Did the lab right after our arrival in Cairns. And the bonus on our last day here. Thnx!
We had a peaceful walk around the gardens. The cache was found after a hint from co (thanks). The container has lost it's attractiveness and I had to wiggle it out from under. None the less a find. Thanks for setting up and the nudge.
Thanks for Dat!Easy find once I realised that it wasn't at the last adventure lab area; I should have read the last adventure cache page
Scoob and I had a great time walking through the gardens This cache was a tricky little one to find in the fading light. FP for the lab
Visiting the botanical gardens and grabbing some caches and the Adventure Lab. This was a tough one, I finally saw a bit of shine and found it. Thanks for the bonus!
Having arrived from a cool Melbourne this afternoon we would have appreciated a hide a little closer the the final Ad Lab! The heat was starting to get to us!! Once at the final coordinates after an initial scan I started a more detailed search and quickly caught a glimpse of the cache. However retrieval proved quite difficult and took some time. We also felt a little exposed as vehicles were queued to enter the Gardens to pack up after the market. But all good in the end. Thanks to dat87 for the AdLab and cache.
super cool find while in cairns fir a holiday. After finishing the adventure lab we made our way to gz and with a little bit of help from the co the log book was quickly in hand.TFTC. found with bttam and geojoeymac who couldnt log this as they arent premium.
sevabo and I worked out on AL other day and then this morning we came here and searched for a little while until I found it oh phew! TFTH and TFAL
We are also part of the large tour group from Germany and passed this cache today. We are from Ismaning/Bavaria. We had a great time in Melbourne. We have traveled with 36 likeminded geocachers to Australia and New Zealand resulting in lots of opportunities for sightseeing and geocaching. The logbooks were mostly signed under the teamname "Team DownUnder24" and answers were sent to owners for the group, as appropriate. This has been a great trip with a multifold of new impressions and experiences.During our stay in Cairns we had also the opportunity to visit some caches. This cache was today among our finds. Thanks for leading us here and showing and thanks for the cache.

Together with 36 other geocachers, the KiSt team undertook a very long trip to Australia ???? and New Zealand ???? for three weeks. On both the outward and return journeys, there was a stopover in Doha, the capital of Qatar ????.We experienced a great deal on this trip and gained many very different impressions of the two countries, their nature and their culture. Of course, the main focus was on visiting as many caches of as many different types as possible and also all accessible old cans. However, we also made sure to visit many special places of interest and to gain as comprehensive an impression as possible of nature and its flora and fauna. To save the logbooks, we usually signed in with our team name **Downunder24**. For "special" cans, however, we have not missed the opportunity to leave our nickname as well. This beautiful cache is now also one of our finds.Due to the large number of caches visited, it is unfortunately not possible for us to write an individual log for each can, which is why we would like to apologize to the owners for this collective log.We also met other cachers at some of the events and were able to share our experiences. Many thanks to the event owners!Of course we would like to thank all the owners for showing us the great locations, the sometimes tricky puzzles, exciting multis and wherigos, as well as the interesting virtuals and earth caches - TFTC!!!---In der Besetzung KiSt unternahmen wir zusammen mit 36 weiteren Geocachern fr drei Wochen eine sehr weite Reise nach Australien ???? und Neuseeland ????.
Found this cache on a 21-day trip to Australia and New Zealand with a night of stopover in Qatar. In Qatar we have an evening and almost a full day of geocaching before we take the long flight to Downunder. In Australia we will visit the cities of Sydney, Melbourne, and Cairns. New Zealand ????, two goals for me so far unattainable that I can now remove from my spoon list thanks to the best hobby in the world.Where can you find 37 enthusiastic travel participants with the same interest?Exactly, at Cacher-Reisen??.And so we are here and explore the cities, landscapes and beautiful nature. As a group, we register in the logbooks with Downunder2024 to save space or not to blow up the email account. Many different cache types are on our list, the old cans from 2000/2001 to fill the Jasmer or even to close the last gaps. Here, a great variety is offered in both.T4t$ says viko76 from Berlin/ Germany

