Looking about I speculated what the cache might be and was proved correct. Once I recalibrated the Garmin it didn't take long to find. Log is wet. Feral apple trees are in blossom at present and I now have a vase of apple blossom on the dining table at home. TFTC Sui_001.
Full time Nomads, travelling around Australia since 2014. Staying a week or so in Yass, today we headed out after lunch to tackle a few caches. We struggled with parking with so much long grass and not being able to see if there were any holes, and so many were on double white lines further making it difficult. The shadows got longer making the hunt another degree of difficulty, once we had 2 DNF in a row it was time to call it quits for today. Mr Felix looked beyond this one, until Mrs Felix said ahm?TFTC Sui_001

Reperio 16:30The youngest and I got up early this morning from our overnight camping spot to hit the trails around Yass and beyond. The day turned out to be a fantastic day of finding all sorts of caches, in all sorts of varying degree of difficulty and terrain, and totally around 160 finds. With only a handful of DNfs thrown into the mix, it was one of the better days out Ive had in the last few years. Had a solid idea of where the cache might be, and it wasnt long before the cache has in hand, and another one which I enjoyed.Gratias Sui_001As a well spent day brings happy sleep, a well spent life brings happy death - LDV
With the rain through the night and still happening this morning, we had a choice. It was either go with the full scuba gear or just the snorkel, goggles and flippers. Luckily the rain did ease off a little, so we decided to head out with ilook4geo anyway. A selection of caches was chosen and hopefully there was nothing that took too long, as the available time was short. This cache was found more by good luck than anything, but we are still happy to claim the find. Thank you to Sui_001 for placing this cache.
The weather was very wet, but all the logs in caches found today with goingplaces2 were nice and dry for signing. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache.
A well overdue expedition out and around Yass with prolific cacher Green-Martian. Reasonably early for a Sunday, a cool and foggy Winter's day lay ahead. North over the highway along Cooks Hill Road and branching off onto Blakney Creek Road was the plan. Had touched base with esteemed local CO, Sui, who out of the blue pulled up whilst we were searching for a particularly difficult hide. Graciously he accompanied us a little while longer before scheduled appointments took him away. Continuing on through a now sunny afternoon the well hidden and/or camouflaged hides found without too much issue. A few of them unfortunately eluded us, this time.....we will be back. Called it a day as the sun started to set, another enjoyable and successful adventure. Thanks as always to GM, and all the CO's for their cache placement and continued maintenance.
So many choices, but none were correct. Surprised eventually with the find. Signed and replaced as per the CO's request. TNLNSL TFTC

Caching today with IamCoust in Yass and surrounds. We spent about 20 min here before we contacted CO who took time out of his day to come directly to us. Soon we had this cache in hand. A natural camo. I'm adding this as a Fav for me. Tftc
Found @ 1:28pm with hccatcher11415 on an Easter Sunday drive where we found 11/11
We guessed how this one would be hidden but it required a methodical search. Edit: I miscounted, this cache was not #4000 for me, the previous one was, d'oh!
Thanks again Sui_001

Found with allrounder on Easter Sunday after being out for brunch in yass. With neither of us working today we decided to go for a drive to collect a few caches.
Well that took much longer than it should have. We had a good idea what we would be looking for after seeing one like this before. Unfortunately we weren’t methodical enough. Finally on a second or third time through allrounder had it in hand. Log signed and returned to the hide.

Found with a team consisting of McLookers, Maccamob, Muzza, Team Crackers, micaparamedic, pprass and Moonb1, Today was a mixed day with some very good caches (with faves) some DNF's, and quite a few tricky hides. Many thanks to the Cache Owners.
Catching up with late logs
We formulated a plan a month ago to meet up with alansee, mclookers, maccamob micaparamedic, moonb1, muzza and pprass to try our luck at some challenges and also any other series and other random caches that were around before heading to the rutherglen Mega event.
This was the next cache on the list for us to try today and once we got to gz the cachewas located very quickly which is not surprising witth this many eyes looking so our name has been added to the log.
Many thanks for another great series which we will be returning to finish., we signed as Vic1 to save room in the logs.

