What a gorgeous little piece of bush in the middle of this suburb. A quick find with the hint. Tftc
I spotted this nice little bunch of caches, which seemed like a good way to finish the day, before heading back to Hamilton, not realizing matagouri had already done them (he didn't cotton on until we got here either). So we walked around finding them for me only. This is a lovely little patch of bush. Thanks for putting this cache here
Stopped to have a look around this interesting piece of bush, and of course grab some caches. This was a quick and easy grab before wandering around and looking at the trees. Seems in good condition. Tftc #1707
gps settled quick, then I see a kid watching me, don't kids go to school anymore, I quickly changed what I was doing, he soon moved away, back to hunting, let's try the other side, yep found it, tftc
After finding two others around the park you'd have thought I wouldn't be surprised to learn that there are Kauri trees in the middle of south Auckland, and yet, here we are! A nice easy find here, TFTC!
imagine my surprise not knowing what a joists figured it out eventually TFTC & smiley
Thought we would have an explore of this lovely park. Found quite quickly, thank you
( ͠❛ ͜ʖ ͡❛) Came from the wild west to explore the not so wild south, have e-bike and I'm armed and ready and not really dangerous! I am however, flamin' wet and getting a fair bit cold I have to say, but I'm continuing on now it's stopped raining for 5mins.
( ͠❛ ͜ʖ ͡❛) Not the last cache for today, one more after this one. The hint was excellent, got me the cache quickly, you need that when you're cold and wanna go home. No issues with the cache but I did need to replace the paper. All good to carry on with G.

Found this nice kauri-lined entrance to beautiful Kirks bush while walking into town again tonight with Greg and Noel...
Nice placement and of course we TNLNSL TFTC and replaced as found.

Having dropped laval off for some competition practice locally I had a couple of hours to fill....well there are some green dots in the area so lets tidy those up. Mrs NZT joined me as there were a few green dots on their map too.
Nice quick find here. Cache all ok.
Thanks for the cache.

Thanks for the cache.
Keylev had a few hours to kill while one of the boys was doing activities nearby, so we made the most of the Kings birthday - thanks Charlie! and did a few local caches. MrNZT has struggled in the past with the kirks bush caches, but we made quick work of this one with the hint and that has now completed this area for the NZT team! TFTC!
Phew.....luckily someone logged a find on one of my caches today celebrating easy access to GPS signal around the globe....I managed to have lost a day this week as I thought it was the 2nd.... anywho... dashed out to make the find here tonight
The cache is fine and dry.
TFTC.

Heading up to Auckland airport and had spare time to collect some caches. Parked here for lunch and it seemed rude not to look for the nearby hides. Helpful hint made for a quick find. Cache and log all fine. Thanks G_2 for the smiley.
Had some time to kill before meeting other cachers so stopped here. Able to quickly grab and sign. Thank you for the placement.
A G-2 signature cache, the cache you can trust to access the Kirk’s Bush. Thanks for the cache.
Travelling home from the Waikato we stopped off to visit Kirk's Bush, and the caches at the 2 entrances.
A nice quick find at this entrance too, thanks.

Heading home after a fun couple of days caching, couldn't drive past this one without stopping. Pulled up behind another red van (courier) who was sorting some paperwork by the looks of it. Thankfully with a nice clear hint the cache was located swiftly, we were sorry we could not stay any longer but home was calling and a bed that didn't have snoring dogs. TFTC

Suddenly remembered it was a dot day in my calendar and was flying past here thanks to a work visit nearby. Time to apply to breaks stop park dash find. Then on my way again. TFTC haven’t been here is ages. Can see where my rates are being spent
With Gap (of Fap and Gap)… We bolted from the Huntly Community Event and made our way north. The plan was for us to soldier on until our friends caught us up…
We had some early anxiety about this placement. We hoped that we wouldn’t need to squeeze under the walkway to search… Thankfully, this was a kind, considerate hide. Thanks G-2 and TFTC.

In Papakura to pick-up some caches to finish my REACH THE PEAK mountaineering challenge!
Nice little hide and easy find quick (-ish) find thanks to the hint.

Found with TharntheHalken on Day 3 of Mega caching in Auckland. A wet morning in Kirk's Bush. All good in cache, tftc!
Found no problem.
Really like the tube in the bottle to stop the log getting stuck

Enough time left before dinner to go for a stroll. Easy find. A shame about the rubbish everywhere. Thanks for placing the cache
That's Kirk's Bush completed for me with this #1 cache. Lovely little bit of bush remnant in the suburbs. TFTC # 17,962
Up and around the corner (bend more like) and soon near this one. Spotted George and Barbara emerging from you know where, looked like they'd been dragged through a hedge backwards. All good here, thanks.
On for a nice loop walk around kirk's bush (don't tell you know who Su) and with the day starting to warm a nice early stroll was just the thing. Also nice to gobble up another half dozen G caches in this area.
It's the day of the MEGA, finally after the stop starts that the pesky virus has put upon us, though maintaining good health so far is also important. I have quite a busy day planned for the day, though not really that much caching as I am helping out for a couple of hours later in the hall with the supporters packs and scan checks. I managed to get a few though, and some good ones amongst them too. Thanks to all the COs and the organisers of the event for providing pleasure and enjoyment for me and others.

