My coordinates a bit out; not sure why. With the hint, all was revealed and in good condition. TFT best hidden dog mural.
With my late night shenanigans continuing I thought to myself why not go out and pick up another multi after a short 1hr wait listening to a podcast in a Mcdonald's car park waiting for it to tick over midnight. With the acquired WP information I was able to quickly do the math and head on over to GZ. After a quick look the cache was spotted and signed. These midnight runs do come in clutch with the distance I am having to travel for these ones nowadays. Anyways thanks for the cache and the little adventure.
Spring Victorian Incursion 2024.Day Thirteen: Mostly Mornington Peninsula.Weather: glorious!!Im on my way south, but thought I would detour here and finish what I started the other day. A stationary muggle thwarted my earlier attempt. Even at an early-ish hour parking spots are hard to come by here, so when I finally found one and walked the walk I was thinking it would be just my luck to find another muggle settling in for the duration. No, all clear, and a quick find was made. I thought that the Dogs of Sandringham mural was very well done. Thanks for showing it to me with this multi gmj3191.
This was a fabulous wall of beautiful (mainly) dogs. I was so impressed with the pictures that I sent a video of them to my dog loving daughter. After doing the calculations I arrived at the calculated coordinates and following an extensive search I couldnt find GZ. I realised I had gone wrong somewhere and then I looked at some previous logs and my geosenses kicked in and I finally found the prize.
Was needing to be in the area this morning so went past the worked out GZ as last time a muggle was exactly where I needed to be. All clear today although people were out on a Saturday morning- Quick duck in and scan and the cache was found , signed and replaced although thr screwing mechanism took a while to engage. Puzzle I did a little while ago - thanks gmj3191 for the cache.
Find 3317A revisit to this Multi after our recent DNF.Today we were confident as it has been found so we went straight to neat little park.Still no luck.Time to rethink. Sitting down we went over our calculations and decided that a slight error was made.Just had to wait out a muggle on the other seat. After about 5 minutes he left.straight over to our amended GZ and there it was .Log signed and all back safe again. Thanks gmj3191
The weather gods have been so kind to us giving us a beautiful calm sunny winters day to cache on our trip to the other side of the bay on our long weekend mini break. We were able to use the fact that it was a weekday to our advantage as there were significantly less muggles around to see our shenanigans searching for caches in somewhat busy locations. This is certainly a gmj319 day with many puzzles solved, long awaiting to be picked up and also working through all the local multis we headed south down Beach Rd zipping in and out of all the various car parks.A quick call into Coles before attempting this multi for some chocolate replenishments to keep our energy levels up lol With the numbers in hand we were able to make a discreet find in the well place gz location. Lucky it wasnt in the place we suspected as their was a muggle sitting right there Thanks gmj3191 for the multi placement.
Not a good start to the day at GZ.No muggles and after a pretty good search nothing showed up.We felt we were at the right spot as per the hint.Anyway I will put a watch and see what happens from there.
Got to see a beautiful mural of gorgeous dogs, and took a lovely walk to a small park, finishing my cacheing trek for the day! TFTC
Muggle free today. Quick easy find.Log and container a little damp. Did what I could to dry.Great to have a cache so close to home.
Gz well defended by muggles. Will make another attempt later.Given this one so close to home, won't be long.
We read about Jessie in the other cache a while back and were back in the area today. The wall was certainly a hit with the team and the final location was right near where we parked which was a bonus! TFTC
Out and about with My good caching mate Omegaman1971, there are always plenty of laughs while we are turning caches into smiles. This is one of the caches found today. This was an enjoyable multi and I can live with this type of container. Thanks gmj3191 for the cache.
This multi was an absolute delight because of the quality of the mural. It makes a pleasant change from the garish daubs that proclaim the presence of a bunch of spray can armed vandals. Thank you for sharing Jessie's life with me.
We loved the concept of this cache, the dog mural was just gorgeous. Gz was a peaceful pretty corner of the world with an easy find. Thanks for creating this hide gmj3191
You'd think spotting a Dalmatian on this wall would be easy, but oh no, my eyes were decidedly not working. It took about three slow walks before I finally spotted Jessie. I struggled to work out which stage she was in, but after a few minutes, I had that sorted.
At GZ, it took a while to find the cache. I looked from one side and then another. The place was empty, and I didn't feel too uncomfortable looking. I switched tactics, started looking for the telltale cable tie, and then bingo! I had it.
Jessie is a reasonably popular dog name, and I had a Jessie myself for several years. She was given to us after a couple decided they didn't want dogs anymore because they were planning a family; I don't agree with this, but better to give up your dog than ignore it.

