Had a day picking up caches on the way to an overnight stay with my youngest niece & her partner in Nuriootpa. All caches were found in good condition unless mention in log. TFTCClever hide.
Found during a caching day around Lyndoch and Nuriootpa in the Barossa Valley on my way to an overnight stay in the mallee. Having solved the puzzle a while ago, and muggled out by nearby campers on a previous visit, it was very rewarding to return today for the search and find on a cleverly constructed cache. Thanks for the puzzle and cache Geopenta!
I had solved this puzzle long before arriving here today. Knowing the type of caches this CO likes to hide I had a feeling it was going to be different. Arriving at GZ it did not take long to spot the cache.Mrs SnappyTomCats & I spent the day finding caches. puponyx came along too. It was a great day. We did not get a huge total but it was spending time between good friends that made the day perfect.TFTC Geopenta
We arrived in Greenock yesterday and noticed this mystery not far away. The only thing I know about the puzzle topic is recognising what it is, after that it was all up to MrG. This morning we went to find the cache. We thought it would have to be a good hide to survive here. It's better than good, it's awesome! TFTC Geopenta.
Starting to head home and a couple of stray one's to get on this side of the highway. An interesting hide.TFTC
Loved solving this one and to top it off a very well constructed cache. Gets a FP. Tftc
We are travelling with Pprass and have set up in Greenoch where we will camp for a couple of days.As this was 63 m from camp and the puzzle had been solved for this trip, it was the second thing we did once we were set up.Thanks for contributing to a fun day out Geopenta
Found at 12:11 PM in the company of The Morris.Set up camp at the Greenock Reserve and found that we were just 56 metres away from this cache. Wondered over and put my hand on the actual cache camo, but thought it was an item not to be messed with. So went around looking for other possibilities, but came back and then had a proper go at it - great job which put a smile on our faces Thanks to Geopenta
Out and about caching and yes had to stop and find the cache. Took a while but eventually found. TFTC
Our last full day staying around Gawler and only caching in the morning so to be out of the hot time of the day. Thanks for your puzzle.
Now that weve finished the Barossa grape series it was time to get back amongst civilisation and find any cache along our way. This was one of themTFTCI really enjoyed this puzzle and at GZ we were walking around and around until I got Mr dimor to check something and I was right, thought about it the first pass but was iffy if it was or not.Awarding a fav point as a good cache
GC9HMEA Pohgee PahrooDown in Adelaide from Brisbane for the leap year mega. After arriving today we headed north east to our accommodation in Waikerie grabbing caches along the way.To save space in the logs we have signed as BOLD7 I instantly was drawn somewhere and after a bit of fiddling we had the log in hand. TFTC Geopenta
Another cache collected on the BOLD07's way to Waikerie. Cherry picking caches on route and the puzzle was of interest and definitely left field, some where near long on. Very familiar with the positions on the boundary as thats where I was posted during my cricketing days. Not sure the reasoning the Capt sent me to filed there. Maybe because the deodorant wasn't capable of masking the smell, or the Capt didn't like me or maybe cause I was hopeless at fielding. All was forgiven after running out a few batters and taking some speckie catches as I was eventually promoted to field close to the bat in positions like silly mid on, short leg. Again the same reasoning comes to mind. Well all good as I survived my cricketing days before helmets were mandatory. Thanks for the memories Geopenta.
Continuing with the South Australian caching tour and the mad collection of caches in the state. There is so much to do and in such close proximity. Today it was leaving Adelaide and venturing north through Gamber and then a little east to grab caches in Waikerie to start the onslaught on the bike series of caches and locals. There is always time for one more cache and that seemed to be the theme for the road trip today. We left the airport and started our trip. Some great variety of caches today and some fun along the way. We got to see a huge moon a rising with some awesome pics. Thanks to all the COs for the hides and caches we found today, awesome caches. Caches were signed BOLD 7
With our group BOLD7 entertaining ourselves as we head north to explore the country. Fab day collecting all sorts including some well preserved oldies. Thanks to the SA cachers for awesome variety of caches.
What a great day of caching to start our week leap day mega trip. Lots of fun we had. Signed with BOLD7.
How very exciting the big trip has finally arrived! Down from Brisbane with a host of other geo friends with plans aplenty, enough to almost see us needing to extend or make a return visit. Our geonick for the trip is BOLD7 which is guaranteed to save the log paper for the 7 individual members of the team. As we make our way around sadly there wont be time for the usual individual logs and therefore just the old generic log will have to do. With little extra notes here and there if needed. Thank you for your cache which has added to my wonderful caching holiday.
Found by Mary and David at 13:10. In the area for a few days to see our eldest grandchildren. We came to the park here to see grandson playing cricket for Tanunda against the local team. Realised that this cache was close by, so a short break from spectator duties, and soon spied the likely hide. Yes, that was it. Well done, and a FP. Our thanks to Geopenta.
Great cache. I enjoyed the puzzle too as there are not too many I can work out.Tftc
Caravan trip to the Riverland. Day 11, Greenock.Goid puzzle we solved a while ago. Today we're camping in the area, so we went for a walk while it was quiet. There's not many options at GZ, so other options were discounted quickly. We're not fans of fiddling with stuff that looks like infrastructure, but we gave it a spin and came up trumps.TFTC
Travelling Australia in our caravan since February 2014.Moving today from Sedan to Greenock. Once the van was dropped off we hit the road to try and find some caches nearby. Spring is in the Air, lots of flowers and the crops are looking almost ready!Pulled up alongside and Mrs F spotted the cache, retrieval left to Mr F of course. TFTC Geopenta
Another locus find despite her sidekick saying that won't be it. Gets a fp from me. TFTC Geopenta.
A Geo Day with pineapplegoldy in the Nuriootpa, Angaston and Greenock regions! What glorious weather to go with it, whilst clocking up cache finds and working towards other challenge goals and milestones!

