Staying in Swan Reach for a couple of days so I took my L learner son for a drive. In exchange for the lesson, he was to join me for a couple of nearby geocaches. Fair deal I thought. It was 39 degrees and the wind was blowing a gale but we made short work of this one step multi so we could get back into the air conditioned car. All good here. Thanks for the cache mogni.# # SmileSmile #13951 SmileSmile # #

The puzzle bit was easy. The grab was not! There was a large hornet giving us stink eye. My truffle hound made one last foray into the danger zone and luckily the cache was found. TFTC

Find # 10103Day 3 caching friends to complete our epic On Your Bike series adventure. Picking up some counties, oldies, and other specials along the route to add to my tally and to stretch the legs. This was a quick and easy find and here as PUZZLD! at Waggon or Wagon today with Ronice88, kbucky, De Ja Vu, Bounty Trackers, Search4, and weirdobiker. Thanks so much for the many caches mogni and of course for giving me a reason and incentive to get out here, and to experience this part of the world in a different light

Thanks for placing and maintaining the series.

Thanks for the cache

Needing a Multi today before resuming our assault on the On Your Bike series, this was the closest one to where we were staying in Nildottie.
A most interesting bit of history, a sensible Multi, and one with a checksum - my favourite kind.
Fortunately one member of our team was fit enough to retrieve this cache, found in the good company of LaidlayM&M and icybeetas.

11-Jun-23
Team effort to solve and get GZ. Quick walk to the likely spot. Searching high and low got the find. Thanks for the fun. Beautiful gardens here.

11-Jun-23
In the area after the On Your Bike Trail with Cybergran V and LaidlayMandM and staying in Nildottie we took time out to look for this cache. The information was gathered and coordinates worked out it was time to make the search. A joint effort in the search soon had the cache in hand. Thank you for the information regarding the spellings of the two words.

Very nice little area. Love the multi. Very tricky placement as well but not too many peeps out and about this morning which gave me uninterrupted time to search. TFTC mogni.

Yay. Found it. Many thanks for the smiley!

Owl and Eagle had run away from the renovations to use their state government-awarded accommodation voucher and to see the parts of the river they missed on their last ill-fated boat trip. This was a welcome stop to find a cache Owl was unable to attempt, even though it was 'just over there', as they were in covid isolation on the last pass. A bit of history later and the cache was signed and returned germ-free.

28-Mar-22
Gotta love a bit of local history..
Calcs done easy enough, with a quick find in the obvious spot at GZ... although there are many places it could be!

The usual Wednesday Wander for members of Befuddled Puzzle solving group had us heading once again towards Swan Reach in search of the last 50 or so new additions to the ever growing On Your Bike Series. Today it was myself, Blackadders, SA Sewer Rats and Astro. [:o)] Lots of hours doing jigsaws in preparation for today and we found all of the new additions to this series including perhaps a strange First to Find which had a blank log book but had previously been claimed. Smile What can I say - we took turns climbing ladders and trees so everyone joined in the fun. Cool

GENERIC LOGS unless something unusual : here! Wink A very interesting place. Some calc's and a quick find. Smile

Only one of the three goals from last year achieved. Twisted So once again I will trying to get the other two this year. [^] Should be easy as I only have to get two multi caches in July from the lockdown and couldn't get out. [:o)] The other was DNF's that came down from over 50 to the low teens before blowing out again but I really want to see only single a single digit this year. Cool

***Thanks mogni for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. *** Big Grin

** GENERIC LOG**

Hopefully the final wander of the befuddled to attack the monstrous On You Bike Series. A triumphant day for us finally finishing all of the offering. The usual Rat, Adder and Starfish were once again joined by sir Astro to collect not only the last of the series but a few stragglers to break up the monotony.

The last of the stragglers before heading off to the OYB series. A great history lesson at GZ and to die so young. what a life he led.

Each and every cache was visited and stamped by every member of the group. There was no group stamp used neither was there any bunny hopping involved. Each member took turns at scaling the ladder where needed to access the hide however there were very few of these challenges in today's venture. It is how we play though.

All caches were found in good condition with only a few that needed more searching to find.

Thank you for the cache mogni, found 23/03/2022, 11:32:57 AM

Woo hoo it's Wednesday wander time.
Three Geo animals and a Starman met at Sedan.

Our plan for today was to finish the OYB series.
We decided to do a few other caches before we started.