Lovely murals, shame I couldn't enjoy more with the rain coming down. It would be a great honour and reminder having your 4 legged family member there
This evening's plan was to go geocaching in the Sandringham area. For some challenges, I needed a non-traditional, a
Mystery and a Multicache for today. I was aiming to halve the number of caches that I needed for my next milestone planned for the Mega. Unfortunately the traffic, my inability to see an obvious geocache and the rain was a big hamper to my plans.
Thanks for the cache GMJ 3191

I was dropped off at a station up the line after a trip to Ballarat, and had plenty of time before I was expected at home, so this was the perfect opportunity to get, well, sidetracked.
And how could I not come and visit this tribute to a good dog?
Some counting, a bit of walking, and a weird bit of deja vu container spotting.
Thanks, gmj3191.

I love the idea of this street art. So many lovely portraits, including the gorgeous Jessie. We took our time, admiring all the beautiful doggies of Sandringham before concentrating on the main girl. With the calculations completed, we arrived at a nice secluded area and had the cache in hand in no time.
Thank you gmj3191 for bringing us here today. Jessie sounds like she had a wonderful life with your family.

With geodog Tonka on a perfect caching weather day
Driving to Melbourne from Port Lincoln to visit my son and had a few picked out on the way.
WOW. being a dog lover I was blown away and wanted to cuddle every puppy on the wall
I am quite surprised. There are so many dogs but so many rules were dogs can and can’t be at certain times ect or not at all. Was half way through a lab cache the other day to find I couldn’t get 3 of them because no dogs were aloud.
Anyway that’s my rant
But wow. Having done Jessie’s cache I knew what dog I was looking for and what a lovely picture. ️
Worked out the coords and just a quick cache grab on the way I found what I was looking for. What a lovely area to live in.
Log book unfortunately is soaking wet but I managed to stamp and not ruin any of the book.
Thank you gmj3191 for the great areas you have brought me to while my quick visit to Melbourne. I have enjoyed every cache I have done here.
FP definitely deserves in the name of all dogs

Cache freshened up with a new container, with an improved o ring, especially lubricated.
Log book etc replaced too.
Cable tie had tightened up so it was replaced too.

HERE in Melbs on a multi mission again when I get the chance. Just happen to be in the burbs and so happy to discover this amazing mural - what a gem and what a lovely tribute to doggy friends. Numbers were computed and then it was off to a nicely constructed GZ. TFTC and the FUN again.
An awesome mural! Was a quick find at GZ, although logbook was quite hard to write in, may need some attention. TFTC
Had to tip out water from inside cache, log soaked, sachets... overloaded. Lovely mural though, and thank you for taking us there! Tftc!
The pictures on the mural are awesome. Thank you for bringing us here. Quick find at GZ, shame water has got in TFTC
What a lovely way to commemorate a beloved pet. Coords easily determined and cache quickly found at GZ with no muggles around. Log book was a bit wet, but not wet enough to prevent logging. TFTC
Found with CJDenno. We solved the puzzle a few months ago and had never had time to find it. Today we stepped up and found it. We parked the car at the posted coordinates because we wanted to do a little walk. We arrived at GZ and we quickly spotted the container. We then proceeded to write our names in the log. The cache, container and log are all in excellent condition.

Having solved this one a few months ago, PrezDough, Robert470 and I made our way to the posted coordinates and we showed the newbie (Rob) how to attempt a multi. He hasn’t upgraded to Premium yet, so he tagged along anyways and quickly worked out the GZ.
We then decided to walk to GZ and make the find. Traipsing through back street laneways and alleys, we arrived at GZ and quickly made the find.
It’s certainly well hidden and should remain Muggle free.
We soon had our monikers in the log which was slightly damp, and we let it sit in the sun for a bit to dry out, but I think it needs a good 30mins of sun to be happily dry.
Anyways, the cache and container are in excellent condition and the journey here was great as we don’t often find ourselves in these back laneways. It’s great to see these highlighted through geocaching.
Thanks gmj3191. A great little multi on a reasonably nice day. Jessie must’ve been a gem to have around.