After pulling in to camp for the night, we looked at nearby caches and saw this. What should have been a quick solve took a lot longer as ours ended up being 'cover point'
A great little hide too

After attending a maker magic event in Gawler Mrs Peas headed out to Greenock with Jolly0 and sandelf to clean up some straggler caches in and around the area. This one almost got past us but Jolly0 worked out how to retrieve it from the place where I said it would be. TFTC Geopenta
TYFC out to meet monthly challenge out with Peas&CarrotsForever, Jolly0 thanks you geopentta
Southern Autumn adventure Day 39. Mid North section of SA trip Day 10. Barossa Valley Day 2. The direction for today was Angaston. I was distracted by the markets first and then made it to Angaston. I started with a few caches around town and then hit the bike trail on my scooter to finish the caches back to where I left off the other day. The rest of the day was spent caching between Angaston, Tanunda and Nuriootpa, picking up what I was able to until I hit my daily count for this trip.
I had gone out to Greenok to do the LAB series at this oval, so as I had a bit of time spare, I had a look at this puzzle. I had to use a few different sites to get some of the answers to match your picture, but in the end I found some numbers and the neighbors were not home, so I was able to make a find in an object I was not at all sure of at first.
Thanks for the cache Geopenta

Went to calculated location, examined the structures, and only found a dead rat. Thanks geopenta
I didn't have any internet to check other logs, DNF's, etc, so I drove into town main street. Still no internet. Noticed lots of favourite points, so got me thinking about something at gz. Came back and found a well disguised cache using fantastic camo. Well done, geopenta and another favourite point for you.
Bowerbird to Glenrock
Camping for a couple of nights at the reserve.
After setting up we thought we would commence the Barossa Series. After doing a few we realised that the roads were too wet to complete them as we had already came upon a bogged car.
This was the closest to where we were camped. Like many others had to google the players position.
Once at GZ we found a very well constructed cache deserving of a FP.
Thankyou to the CO's for placing these caches.

The adventures of Sparkie and Goldy continue, this time caching around the Virginia, Two Wells, Dublin, Gawler and Nuriootpa area.
We also swung past the Geostuff store which was a major highlight.
A good day with a total of 17 caches for the day for this pineapple.
I had solved the puzzle in hopes of finding it on the international geocaching day weekend last August but was running late so had to miss it.
Sparkie and I pondered over an object for a minute before deciding to go for it. Always hard to know with these ones.
Thanks Geopenta for this mystery cache, which brings Goldy's total find count to 2923 on the 13th of April 2023.
I have hosted quite a few CITO's in my time, making huge differences thanks to the people who came along!
Whether you're out finding caches or just taking a stroll somewhere, remember to always be CITO-ing to help maintain our parks and reserves!

