Spring Victorian Incursion 2024.Day Eleven: Bayside, Frankston, Dandenong.Weather: a bit of everything. Yes, I had noticed the abundance of unknown caches along the coast here; theres quite a few multis too. Im not complaining, although Im not quick at puzzles and so probably wont be attempting many on this tour. I like the sentiment here, and I particularly liked the camo. Plus I scored a bonus coffee for the morning nearby. Thanks for this cache gmj3191.
Cache find 221After reading the hint saw the cache and grabbed it grabbed a trackable the container is in good condition TFTC
My second last find for the day. As a previous finder stated, the hint is far more accurate than satellite view. Thanks for the whimsy re cache container.
This one was amazing! Plenty of room for treasure and enjoyed hunting it very much. Super creative and the hint was very helpful - it is more accurate than the actual map. Thank you so much for hiding this - such a thrill!
Today we found The Puzzle Coast on our travels..so many caches, not enough time! What a glorious day for a walk around our local! Thanks gmj3191 for being part of our geocaching fun.
A cache on the way back from a lovely birthday brunch yay! Glad the drizzle stopped long enough. Never been to this spot before. Thank you.
*Found on the 28 Jul 2024 @ 3:00PM.**Cache find # 15683.* As I was in the area and not having found this one yet, I went for an extended stroll to look for this one, arrived at GZ and was able to make a quick find on a nicely dressed up container that is very familiar.**Thanks to gmj3191 for keeping the game going by placing this cache.**
Thank you for the lovely cache. There is a track able for the next one. Please not the TB's code is very small. It is not a swap.
I had come to Hampton to try my hand at Multi there and part way through it, I took some time out to chase out some Trads... second on my list was this one... as promised in the description, a nice, easy, straight forward find. Thanks **gmj3191** for putting out something simple for those times when you don't want to engage the brain.
Find 3283Not many people around today even though the weather was brilliant.Coords were good and the direction to GZ took us straight to the cache. Some nice cammo for the cache.Log signed and and all back safe again.Decided on a coffee at the old boat shed and viewed the great pictures on the wall of the early days at the beach. Thanks
Incredible camo! And a lovely little spot - saw a few doggos run past while searching. TFTC
Out and about tonight on a classic midnight run, an absolute lifesaver for fuel and time efficiency when doing my streak. Once again being up this way I was more than happy to go out and pick up two nice and quick trads before heading back home for some well needed rest. 2nd cache for the midnight run and clocking in at 12:05 I was more than happy to claim a second day in one trip. Quickly spotted in its hidey hole and returned home. Thanks for the cache and the little adventure.
Loved the camo! No trackables are in the cache, but the page says there were supposed to be two. TFTC!
Stopping for the bathroom and some water it was a joy to see a traditional cache in the area. What a bad cachet though to have a writing implement! None in the cache. I have a picture for proof but dont want to spoil your beautiful camo!Tftc
Typical Friday night traffic had me heading out to the burbs for a bit of caching. Plenty of parking close to GZ made for a quick park and grab. Nicely decorated cache here. Thanks for the cache.
After drying my tears being abused by Benlinus for getting the month wrong, we put the cute cache back TFTC
What a pretty cache. Ive tried in vain to find this one before so it was lovely to tick it off TFTC!
Found with the boy. I like the old version better, but still one of the most creative caches I've found. TY
All types of caches are appreciated along this coastline. We are enjoying our walk this morning, getting to pat a few friendly canines we come across, while making our way to GZ.Steve found this cute container cache (I dont think Ive found any yet today). Thanks for placing these caches gmj3191 and for all you do for the community.
