Found 23 Nov 2024 at 2:34:47pmAfter the GPT100 Miler was cancelled earlier on today, we were no longer required for aid station duties so we begun to head home but I noticed this trail of hides, so Misthills and I decided on a small diversion before heading home. Some unique and interesting hides along here, so kudos from me.Many thanks to Duntulum for placing Breeze Walk for us all to find. Find 5310 on October 13, 2024 Found while on weekend get away without the kids (wow). Today was our last day in Halls Gap before heading home. So we had to do a few more caches that was doable with the camper in tow. This was a cracker trail for incentive caches. A good laugh at nearly every hide. Wish I had more FP to give out. All is well with the cache. TFTC Duntulum
I came to stay at Halls Gap in the Grampians for the October Long Weekend with my family. We found a lot of caches. Thanks
I have been staying in Halls Gap in the Grampians for the Long Weekend with TT016, PrincessAria1 & Little Goose. I had been keen to do this walk while here so with daylight savings now in place it was not too late to start this walk.It was a lovely walk with some great caches, some even gave us a giggle. We saw some kangaroos (one hopped up behind my granddaughter and freaked her out. She eventually calmed down). There was lots of birdlife too. I was disappointed I did not see any koalas during our stay. Where have the Koalas gone??First one found, signed and replaced as found, now onto the next one.TFTC and the little trail, Duntulum
Decided to compete this series got a Nice quick find and traded some SWAG. TFTC find 360 thanks Duntulum for this cache
Making the most of a bit of sun...and the need to walk off an ice cream, never been in this spot so good chance to explore
We headed out of town a little to pick this one up before grabbing a few on the way back.. a nice little walk along the track although increasing drizzle limited us to just 1 of the series. Thanks Duntulum.
Our first for today, micaparamedic put his hand where he couldnt see and found the cache.Venturing to Halls Gap on this wet and windy day with micaparamedic and Sol de lune today, we signed the logs MMS.Thanks for placing the cache Duntulum.
Up to Halls Gap with McLookers and micaparamedic for the event, with a few caches beforehand. A wet walk in along the trail however caches were found and the log soon signed, as MMS.Thanks for this one Duntulum.
With our original weekend plans falling apart, it turned out that a day trip to Halls Gap for an event would be a viable alternative. Joining forces with The Tritonz, we set off after breakfast collecting a few caches along the way. When we saw a couple of new caches had been published, we headed straight there, where Mr Tritonz and Ms Chook donned their raincoats and headed off along the trail. It had been raining heavily by the time we returned to the start of this trail and found this cache, but our spirits were high after all the fun caches we had found along it. A nice quick find by Chunk here. TFTC Duntulum.
Found on a wet windy cold day. Grabbed this one before getting too wet. Will be back for the others along the trail another day TFTC
Took me a little while to find this trail. What a lovely little spot.Cache is found safe and sound
Out in the PeuGEOt today with little littlecogs cache hunting in the Stawell/Halls Gap area.TFTC
Had planned on doing the caches on this track yesterday as they looked like fun but ran out of time. After visiting the zoo we parked at the start of the track, unloaded the bikes and headed off.A quick find at GZ of this first one. Thanks Duntulum.
unfortunately we couldn't find it but we were all hot and bothered and probably could've looked for longer...
Walked around GZ until I spotted a few potential hiding spots, one of which contained the treasure.
Staying in Halls Gap, we decided to walk down to the local pub, tempted by both the nearby caches and the food and beverages. Of the four caches found pre-pub, this one gave us the most trouble. We searched in all the logical places, but Muggle Husband did when not look hard enough on his side of the track. He was keen to call a DNF, but I would not be beaten and found the cache when I looked where he claimed to have mounted a thorough search. We got there in the end. Great spot for a cache.
Back 'home' after our traditional pre-walk pub meal in town, I decided to have a shot at this one by torchlight. The almost pitch black conditions had me going for a while but I eventually homed in on the prize at 21:35. TNLNSL, although our night cache geocoin had a visit to mark the occasion. Thanks Duntulum.
Find No. 4406. Found at 3.55pmA caching trip to Stawell, Lake Lonsdale and Halls Gap. Went in the car and tookGeodog Penny with us who enjoyed her day out.A short walk down the track to locate this one.TFTC Duntulum
Nice quick find on the way to Ararat to camp a couple of nights.
Thanks Duntulum for another cache.
Thanks Duntulum for another cache.
Also a nice quick breeze ride. Well hidden but fortune favours the brave. Thanks again: Took arnie the travelling pooch for Olympia and Leo!
Enjoyed a nice walk along this track with cache owner today when he hinted to me that I should be looking out for ‘something’ soon. Sure enough, there was a cache very nearby. Soon had it in hand.
Great easy walk with dozens of different fungi species to be spotted along the track. Thanks for showing us this lovely location Duntulum

A trip to The Grampians was the first activity on our son's agenda when he & his partner returned to Australia for a visit after 7 years in the UK.
Today was the day, together we made our way via a cache dotted route to Halls Gap. Yes, wildflowers are just starting to show their color.
Thanks to Duntulum for placing caches such interesting locations.