The Epic Road Trip with OzHockeyChick has now entered a new phase “No More On Your Bike”. After a huge and tiring day yesterday finishing off the western section, it’s a far more relaxed day today exploring and doing a little more sight seeing.
We moved back and forth initially discounting the cache until we considered it had to be. Sure enough it was.
Thanks Geopenta for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to enjoy.

We enjoyed a day driving around the Barossa, finding some well thought-out caches
Thanks for the great finds
Thanks for the great finds
We had to consult our favourite source of information to get the positions right for this one. Then we left camp and went for a walk with ilook4geo for all of 25 metres to find the good looking outer container. Open it and signed the log. Most of the muggles around were hibernating out of the cold wind. Thanks for this puzzle and placement go to Geopenta. Favourite point for the well constructed cache.
Solved this one with some internet help and made a quick find of a different kind of cache container. Thanks for placing one so close to our camp. Fav point added.
Great cache. Thanks. Used some info that had a slight variance. A nudge from the CO got me on track. Cache quickly found after relooking at numbers. Tftc.
Finally some sunshine after rain and howling gales. Off to Greenock to try for a couple of caches and maybe visit a winery
We were able to solve this one and headed to GZ. About 11 vans nearby but the find was easily made undetected.
A great hide and a puzzle we could actually solve means another favourite point of course.
Many thanks for this beauty Geopenta

We were in the area today, on holiday from Melbourne. Being a fan we were able to solve the puzzle 'on the go'. Jmelb walked to Gz while I drove from another cache. At Gz JMelb quickly found the well constructed cache. Thanks Geopenta

Mr TheMoules was able to solve the puzzle to give us the final coordinates for this mystery. We walked round and round in circles at the final location. Then on closer inspection we noticed something a little odd. We tested our theory and came up with the geocache container in hand. So well made! A fav point! Thanks for creating this!
Out on another chilly morning with iluvtrekking gathering finds before our departure from the Barossa on Sunday. Must admit we are no authorities on this subject but with a nudge from previous finder we found the required source. Nice hide thanks Geopenta
Another cache found with richlink on our 2022 South Australian Adventure.
Out and about on a chilly morning around Nuriootpa picking up a few straglers as we go. Once we accessed the correct resource we soon had the information we required. Another great cache from Geopenta.

Out today tagging and tidying up some caches on our map. This had been solved for ages and had remained on our map. Knowing the calibre of hides that the CO produces, we knew it wasn't going to be ordinary...we wern't disappointed. Seriously going through Favourite points the more we find of his... TFTC
Found It!
I solved this one quite a while ago now and have since made a few visits to GZ only to find it packed with campers. Today I visited on a Friday morning and the place was not so busy. Then after a short search, I found the very well constructed cache!

A few weeks ago I discovered that my port keg was emptier than I thought. Cue a trip to the Barossa to get some port, tokay, muscat and some caches as well. All up a collection of trades, puzzle, multi-storey and labs were found, including this one. I though all the grey nomads camping in the vicinity would make this hard to retrieve, but that wasn’t the case. TFTC
Found this one, with someone friends cricket advice was able to have the awesome cache
Apologies for the late log.
Found with CPwanderer and JJ52 on a warm day.
A puzzle that I knew how to solve straight away.
At GZ we spotted what we thought was the cache but it was so well constructed that we were wrong.
After some more effort it turned out we were correct.
A favourite from me for the puzzle and the cache.

I had organised to meet up with CPwanderer and Gizmo's Gang to find a few caches around Tanunda and Nuriootpa. Most were puzzles that I had solved with a few trads and multis thrown in. After CP's list was completed we went our separate ways and I continued on in the heat getting a few more smilies before heading home. [^]
I really enjoyed solving this puzzle and also enjoyed finding the cache. We all looked and thought it was the cache, but discounted it before making more of an effort...then were rewarded with the log.

After completing the Adventure Lab we were walking around the park taking in all the caravaners. For $5 a night who wouldn’t want to stay here? The toilets are so clean you can eat off the floor but it would take me a lot of money to do so.
We found the cache or what we thought it was. After turning off the water supply to the park, the sewerage supply to the park and some gas that either supply’s the township or the entire region we also found a cracking hide. Favourite point awarded for the hide. tftc

We have spent a couple of nights with Honeysucker and now are heading down towards Adelaide to do a few caches and catch up with Goodlook picking up caches close to the road as we go.
.We were hoping that we would be able to cross the border this year and in anticipation we solved a few puzzle that we knew we would be driving near and this was one of the easier ones. so today we came down to see if we could actually find the cache and to our surprise Diane spotted it straight away although we did open it gently just in case of a mistake.
We were very happy when we could say that our name has now been added to the log.