Yass has one of the best powertrails I have seen (not exactly for numbers). There is so much variety in each of these caches (we don't count the sticks). My favourite hides are ones where you come up to GZ not knowing what to expect. Love them. Got a decent amount of caches today, will definitely be returning to Yass in the future!
Thanks Sui for all the effort put into making all these cool caches for our enjoyment!
Meet O319 here who was already searching, saw something suspicious from the start and searched there, just not hard enough. Eventually got it and signed.

Saw something suspicious as we arrived at GZ and after some sorting found the cache.
We are ''stickers! When we get onto something we stick'' to it.
With a top temperature of 7 degrees today and the wind chill factor making it feel like 1 degree we rugged up and headed out to tackle a loop north of Yass which we came to call the 'Stick Trail'. It was tough going particularly early on and we considered giving it away until we got into the theme and then things got much better.
Nonetheless we still had a couple of DNFs and we walked away from higher Ts when we couldn't spot them from the ground.
We also cached the AHH letterbox series and collected a few in town on our way back.
In the end a satisfying day, much better than just sitting in the van.
Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache Sui_001.

Yes I found it!
As I was leaving, a truck and two guys from Yass Earth Works arrived and were quite threatening in wanting to know what I was doing etc etc. It was really uncomfortable for me. So if anyone in the community knows anyone at this company, pass on that they had no right behaving like they did. I was tempted to call the police but they left when I stood my ground.

#13143 - 11:28:00 AM; Out for a run around Yass with Sol de lune to collect some newer caches and then onto the challenge cache trail. We enjoyed varying degrees of success with a few DNFs on the way around, but managed to log the majority of the caches we sought. All were in good condition, including this one, or more? Anyway, spotted the hide and the race was on to see which one of us came up trumps! TFTC Sui_001
Out with LuckyL10n for a run on some of the caches in the area. Had varying success, with a good majority found although we had 3 or so DNF's as well.
Arrived at GZ and saw where the cache was probably going to be. Reminded me of a few or my older, now archived caches....always a bit of fun. LL was the lucky one and we soon had the log in hand. Signed, returned and we were on our way to a few challenge caches.

Traveling for Christmas, and targeted a few caches on the map that ticked boxes towards a challenge or two back home ... like this one. Or actually, like it's mate, but following the bouncy ball I came here first. Found easily enough, so I now know what's next.

After the previous weeks of great trips to Namadgi and kayaking with GreyHams, we decided to make a trip out to Yass for something a bit different. There was a puzzle cache of particular DT I was keen to get and plenty of others in the area to keep us amused. With the desired DT collected with a much easier climb that expected (yay!) we continued on for a few others with the plan to cache towards Dalton and Gunning and back if the time permitted.
We persisted for a while but it was an easy call to stop and head into Dalton, there we found great caching and locations of interest, a cool little track to drive with a walk to a nice little oldie out that way! Gunning also had some good caching and an AL but with time against us we had to head home but a good day in the end!
Sometimes you just get lucky and today was one of those days here with the horses watching us while they stood lazily back under the shade.

This morning we headed back to the Birds of Australia & the Challenge Cache series that we didn't do last when we were here with pprass.
After a lunch break we decided to find a few caches closer to town.
Another pesky cache hide, turned over so many to find the right one.

TFTC After great success in retrieving a D5/T5 by this CO earlier in the day, a few of us proceeded on an adventure further afield with the objective of doing some more interesting challenges. We weren't disappointed! Along with StarsAlign, Muggle Peter, and Marmaduke Rothschild we honed our skills on a variety of finds that kept us well and truly entertained.
This was a neat little find I'd seen once or twice before. Always a gotcha moment. Thanks Sui for the cool hide, and for exercising out muscle for the next one!

After successfully retrieving the cache 'It was this big' ( https://coord.info/GC927AT ) this morning we were hooked on continuing to find more of the same from this CO for the remainder of the day.
We were very fortunate that the CO joined us on much of our journey today and it quickly became very clear that this person has a very creative, adventurous and sharp mind. We also knew that we could expect fun caches. Shame we don’t have more favourite points to give out to more of the CO's wonderful caches.

