Spending a short time in Goulburn with ilook4geo. Had a little list of target caches to find and each was found successfully. Worked this one out and picked it up before heading back to camp. Thanks for this cache placement go to my_name_jeff_1.
Stopped in Goulburn to pick up a few more caches before heading further south with goingplaces2. It was a quick find after seeing the mile post and getting the new numbers. Two more names were added to the log. TFTC.
Find# 11470Nice easy find.We found this cache on the ground. We have added another logsheet and reinstall the cache where it should have been. TFTC my_name_jeff_1 5 July 2024
EthisEthat and I joined forces today for an expedition to Goulburn where we attended a CITO, found plenty of caches, and got up to some shenanigans along the way.EE had sorted this multi out previously and was surprised to find it in the radius of an older cache.Still, some other folks we'd grabbed some other caches with confirmed that both were in situ, and we headed over to check things out.Indeed, this one was here, and our names both entered its logbook. Thanks to my_name_jeff_1 for placing this one!
I distinctly remember solving this cache while stopping at the nearby traffic lights. Quickly managed to jot down the details and GZ revealed itself. After finding some nearby caches me and Brain were able to quickly detour to GZ where the cache was soon sighted and subsequently signed. TFTC my_name_jeff_1!
Goulburn Day 2 & have settled into the caravan park for the next few days. Our plan today was to head out of town to do the Marvel Mystery Series & Birds of AustraliaThe Marvel puzzle took many days to work through some time ago. I only know a handful of MarvelsDuring the day we stopped at 3 VC rest stops & also a few other caches that we passed along the way.A nice way to visit the town & area is by following the geocaching trail. This was the closest cache to where we are staying. Thanks my_name_jeff_1 for hiding this cache.
Our holiday was almost over but not before enjoying a caching trip in Goulburn with an overnight stay in our favourite accommodation first. With plenty of presolved puzzles and letterboxes Goulburn has plenty to offer any geocacher.A nice easy find at GZ once the numbers were acquired. Thanks my_name_jeff_1 for the multi placement.
Sydney Courier Run!Day Three: Goulburn to BarhamWeather: sensational. I love this series! I wish we had preserved more of these in the Adelaide Hills where I live. Only time for this one today, but I shall continue to seek these out each time I pass through Goulburn. GZ calculated - dang! - I was there earlier! A bit of trepidation at GZ as it looks like there has been an accident, but all good, its in the other one.Photo: one near my home. Thanks for this multi and the series my_name_jeff_1. Its officially a megaGCA1DNA The Great Leap ForwardAdelaide, South Australia February 29, 2024Wed love to have your company.
Day 2 of our Christmas - New Year 2023 holidays, and we will be leaving Goulburn soon. However, following our usual holiday traditions, Huntress was off on a long run, 999HK was sleeping and Im off geocaching. Got most of the targetted geocaches last night, so this morning was getting the last few targetted caches and whatever caught my eyes.999HK and Huntress solved this one when I drove past going the wrong way. Fortunately, it was a nice easy find later as we drove past the area again. Thanks for the cache My Name Jeff 1Hunter
Mr Minion and I are spending a few days in Goulburn finding caches, we are really enjoying the town and the variety of the hides. Thanks for the cache tnln replaced as found sl
Short day out with caching colleagues before I needed to be home to pickup the grandkids. Fun few hours. Quick find on our way through. TFTC my_name_jeff_1.
Some caching around Goulburn today. Multi quickly solved and spot-on co-ordinates made for a quick find at GZ with parking adjacent to the cache. Container and log in good condition.
Thanks, my_name_jeff_1!
Thanks, my_name_jeff_1!
My aim for the day was to get some multis, finish all of the adventure labs and attempt to find any solved puzzles on the map in Goulburn.
This one had solved coordinates already from yesterday so it was just a matter of grabbing it - I used google maps to solve.
All good here TFTC

After today's lunch time we all relocated to GZ for this cache and made a quick find.
I noticed though that I had made a mistake in my calculations and my GZ was 73 m away. Thank goodness I was with people who knew what they are doing.

Numbers were collected during the CITO today which was held close by.
Then it was time to head GZ where the log was signed by the small group from the event.
Thanks my_name_jeff_1
These posts are historic, but it’s great to see them still around.

Cache 9965 on 1 Apr 2023.
Out with Bobl27 to collect a few caches around Goulburn before I head to the mega next week and claim cache number 10,000. Just grabbing some easy pick ups as I need to nurse a twisted ankle before getting more physical next week! 36 finds from 36 caches looked for, a pleasant drive in the country!
This cache: solved and quick find. These little markers are so cute.
Thanks my_name_jeff_1 for the cache and the fun!