Out caching in the Sandringham area with xambo4u, we had a successful day and managed to avoid the rain that deluged other parts of Melbourne.
It was a joy to see all these well-loved dogs on display in a place we would never go to except for geocaching. We found Jessie, did our calculations, and set off. After searching for a while with no luck, I sent a message for help. Before I had a reply I realised our mistake which was quickly corrected and the cache located and signed. Thanks gmj3191.

I’ve read about Jessie before and it was lovely to visit the lane. Cache was quickly spied and signed. Plenty of cover, so no stress about Muggles on this sunny winter day. TFTC
Out for a Saturday stroll. I used to work for the old Sandringham Council in the parks. For one year I did that. I loved that job. I had a little hut on the foreshore and all these little parks were my responsibility. It’s good to come back.

Heading over to the coast today to grab a multi for my multi calendar days challenge and grabbing a few other caches along the way.
Solved a couple of other local multi's for another day but this one I decided to find.
Great sad but also happy story, loved the imaged on the wall and the cache was found quickly in good condition.

Great fun working out the puzzle answers from the mural. So many gorgeous dogs up on the wall. Once I had written down what I thought were the correct numbers I went back to the car for some working out of the final co ords. Got my final numbers and headed to where GZ should be. After navigating the traffic which is building, I found myself at a lovely destination. A short search later I had the cache in hand and signed the log. I was happy to find this one as I wasn't sure I had read the clues correctly at the mural. Thanks for a great cache. A favourite point from me for taking me to the awesome mural full of beautiful dogs.
We are in the area as Wednesdays we provide a taxi service to get our grandchildren to and from school/kindergarten. And 6 hours to fill in! Stop number 9 and the last stop for the day. We were able to park quite close to the posted coordinates. The matrix was very impressive. With the required information we calculated the coordinates for GZ. A short drive brought us to the required location. Fortunately this was quiet and we found the cache quickly. As we signed the log a father and child turned up so a little more care was required to return the container to where we found it. Thanks to gmj3191 for the cache.

We were staying very local for the long weekend and decided to try for this cache. We visited the mural on day 1 and loved looking at all the dogs, Jessie looked gorgeous and we wish we could have had a cuddle. After looking at all the dogs twice we did the calculations for GZ and decided to leave finding for another day. We visited the mural again the next day as my better half said she wanted to check the numbers which she did over the next 30 mins while checking our all the dogs again. Later in the day we drove passed GZ but decided to leave the find until this morning. So today it was an early walk to GZ to look for it but the overnight rain made everything soaking wet. A quick look and nothing obvious could be seen so looked at the hint, it was then that the cache was spotted and I was nominated to get wet reaching for it.
TNLNSL Thanks for a very enjoyable cache, did I tell you that we loved looking at all the dogs.

Found with McLookers on a great day for caching. I was still looking when McLookers and found and signed the log!
Alansee did the hard yards on this multi on an earlier visit. Today we found the cache. Thanks gmj3191, nice story about Jessie.
I loved the artwork, that would have taken forever. Had to come back a second day to log as a muggle was sitting on the seat having a loooong call on their mobile yesterday.
GZ is the perfect place for a snack and rest on my way back from a ride to Port Melbourne. It’s been a morning of adventures. Now for the ride home. Gathered the clues a couple of weeks ago. What a nice way to honour a beloved family member. A favourite point from me for the idea and for bringing me to this nice little park. TFTC
Working on the multi month challenge. This was definitely a CUTE little multi. TFTC
Thank you for the pointer to the nice mural and for the personal story! Quick find on the bike ride home from the beach.

**The Solve:** We visited the mural site one cold wintry day but waited til today when it was a bit quieter at GZ. Straight-forward solve, once Jessie was spotted (get it? Dalmatian, spotted? Never mind).
**The Adventure:** Having dropped geohubby at train station for his annual Boxing Day Test catch-up etc etc I made my way to GZ. I noted the hint to make a quick find. Thanks gmj3191 for placing and checking that the cache was indeed hiding for our geo-enjoyment. Cache on

Hand sanitiser was used before and after accessing the cache.

We couldn't find this cache. Loved the mural of the dogs but we wouldn't have known it was there but for this geocache. Not sure if the recent tree-trimming had anything to do with our DNF. Thanks anyway.
Finally put a day aside to just cache. Dropped 1 geokid off at a course and away we go.
Beautiful mural but it’s a sham it’s hidden away in this laneway. Had to wait for some muggles it GZ. Finally signed. TFTC

Not often do I get time just with the geo teenager and she enjoys driving about so we decided to get take away and find some caches.
She quickly found Jessie and we did the maths. GZ looked good. And soon the cache was signed.
Thanks to gmj3191 for the placement and fun.

