Once I realised this one was not quite the same type hide as the last one, it was spotted pretty quickly. Another MacGyver pen/ green leaf mark on the log.TFTC
Great view of the sea and dark clouds. Enjoying a walk in between showers. Found cache after a short hunt. TFTC.
Normally this hide could have me going around in circles, today I didn't even get a full loop in before finding the cache, tftc
I allocated today as being the day I would try to get the caches near the beach starting from just south of Waihi Beach town to Bowentown. It was pretty obvious where it would be..Cheers for the cache, willbuild.
Noticed these caches so decided to head out of Auckland for the day to see which ones we could find. Walked down this beautiful beach, climbed up the bank and found this nicely hidden cache.
The second of two caches on the beach. This was discretely hidden, taking a little longer to find. T4tC willbuild,Civvnr&MissTreadlightly....(UK) Geocaching.com finds so far 11429
After walking along the cycle way, it has been lovely to go down to the beach to paddle our weary feet in the sea. TFTC
Staying at Bowentown campground. While weather was nice did this cache. Found on the ground. BUT it took ages to get the log out. Need tweezers. When I got it out it looked full. Found a we wee spot to leave my mark. Put back where I found. Not sure it is suppose to be on the ground.
Cute wee one! Again couldn’t write on the type of paper with the pen we had. TFTC.
Working our way down the beach, little one found this before we even had a chance. Log book full. Tftc.
This was a nice little one. Found it on a sunny day without any problems despite the problems which it makes to come up from the beach to the cache site
The log is full, unfortunately we had no sheet of paper with us.
TFNC!

Headed down this way for some RnR with Mrs stik-a-crane and junior cacher, staying at Waihi Beach..... after regrouping at the house for lunch we decided to walk the beach to gather a few more caches......
The cache log was full here.....
TFTC.

A trip over to Waihi beach this afternoon and had time to pick up a couple of caches. Good spot here TFTC
After signing this one off I took a few more steps to see the beach. It must of been a hot day as about 12 people there down below not wearing anything
Beautiful hot sunny day so heading to Bowentown for some swimming and caching. This find didn’t take too long. Thanks for the smiley
Next GC with geodog in training (although she is still looking a little perplexed and unsure of her role). Straight forward find, TFTC.
We made it through the worst of cyclone Hale while camping so celebrated by going caching.
A chance to do these caches and check out the post storm seas. It’s was super sad to see in some places up to 4m less sand dune than two days ago. It was unbelievable.
This was a great find nicely located. Tftc

A gorgeous day and the water looked inviting but I was on a caching mission. Nice quick find at GZ. Thank you for the placement.
There were some fishing muggles heading towards gz, so I did this one on the way back.
Pretty obvious roughly where it was hidden, but it took a fair bit to spot it.
I did wonder if it was going to be a dnf, so was rather relieved when I did see it.
Thanks for putting these caches here, to help make my beach walk even more enjoyable

Out and about about exploring the area today, nice easy find once I looked from the right angle, TFTC
A short stroll from a handy carpark got us to gz. Almost missed it as we were looking at a different height. Counted 9 ships in the distance waiting to get into port!
As others have said there’s only really one spot it can be, took me a second to spot it but it was also relatively easy overall.
Weather is not the best today, but hoping for better later!
Thanks!

Thanks!
At Waihi for 3 days catching up with family!
We drove to Anzac Bay for a wander and a swim...
They didn't mind too much stopping off for these 2 new ones on the drive back!

Nice to come down these tracks to get beautiful views of sea. Amazing weather for end of daylight saving and lucky I had shoes on as I saw a couple of people hopping and walking quickly as the sand was so hot. TFTC
GZ can only be at one spot. Easy find but to retrieve a log was a challenge. Replaced as it should be. TFTC
Grabbed a FTF at the Pancake House on SH2 and then continued on to here to finally get round to finding this cache. Log needed TOTT to extract it but all good. TFTC
Yes we saw the blackened remains of the scrub fire. Took a walk; quite a circular one as it turned out, but the co-ords were spot on. Cache log quite damp but as it was waterproof paper we were able to dry it. However the pen refused to write on it so there are weird bits of lines in a couple of places from our attempts to log. Did take a photo of the log as proof. TFTC
The fire must have happened wires a few years ago, I couldn’t see any visible trace except on the beach marker. TFTC
Great to have some more smilies and also gain points for the mountain challenge. Happy New Year.
I am logging using the Cachly app template so please excuse generic logging along the way. It’s just my way of keeping track, but I do genuinely thank each and every one of you cache owners for taking the time and energy to place these caches. Many Thanks for bringing me here. Cheers.

We planned to head to the beach but expected it to be busy, and most of it was but thanks to this cache we found a spot the was completely deserted. Must be because it is half way between Bowentown and Waihi Beach so no one had spilled over far enough from either place.
The cache was quickly spotted and signed and we then headed down to enjoy the solitude.
Thanks willbuild for bringing us here.

Another super quick find, thankfully as the temperature is rising fast and we were keen to keep moving. TFTC

Found after a bit of a look around. Log wet so tried to put container up the other way. Tftc
Met a couple of people coming back from the beach with 2 fish for their tea. I came back after finding the cache ...so were were all winners! TFTC
1.50pm. Another quick find. Could still smell the evidence of the fire in the scrub.
Thank you. David.
Thank you. David.
Thanks for your amazing cache. I really appreciate the time you took to set up and maintain your caches.
Found with Fisha1288
Only the lone ranger waiting to berth.
Nice tidy new cache.
Cheers, Cympull.

A nice walk along the beach at high tide then a steep scramble up the dunes which ,y ankle does not enjoy. A nice little cache.
Slightly beyond GZ by my dodgy GPS but the only possible place. These containers seem to getting popular. TFTC.
A nice tidy cache in an area that deserves a cache...this is a wonderful stretch of beach many thanks Willbuild
Out and about up this way again today so detoured here to find this cache. Looked out to see how many ships were anchored waiting to get into port. Only one today. Thanks for the placement Willbuild.
found with Squirrel Nutcase on our travels.
logging first but not claiming FTF at this stage.
unreadable red ink smug on log which might be someone logging.
anyway hint and co.ords spot on.

With Gap (of Fap and Gap)… One of us had work in the Cook’s Beach/Hahei area. We decided to clear out some local caches and others while on the drive to and from home…
This cache was published yesterday, but no logs had appeared online. We visited to take a look today. The hide was straight forward and in the only place that matched the hint. A smudged stamp indicated that someone else may have beaten us to be first. Who knows?
There were lots of ships moored offshore… A stunning day in the Bay. Thanks willbuild and TFTC.
