Amazing waterfall, log in wet, see photo for proof. Tftc

Greetings from the USA! Decided to come back to McLaren Falls to pick up a couple of extra caches before heading to the airport. We left the pen in the car at the falls, so we took a picture of the log instead. The container was filled with water so we would have had a hard time signing the log anyway. TFTC and a nice visit to NZ!

Last cache before another stop off for the photogenic Falls. Easy find and resisted the urge to take one step beyond. Utter Madness!

After a drive up we headed to Mclaren Falls for our fist port of call prior to checking into the bach. Glad we did as this new to us place was awesome and a nice place to have lunch too. A drizzly walk along the track but nice to be here and caching after a few weeks with no finds.

The weekend is here and us capperz's are heading to the Mount for a 3 day weekend, travelling up early on Friday morning, and back home again on Friday. Not too many cache plans; a first trip to McLaren Falls, some new stuff at the Mount and a trip to Tauranga with a Wherigo in the sights. A few Ad Labs had the numbers ticking over and a few recent FPs have boosted my chances of knocking off this months Planetary Museum Maze, thingy. Thanks to all BoP cache owners for your hides. The weather was distinctly average, scenery great as always anywhere both new and familiar.

Not as small as I thought.

No luck at GZ and no luck at an X, this time around.

20-Apr-23
No luck today.

We couldn't find any X's so didn't find any cache!

Next time.......

27-Jan-23
Stopped for a look on my way into the park, but could find it. Decided to have one last look on the way back out and very quickly found it, with the hint making sense this time! Tftc!

Great cache hide. Thanks for the cache and making my time here in NZ even more enjoyable.

With Mum and niece… Someone began some ‘angry housework’ this morning. I took this as a sign to vacate the property, so we went for a calming drive… to Tauranga.

The falls were incredibly popular this afternoon. We were surprised by the steady flow of passersby as we pondered over this hide. What did the hint mean? There were a couple of actuals very near to ground zone, but there was nothing cache-like hidden there… Think like the CO! A very clever hint indeed. Thanks Mc Jandals. TFTC.

25-Dec-22
My pen would not work in the paper. Nice hide in good condition thanks

We were traveling through from Matata towards Hamilton so decided to stop here to explore and do a bit of caching for a birthday treat .
The last time I was here was for an archery tournament about 35 years ago. Boy has it changed. It's such a beautiful area. So glad to finally take the time to visit here again.
We parked up at the bottom by the falls and walked up. We had to think about the clue a bit, but it didn't take too long to to find what it could apply to, and the cache was in hand soon after.
Thanks for putting this here

21-Nov-22
X mark. Took a bit of sideways thinking but pleased there were no more banks to climb.

Tftc hmm hint actually took us away but we got there. 2nd around Cambridge area, having a full caching day SmileOver from the UK visiting family in Te Kuiti, exploring the north island and caching! So we're taking trips where we stay for a few days/weeks at a time before moving on to somewhere else or a few places before going back to spend time with family and back out again on another adventure. After some family time and some time caching with family that we introduced to the hobby we are off on a little adventure, starting with Cambridge. (Sorry for the very very late Log, between limited Data, some issues with our travel, some personal issues and a build up meaning the ADHD couldn't cope tackling these but finally getting logged Please forgive)

Our first find of the day as we headed to McLaren Falls Park.
We parked at GZ and waited for a few cars to pass before we started to search.
We couldn't work our what was meant by the X but used our geosenses and soon had the cache in hand.
A nice start to our day, now on to find more in the park.

24-Mar-22
Enough of the rain - after being inside for 3 days we decided that we'd get out for a walk no matter what. The good thing about that was we had the place to ourselves and also, the waterfall was absolutely roaring - just stunning. Nice find here. Cache is all good. TFTC

12-Mar-22
This one had us looking all over the place. Looked at all different xs then came back to the original x & found the cache. Didn't have a proper look on the first look. Tftc

12-Mar-22
This was our first find for the day, and we clearly didn’t have our geo sense on, as it took a lot longer than it should have. We looked in all possible places, and then came back to the first place we looked. TfTC

25-Jan-22
Down at the Mount for a small break before everybody heads back to school. At least the red traffic light did not affect our travel plans as this was booked three months ago.

Today was booked in for a trip out to McLaren falls. After we had walked up to the falls we were heading back and decided to stop here to look at the waterfalls here. What a lovely spot. Mr. Kiwi decided to head up to grab this cache. Once at GZ and looking at the hint it didn't take long to find the cache. As he was sitting and signing the log, he noticed a CCTV camera across the road and wondered if anybody was watching

TFTC.

Isis58 and I are on a mission over the long weekend to find as many TMGT and PWGT caches as possible with the occasional normal cache thrown in as time allows. It wasn't where I'd expected it to be but it didn't take long to find. Thanks for placing McJandals

So we made hard work of this one, and we couldn’t really blame the gps hee hee. Final success of the day, thanks for bringing us out this way again, a lovely way to spend a crisp morning.

01-Jun-21
We were over at McLaren Falls Park today for some walking, and of course, geocaching. Had a fun day - found ten traditional and obtained some info for a puzzle cache. Must come back with the kayaks when it's warmer to do the water caches - that really is a warm weather activity. A sunny day with very few people around - great. This was the easiest of the new caches that have been put out here, TFTC Smile

Drawing up to GZ around 6.45am noted a suspicious looking character with a head torch lurking nearby. Hello Davidson Clan, fancy meeting you here! A quick search with two sets of eyes and the cache was soon located. Now off to find the rest of the wanderings. TFTC

30-May-21
I sent a message out to the Team and an early morning plan was hatched to tackle the recent publications. I finished my shift at 0700 and proceeded to McLaren Falls meeting up with Geckoh and Davidson Clan. We'd accosted Happy Bogan during our travels today and she quickly zeroed in on this hide - found quickly and without fuss. Cheers Mc Jandals & TFTC Smile

After all our fun and games in the park this morning, this cache was almost an anti climax. Not taking away from z great hide, but just that it was the last and easiest find. A great series which has brought a few of us out here today. And although there was torrential rain at times we managed to avoid most of it. Thanks for the wanderings McJandals