It's been quite a while since I did more than a handful of caches in a day. Now that we have a 15 km.s limit, there are more that I can do. Today I mainly targetted caches that were good for the Peaks souvenirs.
I remember meeting Jessie many years ago when I came across the CO doing a cache out Braeside way. She was indeed a lovely dog.
My initial guess for A clearly wouldn't work and so I counted from the other end. I'm not sure if there was something more obvious I missed. Anyway I came up with a set of co-ords and, upon visiting, looked likely. And after a short search using the hint, the cache was found and logged.
My thanks to gmj3191 for the cache.

We have watched the various stages of this mural appear, and we even know a few of the pooches proudly showing off their portraits. This is a great artwork, created as part of the Sandy Street Art Project, one of many bringing colour to the local area. With the numbers counted, it was off to GZ and a quick find in a familiar location!

This afternoon I decided to go for my lockdown walk in the rain, thinking there would not be many people about. I was wrong! A steady stream of passersby made this 'grab' a little tricky. Combine that with masks and sanitiser and I eventually signed and replaced the cache.
The dog art is wonderful – I know a few dogs that are featured, and it brought back some wonderful memories. Thanks for the cache gmj3191

Been waiting a while to pop down to this lovely part of the world and make my mark in the logbook. I just needed to wait for a most auspicious day. Today was one such day of a handful in the calendar.
As always, a thoughtful placement although I'm a little unsure as to the longevity of the natural camo. It already looks like it has taken a bit of a beating.

Thank You for the Cache! Really enjoyed finding the murals in Sandringham. Really lovely tribute cache!
#1858 Had a spot on the double cache day calendar that needed filling (actually there are lots of them!) Brought along geo-dog to appreciate the artwork but she was more interested in sniffing along the wall . Got the answers and headed off to GZ where the find was made pretty quickly. This is why I enjoy caching... Discovering spots that I would have otherwise not known about. The artwork for starters and the GZ location which I have never really noticed before when driving or riding past. A fav deserved. TNLNSL. TFTC gmj3191.
Apologies for the late log. My limited caching is only surpassed by the slowness of my logging at the moment! I was out completing some Adventure Lab caches in bayside this evening and once that was complete I decided to try this recent multi as my next target. Parked nearby and examined the excellent mural by torchlight. Grabbed the info I needed and relocated the car to a more convenient spot. Again the coast was clear and I was able to poke around until I made the find. Not the first cache I've found with Jessie as subject matter if I recall correctly. Took nothing. left nothing. signed log and visited some trackables. Thanks for the multi cache gmj3191.
We were blown away by so many beautiful portraits! Such a wonderful initiative. Jessie looks like she was a lovely dally girl.

Jessie is a beautiful looking dog. We eventually sorted the coordinates and the cache was not a problem to find, even though it was fairly busy.
This was an outstanding tribute to some of the pets in the area. We thought they were all dog that had passed away after reading about Jessie, but met one of the famous faces whilst admiring this artwork. We also noticed a couple of cats also on the wall.
It was interesting to talk to the human that the dog was walking and learn about the process of getting your best friend featured and also what the process was of getting the portrait where it is.
This cache brings you to something that we wouldn't have known about and because it is down an alleyway, probably wouldn't have ever seen if we were in the area.
Definite favourite from us. Thank you.

We found this cache today on our Archibald's and More Bayside Afternoon. What a lovely tribute wall. We had a couple of theories on how to count the columns but the most obvious choice was the correct one. Thanks from D & H B-A.
This was a very fitting cache today as Manfred the geo puppy was out caching with me today. He was a bit overwhelmed by the number of dogs! Thanks for placing the cache gmj3191.

I was justing slacking around watching Netflix and thought I better head out and do some sort of exercise so I headed out this way since I hadn't been here for a while. It was pretty cool for a summers day which kept a lot of people away from the beach areas so it wasn't too hard to park in most places.
I started doing this and just as I had gathered some numbers and had 2 locations to check I got a publish for a new cache 500m away so this project was temporarily aborted.
About 15 minutes later at a 2TF chatting with OSHFAM I managed to confirm which one of my calculations was correct and thanks to the hint the search was easy and the place was deserted.
I love that dog mural wall. While I was there a muggle walked by and stopped and said like she was talking to a small child - "Awwww, is your little guy up there on the wall". "No, I am just enjoying the art thanks" and she headed off and so did I, for a FTF.
Thanks gmj3191 for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun. A favourite from me.

