On a business trip to NZ, but always make time for some caches. This was my first this time around - thanks for the fun and the hunt - Happy Birthday to CachingSpouse. All signed but cache container needs some love - no longer watertight
we were in the area primarily chasing an ad lab point, but it's so lovely here that we decided to spend a bit of time exploring the area and picking up some trads as well.We timed things well (fluked it), and came here at low tide. That's an interesting cache container. I left an alphabet stone- the letter Q.Thanks for putting this here Letter Q
In Beachlands/Maraetai with rattll this weekend, an area neither of us have ever cached before (and that's a rare thing in the NI!)A quick find, although tucked away out of sight. All well in the cache. Signed, and returned as found. Tftc!
It was a fairly long hike from the parking area, but the tide was out so it was there was no problems. TFTC.
Found it tampered with and paper laying about 2 meters away from the spot on the ground, have put it back in its spot but may need some love from Steve. Thanks for the cache either way.How gooooooood
Great walk along the beach here this morning. A few passing showers, but nothing too heavy. I enjoyed myself here. TFTC
No problems finding cache with the hint. Love this area to cache in. Nice quiet and good view. Tftc
Up this way again with ABCDF4
Decided to do the beach walk as it was Low tide
Cool Container thanks

Cool Container thanks
Lovely walk with friends along the beach and stumbled across your geocache. Fun!
Family were all busy on Christmas Day so decided to treat myself to a day caching. Called here an hour ago but after consideration I decided to attempt this walk even though the tide was still high. Enjoying the walk along the waters edge. Here I was pleased to go under cover to make the find. Thank you for the placement.
We spotted this one from far off as was not covered - will fix that . Thanks for the hide. We are loving all these different caches along this beautiful walk .
Nice area we have never been to before. Lovely afternoon to spend the Queens Memorial Day. TFTC, the kids loved it
Out and about on the first day of Daylights savings on a stunning day. A quick find here of the LARGE container, as it was very exposed. We tried to cover it up with natural camo as best we could before leaving the area. Not surprised to see that we were not the first visitors to find this cache today, as we had spotted Sharkbait at a cache location on our way to park the car. TFTC
Easiest cache on the beach here, headed to GZ and right there it was, nice and easy, log all good and signed, TFTC.
Clevedon - Duder - Maraetai - Beachlands - Whitford it was my today`s trip.
Beautiful area for a stroll. A little bit windy on approach but still cool!
Count for a day 21 founds and 0 DNFs!
Cache found at 14:54.
It was my 9516.
TFTC stevecoxnz!

We are enjoying a fine morning wandering along the shoreline collecting a few caches along the way. Arriving at GZ we quickly had this cache in hand. Thanks.

Mr Geckoh was on to this one before Mrs Geckoh had realised we were at GZ. Super quick find on a lovely morning walk along the shore. TFTC

Tide was way out so access to the beach was easy. Nobody around so made a nice quick find. TFTC
The tide was on our side today so we continued our walk along this lovely and quiet stretch of beach. Quickly found this one.
Spotted as we approached, nice to have momentary shade on such a scorcher of a day! TFTC
Out for an afternoon wander with NZ Iceman. This was one of those times where if not for caching I would never have been in this area or have walked along quite as far along the beach...it was awesome!
This was the final green dot that I had along this walkway...nice quick find.
Thanks for the cache.

Thanks for the cache.
After a failed attempt to get to this one last weekend when the tide was too high we planned better this week and came out when the tide was at its lowest.
There were a few muggles walking on the beach but not enough to cause any issues and we had GZ to ourselves.
The cache was quickly spotted and the log signed.
It's always nice to walk along this stretch of beach so thanks stevecoxnz for bringing us back here.

Lockdown levels had finally eased so that we could do some geocaches and I had made an online purchase from a place on the Beachlands-Maraetai road so decided to combine both together for a trip to Pineharbour. Supernanny was keen to keep me company and we parked up and set off for a walk in the brisk wind. Lots of kite surfers around today though the tide was very low. No trouble finding the cache but it took a few minutes more to get our name on the logs. Nice one!
I had seen these new interesting looking caches when they were first published in August .....and was keen to come and find them....
But thought I'd wait until down that way as it is 34 km away!
Then of course Covid and Lockdowns came along so I couldn't cache anyway.
This was our first weekend with relaxed rules....so when Diane mentioned she was heading down this way on an errand I thought great ...maybe we can get these caches too!
First trad after a long drought so to speak!.
Cheers Steve!

Been a hectic week and was planning to go and pick up Nana NZT to take to an appointment this afternoon.
Right when I was supposed to leave this cache release came through. I noted it position and thought that I wouldn't be TOOOOO late to pick up Nana NZT if I attempted this cache.
Made the decision to detour and headed for nearest parking location. The Team SEAC FB page was alight and I knew that B4Dawn was also in transit.
I arrived at the parking location and with no other cars insight made quick pace to GZ. With the rising tide as well I didn't fancy wet feet (even though I had packed a spare set of shoes for this specific reason)
Arrived at GZ and soon found the container. Getting to the log proved fun but eventually I was rewarded with a blank log!!!
After the hectic last few days this was a welcome reward. Signed the blank log and returned the container to its hiding position.
Headed back to the car and still expecting to see B4Dawn. Arrived at the car and with his car not here headed off to Nana NZT.
Driving down Jack Lachlan Drive it suddenly hit me that B4Dawn may have made a fatal "follow the GPS directions" to get as close as possible to GZ.
I messaged B4dawn giving a hint of where he should park. The response I received cannot be printed here He informed me that he had to walk back to his car and head to my recommended parking spot.
Thanks for a great afternoon adventure. Nana NZT wasn't to mad that I was late.....
{FTF} 261 for team NZT!!!!

Gosh, what can I say! Was pondering if I should bother as I live 20kms from cache. However with some encouragement, I dashed out the door. Took googles advice and ended up at the golf course. No matter, I can run 1km, and so I did. About 50m from GZ, I get a txt saying NZT had got it. Gutted! I should have known, seeing the golf course is private land but not knowing the area and my first time to beachlands... I ran back to the car, drove closer to GZ and did another 750m walk. Gutted, Gutted, Gutted. Dreams of my first FTF... congrats NZT, thanks CO for the adventure and a workout!
