Out for a scenic little road trip with the geo kid and geo pup. With the geo kid prepped with her geo bag filled with swappables we were good to go! Having so much fun. Found this one today log signed as CS43 to save room with SCAHPA - TFTC.
Accio 11:10:31A lovely morning of impromptu caching with T4mmmy and our dog Suki - having been up the mountain for a different reason, came back down this way. A quick find and a lovely 'glimpse' achieved this perfect winter's day. Thanks CacheQLD for entertaining me at this location. *{Overall find #12590}*
We stopped to get our smile and checked out the view. Signed clean log and returned cache to its hide. Tftc
Another spot we missed during the mega but returned today to have a look around. A few options for GZ but made the find eventually. TFTC
Quick find. Not sure about this road going forward, there has been heaps of rain lately and were not in the 4wd today. In the parking area is a mud pit pigs pen. TFTC, found with muggle mum. #3 for today and #1339 in total.
Found with Gorjess516. She is directing me where to drive to each cache and this was a very interesting "road". Another car stopped to ask if we needed help when we were pulled over to park! TFTC
My geodog Scruffy wanted to look for some caches, so I thought "why not?"
So we headed out & found a few in the Dayboro area.

So I needed a Letter box cache to push my Project GC Badge Gen tally to the next level. Looked at the map and located the closest Letter box to home, and focused on that area today.
Cache 2 for the day.
Drove on past primary target and now just collecting as many extra caches before I have to go start work for the day.
Okay, the log book now has my geo-dad's stamp in it and squiggles from LizzySparkle and me.
Thanks for placing this cache in an area I had not been to before.
Thanks to CO for the cache.

CacheQLD I found your cache Glasshouse Glimpses on 20/9/2022, 9:55 am. This is my find 4241 and find # 1 today. A quick and easy drive by. Fantastic views. Thanks for the cache, mate! TNSLLN
We are on a 2 month trip from Portland via the Mundi Mundi Bash to a wedding in Brisbane and then out west for QOGM in Charleville.
We have now arrived in Dayboro to find all those puzzles we solved in anticipation of the mega. Sadly we were then going to WA and we knew the borders would be closed to us if we came to Qld.
We started to tackle some of the geosaurus and found them pretty tough going - we might need an extra day or 2 to actually find them all.
Thanks for contributing to the fun CacheQLD

Staying in Dayboro for a while. Theres definitely no being bored with so many caches in the area.. A beautiful winters day here but we were tied up with work inside till late morning. The day didnt start well with 6 DNF straight up then a further 6 DNF through the day. A total of 34/46 today. The vegetation has grown so high, with it being taller than Mr Felix in some spots and he is 6FT A tough day out but one with some beautiful views.

Relogging found caches under the name Bonkersandshush to my other accountGAZKERSH.Thanks.Nice quick find while caching in the area Thanks for the cache
Riding in coaches, bouncing and rattling over the cobbled streets of Ankh Morpork is my second most hated mode of transport. Riding, slung over the rear end of a camel through the burning deserts of Klatch is my first.
The grass is very long but we made a quick find. I was surprised to see a woman walking in the paddock with a horse. Thanks for the cache
Nice easy find on our way back from a drive over the mountain today
We know this side road well as we have a cache of our own further down and often use it as a short cut to the east

What a lovely cache in a lovely area. The views really are spectacular! I spent Christmas morning driving from Mt Mee to Moorina down Mountain view road and Moorina road, and didn't regret a minute of my decision. Just perfect.
Merry Christmas CacheQLD and thanks for another great cache.

Saturday. Such a lovely area. Wouldn’t mind living here myself . Out today for a nice drive and a bit of caching (something we haven’t done a lot of lately). Signed the log and replaced as found.
This was the 4th of 6 caches found on this outing.

What fabulous views from all along this road. A council car drove past just after I stopped. Looked like a tourist and took a photo then once they had driven past I made a quick find here.
Lovely to have another reason to explore here! Parked up top and wandered down. Beautiful views, thank you!
Decided to grab some caches along this road before heading to my block. Got 4. All is good with this one. Tftc
Heading home from Brisbane and just had to stop and grab a few more caches along the way. I parked nearby and enjoyed the glimpses of the mountains and once at GZ the cache was soon in hand.

