This was the last cache to give up it's clue and there was a nice place to sit in the shade to work out my shopping list for the final cache in the series. Thanks for the cache Robmc.
I had not looked at the final at this point so it was good to get a find on the board. Bit slippery on the banks here but luckily the cache was pretty exposed so I could see where to aim for. Left it a bit more covered. Good sized container. Pity I dropped off my trackables at the event in the city today. Thanks.
Had a caching day with Jascat. Took our bikes on the train and headed north to Newport. From there we made our way to this fabulous reserve. TFTC
*12 Oct 2024, Found @12:18PM, Find # 3944.* A nice day spent riding the bike in the reserve enjoying the different vegetation and varied caches. **Thanks to Robmc for placing this cache.**

One of the challenges that I am working on is finding 20 geocaches in every Victorian LGA. Over 3 different visits to the Hobson Bay LGA, I am now up to 16 finds. Today was the day to finish off this LGA and I seemed to have done it in style. 19 finds and no DNFs in this LGA. Most of them by Rob MC, so big thanks to this CO. The main target for today was the Newport Lakes Reserve, and it was a lovely day for a stroll around this beautiful reserve. Minimal people in the area and most caches found in good condition. Most log books do 'appear' full, but only because everyone seems to write on a new page. I walked right past this one a number of times, mostly because I was looking at the wrong elevation. Thanks for the cache, Rob MC.Hunter
A man cannot survive on fruit and vegies alone! Please some steak next time. However, I paired up with another cacher and found the prize. TFTC!
Dodging the ants and spider webs, but an enjoyable find. A lovely day out with my birdwatching son, and grandson. Love making memories. Tftc
Enjoying the walk around the reserve - we have seen quite a few different birds: Fairy Wrens, I think swamp hen (aka Pukekoe in NZ), and some sort of honey eater bird. They seem to love it here, probably the big lake helps. TFTC
Back today to get the rest in this beautiful reserve. Sl thanks for the cache
Kept going up and down the hills for hours but we surprised some.passerbt when we finally found it. Will come back later to find the rest; tftc!
On secondment to Melbourne, Australia, combined with short holidays here and there. Day 26/74, Friday. Today, I first worked some hours in the morning. Then I headed to Newport and made a long walk around the LOVELY Newport Lakes Reserve, enjoying the views, nice weather and, of course, many geocaches in the area. I had the best day! After all that fun I returned to my place of accommodation and continued working, fitting to the schedules of my Finnish colleagues who just started their day. All the Fruit & Veg caches were quick finds in exact coordinates. They were in good condition. I liked the series a lot! Thank you for the cache and greetings from Vaasa, Finland! Arriving close to GZ and realizing I was on the wrong elevation turned a quick park n grab into a short walk to GZTFTC
Picked a wet day to avoid muggles, but didn't count on sliding in the mud! Temporary increase in the terrain rating tftc
*Tenth Day Of Christmas Rainy Cache Bikearama #7*Why? Cos we're crazy. This one was easy to see, but difficult to get to when wet. The terrain leading to it is soft clay. Thanks heaps for the cache!
