No joy for us here today.Cheers

Had a quick look but no luck, plenty of water about and suspect we would get wet to get this one.

Up early to beat the forecasted rains. Zigzagging through blackberries and stumbling over loose rocks along the disused rail tracks. After a fruitless 45 minutes searching up, down and around it took a tip from the CO before finally spotting the cache. Relieved, the log was signed and replaced as found, just as it started to rain. Back then to the geomobile and on merry way. Favourite added. TNLNSL TFTC

A beautiful day to be out caching. Plenty of opportunity along the old rail line That was a bit tricky so many options. But early on I checked part of the hide. But investigated a bit more later. Nice one!
Thanks for the cache TS.

My skills are very poor today, I must have stepped over the cache about 4 times while checking all the nooks and crannies. Thanks

My second cache for the afternoon, and I must admit it took quite some time to spot this one. A string of DNF's had me wondering, but on the other hand, the CO is famous for well-secured caches! After testing the waterproof qualities of my boots (still 100%, even after 6+ months of daily use - yay!) and needlessly squeezing into some tight spots, I eventually spotted the prize. Despite the remarkable amounts of precipitation lately, the log was perfectly dry.

**This Cache:**

I really enjoyed this spot, so have a favourite point Big Grin
The cache was found instantly in the first place I looked! Which was a bit lucky I think, because it wasn't exactly where I expected it to be!

A great little spot and tunnel under the train line
Many thanks

**Today:**

Abandoned locations are my favourite spots to explore so I was excited to see some more caches pop up along this impressive train line recently, I have walked along it many times in the past and will always take the opportunity to do it again!

I have been eager to do these since they came out, and today with a free morning and some company myself and DSD set off early for a couple of hikes along it!

A short walk along a bit of the railway I have not ventured along before. Spent ages searching and crawling under the bridge till I relocated a few metres to the correct side of the bridge. TFTC.

I wanted to get out for a bit longer this afternoon, but I managed to make it an even longer afternoon. I headed down to Hume and chose a starting spot. I may have found another spot as I walked. Creek crossings, long grass, blackberries and embankment sides all made the walk to the three new caches I was going for interesting. Fist was a tree climb, second was a water hazard and finally the embankment. A great walk.

This cache was so easy I had to try twice and use a PAF. Annoyingly it really is in a very likely spot, even though there are actually plenty of spots it could be. It blends in amazingly well.

Thanks for the cache Tankengine

I love caches along this disused rail corridor (which is screaming to be made into a rail trail), and so I had a very enjoyable 4.09km return walk along and alongside the tracks seeking the newer TE caches along here, as well as one extra. Encountered lots of blackberries, several rabbits, a couple of roos, a lizard and an echidna over the course of an hour.

This cache was a reasonably quick find in a likely spot - thanks, Tankengine!

Would have been quicker had I looked down at my feet. Tftc

Was tricky to get to, lots of prickly blackberries to negotiate, at least the way I came. Loved GZ - so many potential hiding spots. Got there in the end with a couple of clues buried in previous logs.

Another pleasant short walk to a section of the old train line in good condition. Plenty of water flowing under the culvert. I got one boot wet while retrieving the cache but the sock was dry .

Took a while to find going back to the first place we looked but just had to look harder. After moving an old post out of the way there it was. Yeah!

Before and after this find we feasted on the blackberries at GZ. These were the best group of blackberries along the line. I wonder if the access to so much water in the full sun made the difference? TFTC Tankengine.

**This Afternoon**
Picked up four Tankengine caches on an easy 4km walk over a couple of hours in the hot mid-afternoon summer sun A favourite point for this group of TE caches on 'Dogtrap Dike' for the best tasting blackberries at this location, see photos. TFTC Tankengine.

Woohoo!!! [FTF] at 12:38pm, first of three in this area! I was close by Hume when I saw this first one pop up, so I dropped everything and dashed the car over. Parking was no issue, and the walk to GZ was no issue despite a little bit of grass and blackberries. Once at GZ I began to read the attributes and thought the worst, but upon a closer look I didn't need to get anything wet today! Spotted the cache all and well, with a blank logbook inside. Awesome location, good find by the CO as usual! TFTC TE!

I saw these as soon as they were published, but was having lunch so ignored them. A while later I noticed they still seemed unfound, so I decided to check them out. Still no logs when I arrived at GZ. My hopes of a FTF were dashed when I saw a name in the log book (two hours earlier). No worries - I already had 6 FTFs today anyway. This one took a while to spot. I'm not sure how I missed it, when I first checked out the obvious spot. TFTC.