Just out for a couple we missed visiting over Mega. A few wet patches getting to GZ. Soon found and had cache in hand. Signed the log and returned to where I found it. Thanks CacheQld. All good with this cache. And the view is beautiful.
Sharpem and I decided to pick up a few smileys . We enjoyed the drive around here and at gz it was not long before we spotted this cache. Loved the views around here. We had to back up at one stage to let a car through and kept our eyes out for the dip signs. No worries with our AWD. Took a photo of the glass house glimpses. Thankyou for taking me here and for placing this cache here for us to enjoy
Found with Quesera down a one way dirt road very interesting drive thank you for placing this cache here.
Today we went out to Dayboro to clean up some left overs from the Mega at Easter.
Whilst working on the PVC-Multi, we made this detour. Came across a group of riders which made a nice interesting addition to the spectacular view.

Eskies5, Caro and I were tripping around the area collecting a few caches that were yet to be found. Had a great day without a DNF. This find was made quickly. Names signed into the log book and all returned. TFTC CacheQLD
Off on an overnight geocaching adventure with Caro and Kestal to pick up a few of the many caches still unfound by us around Dayboro. TFTC CacheQLD
With a detour through Dayboro/Caboolture on way to Caloundra I collected a few caches missed while at Mega. Thanks.
A wonderful view of the glasshouse mountains from around the cache location. I wouldn’t have thought they would have been seen from here. So thank you for placing the cache here. We really did enjoy the views.
Cache was found in good condition and we gladly signed the log.
Cheers and happy caching!

We made the decision to spend another week at the Dayboro showgrounds to give ourselves the opportunity to find more of the many caches that have been placed in the area. Finally the rain has nearly become non existent and bar for one short heavy burst it has been a rain free day. The area is still showing signs of all the rain we have had recently with the creek flowing fast and in places the roads are covered. We found all of the caches that we attempted today but one. SL TFTC
TFTC. We had spent a lot of time in the previous period of time solving puzzles in preparation for out time at the Dayboro Mega. We spent the day with good friends muff1 collecting solved puzzles and other caches as we passed by. A great day doing some free fishing and cache finding. 46 in total for the day. I think we managed to finalise the Geosaurus series in the process

Today with Day 3 of the Dayboro Mega event (final Easter weekend day), I returned back to Dayboro to attempt a solo yet full day of finding the various solved *Geosaurus* and *We* ?? *Geo* geoart, as well as any other interesting cache types. Time was spent south around Samsonvale, north-east around Mount Pleasant, and east around Rush Creek. The rain continued to fall, but it came in patches that still allowed some pleasant geocaching, yet somehow the rain knew when I was farthest from the car, for which it then fell heavily. I met a few more Geocachers during the day, and as I finally lost light, it was time for the final closing ceremony of the Mega, and an opportunity to get dry from the day's activities.
During my travels around the vicinity, I made a stop here, and the cache was a reasonably quick find. A nice walk, and some breathtaking views, if only they weren't skewed by the grey clouds/rain scattered around the place. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks CacheQLD committee aka. Ardom, EatSleepCacheRepeat, Gcoven, JACS Team, Orange Crew, SEMIK, and Simber15 for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

Dayboro trip. Day 9. The first full day of the Mega proper dawned and with it the formal opening was observed early in the morning. We then broke into team to spend th3e day caching, targeting the several geo-art series in the vicinity of Dayboro. I was joined by Fitzy_1965, MinnieK, Nibblericecakes and Gliss. There were showers on and off all day, but the caching went well, with only a few small breaks when it was too wet. It was great to see all the caches in place and despite some of them being fun and tricky, the pre-mega puzzle solving effort was well rewarded.
The day ended with a run down Mountain view track in the late evening gloom, a ladder cache thrown in as well made for a fun way to end the day.
Thanks.