It's good that little bits of bush have been retained of the thousands of hectares that once would have covered the land. The botanist in me enjoys spotting the similarities and differences in vegetation compared to the upper South Island. The cacher in me just wants to keep on moving. Thanks for bringing me here.
Off for a walk through Kirks bush today to find these caches, despite driving past this bush area alot we've never actually been here, first one a quick find! Tftc
A nice quick find thanks. Not too many people around luckily.
Time for another trip to the North Island for Ms_KR and me. Wellington and beyond here we come. Today we toured to Hamilton. It is a hot summer so far!
Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

Didn't want to get off the boardwalk and kompromise the kauri so KR did the groveling in suitably gymnastic pose. Tftc
Nice easy find here for M12, perfectly cut piece of conduit, slipped in there nicely

Just down the road...easy find, all intact. Love walking the dog through Kirk's bush
The funniest thing I've seen today is GeohoundandI trying to teach the geohound how to clean his feet at the cleaning stations.
As we approached this one and I read out the hint, once again Daddypig's Assistant had the cache in her hands before anybody else had a chance to look.

Found on a little caching tour to finally finish the Solar System Wonder challenge. It took me long enough... In fact it took me so long, that the next challenge "Reach the peak" has already started...
This was a nice and easy little fellow. Thanks for hiding and maintaining.

I'm trying to get my kid back into caching so was hoping an easy one might do the trick! This was a quick one. Probably the wrong time of day to go in but maybe some other time tftc
On a trip up to Auckland to pick up some challenge caches that I have fulfilled and we were going past here so I picked up a few trads as well. This one was a bit trickier but my eagle eyed hubbie found it. TFTC
Been to Kirk's Bush before to find caches, now there are some new ones so, while in Papakura for a couple of hours with GAR going further south for dog-related stuff, I came to try and find these new ones. This was my first find - appropriate given the name - and it was right where it said it would be. Luckily my little geo dog decided to be patient and not bark her head off as she has been known to do before! Autographed and replaced as found. Thanks for the hide G-2!
Nice quick park and grab on our way back south. Thanks for the cache. Nice camo.
A nice quite Saturday and a list of caches to grab.
Took a bit to figure out the correct side, once that was established it was a quick find

I was out at Papakura this morning so stopped by to visit this recent replacement cache, nice quick find here, cheers
Wasn’t expecting such a large bush here.Had fun going in and out of the disinfecting stations.Made a nice quick find here once we worked out the west side.
Nice walk, easy find too! I’m up from the bay of plenty for a night or so, thought I’d get a few finds before I leave
Last one for today. Easy find here and now the bush is once again a sea of smiley's
On our way home we decided to check this bush out and of course the caches. Auckland has a few of these bushes around the place. Found one just down from our hotel. But no caches. Dot was quick off the mark and comes up with the find. Tftc
Always liked the name Kirk's Bush. I also like the fact it's a nice walk and the caches are in good condition. TFTC.
I was turning the car around to park in the shade and by the time I got there Mrs Jag had the cache in hand
On a girls day out with Merlot58 and Nette1234 we detoured to find any unfound caches in this park. While Merlot58 parked the car in a shady spot very close to gz, the others jumped out of the car and had this one in hand by the time Merlot caught us up. Good that this cache can be reached from the path!
Had time on my hands this morning, so jumped off the bus in Beach Road to grab this cache, a quick easy find, was straight on to it and my eyes sighted something, that made me go hmmm, TFTC,
So pleased to come back to this lovely bush area..
Thanks Glyn
Easy find once I got the right joists...
Cheers ..

Geocaching is boosting our education - we now know what a joist is! Simple but effective camouflage.
Mr HeMaLuDy was at home and about to wash Purply's cricket trousers that he played in earlier in the day. The notification came out and was less than one km from home. The trousers can wait. As he was headed out the door, the notification for Kirks bush the other one came out and it's even closer. Surely a FTF is possible. So in the rain off he went. Got the other FTF, then onto this one. Parking within 12m of the cache, no one else around, a brief search and the container is in hand. Opening up and a blank log is revealed. Yay a second FTF. Signed the log, returned the cache to its hide and off to complete the cleaning of the trousers. TFTC
I missed the FTF by six minutes. HeMaLuDy lives right around the corner, so they had already been there and gone. TFTC.