We have sooooo many solved puzzles that we decided today would be a Priority Puzzle Pickings day. We also had some TBs which had been in our possession since late last year so we wanted to move them on (in Traditionals) We didn't manage to find all the caches on our list coz of the long lunch lol, so this was our last cache for the day and we dropped our last 2 TB's in here! We also took the 2 TB's thinking they were TB's ready to be moved on, to discover later on that they were new ones - whoops!! Having accidentally activated one I have now designated it as the "gmj3191" TB to visit all your caches that we do! I am hoping I can just edit logs to visit previously found caches, otherwise apologies in advance for lots of dipping TB logs We have currently found 71 of your caches, so lottttts to go!! The other TB I will keep to give to geoturtle37 as it has a turtle (or tortoise??) on it. Cache was a nice easy and cute find to round out our day. We spent a little while down at the beach over the other side before heading home in not too bad traffic considering it was peak hour by nowTFTC gmj3191 - GJMMelb
Dropped 2 TBsPicked up 2 TBs (to later discover they were new and as I put in the code to look for the first one and it activated it. Will keep the other one to give to Geo-Turtle as it has a turtle on it. Sorry gmj3191, I assumed they were normal already activated TBs FLTF
There could be an issue here so I'll disable it until I can check it later this week.
15:54Second find on a walk from Sandy Station to the Cache of the Year Awards.Dead accurate coordinates led to spotting a very well made container in amusing camouflage.Nice one, gmj3191.#8028
I'd left the house in a bit of a huff and had no destination in mind but ended up in Hampton. Well actually ended up near the Hampton outrage multi but decided to forego that for now and return another day. After a DNF at a nearby trad I was hoping for better luck here. I spotted the signs of a geotrail and then saw a very well camouflaged object that blended in very nicely but also stood out just enough to tell that it looked slightly out of place. I picked up the cache delicately not wanting to handle it too much at the risk of breaking something. Knowing my luck, something would break even with the slightest misstep or maneuvre. I retrieved the log, signed and returned the cache as gently as possible. My thanks to the CO and the work and effort put into this one and for clearing my head with a walk.
Picked this on up while collecting some bayside caches. I spotted the camo straight away once I sorted out my east from west. Thankfully the nearby muggles were to occupied with their dogs to notice me.
Clever! It needed a little fi ing with the decor, so I helped out. Everything in good shape! Thanks!
Off for another Friday evening geocaching run. Tonight I selected the Sandringham area with the nice weather and the bay views. I had GZ at white post, then followed the instructions to the cache. Lots of dogs running around on the beach and in the bushes near this geocache. Thanks for the cache GMJ 3191HunterPS. Log book full but room for names on previous pages.
Woo! What a great cache! So happy to have proper camouflaged caches around here. Thanks!
Marshalls Geelong found this cache today,This definitely was a thinker for a minute! When I saw it I couldnt unsee it. Beautiful and creative cache. TFTC!
#5.502On this lovely sunny day, we walked along Sandringham Beach and enjoyed the weather and the sea.The hint made this a quick grab and sign.TFTC says team mastba from Hamburg/Germany
Out and about on a grey Sunday. Always looking for somewhere new to take the geopup and to find a cache. Love the camo. Thanks for the find.
Found this today on our Saturday Afternoon South West to the Bay Afternoon. A couple of extra caches at the end of the day. Thank goodness for the great hint because I normally suffer greatly looking for caches in this type of setting. A lovely hide too. Our 3rd pick up near this spot with previous cache finds for us in 2011 and 2014. Thanks from D B-A
Nice one! Quite a network of tracks. Out and about on a multi mission in Marvellous Melbs that includes getting some ozone at sea level. Great moody views of frantic clouds building. Happy to dodge raindrops. TFTC and the FUN
Haha fantastic camo! I am one of those people who visit dog parks/beaches so I can say hello to other peoples dogs we got a few pats in this morning with some friendly fur-babies. Thanks for the fun cache!
Had a nice little walk around the place here.
For me it was good to be out and strecth the legs.
This one was a quick find at GZ.
No muggles in sight today.