24,160. Found with minniek on our Dayboro QLD MEGA Adventure trip. For today we also cached with albida33, Nibletricecakes and GLISS! to form and sign as MiNiFiGAS!
With the sudden COVID outbreak in Queensland putting the Mega in doubt we decided to head up to the New South Wales / Queensland border hoping that it would still go ahead, and with the announcement that things were mostly returning to normal we decided Plan A still looked good. Day 4. An early start today with an aim of caching our way through some of the Geo-Art around Dayboro (all being pre solved) plus various bonus caches along the way This was the next stop for the day. We parked nearby this one for a quick find at GZ. Signed the log as MiNiFiGAS!, replaced the cache as found, then headed off to the next one.
Thanks CacheQLD and all the other Cache owners !! Please forgive the generic logs.

Dayboro QLD Mega - Day Five:
The fifth day of our mega road trip with buhfuhguh!
Today was MEGA day! We decided to use this day around Dayboro itself, visiting the mega site, doing Lab Caches, completing the Horse geoart, letterbox series, and a bunch of other caches around the town including a few T5's in the Kayak, and managing to lose my engine splash shield by going down a bumpy dirt road.... all worth it though for the incredible day we had! Many thanks to Cache QLD for organising today, and all the CO's involved

Near this cache is where one of the the drainage dips took the whole underside of my engine guard out. Sad days A cache find though.... Thanks!

Easter trip away with fitzy_1965 for the cacheQLD Dayboro Mega.
After the Mega Opening Ceremony, we teamed up with nibletricecakes, GLISS! & Albida33, signing logs as MiNiFiGA's. Today was the day to put our puzzle solving hard work to the test. We did not let the persistent rain dampen our spirits, tackling the Horse, Pacman & part of the We <3 Geo Geo-art trails and any others in-between. Then ended the day with a Round 5 win in the Trivia Night.
All caches were found in good condition unless otherwise stated.

Offered a spare seat on a roadtrip with The Rats and Wilbert67 to the Dayboro Mega, jumped at the chance to accept, and together with Steeba (who flew up), we joined forces to become “the Gong Gang” over the Easter weekend. Aside from the rain and threats of last minute border restrictions, it turned into 2500km of fun, finds and adventures. Thanks to the Gang for the invite, company and shared solves/searches and all the COs for the smiley opportunities. Apologies for the generic log (unless further comments required) but we got through a LOT!! ??
Great!!! Signed today as MINIFIGA! as I teamed up with GLISS! Minniek, Fitzy_1965 and Albida33 to tackle some counties, trails, oldies and interesting caches. Great to be finally in Queensland with our eyes on the Mega Prize. It was a wet day today but we still managed to grab a lot of caches as we navigated the rain and puddles.
This is the first Mega we have had in Australia in over a year. We have navigated lockdowns, mouse plagues, floods and the dreaded Covid to get here. So wonderful to be able to be out caching in Queensland. Such a privilege. Thanks for the cache.

Mrs Herbz hopped out in the rain to grab this one while Mr Herbz kept the motor running for a quick getaway in case another vehicle came along... Sure enough it did. After a quick reverse and return Mrs Herbz was retrieved after the log signed. Sadly no Glasshouse glimpses for us today, or any other glimpses for that matter. TFTC.

The on again off again trip was finally on again with Gladys saying Yes. A fair bit of solving and planning had gone into our first day with PPE and the Bug before being joined by Crash and Tardis the next day. The rain only slowed us down on a few things as we made our way around. We completed the signing duties and re hid. TFTC
Start of my generic logs I guess.
Well, I didnt think it was all going to come together but it did.
The guys from Sydney cancelled then came again.
Out with PPE and B at W and sometimes the MEGATRONS CBBPT.
The MEGATRONS started back at Casey Fields in 2015, Got rebooted in 2017 at Lake Eildon and its been a few years since more than two members have been at the same mega and caching together...so the MEGATRONS live on in 2021...even after covid.
Lovely job of the Horses Head....

After converging on Dayboro for the Mega Event, The Rats, Wilbert67, mizmaz and steeba combined together to form the 'Gong Gang'.
