Log replaced

11-Oct-24
Off geocaching with my GeoGrandie II in the holidays. What a clever hiding spot. We didnt see the Weta or a Troll. The Plastic bag has holes eaten through by bugs maybe or just disintegrated. The Log was very wet and also disintegrating. Sorry had no spares on me to remedy. Maybe next person can help. TFTC

Another day, another micro, another micro, another micro dot-day.Popped out to here as it was as good as any. After having a good look at one end (where there was evidence of others doing the same), I went to the other end and spotted what I was looking for right away. The outer bag has had some experience with the resident. The log sheet inside was very wet so only managed to scratch my details there. Replaced as found.Thank you to GN100 for the placement of your Traditional Cache.

Excellent little spot! Hope other cachers dont mind weta

02-May-24
Went for a wee wander this morning, and found this cache no problem. Neat wee hide that was also doubling as a weta hotel - gets a favourite point for that. Made sure to replace the cache gently so as not to disturb the little beauty! Thanks GN100

Nice hide.
Although water accumulated inside the outer bag. Tipped it out. Amazingly, the log is nice and dry.
Cheers

TFTC. Nice idea. Thanks for bringing us here

22-Oct-22
We've done a few caches in this reserve and have two ourselves at the far end. But almost every time we come here for a walk it's been raining prior and the place is a slush pit. Luckily today was dry and we haven't had too much rain, so only one small river to hop across and two muddy patches. The rest was dry.. Did with Ezratar and Mycro Man. Clever hide whilst trying to dodge the troll. Thanks for the cache and walk.

09-Oct-22
The troll nearly ate Bilbo today but thankfully the sun dawned and I found it.

Tricky for a newbie like me. This was my second attempt. Really cool hide.

06-Oct-22
Well-wrapped, well-hidden, snug little hide, in good order. TFTC Smile

22-Sep-22
Tricky but easy find while geohound cooled off in the stream. Tftc!

20-Sep-22
This old goat trip-trapped over the bridge and sniffed out the nicely constructed hide. TFTC GN100!

Great clever hide. Log book wet.

04-Jun-22
Found it, great sneaky hide, well made but the log was still pretty damp.

27-May-22
Didn’t know there was a walkway here - thanks for introducing us to it. was onto this one pretty quickly. Log was pretty wet but still signable. TFTC. KTG

27-May-22
#220 out with KTG. Nice and easy find here. Log was soaking wet and the ziplock bag has a big hole in it. Cache wasn't closed properly. So have done that after signing the log. TFTC

21-May-22
Very clever hiding place. The log is quite damp and probably needs replacement soon. Placed back where we found it.

27-Feb-22
Last day in the north island for a while so looking for some nice walks as I wind down. A bit damp but ok. Bag has been nibbled somehow.

17-Feb-22
Completely surprised by a giant Weta eating the bag!!!! How...who knows. Log still dry but bag quite wet. Weta wasn't very happy and didn't want cache back in his lovely home. Alas they cohabit again.

22-Jan-22
Clever hide - thanks

18-Dec-21
Went straight to this one, the quickest find of the day. A little damp but nothing too bad. TFTC

06-Oct-21
As I was in the area tonight I thought Id stop in here and look for trolls, and sure enough, I found one. Great wee hide, TFTC.

18-Sep-21
Went exploring while the youngest was at Gym and found this one quickly.

12-Sep-21
After completing all of the others on this track I focused in on this one as my last. Some nice thought has been put into this one. So the log book has been signed and the cache is nicely back in its spot all ready for the next geo-hunter. Thanks heaps for taking the time to set up this geocache. I really appreciate your efforts in doing so. TFTC

04-Aug-21
A quick find of the nicely hidden cache - it's always fun to find types like this. A peaceful reserve to walk in too. TFTC

24-Jul-21
Nice hide. Thanks for placing the cache

22-Jul-21
After a DNF at the other end of the reserve, I was beginning to doubt my abilities.... fortunately I was reassured with a much appreciated quick find here. No 9967 for me. The others in the reserve will have to wait for a) more time and b) drier weather! TFTC!

10-Jul-21
Nice quick find on a winter's walk today. Nice and dry in its hiding place. FP from us for a creative cache.

09-Jul-21
Well done here A simple but very effective hide
Thanks GN100

04-Jul-21
I was heading down to Wellington today to attend an event and decided to use the trip to try to grab a few caches along the way, including this one.

I used to live in this suburb briefly some 20+ years ago, and have walked through this area back then so it was nice to see it all again after so long.
Arriving at GZ I had the place to myself, but only needed a moment or two to spot the cache. A quick retrieve from the nicely constructed hide and I was able to sign the log and replace it all back exactly as found.

