*26 Oct 2024, Found @6:25PM, Find # 3977.*A nice day to take the bike out on this trail. Nice quick find as per the hint. Tucked away from view of muggles. **Thanks to crank1 for placing this cache.**
Thanks Crank1 for such a beautiful series ! I grew up in this local area and as a child we walked this creek multiple times (most of the times on roller skates or bikes). Now as an adult, I get to reminisce as well as build up our caches. Thanks for the walk down memory lane. 14,039 steps later and the series is done! Thanks again for placing these caches and find #482!
Easy find cheers. We are out doing this trail and hope to complete it today. Thanks. First one and the pens already gone. We have a texter it will do. W8CA
Perfect weather for a day cache adventuring with doddlingalong. Today, meandering around the parks of Narre Warren. TFTC.
Out on a gorgeous day with carmlee1, quick find cos it was in full view so will replace it so it is a bit less obvious
Today, I headed out on a geocaching adventure with crustyvarmint. and decided to take advantage of the beautiful weather by riding our ebikes. The trails were in excellent condition, making for a smooth and enjoyable journey.we found most of the caches relatively quickly, However, a few caches proved to be more challenging, hiding just out of view. When we finally uncovered them, we couldn't help but laugh at how obvious they seemed once found. It was like they had been playing a game of hide and seek with us!The ride along the River Gum Creek was truly pleasant, and Im grateful to Crank1 for creating this series. Without it, I might never have discovered these scenic trails and the joy of exploring them on an ebike. It was a memorable day, filled with discovery, fresh air, and good company.
Today I went out caching with Juzzmagic. We were targeting the River Gum Creek series and, with the excellent weather, we rode our ebikes, and had a successful day. Most were found quite quickly, but some took longer. Once discovered, however, it was hard to understand why they had eluded us.Thanks for your work in this area, Crank1. Without this series I wouldnt have experienced the pleasant ride along these trails.
Thanks for the series! Lots of great finds on the way. Ill be back for my one DNF
An easy find with icw. This is the last in the series for us, but we will return to find two that eluded us this week. Tftc.
Another one second job. Congratulations on the series and allowing members to do such, a great way to introduce people to caching when most series are premium only of which I and are. TFTC
Today I had to run some errands down this way and after checking my geocaching map I noticed 5 blue faces (did not finds) from a previous jaunt during September last year. These all looked like they were back in play so I made it my mission to turn them into happy yellow faces. Last time I was on my bike but today I only had my car. I was under a bit of time pressure to get back to pick up my daughter from Waverley so I made the most of driving to the closest point to make the find. I usually prefer to get out and walk the trail and use caching as my exercise for the day but sometimes it doesnt work out that way. So happy to make the find today. The container was in plain view so I moved it so it is not so obvious to passers by. Thank you crank1 for placing and maintaining River Gum Creek #35 for us to find today.
Found it , last one on this side of the trail, I will be back to do the other side. Tftc
Nice quick find for tonight. Working towards filling my year with green squares. Im a long way off but gotta start somewhere.
Having found #1 to #8 almost two years ago on a bus driving job, today I was back in the area to drop my son to a friend's wedding close by. This time the bike made transit between GZs quicker. An update of the app I use has wiped all my specific cache notes made at the time unfortunately. All finds were in good condition, although a number of logs hadn't been rolled properly so were somewhat scrunched into the containers. I rerolled them all as best I could. The last find for today before pedalling back to the car to pick up my son. A clever placement, easy to see when you're looking, but not visible to the casual muggle. TFTC crank1
Found with Bogonghazy. Day out caching in the area. Thanks crank1 for placing the cache
Found with LittleBoss2 on our week in Rye. Yesterday's caches were so good, we thought we'd head back up the highway for another long walk. All these caches were in good order with great coords. What an amazing series of caches in a beautiful area. Our sincere thanks to Crank 1 for all the time and effort in placing and maintaining themLucky last, fave added

It's been a few weeks since I've had time for an after-work walk, but with a certain new challenge published, I decided the 25th of July would be a good day to get finding!
I managed eight caches this afternoon. All were quick finds along this lovely walking path. Such a relaxing way to end my day. I cached right up until sunset.

