Thanks pommieparkin2 for placing He ain't Heavy, He's my brother. Swampy and I headed back to plunder more of the Northern coast over the Hobart Show long weekend. 4 day long weekend for 1 days annual leave. Sweet. This is day 2. Devonport and surrounds. At least my log is not full of bad 80s references. This run has us finding both GC and GCA caches. So many caches, so little time. This is my GC find #2146 and was found on 25/10/2024 at 15:04FTF: Found with: SwampyWeather: fairMuggles: noneLight level: goodCache condition: goodDistance from GZ: Your cache was visited by my trackables: TB9QQD2, TB9KZ39 and TB7HH81
Hi pommieparkin2. Today we found your cache on the Devo trip for the year. VK7HCH and I hatched yet another plan to whip it up to the north to continue our plundering of caches both GC and GCA. As there are so many caches in this area we had freedom of choice to do those we wished to. We have solved a few puzzles so we can find those and lots of others. Although I didnt find the girl U want, the caches were enough. Its a beautiful world here in Tassie. Thanks for hiding the cache for us to find today. Finding this cache takes my GC finds to 5200 and I found it on Friday 25 Oct 2024FTF: NoMates: VK7HCHMuggles: Condition: GoodWeather: slightly cloudyMy favorites:Creative - Back to the future 1 by peaches (GCA5JYD)Hardest - Men in Black Holes by SG-3 (Archived)Most visited - Dragons Lair by Shagzter (GC2E33)Tractable also visited your cache

Tasmania Trip Day 3. I was really happy to make the overnight crossing to Tasmania without any issues at all. The slight rolling did not even tip me out of bed. Getting up in time to disembark around 5.45 am was the only challenge, but I did get to visit two caches in the dark before breakfast. I spent quite a bit of the morning caching around Devonport and along he waterfront before circling out a bit to find the four counties on offer before I started along to Burnie, which was a lot closer than I realised. I visited a few interesting locations and then got set up at my accommodation in Burnie. It is supposed to be a heat wave, but it seems pretty cool here to me.It was still pretty dark and even with the torch this one took quite a bit of finding. I greeted a few people walking past as I looked and when I did see it, I was pretty relieved. Thanks for the cache pommieparkin245796.2 TNLNVisited: World Traveling Gold GC A#6 & 2009 NT Uluru Gold A#150**Albida**
Was out fishing in the area and thought I would find this cache and turn it into a smile! Thanks for the cache
After Parkrun did some grocery shopping and then we had to shift camps over to East Devonport. We had omelettes for lunch and then headed out for a walk to collect some more of this series. It was 1.2km from where we parked to the furthest cache but somehow the walk ended up being 4km there and back .Pretty pleased to find most of the caches just one dnf for today. This one took longer to find than it should have done but we got there in the end TFTC

Thanks for the cache pommieparkin2.
A nice one that was found in the first area I looked. Thanks for adding to the caches in the area.

Not the quickest find that I was expecting but the coordinates kept me in one area and the gold bison was right there.
Thanks
Thanks
Found with The X-Trailers on way to a walk along the coast. Quick find by The X-Trailers. TFTC
Found, stamped and replaced, with Maggie and Mollie, my GeoWesties, while roaming around Tasmania with our motorhome “Mylittlebus” looking for content for our TASMANIA ALL OVER facebook. Join us there. Thanks for placing this cache (and others), keeping us on our exploring toes.
Wowsers, took us forever to find this one, our coords were jumping all over the place. But when we found it we’d obviously been suffering a case of cache blindness also. We found it easier once we gave up on coords and found the cache just before we lift light. TFTC

I had a day caching in the Sheffield / Devonport / Latrobe area after dropping off a friend to do a camera course in Sheffield. Only one thing that needed to happen was a quick drop into the Devonport airport office to fix a small internet issue. The day was overcast with occasional showers, although some showers were heavier with some ice in them.
All logs were signed July 22 as I forgot the date at the start of the day and continued this way throughout (and for those people checking, I will log all for todays date on the web site)
Found this cache after calling into the airport. There was motorbike training going on across the road. While I was with the cache signing the log a Hyundai Getz went passed, did a handbrake turn and headed back past me. You don’t kids driving.

Now on the relevant side of town to catch the Spirit for the Big Island this non-heavy wee cache was found after a 5 minute search. Sneaky thing! It was Golden As Bro!, how hard could that be to spot? My caching instincts cut in and the bison was eventually spotted
SL back at the GeoMobile at 15:28 on Sunday 26 June 2022.
Now it's time to go ready myself to board the Spirit in about an hour

Glad to hear you enjoyed your visit to our island. And thanks for leaving a cache for us locals to find. Mr Beetle spotted this one fairly quickly. Thanks.
Terrible weather today, picking up a few caches while I wait to the ferry tonight. TFTC
Such a big area to search so found in a reasonable amount of time, great day for caching TFTC
Arrived at GZ and thought Oh no! Another difficult search. Then I surprised myself by making a very quick find. Thank you pommieparkin2.
Out and about with Tassie Trekkers collecting new caches that have appeared since our last visit to this area. A great day to be out and about. Happy Easter. TFTC
While out and about today with whitewebbs we found a few caches on the way and this was one of them.
Cache and contents were in good condition.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

In town again, staying with family with gave us and opportunity for picking up some more of the hides, which we haven't got previously.
It was a beautiful day so we were making the most of it. We had a lovely day taking in some beach and river views and finding some great hide.
Out for an evening walk grabbing a few along this area. It was an easy enough hide once near GZ.
Thanks pommieparkin2 for placing the cache and doing the maintenance, so we can enjoy the find.

Came back once again a very quick find this time when not focused on a broken cabletie
A quick find of a drive by cache. A few workmen across the road, but they didn’t seem to notice me. TFTC.
A very busy area here, short stop and cache spotted on approach.
Today was our last day in tassie, we made our way down to dove lake for a nice morning walk before making our way to Devonport to catch the ferry to Melbourne.
Thanks for the cache

Hi pommieparkin2, glad you enjoyed your trip to Tassie and left a cache for me to find on a perfect Tuesday morning in Devonport. Took a little while to spot the gold as it is very nicely camouflaged. Thanks again for the hide.
We needed a cache close to home for our daily cache hunt. Accurate coordinates and the hint led to a quick find of a cache which contrasted very well with the surroundings. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks PommieParkin2 for placing this cache close to home - we really appreciate the placement.

Found it. Trying to look inconspicuous standing by the side of the road but luckily there wasn’t too much traffic. Thanks for the hide.

saw this one appear whilst having breakfast, so we did a brisk 'get organised' manoeuvre and logged this little golden snitch at 9.15am.
TFTC pommieparkin2. Hope you enjoyed your little break in Tassie.

Out caching on a lovely Tassie summer day and thought we'd have a look for this new cache. We knew the FTF was already taken but still, second is pretty good. This one might be a bit hard to be inconspicuous on a working day so glad all was quiet when we arrived. TFTC
