and calculating the coordinates. The final was a bit further up the road and easily accessed. This was the first of Ronice88’s caches I’d found, but I was expecting something special and was delighted with what I found.
Very happy with figures... redid the twice.
Very likely spot at GZ but an empty hidey hole.
THanks for challenge and history lesson

Was glad to meet with Ronice88 and get a little push, for this hide.
She confirmed that thankfully it was still there, but very nicely camoed.
When you arrive at GZ don’t be put off by thinking nothing could possibly be hidden, it is there.
It’s a difficulty 3.... have a good look and maybe a poke around!
TFTC and it was great meeting you face to face and having a great chat!

Unable to decipher good numbers for the puzzle questions. With a b c the alphabet numbers did not add up to the check sums. The x y z puzzle was unable to be clearly be interpretation. Tried a few possibilities but the signage text seems conflicting between languages and clans.