Danke fr diesen Geocache. Danke fr die Ausarbeitung. Danke frs Zeigen.Lieber Gru aus Duisburg / DeutschlandAndyDieser Logeintrag wird mit Hilfe von Google bersetzt.__________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________We set off on a long journey with 37 geocachers from Germany, Denmark, Luxembourg and Switzerland. Three weeks to Australia and New Zealand, starting with a stopover in Doha, Qatar. I have never been so long and so far away from home. An exciting time. When geocaching, the focus was on many different cache types, but also special ratings, challenges and especially a few very old caches from the years 2000 and 2001. But also, of course, especially the geocaches that were easily accessible on foot from the hotel.Of course, the focus wasn't just on geocaching; the sights of the individual stations we visited also deserved attention. We entered our team name Downunder 2024 in the logbooks, saving logbook space and efficiently. It was a very special trip in a large team, which was also a lot of fun.Today we went around Cairns with very interesting excursions.Due to the large number of caches, there is usually only one standard log, for which I would like to apologize to the different owners. Thanks for this geocache. Thanks for the elaboration. Thank you for showing me.Kind regards from Duisburg / GermanyAndyThis log entry is translated with the help of Google.

A hidden gem these well maintained and manicured botanic gardens, a pity the 'tanks' were closed on a Sunday arvo, but still managed to gather the required info, just couldn't grab the nearby trad, loved the hide at GZ, TFTC dat87

Departed Melbourne a couple of weeks ago and travelling north for the winter, well, for the northern warmth actually (hopefully ), passing through as many small towns as I can grabbing the odd cache here and there as I travel.
Finally made the northern warmth and the Cape and I'm loving it now I'm back in Cairns again for a few more days before heading south again tomorrow.
We have been to the Cape and are on our way home now having a few more adventures as we go and now I'm back in Cairns again for a few more days before heading south again tomorrow.
Having completed the Lab Cache and recieved the final location, there are so many places to look…
But it was found quite quickly after starting off methodically
**Thanks for placing this cache dat87**

We found ourselves picking up our rental car from a place near the Botanic Gardens, so this was our first stop in Cairns this morning. We had a very pleasurable stroll from end to end along the gardens, admiring the variety of beautiful ornamental gingers, interesting trees, and brush turkeys. Plenty of other people out here enjoying it today but none at GZ, where we finally found ourselves looking for this wee little geocache. With so many potential hiding places, it took us a fair while to spot the little beggar, but we finally got there in the end. Thank you for a very enjoyable morning. TFTC, dat87. =^.^=
YGAT very quickly found the cache in a spot I had already checked. We replaced it exactly as we found it.
Thanks dat87 for the Adventure Lab and this bonus cache.
Thanks dat87 for the Adventure Lab and this bonus cache.
We finished the AL today and then took a stroll to pick up this bonus cache, which we found quickly thanks to some subtle hints in the logs. Thanks dat87.
Apologies for the late log here (02.01.24) but I've had a busy time since getting back to the UK.Another goodie, found after completing the AdLabs and picking up another couple of caches in this very pretty (and educational, in a fun way) area. I enjoyed GZ and the hide here, so extra thanks for that/those TNLN-TFTC!SP (UK) on an epic trek right around the world.
No problem answer the questions, but had to search for a while to find the actual hide. Thankful to those who said they found a clue in previous logs
Thanks to the CO. Favourite point awarded.

Having finished the AdLab a couple of days ago, it was time to make this find, as it’s getting closer to the time to go home, unfortunately.
An appropriate place for a final, and a fairly quick find in a good hiding place. Thanks for the interesting Adventure Lab and the good final, dat87 which earns a FP from me.

We were here - Joodie & Joodax
after work walk, wine and relax!
dat87 Thanks for the cache and yellow dandelion.
Today we were supposed to go to the Daintree rainforest, but at breakfast I was "sparse" like Bilbo Baggins, so we only planned a visit to the local botanical garden .
After arriving at the park, we set out for the planned great caches. Right at the beginning there is a great sign with information about the fact that there are crocodiles here and we should be vigilant. Joodie stiffened somewhat so I dragged her as dead weight for the next 200m. I indicated that it was of no importance and we deleted these caches from the program.
We went around the nearby LAB and crawled around the finals for 30 minutes. I was expecting a extra box like in Kuranda. NOTHING. So we went to the shopping center to see what is different here in Australia. Joodie went to look at clothes and I went to look at a nearby cache .
However, Joodie wrote to the owner of the cache where we couldn't find the box, she asked for help and help came. We returned and with a kick from the owner, we triumphantly entered LB. Today I can go to sleep with a smile ...

