Continuing on with my well earned 2 week break and after staying in Rochester, Hay, White Cliffs and now Cunamulla (after my very big detour due to lots of road closures) for the night it was time to get this trip back on track and head to Toompine which in a way is another detour but them the brakes.Starting my trip westerly towards Eulo, Yowah opal fields and eventually Toompine for the night. These series of caches will brake up the drive nicely and people often wonder why it takes me so long to get from A to B.Happy to not be towing the van as I can pull over anywhere I want. After a stop, rest, revive at Eulo it was time to take the right hand turn towards Yowah to continue on and to also find a few opal caches along the way.Maybe I will strike it rich along the way.I made it to the opal fields and there are already a lot of people around due to the Yowah opal festival that is happening on the weekend. Not a welcome but a farewell from me as its time to head to my accommodation for the night. Thanks RoddyC TFTC.
Found on ground in gravel about a metre from sign. Put back where we thought it should go. We found your cache today 5 June 2024 3:24pm , while enjoying another day in our beautiful countryside. TFTC RoddyC
OCW PelDroedGwin and geodog Peppa Spending a few days in lovely Yowah. I overlooked this on the first pass but PDG spotted it quickly. Tftc
Slowly meandering home after attending the Longreach QOGM. Grabbing anything along the way.Out with Di Morgan again today. This time out to Yowah and around the opal fields. Most hides where found after a short search. Loved the different containers and hides. A great view from up here. Thanks for placing the cache and doing the maintenance needed, so we can find this cache.
Cunumulla,We have booked into the caravan park for a few night, to find more of the caches placed for the Cunnumulla QOGM event.Another day caching with Happy Feet. Out trip today took us to Yowah & the opal fields. Ended up at The Bluff with great views over the region. Thanks to all the CO for placing this cache.
The third day of our Outback trip. Today we set off from St George and made our way picking up caches along the bottom LGA’s, up through Yowah and into Quilpie.
Saw an abundance of animals today and lots with babies! Goats, Sheep, Emus, Pigs, Brolgas, Cows, Wedge Tail Eagles and a single lizard. The landscape is flush with colour.

JACS and I had hatched a plan a while back to book leave for a road trip out west and to attend the last QOGM. Today was the second big day St George to Quilpie. I collected more oldies . Did a side trip to Yowah to turn the wee town into all smiles. Lots of animal sightings today. Highlight were brolgas and emus! Very quick find
This cache was found in a location that we find a lot of caches whilst travelling around. Thanks for placing this for us to find.
Heading to Longreach for the last QOGM with Team Crackers, Geoturtle37 and Papi4506.We stopped along the way to pick up a few caches and signed the log as PDGC.(Papi Drovers Geoturtle Crackers)Thanks to all the Co's for making this trip, more enjoyable. Signed and replaced as found.
We are heading up to Longreach for the last QOGM with The Drovers, Geoturtle37 and Papi4506 naturally stopping to grab any caches that come on the map aiming to get as many LGA's as we can.We wish we had a dollar for every welcome to sign that we have visited, we would be able to afford to put a lot more fuel in the car to fo visit more. It's amazing how much the different signs vary form very basic to almost extravaganza and this one fitted somewhere in the middle and the perfect thing to hide a geocache on.We added our acronym befre returning everything as it was.To save room in the log we signed PDGC (Papi Drove Geoturtle Crackers)Many thanks this cache
Quick find on 2 caches here... each with almost as many finds as the other. Decided to combine the logs and just leave the original to avoid confusion. Tftc
Freddo and Team Waldron headed to warmer climes around Broken Hill, Cobar, Bourke, Cunnamulla
and Charleville.
After a cold start in Broken Hill the weather improved once we got further north. Sadly our last night in Broken was wet which, pardon the pun, put a dampener on things.
All up it was a great week away and lots of caches were found with only 3 dnfs.
Thanks to all who placed and maintained their caches. The occasional cache was damaged and we refurbished it and we also left new logbooks as required.

Annual Rogers Clan road trip throughout wherever the map takes up. Initial plan was Beaudesert, Nindigully Pub, Charlotte Plains, Bourke, Lightning Ridge, Walget, Hebel, Dirrabandi, then home. Unfortunately Bourke flooded so we ended up going Beaudesert, Nindigully Pub, Charlotte Plains, Charleville, Quilpie, Thargomindah, Yowah, Cunnamulla, Nindigully Pub home.
We didn't grab every cache, instead targeted selected ones for a reason or just to break up the drive. Thanks to QOGM there's what feels like literally millions.
Ended up finding two caches much to my surprise. I found the first one and was stamping the kids exclaimed they found it. Worked out someone had placed a second one here for some reason. Replaced both, and messaged the owner, however we had left town before it all got worked out.
Cache logs are either stamped, signed with Rogersclan13 or just RC13 for space. Thanks for the cache **RoddyC**

Great Northern escape 2022 Day 172. Cunnamulla Day 7. For my last day in Paroo county, I started with a drive to Yoweh via Eulo and the opal trail. Only one cache required my boots and then I was there and having an early lunch. I took the short way home and set about the two sets of caches I left for today to help with my numbers. First were the puzzles down by the cemetery and then the final Paroo pictures caches. It is great to have done as many caches here as possible given th time and tools I had available.
Most of today's caches were roadside caches with only one or two having a water hazard.
Thanks for the cache RoddyC

Another great find in this interesting little historical town. It’s great to have cash is here to take us to such interesting places. TFTC.
Tftc, drive out to Yowah today.
Nice scenery along the route and a few caches too.
Had a freshly baked scobe still warm from the oven at the Nut Cafe.
Enjoyed the view of the sweeping plains from the Bluff. Magic.
Thanks for bringing us out here.