Today is the first day of our Victorian getaway. We are heading to Ballarat to get a new roof on our motor home so have taken a weeks holiday and will visit a few places about the state whilst we are at it. Apart from a long drive from Naracoorte to Adelaide via Horsham Christmas 2020 this is our first time in Victoria since before Covid. We did plan a similar trip last year but was cancelled due to second wave lockdowns.
So it’s good to be back! I stopped for a few caches on the way to Halls Gap our first overnight stop and this was one of them.
Quick find on the way into Halls Gap very Jurassic Park today TFTC Duntulum

my gps misled me the other day and i clearly didnt have my caching brain switched on - thanks Duntulum for the tip, and thanks for the cache!
While heading to Horsham today hoping for fine weather we took a few detours to grab some unfound caches in interesting locations.
Walked along the path through the trees admiring nature as we zoned in on the cache.
Thanks Duntulum for the placement.

Thanks for a nice little walk, very pretty scenery. Found after a short search, not in the first place I checked. Removed the lollies and signed the log, tftc
Traveling between Ballarat and Halls Gap today. Checked into the caravan park at Halls Gap then unloaded the deadly treadly for caches around Halls Gap.
A lovely day for drive and ride.
The first of what turned out to be several short walks on path's I hadn't seen before around Halls Gap.
Thanks for not putting all bisons on these caches.
Thanks, Robmc.

Thanks for showing this lovely area. Never would have noticed this track hidden away.
This is the second time the Donutholes family has escaped the hustle and bustle of Geelong and set ourselves up in Halls Gap. We just sat back, chillaxed and just enjoyed quality time together. I like to visit Halls Gap because of the geocaching, bush walks and fresh air, my wife likes to visit Halls Gap to let her hair down and chill and my children like to visit Halls Gap because of the ice cream and the zoo.
Kids have gone to bed for the night so I ducked out to collect a few smiley faces. My gps was all over the shop in this one and spent most of my time looking in a different spot. I expanded my searching area and soon had cache in hand. Where does this path lead to??
Cheers

A nice easy track this morning before it got too hot. Who'd even know this was here? Where does it lead? Cache took a bit of searching, nice bit of scrub. Thanks
Found with LittleBoss2 on a beautiful day around Halls Gap. We walked and sometimes bush bashed to a lot of caches today on our way from Bendigo to here. So many amazing views today, making us feel so grateful to live in Victoria.
Our thanks to Duntulum once again

Heading off to Halls Gap for a couple of days with Bogonghazy. Quick detour. Easy find. Thanks for placing the Geocache
Found with FUF009.
My 1st chance to get out of the City and I took some leave. It was also my birthday on the Friday.
We had initially planned to go camping but the weather wasn't so hot so day trips it is! And actually this was a great day trip. I love the countryside and the open road.
This weekend felt "normal" again after so long apart and in various lockdowns.
After a huge day 2 days ago, we'd had a day of rest and are back at it again today.
My 1st foray into this area and I was intrigued, worried about my fitness, entralled by the views and range of terrain and variety of features.
I found several points of interest but would really struggle here with some of the long hikes. My fitness was never amazing but lockdown has added several kilos and reduced any stamina I might have once had.
No problem finding. My foot started hurting on the way back to the car from this cache. Discovered I had stood on a stick that had gone right through my shoe and was poking my heel but hadn't broken the skin.

Found with sharkiefan
We headed over Halls Gap way as sharkiefan had never been here before.
So with a small number of caches on our list for the morning and some sight seeing thrown in while at Halls Gap, we were in for a great day.
Despite the rain while we were in Halls Gap we managed to keep relative dry and still had a good time, even checking out one of my fav lookouts.
Our short list of caches became quite the long list of finds by days end, as sharkiefan realised a milestone was getting quite close, and we could make it there with the caches on offer.
So with sharkiefan navigating after lunch, we criss crossed the countryside making interesting finds and seeing some cool sights.
A quick grab, once we found the way in..... must remember to put child waypoints on GPSr.

This took longer than it should have as we missed it on the way it. Aimless searching took us back to where we first looked! Got it! Ha ha. Thanks for the cache

We returned home early from our yearly get away trip and have been rewarded with a few FTF's. It was a lovely walk along the creek who would have known that this little gem was here. The cache was quickly spotted by hubby and the joy of it all is that we were the first to place our names into the log book.