After finding out that I wasn’t needed for work today, I decided on heading to Goulburn for the lunchtime CITO. However, before I arrived I went on a cache finding spree. I managed to get quite a few quick and easy finds of the Elements series plus a few others which have been on the to-find-list. Once it was getting close to event time, I went and got KFC for lunch. The event was a small crowd this time with only the CO, Minniek, Toy Hunters, Sebass19 and myself. A few bags of rubbish was filled. Afterwards, Toy Hunters, Sebass19, myself with the assistance Fitzy_1965 went to find some more caches which required some very special TOTT’s. At 2pm, I headed off from them to go home but not before finding three more caches before the drive home. It was a great day. TB visit on all found caches. I would like to thank all CO’s of the caches I found and for allowing them to bring me and the caching community enjoyment. TFTE & TFTC’s!
This was first of three I did before heading home. After leaving the group, I made my way down the hill and soon was at GZ of this one. A quick find here and now across the road for the next cache.

As it is the first day of my school holidays today, I decided what better way to celebrate then an afternoon geocaching with the kids. The geokids were quick to get on board on the proviso that we did NOT do any crazy bushwalks. We decided to head to Goulburn so we could also participate in our first CITO event.
As we arrived at Goulburn the kids spotted the park and my daughter said in a longing voice "I wish we could play" they were shocked when I responded with "sure". The kids ran off to play not realising my ulterior motive was to collect this multi.
Quickly retrieved the required information and got to work solving it. Once I had the coordinates I made a plan to collect it on our way home.
By the time we were heading home it was VERY late and not much light was left. We pulled up and without hesitation my little man went searching and quickly had it found. Log signed and replaced. Now for the drive home

Found It!
Collected the numbers from WP1, did the maths and wondered what I got wrong since the final was only about 80m from another cache. But once I got there I found the cache anyway so all good.

Found on a 50-cache day-trip to Goulburn for GGGT events #57 and #58. Quick solve at WP1 and then I was happy to see where abouts GZ was, I had said to myself earlier in the day that this would've made a good spot for a cache considering what was around in the area. Quick find. TNLNSL. TFTC!
Who knew that a mile has a stone.
We headed into the flooded eastern states for a week of geocaching fun. The mission was Frying Pan. The only December 2000 placed cache remaining in Australia. All other choices for this month are international. Traveling in style and comfort we selected the next cache on merit and forward movement. Some back tracking was required in the wettest areas. Wildlife seen included a lyre bird, king parrot and a single leech. Mozzies were a pest. Caches were found and signed. Wet logs were wet. Water does that. Numerous TOTTs were employed.
Warning, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun.
Thanks for the cache. Merci la cache. Danke für den Cache. Gracias por el caché. Bedankt voor de cache. Kiitos kätköstä. Zikomo posungira. Terima kasih untuk cache. Hvala cache. Köszönöm a cache. Nga mihi mo te keteroki. Dankie vir die kas.

Found on a trip from Adelaide to NSW and back with Freddo.
Our main target was ‘Frying Pan’ in the Chichester State Forest, near Barrington Tops north of Newcastle.
We allowed ourselves a week to travel there and back, taking a circuitous route through Victoria and NSW, camping each night and finding a range of caches of interest along the way.
Rains over the past few months meant a few detours along the way and plenty of water about, restricting access to some caches and camping areas. Many of the roads were quite chopped up with potholes and the mosquitoes were plentiful! But we had a good run with the weather, with just the odd shower, but mostly fine, warm and overcast.
Thanks my_name_jeff_1 for the cache.

Having returned to Canberra after a long journey it was time to start visiting some of the newer caches that have been published while I have been away. I found out the periodic events in Goulburn are on today, so I headed out around lunch to visit Breadalbane for a Where-i-go, Labs at the cemetery and new caches up Greys hill before having a pre event catch-up with Fitzy.
After the Labs, it was time to get the final for this multi that I started who knows how long ago. This was found quickly and I was on my way to the new caches on Mt Grey.

Out with GreyHams on a mostly nice sunny day. With the recent rain there was plenty of water lying about, the little car got, well... just a 'little' muddy! Thankfully though we stayed dry and clean enough! Wow, it was a long day that saw us cover a lot of distance, climb a few hills, and collect a lot of good quality caches along the way. Generally, most caches were found in good condition, all at the coordinates and dry although a few have not held up to the rain and were in poor or very wet condition.
Thanks for your cache that led to a good day out!

