First cache in a while but we stopped for fish and chips and spotted we were too close not to grab it. Nice easy find in a lovely spot. Thanks .
Visiting an area we have never been to before. A great spot for a cache. Thank you for bringing us here. Thank you GeoRick for placing this cache.Log signed as B&PFind number 5275
Over this way making the most of good weather before the rain comes tomorrow. Got to GZ and it was all quiet - caught a glimpse and put my hand on it without anyone noticing Nice spot to bring us TFTC
Had been working in Tauranga for the day. Had been a success and was able to leave earlier than anticipated. Might as well cache on the way home. Also a chance to get some caches that might not otherwise attempt.Lovely spot. Lake beautiful and saw someone skiing in the afternoon sun.TFTC
Up in Cambridge to support my brother as he was competing in the National Powerlifting 24. This was only 20m or so from the venue so was a quick walk to gz. Cache was soon spotted from afar and signed! I wrote in the log and placed the cache carefully back as found. TFTC. Thanks GeoRick for placing this Traditional cache! Beautiful day, and quiet enough that I could slip in and grab the cache unnoticed. Thanks!
Found today on a trip over this way. Got confused where the GZ was but once narrowed it we got the goods. One member of our team was sent to search the area but missed it until our more experienced member found it. Nice location and thanks for the history lesson. As it is currently the 2024 Paris Olympics and because of where we are - good luck to our rowers!
Nice quick find whilst visiting the area fit a couple of days. GZ was very calm and quiet. TFTC
JD found it. He likes to say, " see dear you have to stick with the experienced" , The sun has come out and the rain has stopped. It's time for afternoon tea . So far we have bikes 9.5km.
We also passed by here on our trip through New Zealand. Thanks for placing and maintaining it. Many greetings from Germany.
Spending a few days at Karapiro with my school on Year 9 camp. The students are having a bit of downtime after a busy afternoon of kayaking, so I thought I'd go for a wander and find this cache. It would be rude not to, given that I am camping less than 100m away. Interesting history. Tftc
Cute little container and logbook in perfect condition. Thanks for this piece of lokal history!
Enjoying a lovely morning watching the boats and kids playing, and a bite at the cafe. And a cache, of course TFTF!!
Quick find! TFTC No sign of TB though Here from Australia for the 23rd NZ Scout Jamboree. We were running the water activities from here the past 7 days! Had an absolute blast
Merci pour la Gocache. Trs beau site. Belle vue sans aucun doute.La cache est en ordre et bien au sec. J'y ai laiss un travel bug pour le plaisir de faire voyager ces petites btes
TFTC quick morning search whilst waiting for the Great Kiwi Summer expo to open
Found on a group E-bike ride while doing this leg of the Te Awa River Ride. Found with Opioffi, signed GO + OO to save space. Interesting info. TFTC.
We arrived at GZ and didn't spot anything immediately. Trusted the coordinates and with a little further investigation the cache was spotted.

Just as well we are staying at Lake Karapiro, as the area was so crowded earlier today, so we strolled back at dusk and easily found the cache.
It's been a wonderful 4 day stay and would definitely come back some day.
CACHE OWNER, PLEASE REPLACE THE LOG AS IT IS NOW FULL.
Many thanks

Day 9 of my Spring Holiday. Spending a couple of days in Cambridge. Very wet today but had to drop some scrap iron off so a couple of stops along the way and then a drive around Lake Karapiro. Nice quick find here although log book full there was a free spot on #28 TFTC
My 2nd here though Uist Blues claimed it first. Another medal shown off by Sophie.
Thanks for your amazing cache. I really appreciate the time you took to set up and maintain your caches.
Attending the Branded Country Music Festival at Karapiro this weekend and who could resist checking out the Geocaches nearby. Lots of Motorhomes and Caravans here and unless the sun keeps shining brightly today and tomorrow there will be a lot of tractor work ahead.
Cheers Cympull.

What a beautiful spot. We really enjoyed walking around the area and watching the many boats and jet skis out on the lake.
Thanks GeoRick for placing this cache here and for the very interesting and sobering history on the cache description. It's hard to imagine what it must have been like back then and what people went through.
Thanks for bringing us here.

Decided to go for a drive today and found myself at Karapiro, quickly located the cache and soaked up the views. Very jealous of anyone who has a water craft today, how I would love to be zooming on the lake.
Lots of people around area but rain kept them away from site.Great spot for a stop to see the view. TFTC
Sorry about the late log pick this one up with ABCDF4 on our way back home from Taupo
Interesting story here, always good to learn about our area. We had attempted this recently but had to abandon it due to muggles presence, but a quick snaffle today to complete our peak souvenir. TFTC!
At the Sir Don Rowlands Centre for a weekend workshop and finally had a chance to grab this one. Love the way this is hidden and the knowledge shared in the description - made the area come alive and interesting to understand how Karapiro got its name. TFTC
Had this on my list to find since watching your YouTube video. Nice place to visit. Thankyou
On the way to Hamilton took a slight detour. Checked the hint and made a quick find. TFTC.
We were showing some friends from down South the venue for our daughter's wedding a few years ago, and woohoo there's a cache here now! Great spot, TFTC
In his youth, als used to bike out from Leamington for a swim in the lake and then bike back home. At that time the rocks were still in the lake, so he would swim out to the first one, stop for a sun bathe, swim to the next one and some more sunbathing and then back to shore. TFTC for the memory..
Thanks for bringing me back to the lake.
Happy memories here.
Standing on the shoreline, yelling and screaming for West Lake Boys at the north islands and Maadi cup.

Pleasant morning by the lake. Think the co-ordinates are about 10 metres out but only really one place it could be. Now time for a quick coffee. Thanks for bringing us here,
Tftc. @ karapiro dfor the NZ sprint kayak nationals... Quick distraction from the paddling.
Not too busy here today with only a couple of boats out. Nice quick find in a nice spot. TFTC

We have been meaning to get this one for awhile now so made a point of going slightly off route on the way to a family get-together to grab this cache. Co-ords slightly out for us but found in the end. TFTC

With Gap (of Fap and Gap) and brother... We have a date with a tree cache and a 6000th party to attend this evening. Something different than your usual Sunday.
This place is usually jam-packed during rowing season, but we had relative freedom down here today. The iPhone gps swung all over the place, and we found ourselves widening the search zone. We thought this hide was slightly out for us, but we managed to find the cache nevertheless. Thanks GeoRick and TFTC.

I'm in Hamilton to drop my child off at Boys High for a Karate Competition and then blissfully geocache the day away. This cache was found quickly and in good condition thanks to accurate coords and a straight forward placement. Cheers GeoRick & TFTC

Had a lovely lunch nearby then went hunting. Like others- our GPS had us in all directions for some reason, but eventually we settled on a likely spot and bingo. Glad we didn't leave it for another day this week- Maadi cup is about to start. There were quite a few people here setting up, but nothing compared to the next few days. tftc
Enjoyed the meal at the nearby cafe overlooking the lake then made the find. Thanks for placing.
Lunch nearby was a good start, then off to make the find. Took us a wee while to get the GPS happy, and then yahoo. Luckily the muggles about were all very intent on their preparations for the imminent rowing regatta. TFTC
Took us a while because the gps was a bit off but found it eventually. A very windy day at the lake.
An afternoon out with Boges. GPS was taking me round in circles but Boges wandered off and found the cache. Thank you for the placement.
After my last look I took a wider view. Eventually located roughly 20 mtrs away. Cunning hide. TFTC anf FTF pin [FTF] Co ords to follow