Jenomže Joodie napsala ownerovi keše, kde jsme nenašli krabičku, o pomoc a pomoc přišla.

From Czechia with love!
It is great to be up north once more. Things fortunately aligned, allowing me to do this trip to enjoy the tropical north and find some targeted caches along the way. This time it is all about finding caches that would count towards different DT matrix challenges and caches that I had solved before. Despite Townsville and Cairns being just a few hours apart, it is always amazing how much thicker and greener the greenery here is. It’s really trying to elude the avid cacher. Thank you very much dat87 for creating this cache. It was fun finding it.
During I previous trip I was able to complete the accompanying AL cache but ran out of time to get to this bonus. Now I am back and was able to make the find. Thanks

After completing the Adventure Lab yesterday we decided to save the bonus for today. After searching for a while Mrs Searchwise015 decided to look through the previous logs and she found A previous log very helpful. TFTC SL - S69
After doing the Adventure Lab, we were running a bit late, so we only took a couple of minutes to look in the most likely hiding spot, but unfortunately, we didn’t find anything even though we were pretty certain we’re looking for.
If it’s in the spot where there’s a large amount of area to search, it could do with a hint.
Thanks anyway!

After walking around the area completing the Adventure Labs I headed to the location this bonus cache. I searched high and low and concentrated on the area which was hinted to in previous logs. finally I sent a message to the CO who answered promptly and verified that I was searching in the correct spot.
The CO has graciously let me log a find on the cache.

It’s my last day in cairns from Townsville today.
I collected the labs 4 days ago while in this area but being back in the area for the markets it was perfect to come and grab. Log is almost full and I had to sign in one of the last spots.

What a great way to get a taster of all that is around here. I have visited the Botanical Gardens on previous trips to Cairns, so didn't mind too much that the adlab didn't actually take us inside. At GZ it took a bit of searching from two of us. Eventually a subtle hint in a previous log gave me the help I needed. TFTC!
Caching weekend in FNQ with Beardman75 and wayn0.
Our first day was spent caching in and around Cairns.
With the hot day we might have rushed it in order to get back in the aircon
Thank you dat87 for hiding and maintaining this geocache for the community.

Fantastic gardens! Thanks for the tour and cache. In the area with geo-buddies so of course geocaching.
Cheers

I had trouble getting my pen to write on the log so we signed as BMKAW. Thanks for the cache
I was just here the other day thinking that there really should be a cache here! Thanks for a great lab & TFTC!0
We completed the adventure lab earlier in the week and continued to explore the beautiful botanic gardens but my sister was at her caching limit - it's a holiday not a caching trip may have been muttered...
Today I returned on my own for a walk and found this well themed cache. It was an a class adventure walk.

I really enjoyed this one, as it's a great garden...even in the rain. Might even be better in the rain. I went from WP to WP, umbrella up and finally had the final coordinates for this. I did though have to get some assistance from the CO to locate the cache. Thank you for the prompt reply. Then back to the gardens to explore some more. TFTC dat87.

Worked out and found with tassie expat. Really liked the gardens, it was a bit busy and patience was required to retrieve the cache. Tftc
With traffic banking up due to the Iron man we weren't certain of a sneaky find. But with everyone focussed on the road in the hope of some movement we were able to retrieve with the help of a TOTT. Walked away to sign etc as some muggles walked on by. Popped back with ease. Great walk to fill in our morning. TFTC
Sunday is the day to spend in and around the Cairns botanic Gardens. We had been looking forward to this since we arrived in Cairns for our holiday. We started first with the art gallery and took our time wandering through there, where all was fairly quiet.
It was then time to explore some of the exotic garden areas, with plants from neighbouring countries and South America.
We took our time exploring, and as we went, we collected the points of this adventure lab along the way.
Before heading back to the car, we took a walk to GZ for this one.
Thanks Dat87. A bit of searching until we had the log signed.
Thanks

Catching up with late logs
The weather wasn't been very kind to us during our stay in Cairns but we were determined to get all the labs here. This one we did over a couple of days when the rain had eased and happily once we had finished the adventure lab we were rewarded with a set of co-ords for this one just as the rain started coming down again
We didn't really want to make another visit here so we decided to get wet and headed off towards gz. We followed the needle to gz where we must have got lucky as the container was found after a brief search and we quickly added our initials to the log to save room and returned everything as it was.
Many thanks dat87 for the adventure lab and this bonus.