While staying at Cunnamulla, today we decided to start the caches heading towards Yowah. Leaving at 8:15 we filled up with fuel and headed west. We did not think that it would be a big day looking for some Werigo’s, Traditionals, Puzzle and Earth caches. Well we were very wrong, what a big day we had, some taking a hour to complete and others were either hard to find or hard to work out. All in all we were away for 12 hours caching, but what a great day we both had! The country side is just fantastic and the sunset at Yowah Bluff was going to be great! Yowah showed us another town that opals are mined, but not like other towns where it is very evident to see where they have been scratching/digging the place seemed well laid out.
Cache and contents were in good condition.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

Found during a road trip via Wentworth, Menindie Lakes, Wilcannia, Cobar, Bourke and Cunnamulla to Charleville and back over 10 days, camping out at some great spots along the way. Met up with e.gregory1 at Bourke and we spent the next four days caching around Cunnamulla and out to Eulo, Yowah and Charleville before e.gregory1 headed to Townsville and I retraced my tracks back southwards towards home. Found this cache in the lengthening shadows before camping out at Yowah. Thanks for the cache RoddyC!
Found as I made my way up to the Townsville Mega from Adelaide.
I caught up with FeatherWaite near Bourke and after camping out near Charlotte Plains last night, we headed into Cunamulla to find some of the caches around the town. Later in the day we travelled to Yowah, picking up caches along the way and camping there overnight.
Most of the caches were found without difficulty and were in good condition.
Thanks RoddyC for the cache.

We decided to visit Yowah as we had not been there for some years and find this series of caches along the road in as well as the ones in Yowah. It was an interesting drive with several Dukes of Hazzard type car washes to negotiate after the recent rain. That was fun!
We found all the caches we wanted except one. Thank you to RoddyC for giving us this fun cache to look for in Yowah.

Had a good day caching today with goingplaces2, covering the Adventure Way, including Eulo, Yowah and the wide spaces in between. All found log were signed and replaced. TFTC.
We really loved our day driving up to Yowah. What a unique town, and the opportunity to explore before and after lunch was wonderful. We had a lovely quiet meal at the Blue Wren Cafe, which had space in the shade and a beautiful ambience. After a lovely lunch it was time to collect a few caches and look at some Opals and the fossicking area around here.
Thank you to all who have placed caches here for our pleasure.

The long awaited Opal trail is certainly keeping us on our toes in anticipation of finding at least one elusive Opal.
Fun trail to do with great teamwork from Mr & Mrs Domsky and E_Smiley. When we arrived at Yowah we enjoyed a lovely lunch at the Blue Wren Cafe before looking for the final prior to heading back to Eulo and then on to Cunnamulla.

An early start today and after the mornings event we headed out of town and went west to grab a few caches along the way. A drive to Eulo and then a stop for a little coffee break, after which it was a drive to continue on to a nice trail of caches to Yowah for lunch. A slight detour after lunch out Thargomindah way for an earth cache to then turn around and head back to Eulo to grab dinner before heading back to Cunnamulla. A huge day of caches and a huge day of driving.
Some awesome caches and some really nice scenery along the way, thank you for these caches. We got to experience some of the true outback country. All caches were signed with my new stamper and our team name, thank you for a huge day of caching. Sorry for the generic log but it was a huge day.

Home from Cunnamulla's QOGM which was an awesome experience. Met so many new people and there were lots of laughs every day. Each day we drove at least 100km each way in all sorts of directions, so now that I am home I am unsure which cache is which and which day was which. But I do know that I had a lot of fun finding every single cache in this area. Heaps of appreciation to all the COs involved. Caches were signed as TripleT, Something Catchy or Mavericks.
Today was time to hit the road for the Opal Muster, 2 other groups did not have the files downloaded nor did I as I'm not that clever so we travelled in a 3 car convoy. Had a great time collecting all the caches and the clues.
After a lovely lunch in Yowah collected this one before heading home.
Signed log as T.I.P.E - TMZ59, Imbunda, Patrol14 and Echocage1 then replaced as found. TFTC

Somehow we managed to find this between geocachers visiting after the end of the muster, and found yet another type of hide on these welcome signs. Variety is the spice of life! I liked the structures across the road, too. Found while visiting Paroo Shire for the Queensland Outback Geocaching Muster 2021, with DisSister and Dragonsky. Thanks for hiding and maintaining this cache for us to find and TFTC, RoddyC. =^.^=
Beautiful early start to the day. We were fortunate enough to see a wedge tailed eagle feasting on some roadkill. We played spotto in between caches and worked our way into the tiny settlement of Yowah to enjoy a delicious burger lunch. The views from the bluff were breathtaking. The scenery out here is unlike anything I’ve seen before.
Today we are on the Opal Muster Trail and as there were a few cars left to start, we ended up with a convoy of 2 other cars (they didn't have the GPX files on devices yet).
At each cache it became a race to get to the cache first between EC and Dillon with Heath_71 close behind. Number/letter recorded and off we go again.