Very good camo. Little bush walk and we quickly spotted it! Thanks for this one
Found quickly and disturbed a small lizard who had chosen this cache as it's home.
Army camo on ANZAC Day. Very fitting. Hint was helpful as coords took us to the nearby post. Dropped a trackable we picked up in Tassie.
Just arrived in Australia and our first walk on the beach. This was a great cache. Are us smile. Tftc
Both Jetsons23 and I were free of kids and avoiding home duty responsibilities. We hadn't cached together in so long and the weather was amazing today so off we went.
A pleasant walk which took me back to my high school outdoor ed class days when we came down here for windsurfing lessons.
At GZ I sent Jetsons23 in first to clear any 8 legged creatures that may have created webs across the path. Then we saw the cache and both smiled. Its so nice to see something a little different than the usual boring stuff around. I give it a favourite point as it was enjoyable.
Thank you for the cache here gmj3191

Great sunny day for caching with my friend oshfam. After a really nice walk we found this cache. Not just any cache, but one that had been created and made us smile. Thank you for the interesting cache. A favourite point from me.
A quick find while killing time.

What a perfect way to celebrate our “cache-iversary” than by finding a cache by the same CO as our very first find, four years ago. And what a beauty it is. I’ve been saving this one as its close-by and an easy trad, for those ‘just because’ days.
In the four years we’ve been caching, we’ve managed:
• 1,207 finds (including Ad Labs)
• adopted 1 traditional cache, created and placed 1 puzzle cache
• held 1 Community Celebration Event, and another event to be held next week
• cached in 4 Australian states, and 2 countries (Australia & Singapore)
• attended 2 Megas (Wangaratta and Whittlesea)
• hosted many, many Zoom puzzle sessions
• been to brilliant locations and places we never knew existed, and
• made some wonderful connections and friendships!
I wish I noted down who it was who put a post on Facebook about what to do with bored kids during the summer school holidays, because I can never thank them enough for introducing us to geocaching.
Thanks for the opportunity for another smiley gmj3191, and thanks for your mentorship in those early days. Cache on
**The Cache:** Great camo and perfect coordinates. TNLN. Signed log as Let Them Eat Cache, LTEC, or something in between. Replaced as found.
*Throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbour. Explore. Dream. Discover.* **Mark Twain**

Out and about with Rebel Acts putting some smiles on the map. Early start to the day but definitely worth it to tick off a few more caches.
Cheers for the cache

Out on another of our Sunday caching adventures, we had an early start chasing a few Side Tracked caches all over the place before heading to the Year of the hide 2022 event, after that we concentrated on some Bayside caches.
This is one of the caches found today.
Thanks gmj3191 for the cache.

Paid parking here.
Cache takes about 10min.
Take the risk. Save $1.
Live life on the edge.
It was worth it. Aysen loved the cammo. We came back, coast was clear, rush off to do another one.
A penny earned is a penny saved, so thanks for the $2.

On a midnight adventure with Geoturtle37, we decided to add some trads to the tally.
Nothing wrong with puzzles, but I also love a well-camoed trad! A fav point here for the effort that’s gone into this one.
Thanks for bringing us here today by placing this cache, gmj3191

We found this a little after midnight which was great and bad. There were no muggles about but you had to really keep your eyes open for the huge amounts of dog #(*& that were laying around. Thanks for this lovely cache.

A well done cammo, but eventually a simple find for us here today. Nicely done on the container, I do like a well crafted piece of geocache.
Took nothing, left nothing.
Thanks for placing this geocache here for us to find today, for without those who like to hide geocaches, there would bething around for those who like to find geocaches.

What a great day to get out. On a Rogaine event. Great hide. Thanks for the Cache.
TFTC! Fun camo. Found with diablo1234 while looking for checkpoints during the Beach Roadgaine
Out caching in the Sandringham area with xambo4u, we had a successful day and managed to avoid the rain that deluged other parts of Melbourne.
A pleasant stroll to GZ to find a well camouflaged cache. Thanks gmj3191

I felt like a quiet stroll along the beach and since it was between rain showers, now was the perfect time of day.
City lights reflecting across the bay added an extra sparkle to the find.
Thanks for the trad gmj3191.

The nearby puzzle cache was my main target for this morning, but of course I had to get the trads while I was here. Initially had my east and west mixed up but once I sorted that out, it was a quick find. Something definitely slithered out as I went to open the cache which caused me to drop the cache in fright, but I'm pretty sure it was just a skink or something like that....I think. Great cache came. TFTC!