Found on a caching expedition out to Yass with sebass19: from 9:30am to 7pm, 51 caches! Pulled up in front of GZ, where it took us many minutes to find the cache! Looked round and round; but then I read some logs and kind of realised what type of approach we should be taking. I upheld a new strategy and soon enough, the cache was in hand. Very well constructed container which blended into the area very well. Though, I can't even begin to imagine how difficult 'Lost it?' would be! TFTC Sui_001!

Thoroughly enjoying this series, so many interesting caches, with just enough challenge to give that nice find buzz and so far nothing to give gray hairs! Glad we have a few totts that are coming in handy on retrievals. Spotted this one easily, not sure why cause it could have been very tricky, oh well got to have a win sometimes . well crafted again and yet another fav, glad we came with plenty to give out. Tftc
After a difficult Covid 2020, The Rats floated the idea of a trip to Yass with Steeba and myself. We compared diaries, and had a 24 hour mid-week window where we could make things happen.
Thankfully the predicted rain held off, for the most part, and we were able to tour around the region collecting many of the new caches that have appeared of late.
A lot of excellent caches were found, and some fantastic terrain caches too. I was introduced to the concept that all caches cannot be climbed to, it still feels foreign to me!
Thank you to all of the cache owners for placing their hides.
Cheers

To finish off the year The Rats, Hoojar and I teamed up for another caching run down around the Yass area. We certainly had a great 24hr run finding plenty of caches (in some long grass!) The spate of recent hides around this area with five star terrain rating meant we scored plenty of stars with our finds and had some interesting caches. Great area and some great caching. TFTC!
The Rats, steeba and Hoojar were keen to fit in one more caching trip before the curtain came down on 2020. With our personal calendar's filling fast, the best we could do was a midweek juggernaut for 24 hours. The influx of caches around Yass was our target, so with some careful route planning we tackled a number of trails in the area.
After completing our targetted caches we spent some time running around the country roads grabbing some other finds.
Nice camo and after a short search the cache was in hand
Thanks to all the CO's for your caches. We had a great time bantering one another, trialling our new TOTT, staying one step ahead of the weather and one eye on what lurked in the grass. Thanks.

The original plan was a walk in some of the high country but with some road closures it was changed to GOM's going to the ACT and Yass for a few day walks and caches.
This was our last and biggest day for numbers. On realising Yass is a little sleeping for early morning cafes PPE, Crash 2079 and myself went and completed the first part of the WIG's and challenge caches (about 32) before breakfast and then came back out again to finish off the rest and having the obligatory Maccas stop.
By late morning it was on to more select caches. The wind saw us abort the sister cache to this one and we had a good idea of the camo and soo made the find. We completed the signing duties and re hid.

Day 4 of caching in the Canberra and Yass regions with a couple of grumpy old mates. Today the plan was to collect DSD's challenge and WIG series near YASS and a few other select D/T caches. With so many caches to collect, the morning was a bit of a blur with lots of little trips from and to the car and a few up and downs on the ladder. We got off to an early start, paused for breakfast and then had most logs signed by early afternoon.
We'd met up with the CO earlier in the day and he suggested a number of his caches to attempt. Let me say that in terms of container/hide quality, the afternoon's finds far exceeded the many powertrail finds of the morning.
Having already found a few of the COs caches, we were now getting the guided tour. Lots of fun and laughter (mostly at our expense). We should have attempted this one before its related cache (lost it? which we aborted due to the elevation and wind). So tricky to spot! Excellent cammo again.

Day two of my journey of collecting caches and the original plan was to collect a few around Yass and then head to Tumut (via Gundagai) and do a lot more there, but I enjoyed the ones I started that I spent a lot more time around the former town. Had very little luck in Gundagai (it was tourist central) and had quite a few DNFs (or did not stops) bt still cracked 50 for the day (all trads as I had no luck on multis today).
Once I realised I was looking in the wrong spot (lots of grass and stuff there!), this was a quick find (picked the first one). I have seen similar with a native on the north coast but this was just nicely done.

