Out on the dunstan trail today finding a cache or two, this was a quick find here with the hint. Thanks for the placement and the smiley
Out and about enjoying the hidden gems of our country. On a lovely sunny but cool Central Otago day making the most of the Kings Birthday Monday. TFTC enjoying the changes that have happened over the last 20 years.
Nice easy find as we approach the end of our ride and we can start thinking about something to eat in Cromwell.TNLN. TFTC.
No luck for us today. A really obvious place to hide a cache was empty. We expanded our search and found a couple of other likely spots but left empty handed.
Loving the Dunstan cycle trail with rebel98.
Another fun find vthe sun is shining, we are zipping along on the bikes, stopping to take a few pictures along the way.

Thanks for your amazing cache. I really appreciate the time you took to set up and maintain your caches. Cheers, Cympull.
We were cycling the Dunstan trail from Cromwell to Clyde, and stopped to find some caches along the trail. A quick find here and a morning tea snack and we were back on our bikes. TFTC
The trail in this general area is nice and wide and not too hilly. Something to my likening. Thanks
Although the trail was very close to the road, getting down to it looked as if it would be tricky for a couple of geriatrics, so we continued to the car park, and walked back from there to a quick easy find. TFTC
We went to an excellent string quartet concert in the Bannockburn Hall that finished at 19.30.
It was a beautiful sunny evening so cycled back to Alexandra picking up all our remaining caches on the Dunstan Trail. Highlight was seeing the rising moon over Leaning rock gradually being nibbled away by the earth's shadow on the way to a total eclipse.

How do I get down there? Taking jandals off, it was easier than I thought. Easy quick find, have never been over this side before.
The fog has lifted! So, well wrapped up, we are out for an afternoon bike ride. Mr D put his hand on this straight away.
Biked the Lake Dunstan trail just six days ago. That was with muggle friends which didn’t enable me to stop to look for caches. As I’m still in the area I decided to bike half the distance today and then return to my starting point at the Bannockburn Inlet. The primary purpose was to pick up perhaps six or seven caches.
As it turned out, I located 11 caches along the trail. I set out early to “best the rush”. It was a superb day weather-wise with great views of the autumn colours. Fortunately most of the caches were reasonably quick finds, as was this one. #4927. TFTC.

Out on an unexpectedly sunny day. The weather forecast was for rain this morning but its sunny. Out to complete the Lake Dunstan Trail from Cromwell to Clyde. First real go on ebikes so not sure how it will go. First time on a bicycle for many years. Have been practicing gear changing and changing speed over the 13km to this cache. Gaining confidence as we go. Nice hide thanks wombats.
Glad to find this one after not spotting the last one. All good here thanks wombats_4
Nice easy find..but why is it when stop to do a cache ...every one seems to turn up ...muggles every where lol ..thanks Wombats_4
Since it was such a lovely day decided to do some of the trail again.
And clean up a few caches.
Cheers

On a trip south from Tauranga. Been cycling around with Dee+ME and our muggle hubbys. What a fabulous day decided to bike back out to the floating cafe. Just awesome scenery. Love it down here.
I am logging using the Cachly app template so please excuse generic logging along the way. It’s just my way of keeping track, but I do genuinely thank each and every one of you cache owners for taking the time and energy to place these caches. Logged with permission. Many Thanks for bringing me here. Cheers.

We walked back to this one from the carpark at the end of Cairnmuir Road after seeing our daughter off on the Lake Dunstan trail. TFTC.
Once again JD made the find.
This cache was found on our second summer campervan trip. JDScout and I plan to do three this summer. This trip is from Christchurch to Bannockburn to the Catlins and back.
Thanks for hiding this cache wombats_4 I appreciate it. It has helped add an extra layer of fun in our holiday.

Found with Tregearp during a short trip to the region completing the new Dunstan Trail and also the Roxborough Gorge Trail. Both highly recommended - despite the aches, pains and sore butt from not having done any training. Caching makes a great reason for stops to give the body a break. All in good order. Signed log and replaced as found. Thanks wombats_4 for cache.
For years we drove the road from Dunedin to Arrowtown, coming up for both winter and summer holidays. I'd look over at the old miners trails and always be keen to explore them one day. Today SJT_NZ and I tackled the Dunstan trail, stunning and a stinking hot CO day to boot. With copious sun block and what proved to be not quite enough water we enjoyed some lovely down hills and some slow and steady switch backs. Grateful for the stops for caches along the trail, thanks to the CO'S for placing.
Thanks I like how you know where to stop on your bike ride based on the name of the cache.
A lovely day to be able to bike this new track today.

M found after looking for quite a while. It was very well tucked back and he would never have found it if he had not put his head right down to look in. It is not quite as bad now. This whole bank is so picturesque, just like a well-maintained garden. It has purple thyme, blue forget-me-nots, yellow and orange poppies, yellow gorse or broom up the hill, rose hips and a tiny orange flower.
We figured out where the cache would be on the approach and sure enough that’s exactly where it was. Tftc.
Today Injeanious and I cycled from Cromwell to Alexandra along the new bike trail. We had a great time and found lots of caches along the way. I could almost grab this one from my bike, tftc!
6. cache today. All good.
Found on the crazy trip from Luggate to Alexandra to meet 2 friends, to find some caches around, to sweat a lot of energy.

Quick find today while heading out on the Lake Dunstan trail. Thanks Wombat for the cache
Out with BaldEd cycling the newish Cromwell to Clyde cycle/walking trail. What an amazing ride.
Soon had it in hand.
Cheers for the cache.

Out today with brother Tufty cycling the new Dunstan Trail from Cromwell to Clyde. This was our fourth cache target of the day. Nice quick find. Thanks for the cache wombats 4.
A cyclist that had passed me earlier was looing very bewildered to see me standing on the side of the track again here but was too polite to say anything. He was soon out of sight leaving me to complete the admin and replace the cache. Got a surprise to see the name of a cacher from home first on the log sheet - that always seems strange so far from home. These two new caches along here are perfect for a challenge I'm working towards so thank you very much. TFTC # 17,635
What a surprise to get a FTF while on a road trip from Nelson enjoying the fantastic biking trails around Central Otago and picking up a few caches along the way. Today we were doing the Dunstan Trail and randomly chose this cache as an easy one to do. Imagine my surprise when I open the cache to find a clean log and no previous finds. Wahoo, that's the first for a while but I'll take it . TFTC wombats_4.