*Found on the 29 Jan 2021*
*Cache find # 11356.*
When this one was first published I was a bit busy to go and have a look but a couple of hours later it still had not been found so I decided to go and have a look.
I found Jessie and then worked on the numbers then headed to GZ but the cache was found just minutes before I arrived so I decided to leave for another day and today is that day, I headed into GZ and was able to spot the cache quickly, the log was signed and I then headed for home.
**Thanks to gmj3191 for placing this cache.**

I'm trying to fill my "Finds for every day of the Year" empty boxes and noticed that todays box needed filling. It turns out my mate n0w0rries was also filling in his own non-trad challenge, and as this cache was the closest unfound to both of us, we decided to meet up and find it together. I took geo kid SowaMLE with me too.
Meeting at the listed co-ords, we took in the lovely view of all the doggies of Sandringham. Such a lovely picture of Jessie. With all the information gathered required to find GZ, we set off.
A nice walk through the streets and alleyways. Lots of street art. Surprised to find only a little bit of graffiti but none scrawled over the art luckily, just on random walls and fences.
GZ and cache was found easily. Nice container. We took a path tag of Jessie - thank you gmj3191.
On the walk back to the car, we stopped at the local gelato shop to enjoy some gelati on this very hot evening. We found a power pole which had some more art painted on it on the small round metal tag including a tiny little picture of a dog that looked like Jessie.
Thank you for bringing us to this location and for the cache gmj3191

As I checked my matrix for the "Non-Traditional Type" challenge, I noticed today needed a find.
With only a few unsolved puzzles and a couple of new AdLab bonus caches nearby this was pretty much my closest unfound cache that qualified.
I also needed to duck out for some fresh honey
A quick message was sent and the decision was made to wait until after dinner.
Driving down to the bay I then met up with OSHFAM at the posted coordinates.
They had already worked out GZ but waited patiently until I caught up, then we wandered off through narrow alleyways, past lots of murals and the odd spot of graffiti.
We even spotted what looked like a Christmas tree made of glass bottles at the rear of one shop.
At GZ the lovely cache was soon found and retrieved. Signed, stamped and returned.
Thanks for the multi gmj3191.
We also have a couple of caches dedicated to past pets.

Today we found Jessie's Matrix on our travels. We are out and about signing some local multi caches and a couple of puzzles that have been solved during COVID. I have been watching this wall take shape on Facebook between the Bayside Dog Owners Group and the Bayside Hub, a lovely reminder of just how important our companions are in our lives. I thought Jett was not a contender since we don’t quite live in Sandy.....but I didn’t realize Jessie featured. We had the privilege of meeting Jessie, she even alighted her throne to come say hello! I’m not sure what I did exactly with my counting and computation, I got us to the right spot but not quite the correct GZ. The Chief quickly sorted out my stuff up by noting the item mentioned in the hint and assessing which one was the most likely one. So while I was musing as to what I had done wrong he was signing the log....he eventually told me!
Thanks gmj3191 for being part of our geocaching fun.

{FTF} @ 8:25 pm
Waking up at the end of a splendid afternoon nap, I saw that the email for a new cache had been published more than an hour before - certainly enough time for it to already have been found. But to my surprise, the FTF on this multi only 5km from home was still up for grabs. So off we went with a quick stop at my grandparents' house to pick up my phone that I forgot there earlier in the day.
When we arrived at the initial coordinates, a terrific sign greeted us - no one else retrieving info from the mural. And still there was no activity on the online log. Awesome!
My first set of numbers produced a negative result in one of the coordinate calculations, but I realised I hadn't read the description carefully enough for the part about the mural stages. After inputting those coordinates, the satellite imagery showed that the cache was right on the shoreline; my mistake, of course, was a typo because I was in a such a rush to reach GZ. So, after fixing everything and inputting the correct coordinates, we headed off.
Once at GZ, the cache was found quickly (after walking around to the correct side of the bushes!). I was absolutely delighted by the empty logbook. I should say, as well, that this quaint park has such a lovely feel to it. The same goes for the mural, too, so thanks gmj3191 for bringing us to these two hidden gems.
I took 1 of the 4 pathtags and dropped off a trackable. Also, on the way out, I bumped into SteMicMitSar and we had a little chat. He decided to give the cache a miss until another time since I had already taken the FTF.
Being on school holidays is just so wonderful!