Great Northern escape 2022 Day 17. Cairns section Day 1. On a hot but very rainy morning I headed to the botanic gardens to tackle the LABs there and a few other difficult multis and a where-i-go. The only bit that went smoothly was the labs and bonus. The where-i-go presented challenge after challenge, but after a few different approaches I received a number that took me to the right location. In the afternoon I had another go at an estuary multi that had beaten me in the past, not sure why, it went smoothly today.
The park was busy, despite the markets being canceled due to weather. I enjoyed my stroll around the LABS and was happy to receive the location of the BONUS cache. It was in a likely pot, but it took a lot of careful examination and feeling to locate the nasty little cache on all that metal.
Thanks for the cache dat87

Travelling with Geoturtle37, Team Crackers and Micaparamedic. We have had an awesome time getting to the Townsville Mega and have a little time left before we go our separate ways, so looking around a little and marking our travels with smileys (if we are lucky).
GT37 and I managed to complete the ad lab and find this whilst Crackers ran an errand. They said they will be back before we leave the area. Thanks for this ad lab and the bonus in such a beautiful location.

Micarparamedic, Papi4506 and I managed to get the ad lab finished before we got wet although it was so steamy, we were almost as wet as if it had rained. This is a beautiful Botanic Gardens. Ours are lovely back south but the tropical colours are stunning. I would love to come back when there are more blooms. Thanks for bringing us here with the ad lab and this bonus cache.
TFTC and Adventure Lab. Enjoyed our walk in the gardens. We must be losing our touch as we needed a hint from the CO to find this little hide
This was tricky. Coords bounced around 10m off but looked at the obvious place and soon found it.
Enjoyed our trip to Townsville but now in Cairns enjoying the rainy weather.
Thanks for getting me out and about dat87

Found this evening after work. Great lab with interesting stops. Took a little while to track down the final at dusk. Thanks for the cache dat87
After collecting Walter’s puzzles it was nice to be in the AC of the car with some quick stops to collect the lab answers. Fitting final which was a surprisingly quick find.
Thanks dat87 for creating and placing this for us to enjoy. Nice area. Reminds me of the Polynesian Resort at Disneyworld.

Great to see that the ALs mostly have a physical bonus box as well. Nice little walk and an easy find at the end.

1MinnieMoo and I were rolling back into Cairns and decided to grab the Adventure Labs and its accompanying bonus.
We had no problems getting the Adventure Lab itself. It was a busy Sunday afternoon - but not too busy. We soon sorted where the bonus was and made our way there.
Thankfully, it was a nice easy find today. 1MinnieMoo had it in her hand in no time. A great little Adventure Lab and bonus. TFTC dat87

Fangsoki and I had spent the day on a couple of hikes near Mareeba today, and had just returned to Cairns where we decided we needed to finish the day completing these lab caches.
We were pretty tired by this stage, and the weather was hot. We managed to find a parking space and made our way over. There was much commotion around the gardens today, people dressed in extremely colourful clothing, and of course whatever was happening, was happening right by our first lab stop.
Luckily we managed to work out the answer, and quickly extricated ourselves from the hustle and bustle and completed the rest of the labs. We then headed around to the bonus cache, where we quickly located the little beast - was spotted easily with the cacher’s eye, but I doubt muggles would give it a glance.
Thanks for the cache dat87.

We have just spent time wandering around the Cairns Botanic Gardens. We have been here before, and it certainly lived up to our memories. We did one traditional cache, one adventure lab and a bonus cache from the adventure lab. Very warm, but beautifully comfortable under the shaded walks. We thoroughly recommend a visit here, and the caches were the icing on the cake.
Thank you to the CO’s who added to our enjoyment of this beautiful area.

After having enjoyed the Adventure Lab Series, we were rewarded with a set of coordinates for the final hide. A short walk later and we arrived at the GZ. Thanks for replacing the cache container and the logsheet. It was good to be able to add our names as finders.
Cache container replaced today after it went missing earlier in the week. Please consider your fellow cachers (and the owner) by ensure you put the container back in the exact spot you found it. Thanks for your cooperation!