ManfredWolfgang ahomburg and myself decided to combine ManfredWolfganfs walk and some caching. Despite Uncle and Aunty Knight_Shift dumping us series companions, we pushed through the mental pain, and managed to find the caches in a good frame of mind. It was a wonderfully sunny day, which is normally good, but I didn’t pack a hat. ManfredWolfgang had his supplies, so at least the important things were packed. Whilst he had water, uncle ahomburg and myself dehydrated .
Thanks for the caches crank1, they created a nice walk for ManfredWolfgang.

Woof woof woof (translated - Uncle a Homburg tried to make me walk on wet grass. Has he met me?)
I usually don't do *power trails* for the sake of building the number of s... but a late decision to see if I can find 1,000 caches in a year... and a late decision to try for the third April souvenir... and a definite need to walk off the excesses of too much Easter and Birthday eating. After two separate caching legs which took care of caches #1 to #27 in this series, I was now ready for the third leg of my day.
Now on the home straight as it were, I continued to find caches in numerical order... and hooray, I have come to the last cache... except that it isn't as I had accidently skipped the one closest to my car. As with most caches today, this was a reasonably easy find. At this point I will acknowledge that my Logs will get a bit repetitive... but that has got to be expected for a *power trail*.
Thanks **crank1** for the cache and the series.

The last of the River Gum Creek trail!! What a fun trail this has been. Thanks so much crank1 for placing all of these caches and taking us to this great location. We really enjoyed it and what a nice one to finish with!! TFTC
Grabbed the deadly treadlies, and with Chewinprickles and a couple of granddaughters, we rode the River Gum Creek.
Some really nice wooden sculptures around the trail.
A nice flat trail, and a lovely ride with very few muggles spotted.
Thanks for this series, Robmc.

An enjoyable ride on a coolish day. In fact it rained before we finished the series.
Thanks crank1

It's about time to head off for lunch and fortunately the search was short. Thanks to crank1 for the cache.
Out exploring the River Gum Creek trail this week. Great to find the long grass cut making it easier to access. Thanks Crank1 for placing these caches along River Gum Creek.
Back in the area today, this time with Bernspagette.. aiming to complete the River Gum Creek Series. A short walk to GZ thank goodness because I left the pen in the car. Thanks crank1 for placing the cache and creating the series.
Found it! Yay! The last one! Muggle Wen went ahead and found it. She also found a fabulous dragonfly acting as cache guardian! Thanks for all the caches. A great effort in all the placements and ongoing maintenance. This walk may be good for the Walkabouters. TFTC SL
Last cache of the day for us, and an instant find for miss 12. We've walked a hell of a lot today and everyone had a great time on this series. We'll be back to finish the rest for sure. Thanks so much to the cache owner for making this series!!
I started the other end of this trail ages ago, and today I'm trying to get the rest of them. I've been looking for groups of caches (long or short) to discover new walking areas. This one starts (ends?) quite close to my son's orthodontist.
The area was very wet when I walked about, so it was hard to tell how good the walk would be, but I couldn't help but think the council could do a much better job.

Last find for the day
5 hours walking to complete track and caches - in drier weather an hour would have been shaved off easily.
28 finds a few DNF a few I didn't attempt and I think 2 have been archived.
Mission completed. Thanks again Crank1 for all your efforts with this series the Auslan series and those Ive yet to try.

At the end of this trail, but near only the start of it for our families adventures, we set off on crossing of a few of these chases off on this chilly afternoon, this one was a quick and easy locate but defiantly not at the described height.

U turn here and back off home, weather closing in wish I brought some wheels..Couple hrs to spare before heading to airport thought I would come back and finish off this series.. found with Cached Up Mummy Jules and our geokids..
Nice winters day even if it is icy cold. We thought we would get the blood pumping to try warm up a lottle by getting out for a ride and grab a few caches. This one was a nice easy find. TFTC
Found myself with a few spare hours after work so I thought I would tackle this series. Had a great time, thanks for all the fun!