Thank you for the cache.

10-Jun-21
Found with Lauper 92 out on a cache hunt today, thanks for bringing us to a new walk way

10-Jun-21
Very cool

24-May-21
Found on a Sunday afternoon walk in the Reserve with Mrs agcnz. No problems here, found the nicely constructed container in just a few minutes. Signed log, TFTC!

23-May-21
Under the bridge was a really cool pull out drawer.

20-May-21
This is not a place I frequent all that often. The access has been vastly improved from what I can remember it being like the last time I was here. Upon arriving at GZ, I made an assumption as to the likely hiding place that for once turned out to be correct. TFTC

16-May-21
That’s a super cool cache! Thanks for the mahi on this one

16-May-21
I saw on approach the likely thing that would be hosting this cache and on arrival I had a think about the types of hide that might be suitable here. One place in particular looked good for a traditional hide but there was something unusual there instead. Had a bit of LOL moment here because it's just the kind of hide I might have used (and indeed have variants of). I don't think I even looked at my GPS the entire time since the approach from about 40m so that's 2:nil for cache sense today. I know it can take a little bit of work to make things like this so thanks for putting in the extra effort and putting it in a decent place. TFTC.

15-May-21
This was a nice find this morning. At first I wasn't sure quite how to access the container and I was nervous of breaking something if I was too forceful. However a bit of gentle pressure soon revealed the mechanism. Nicely done.
Thanks very much for the cache.

11-May-21
The weather wasn't at all friendly this evening so I decided to change my plans and go for this cache instead of one that required a longer walk. As it turned out, the rain temporarily eased and I was able to get to and from this site without getting very wet at all. I was confident about how the cache would be hidden but the extra twist was a pleasing surprise. I have awarded a favourite point on account of the extra effort that has been put in to make this something more than a run of the mill hide.

09-May-21
Found on second visit, with Flossie110. Ingenious hide. TFTC

08-May-21
Trinity nz found it with me

08-May-21
Favourite find

08-May-21
Final find for the day. It's too new to be in my GPSr but my phone gave me a reasonable idea of where it was. I was searching under the bridge using the light of my phone (it was after 5pm so it was getting dark), no luck, then suddenly I realised what I was looking at right in front of my nose. And it's great to see other signatures from the same day - I have seen that much in caches recently!

08-May-21
Showing junior 2kiwi geocaching today. Junior 2kiwi had trouble spotting, but more experienced mum had no trouble.
Billy Goats Gruff was then acted out, with Billy goat (mum) being eaten by the troll .
TFTC

04-May-21
A quick find here as I have seen this type of hide a few times before.

I can understand how the new cachers wouldn't be familiar with this method but I suspect that a further hint would give too much away.

TFTC.

02-May-21
Not able to find, will wait for some more activity logs and will come back another day.

02-May-21
Sadly not obvious. More clues would be good

#9503. FWF. I needed a few more first week finds for a challenge series I am doing. I noticed this one at 11pm on the day it was published and while almost a park and grab decided sleep was more important than a FDF. But today I was working from home and decided to head out this afternoon before the traffic picked up on SH1. Parked where I parked several weeks back for some other new caches on this track but this time it was a short walk. Spotted the likely hiding object in the first place checked and its a very nicely crafted cache. Well done. Signed the logbook and replaced everything as found. Thanks GN100 for hiding your cache here.

30-Apr-21
Needed one more cache to “round off” the month. This was one of the closest unfound ones to my home, so headed here early afternoon with the geohound. I took a couple of minutes to locate it, when in fact I should have spotted it straightaway! Well put together. #3915. TFTC.

Grandpa troll says Hi, nice hide. Thanks

(# 6639). A fast trip to Tawa to grab a couple of new caches. A quick find in a nicely crafted hide. Everything in order. Thanks for bringing me here.

26-Apr-21
{FTF} @ 22:40. I'd not long arrived home after an all day walk from the Wainui Hill to Naenae, cleaning out a bunch of caches along the Eastern Hutt hills, when this was published. I had to go out again after dinner, so thought I'd leave this for whoever was keen. got home later and saw this and the other new nearby cache were still unfound so grabbed a torch and went for a wander.

.Nice to come back to this familiar spot again. I recall getting an FTF back in 2010 almost right at this location on GC26AXH. This was a bog at that time and the bridge wasn't here, but the pipeline was the main feature.
It took a moment to home in on the cache, although it was exactly where I went to look first.

TFTC +FP
