My GPS is usually 3m out and I saw and dismissed the host, but after an inspection of likely nearby hosts discovered that my GPS was spot on this time when I discovered a truly sneaky hide hidden in plain sight. TFTC, Gumnut6160!
I have had WAGB, and caching in WA, on my todo list for some time. I contemplated booking in earlier in the year but couldnt commit. Two weeks ago I decided I might just be able to make it work. So a mad scramble began. Last minute flights, accommodation and cache plans - tick, tick, tick! Fast forward a couple of crazy weeks and Ive finally landed. Today I finally get to add the last Australian souvenir to my collection, WA! Having got up at 4am to catch a flight (2am WA time) it was a very long day, but super rewarding and superb weather. This is one of the first WA caches added to my find list.A tricky hide, cleverly disguised. Took a bit of searching and head scratching before it was uncovered. A favourite from me!A big thanks goes to Gumnut6160 for taking the time to add St Peters to the geocaching map for us all to find and enjoy.----------------------------------------------------------Wow! The fun just never stops.Have you logged your will attend for Victoria's first ever Block Party? (Think Mega but even more special!)Join us on 22-23 March 2025 in Sunbury to celebrate 25 years of geocaching by logging your will attend at [**GCAP417**](https://coord.info/GCAP417).
Photo log great cache TFTC P.s do not look a photo it is a big giveaway! rain makes host more believable
WA Big Trip Winter 2024. Day 58 - Swan Valley Perth Day 3. After two days of local area caching, I headed further afield to try and cross off some more counties. It seems I just missed one while I was in Fremantle, so back I go to East Fremantle, Mosman Park and Cottesloe. It was a fanatically sunny clear day and very park and beach side spot was busy with people waling and seeing the sights. I started with some tough caches, struggled to find lunch rather than caches and did a few labs late in the afternoon. It was a much longer day and I gave the fourth county a skip for another day. Home for a van cooked meal before heading into the city on the train tomorrow.Talk about something that is always just to be ignored. I was again running out of places to look when I thought the cache needed a closer look, and wow, a cache !Thanks for the cache Gumnut616047998.3 TNLNVisited: World Traveling Gold GC A#6 & Clam A#30**Albida**
Great HideThanks Gumnut6160 for the cacheJames0116Sunday2 Jun 202410:55:49AM AWST4651Please ignore the below unless you want to read a big rant about nanosOh, nano caches, you little perplexing creatures! How you manage to frustrate and challenge me at every turn is truly a marvel. I find myself both enamored and exasperated by your minuscule presence in the geocaching world. Your diminutive size may be your claim to fame, but its also the cause of my never-ending struggle to locate and conquer your hidden domains.Lets delve into the realm of your size, shall we? Nano caches, youre like the David of the geocaching universe, defying all odds with your small stature. But heres the thing: David had a giant to defeat, while you, nano caches, are the giants in disguise. You pack an incredible punch with your infinitesimal dimensions, testing the limits of my observation skills and pushing me to question the very nature of reality. How can something so small be so devilishly difficult to find? Its a perplexing paradox that keeps me coming back for more, even as I grumble in frustration.Ah, and lets not forget about your crafty hiding spots. Nano caches, youre the masters of disguise, the Houdinis of the geocaching world. You can be tucked away in the tiniest crevices, camouflaged amidst the natural environment, or cleverly concealed within everyday objects. Ive spent countless hours searching for you, only to realize that you were nestled right under my nose the entire time. Its a testament to your cunning and my occasional lack of perception. But dont worry, nano caches, Im determined to improve my geocaching detective skills and conquer your hidden lairs once and for all! Now, lets talk about the logbooksor should I say, the almost non-existent log snippets. Nano caches, youre not known for your spacious accommodations. Instead, you offer a mere fragment of paper, a token space for geocachers to leave their mark. Its like trying to squeeze an epic tale into a tweet, a monumental challenge in brevity. But hey, maybe thats the beauty of itforcing us to distill our geocaching experiences into concise snippets, like haikus of adventure. And lets not overlook the fragility of your petite existence. Nano caches, youre delicate creatures, delicate like a delicate thing delicately balanced on a delicate tightrope. Okay, maybe thats a bit too delicate, but you get the idea. Handling you requires the utmost care and precision, as one clumsy moment could result in irreversible damage. Its a dance of finesse, a delicate ballet between geocacher and cache, where even the slightest misstep could shatter the delicate equilibrium. So, dear nano caches, you perplexing enigmas, I both curse and embrace your existence. You challenge my skills, test my determination, and occasionally make me question my sanity. But amidst the frustration, theres an undeniable thrill, a sense of accomplishment when I finally conquer your microscopic challenges. So, heres to you, nano caches, for keeping geocaching interesting, for reminding us that adventure comes in all sizes, and for pushing us to explore the vast and tiny corners of the world.Thank you, Gumnut6160, for the cache that sparked this rant. Your nano cache has ignited a flame within me, a desire to conquer the tiny kingdoms and unravel their mysteries. I appreciate the effort you put into creating an experience that simultaneously frustrates and delights. And to all the geocachers out there, whether you love or loathe the nano caches, remember that its the diversity of caches that keeps our geocaching journeys exciting and unpredictable.
Well this little one has aged since I saw it last. Looking quite vintage now.Log replaced.
Very hard to get this one open! Log is in very bad condition and could do with a replacement. Much harder find than others led on to believe. Think outside the park tftc
The man need to come to this area for a uni thing so while he busied himself assessing the land use, I wandered over to GZ for a straightforward find. Thanks for the hide Gumnut6160