Found on a day trip to Gawler and the northern Barossa with Bob From Elsewhere.
After the storms a couple of days ago, I expected to see some damage around the area, but it must have been a bit further south as everything looked pretty good.
Gee it was busy here today, with the area full of caravanners and a well-attended cricket match happening nearby. However, we were able to find, retrieve and replace the cache without attracting attention.
Thanks Geopenta for the puzzle and the cache.

Much to like here.
Cats don't know cricket that much.
This one sat through a one day match at the SCG once. Thought the most exciting thing was the crowd doing mexican waves!
Played once for the school too. Once was enough for the team, and although we won I was never invited back LOL.
But google knows cricket, and for that we are grateful!
I've certainly learned a thing or two. Not as stumped as I was when I first opened the cache page!
And you forget - until you shine your torch around - that it's a popular place for caravans to stay over. Luckily their owners seemed to be asleep. With cat-like tread we snuck upon the GZ...
As most know, I'm not a fan of mint tin caches. So luckily I could give this cache a Fav point
Purrfect Di agreed. Nicely done.
A puzzle that didn't start a drinking problem, and a quality hide. [:o)]
tftc Geopenta . Look forward to your next ones

Most Geocaches are located and logged using some or all of the resources of GSAK (Geocaching Swiss Army Knife), Garmin Montana 750i, Montana 680t, Etrex 35, Samsung S20+, Samsung S9, with Geocaching App, c:Geo, or Geooh Go, and Android Auto and other maps... or often with just plain old dumb luck!
---
Please do stay safe when caching.
Lookout for mud, snakes, surprise cliffs, wild goats, wombats, bulldust, and lightning,
try not to get tetanus from rusty mint tins... but especially lookout for bugs. [xx(]
Make sure Travel Bugs are the only bugs you share and pass on
We really appreciate all those placing quality caches out and about especially away from the city crowds,
it keeps our game safe, fun, and interesting

Another Wednesday Wandering for some members of the Befuddled Puzzle Solving Group. We gathered at the Lyndoch and myself, Blackadders and S.A. Sewer Rats headed out for a day of caching in and around the Barossa Except for 2 DNF's (Damn the list is growing again) we managed to find all we looked for. We were last moth and yet there were five new puzzles solved to look for. As usual there were a few laughs, a picnic lunch and these are the caches we found [B)]
The puzzle was a very quick solve when it came out. [^] A short search around the obvious structures at GZ revealed nothing. Could only be one thing then.......and it was. Very clever hide that gets a FP from me. [:X]
Only one of the three goals from last year achieved. So once again trying and fill my calendar with multi-caches and complete loop 11 again this year. [^] For my third goal I will try and get my DNF numbers from over fifty to single digits. That should keep me busy again this year! [:o)]
***Thanks Geopenta for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. ***
Logs prepared and published through GSAK.

A trio of Geo-Animals went out for a Wednesday Wander.
The trio consisted of a Rat, A Snake and a Starfish.
Today we decided to wander around the Barossa.
I saw the puzzle, set to solve the puzzle.
Luckily I know somethings about cricket.
Quickly solved the puzzle.
Got a green tick.
We arrived at GZ, Parked the blue Geo mobile.
A quick search of the area, we all arrived at the same spot.
On closer inspection , The Starfish found the cache.
We all stamped the logbook and returned the cache as found.
Awarding a fave point. TFTC

Another of the Wednesday wanderings for the befuddled. Targeting new hides in the area and a number that were still to be found by the Starfish. This did need some research to find the fielding positions. The Adder had heard these terms but not being a cricket fan the positions were not obvious. A great effort of the hide though. Thank you for the placement of the Pohgee Pahroo cache Geopenta find number 8520 on 27 October 2021 at 10:11 am
By the time I realised the date, and needed a FTF on it, the closer to home ones were gone.
I went passed an Adders one that I couldn't get a tick on (turns out I had the right method, but puzzle was incorrect!) So I headed here..
Nice lil puzzle, but even better hide.. gotta love that workshop of the CO! lol
Dropped my *FTF* geocoin through for a visit too.
TNLNSL
Thanks