Nice easy calculation and pickup. Thanks for these, I worked all of them out and found all butb the one needing the special tool, which I will find another time. Thanks for an interesting series.
A very quick find at gz. Ticking off a couple of categories that I need for my calendar today. TFTC MNIJ.
We took the dog food but could not find the Geocaching capsule is it in the tree??

We've had some great days in Goulburn and a few mixed ones with showers. Mornings are cold but it often improves during the day.
The caching has been excellent though with most hides in good order and a variety of types and hides with some puzzles we have been able to solve pre arrival. We have enjoyed quite a number of multis that have been straightforward and that we have had success with.
We have now completed 4 of the 5 Adventure Labs but remain stuck on one!
Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache my_name_jeff_1.

We planned a day or two in Goulburn, and sent a text to Rapidlywild to see if she could join us.
Sunday seemed to suit, so the target was - to find as many multi's as we could.
Rapidlywild came organised with pen and paper and the questions written out.
That made everything much easier, when solving.
Some gave us a few headaches, but after checking sums, we came out with the right numbers.
Most logs were signed as 'TDR' (for The Drovers & Rapidlywild), to save on time and space.
A big 'Thank You' to Rapidlywild for joining us, and making the day so much more fun.
A quick find, signed and replaced.
Many thanks for placing this cache, my_name_jeff_1, for us and others to find.

Recieved a text from The Drovers who had plans to venture around Goulburn for the day doing a spot of caching before the terrible weather hits on Monday. Yeah awesome, I have a few to collect in Goulburn so would be nice to get a few more smilies around the area.
The weather was rather brisk and the wind would rip right through our jackets/jumpers today but we kept on chasing those smilies. Our main targets today were multi caches as there seems to have been an explosion of them around the place since my last visit. We managed to do ok today, had issues with one of the multis which unfortunately resulted in a DNF, a trad which will need to be archived as the property is now a private residence and a few very wet logs which we replaced with dry log sheets.
Another nice quick simple single offset multi and a quick find once at GZ. Most of todays logs were signed as "TDR" for The Drovers Rapidlywild to save space on the logs.
Thanks for the hides my_name_jeff_1 And thanks to The Drovers for a fun day out and about around Goulburn [^].

Day 4 of our 2 week road trip south from Brisbane. The first three days have been nothing but trouble. Floods to be avoided on day 1, bogging the car for most of day 2 and the in-car fridge deciding to stop working properly on day 3. Starting day 4 hoping things can only get better...
I had solved this multi during my trip preparation back home. Today my route to another cache brought me directly past GZ so I stopped in for a look. Cache quickly found in the likely spot. TFTC

After a pleasant morning caching down towards Lake Burrinjuck collected the odd cache on our way back home. Called into Goulburn for some refreshments and picked up some multis before heading off. After collecting the required information went and found the cache. With cache in hand we signed the log and replaced as found. Both the cache container and log are in good condition. Thanks for the cache my_name_jeff_1.

Our evening walk got quite a bit longer when we decided to go for this final. If only I’d found the solution a few days earlier I could have saved a couple of visits to this area. Nice to have a milestone ticked off.
We found and worked this multi out a few weeks ago. Just getting around to log it on.

A few days caching in the ACT and surrounds with Steeba, Wilbert67 and The Rats, another trip away like countless others that we have done before. We got the dates, we did the planning, we worked out a route. But there was one thing that we could not plan for; the weather.
The caches were excellent. The company faultless. The weather; atrocious. Rain, rain, rain. And then more rain. On several occassions we had to change our intended route, abandon plans, and even came home a day early. Alas, the rain had been predicated, but we had hoped it would stay away.
Please forgive the boiler-plate log, I assure you it is no reflection on the caching experience of our few days away. Thank you to all cache owners for their hides.
Cheers

Our first post-lockdown caching run with steeba, Hoojar and Wilbert had been planned for months and whatya know it - we forgot to let the weather gods know our plans. NSW experienced torrential rain and chilling winds across most of the state, but that didn't stop us.
Thursday night saw us grab a few caches and dinner around Goulburn before starting down the back roads to Collector, but alas after enduring 2hrs of driving rain, winds that cut straight through us and finger numbing coldness we decided to cut our losses for the evening.
I'm sure I've stopped at GZ for a previous find, but today this a nice easy find

A days caching around Goulburn. I remember these sorts of markers around Victoria along the roads 60 years ago. TFTC.
Tankengine and I were in town to find a couple of caches.
It was a cold, windy, wet day, but ended up being very productive.
Most caches found without issues, unless stated otherwise.
This cache: Took TB. All fine with the cache. Tftc my_name_jeff_01

I remember eating Weetbix in this park when our family traveled to Victoria many years ago. There was a talking mushroom here. You put in 20c and it gave a history of the town.
Having done this series backwards, this was my final find in the milestones series. Took some time out to admire the gorgeous evergreen oak that overhangs the milestone, then made the short drive to make the find.