We were looking in the wrong place at first then spotted the likely host. Log almost full. TFTC
Caching in the area with axell33. At gz we were looking about and I just happened to see it! A clever hide here and a favourite for me. Thanks for the cache Gumnut6160.
Caching in the area and this was next on our hit list. We parked up the street and enjoyed a nice walk to gz and after a quick search Leega spotted the prize. We added our names to your log and returned your cache back as we found it. TFTC Gumnut6160

Full time nomads since February 2014, here to visit family.
Full day cycling around the Freo CBD today. Rain held off although it did come across very dark. Only a couple of DNF's of tricky caches. Maybe we can revisit tomorrow.

A little sneaky one, but it didn't take too long to spot the hide. Thanks Gumnut6160.
Found this after work in the area and I only found one exactly like this in Rockingham last week. GZ had me 5 metres from spot so satellite images worked well here to make the find. Tftc guys
Out doing a bit of local cleanup at night after finishing painting some new caches to go out soon. Bit of a nip to the easterly breeze this evening. The one jumper I was wearing was probably not enough.
Wasn’t able to locate this last time. Pretty well hidden be neat cache. Not the first I’ve found of this type before, so I’m really not sure why it was so difficult. Cheers Gumnut6160!

Took a couple of minutes to get a good park and we walked the last little bit over to GZ.
Seems to have been some work in the area recently and it drew our eye immediately.
Suitably satisfied that we were in the wrong track we took a step back and SirFancy spotted the cache soon after.

This was our first geo outing for a couple of weeks and we enjoyed getting back into the swing of things. We had a few unfound caches around here and had fun collecting smilies. Cheers and TFTC.

Find 7 of 7 with 2 DNF on a warm and windy bike ride starting in East Freo, out to Bicton, then back into Freo for lunch and a beer at Gage Roads' splendid new establishment. Quite a few Ad Lab locations along the way kept us busy.
Not seen many like this, the last one was in Rockingham at WAGB I think. Clever hiding.
TFTC Gumnut6160!

Myself ICNothing and Kapelula joined up as Team MIK today driving around… a smiley here, cheers
Team Mik are out and about caching and lunching to celebrate our birthdays. With the weather so warm today we have decided on focusing on park and grabs but are still enjoying the hunt. All caches found in good condition. Logged as team MIK
Excellent. It took a second look to extract this clever cache. Favourite for sure.
Like the camo add FP
Headed out early this morning starting in Byford, working our way through Jarrahdale, Pinjarra, Waroona, and then back towards Perth via Rockingham, Fremantle, into the western suburbs and then home via the CBD.
A great day out with one unexpected FTF near Waroona, a few good multis and some neat urban camo caches. 30 finds for the day which is a solid effort for us, with so few left to find.
Thanks to the local COs for their hides.

Down in Freo for lunch today so took the opportunity to pick up a few caches while here This was one that I stopped off at. Parked right by GZ so kinda had a similar moment to K.B. previously - my GZ was showing as the bench but after drawing a blank there I walked back to the car to check previous logs on my phone and spotted a possible camo - bingo Nicely done - have a fave point. All good here, TFTC
Good thing the muggles were distracted trying to separate their muggle dogs from fighting each other because it gave us the time we needed to get this done. Had to do a second take as I discounted it as nothing the first time, had it locked down pretty quickly though just like the muggle dog playing frisbee.
Rode up and over the bridge from one of your other hides to reach this park. My phone had me at the bench seat inside the park. I looked around before returning to my bike for a pencil (since I read it was a nano). I managed to spot the hide. Took an obligatory photo as proof I actually rode for a change. Thanks for the hide.
Played with a friendly Westie before making the find & signing the log. TFTC gumnut6160
I saw the new publication notices and then went to collect Chwiliwr from the Museum. We then went for a drive to find them.
This was the second cache we searched for and found it without problems. Log signed and cache returned as we found it. Joint*FTF*
Thanks Gumnut6060 for placing this cache for us to find.