Oh yes getting good at these Sui caches, very quickly onto to this. Old fruit trees provide interesting sculptures but mind the electric fence.
With the weather being so nice we made last minute arrangements with ALL7 to head out to Yass to check out the new caches that have appeared in the area. With the Co along for an afternoon of adventure and giggles, our goal was to clear out the area again.
This one made for a quicker find, probably because we had just seen it not too long ago.
But still very well done.

I was looking forward to this trail and seeing these new more interesting caches than some stuff that comes out.
This CO has produced some great variety of caches. There were tricky ones, challenging ones, creative ones and some straightforward ones. I really enjoyed the day. Tankengine is always great company and thank you for all the driving and having all the equipment we needed for the day. And thank you to the PAFs who helped us find them all in the very limited time we had. Sorry to the CO who were did intend to call for a catch up, but we just took too long and other commitments on my behalf made us have to rush home.

Chooo ooo [FOUND] with DTY73 on an overcast, but otherwise fine day! Now that the Wonders of the World game was active, we decided to come up here and try and see how many Wonders we could find! Managed to score a fair few – but not all of them. Todays caches all turned out to be Sui caches for me! And man, many of the were hard to find. Indeed, we needed to PAF on a number of occasions! In the end, although we didn’t manage to collect all the new Sui caches today, we were happy that we found each one that we attempted… Especially given how tough some of them were!
Nice quick find here! I think we are starting to catch on to Sui's sneakyness! Thanks for the cache Sui!

Good co- ords assisted the goods found and logged .
Many thanks for the cache invite.

I spent Saturday and Sunday driving between Yass, Crookwell, Taralga and Peelwood to visit is many of the caches in this region as I could. The new caches near Yass were all very clever hides that provide a great challenge. I fit in the new Adventure Labs in Crookwell in the afternoon before a chilly night at Bummeroo Ford. Sunday started foggy and stayed that way till after 10. I made it to Peelwood for a cache that I was blocked from on my last visit and finished the day with caches near Goulburn before heading home.
Thanks for the cache Sui_001

I had the right idea for this one and thus found the cache fairly quickly.
Thanks,
Thanks,
21,091. Found during a caching run around the Yass region with minniek.
Needing a few caches for a personal challenge we headed out to this region to complete this series (the Multi was off line when we were here last) and for minniek to fill a JASMER. Heading back from Burrinjuck we did the short detour to this one for a pretty quick find. It helps having found some of this COs caches before !
Thanks Sui_001 !! Lovely drive out here.

Headed out to Lake Burrinjuck with fitzy_1965 to pick up a Jasmer cache.....then cached our way home.
Having found a cache or two by this CO we looked at this a bit differently....no long afterwards, cache was in hand

The CO joined us to keep watch on the next caches down the road towards Yass! He let us search for them all and only one or two hints had to be dropped for the remainder 4 cache hides!
When we approached GZ to this one, DSD told me to check a certain spot. So I had a look here and there, and only JUST caught a glimpse of the hide before I almost dismissed it altogether, phew! It could of been a lot longer search had I not found it on my first go!
Thanks Sui_001, another evil cache

Found at 1:51 PM GAFF1.
Well it has to happen sooner or later - we found the cache in the very first spot that we looked [^]
Even though it was a sneaky hide and there were many options to search in - we got it straight away!
Thanks Sui_001

I was excited to see a few new caches being published around Yass, but haven't had a chance to get out and take a look until today.
This was my first cache attempted for the day (another cache had a few people milling around and I had to give it a miss). I took a look around at a few items and generally poked around for a few minutes, then went back to near where I'd started to take a second look at something - and there it was! I'd actually already touched it and not realised. A simple camouflage but so effective.
Great to see someone putting some effort into their hides!

Yabba Dabba Doo *FTF* !
I had noticed a couple caches came out up here and since I was already half way up here I figured that I could extend the trip a little. It took less long that expected and I arrived at the scene.
This was a quick find, the hint made it easy, but the coordinate are good and would have taken me there just as well. While I had the cache in had I heard a loud noise coming quickly rushing to me, the giant horse in the paddock was thinking I had something to offer him, will see how long it will take him/her to figure out that all these people coming to the fence are not here for him/her
Thank you Sui_001 for putting the cache out and maintaining it.