What an interesting spot.
A lot of history here.

cache quickly located, logbook stamped. Tftc

Another early start with the moon guiding us out from Keith, as we made our way to Blanchetown. We made a few of those, stretch revive & survive stops - naturally each one being close to a cache!

Thanks mogni for placing caches that suit travellers on the gameboard.

TFTC. We needed a change from the Powertrail that was On YourBike. We parted company with the other 4 teams and continued along the Murray River with muff1. We were astounded by rage scenery on the Murray. We used caching as our travel guide through Nilkdottie and Walkers Flat before heading back to camp in Sedan.

We needed a change from the On Your Bike series so Hans and Linda and ourselves headed off to do a little sight seeing using caching as our guide. We enjoyed this drive around the area. SL TFTC

The event at Swan Reach this evening was a good excuse to head out for the weekend to camp and find a few geocaches.

I took a very convoluted, meandering route as I targeted some well-dispersed caches of interest. They included a mixture of multis, letterboxes, puzzles, a wherigo and the odd Traditional. Some were drive-bys while others required a short walk.

I stopped briefly to collect the required information, then it was just a short wander to GZ for a quick find.

Thanks mogni for the cache.

Where am I goin'?
I don't know
When will I be there?
I ain't certain
What will I get?
I ain't equipped to say
But who gives a damn?

We're on our way
Where am I goin'?

Where am I headin'?

All that I know

I will apologize right now, because everything from here on is here solely for the purpose of padding the word count.

The cache was found in the last place we looked, which as usual was not the first place we looked. Thanks for placing a fun cache guys. We do love your work. We signed the logbook. Of course we did that is way we play this game. Cache in pretty good condition for the cache age.

Teamed up with Mr Froghopppin for a little caching today.
Finally finished off the bicycle caches - they couldn't possibly be done on a bicycle with all the tools needed - and found a few interesting caches after that! CoolCool
Only a few places where our lives felt in danger and Matty did land flat on his back at one SurprisedTwisted Glad to get that lot finished off.

Here at last a task presented itself and the info was soon gleaned and applied!
Nice trailer Razz

Thank you mogni for adding to the SA geomap by the river Smile

Caches everywhere are located and logged using some or all of the resources of GSAK (Geocaching Swiss Army Knife), Garmin Montana 750i, Montana 680t, Etrex 35, Samsung S20+, Samsung S9, with Geocaching App, c:Geo, or Geooh Go, and Android Auto and other maps... or often with just plain old dumb luck! Please do stay safe when caching.
Lookout for mud, snakes, surprise cliffs, wild goats, wombats, bulldust, and lightning,
try not to get tetanus from rusty mint tins and don't fall out of trees...
-- -- -- -- -- -- -- but especially lookout for bugs. [xx(]

Make sure Travel Bugs are the only bugs you share and pass on Big Grin

We really appreciate all those placing quality caches out and about around the countryside,
it keeps our game safe, fun, and interesting Cool

A JAMS day had been organised (JJ52, mogni, Michells&hound and sir_spectre but no allister w) heading to Swan Reach for some of us to get the OTD buckets and clear our Swan Reach Conservation Park and for sir_spectre to finish the bike wherigo's. [^]

We had an early start with fog in the hills before it turned into a beautiful sunny day just perfect for caching. We saw lots of wildlife, the highlights being the emu crossing the road with her little baby quickly running in front of the car and a huge goanna that nearly landed on sir_spectre's head. Surprised

A fun day with a nice variety of caches found and we even managed the Adventure Lab while we were in Swan Reach. Big Grin

I was with the CO which made this one a little easier but I still managed to get the cache in the first place I felt. Cool

Thanks for the cache mogni. Smile

Day 2 of a caching run with TheWhiteDogGang, Astro, Four Fun and Davo1063.

A reasonably early start where we cleaned up a few nearby caches and then it was back into the Bike Series. Today was the high terrain day with a couple of pole caches and lots of climbs of the ladder.

A few were left as the safety committee voted against an attempt.

*FTF* @ 16:15

A cluster of caches are published and I chose this one; I've had good luck with FTFs at Nildottie before, plus it's a multi.

I enjoy that drive down the hill from Mt Pleasant, the roads are empty, and I'm the only vehicle on the punt. So far, so good.

Data collected, GZ calculated, and I got lucky with finding the cache with my first guess.

Thanks so much Mogni; I love this stretch of the Murray - the cliffs are spectacular in the afternoon sun. FP for the late afternoon adventure.