Being we were up early anyway after doing the animal run we headed out and had a successful days outing.
Nice easy multi and quick find at GZ

I was out caching in the Goulburn region with Sol de Lune and LuckyL10n today, chasing as many GC and GCA caches as we could. They included trads, multis, mysteries, trigs, virtuals and ALs. The weather was not the best but the caches and company could not have been better. Thanks to all the COs for placing and maintaining the caches that we managed to find today.
Apologies for the generic logs. All logs were signed.

#11289 - 1:11:00 PM; Set out on a cold, windy morning with Sol de lune and Smitten granny on a caching mission which will take us north to Goulburn along country roads and through some of the smaller towns and villages between the ACT and there. Now in Goulburn, our main focus was on the local multis and after gathering the required information, we set off for a retrun visit to an area we had been earlier in the day to log this cache. I worked this out the other day and today made it to GZ to make the find. Cache and log are good. TFTC by my_name_jeff_1.

We had the car booked in for a bit of mechanical work in Goulburn where we met up with alansee who very kindly offered to chauffeur us around on a less than perfect day for caching.
The good old days when we were using miles, things seemed a lot closer as you didn't have as far to travel as we do these days ;-). but those days are gone and the reminders are caches like this at the old markers.
We collected the required information, did the math's and then headed off to gz and we were rewarded with a nice easy find when we got there.
Our names were added to the log and everything was retuned as found.
Thanks my_name_jeff_1 for this cache, we learnt some interesting trivia here.

Never noticed these old school markers before, so this was quite an interesting multi and showed me something overlooked! They are certainly more interesting then the basic green markers you see around...!
After parking nearby and walking over the numbers were soon found, crunched and the cache was found later once in the vicinity.
Thanks! Great little piece of history and a good description on something new to learn about

Spent the day completing Adventure Lab caches and Multicaches in Goulburn and beyond. I had a fairly productive day in between the light showers. Thankfully most of the rain came down while I was on the roads between towns. Thanks to all the Cache Owners for their contributions to this recreational activity.
Juggled waypoints for 5x Multi's and 2x AL's to make an efficient drive around Goulburn. This Multicache didn't take too much effort to complete. TFTC!

Day out in Goulburn and Gunning. Got cords and quick find at gz. Signed and replaced. Tftc
Tried to pick this one up yesterday but got muggled out.
All quiet here today so made a quick and easy find.

Could see one side from the road, but had to call in to see the other side. This seems to be a different shape to the ones I remember (although your background image is closer to the mark). I assume the M is for Mittagong, since Marulan is too close.
Got the answers then headed out to GZ for a quick find.
Thanks,

Quickly gathered the details, crunched the numbers, then off to GZ for a quick find on my way out of town. TFTC jeff_1
I liked the simplicity of this one. Great multi if you need a quick leg stretch and are heading north. TFTC
Well, Finalf29 and I had planned to kayak today but definitely not in this heat and wind... so what to do? What!!!... just realised it was 11 degrees cooler in Goulburn... OK time for another Goulburn raid. I had a wonderful afternoon finding an Adventure Lab, mystery, multis & trads and all with my best bud
Nice little multi. I don't know why but I have always loved Milestones... maybe it is a bit of the tangible past just sitting on the side of the road... so sad there are fewer and fewer of them. Easy find of information and quick crunch of numbers... then off to the slightly wrong place. OK that z did look a lot like a 2... should have had my glasses on. Anyway quick find once I had crunched those number correctly. Surprisingly another 2TF (sorry not counting Fitzy's log). Thanks

22,089. Found during an easy days caching around Goulburn.
I helped my_name_jeff_1 plan, research and place this cache. He and his brothers want to put more caches out, so I'm happy to help them. Glad jaybeem managed the first to find, so today I'll claim this one. Stay tuned for more in the series !

Tftc. Quickly made the calculations while sitting in the park. Quite surprised to find a blank log on arrival.
