Hi Angus88. Today I/we attempted to find your Angus visits Smithton. Unfortunately, one of the following happened and that made us unsuccessful in logging a find :1. Hadnt rubbed all the sleep out of my eyes. 2. Hadnt had breakfast so was concentrating on filling my stomach. 3. Had someone else with me and they couldnt be bothered looking and wanted to leave. 4. Had muggles hanging around waiting for me to leave so they could relieve themselves. 5. Wrong time of day. 6. Wrong time of night. 7. Wrong information given to me about where the cache is hidden. 8. Coordinates out by more than 10 metres. 9. Nobody has blown up the nano factory yet. 10. Too much or not enough water / light / GPS signal. 11. Flat battery in navigation device. 12. Cache has been stolen / muggled. 13. Such a small cache hidden in such a large area (fake rock in a boulder field / pico in west coast horizontal scrub)14. Too far up the tree to reach with the ladder AND the pole. 15. Too far down the hole to reach with a magnet or grabby tool. 16. I gave up looking. 17. I need to be somewhere else soon/now/a while ago. No offence intended! One of these may actual fit my DNF on your cache. ??
Sorry Angus88, after a thorough search I did not come up with the goods today for your Traditional, Angus visits Smithton. It may be worth a sanity check to see that it is still here, I have been known to be cache blind at times.
Someone has sent a photo of GZ. Total decimation so the cache is gone. As there is now some-one very active in Smithton, Im sure this area will be wanted so this cache will be archived.
Had been here earlier in the day to eat our lunch. Suspected then that we would probably be back for a cache later.A quick find and well hidden from muggles. Thanks Angus88.
Thanks for the cache Angus88.Visiting the northwest coast for a few days and decided to head to Smithton to find some of the new caches that have been published in the area. This is a nice park area and the two GeoGSP's and I enjoyed our stroll around here.
Thanks Angus88 for hiding this cache and giving us some fun chasing it down This was find number 1,068 for us We are traveling Australia full time in a Coaster Bus and of course grabbing some caches along the way. [Feel free to follow our journey HERE...](https://linktr.ee/SalandAnth)
Today we have moved from Stanley to Smithson for a couple of nights. Originally when I set our itinerary there were only 2 caches to be found, however in the last couple of weeks JJGibbo has hidden some new caches. Brilliant, good on you and I hope some other people in your area also start to cache and also hide some more caches here. After dropping the husband off at A&E (nasty ear infection that needed Dr attention) I headed out to collect some caches (no point both of us wasting our day at the hospital)Husband now back on deck. Was worried that we might not be able to do this one as there was a large community event at the reserve. Husband was able to park me right next to the cache so ended up being an easy pick up. TFTC Angus
TFTC! Unable to sign log with many muggles around but was a quick spot of cache. Love finding all of Angus caches on our journey around Tazzie:)
A quick find with the aid of good coordinates and a useful hint. We hadn't been to this park before, a very tidy spot. TFTC
On a maintenance trip along the north coast and then down the West Coast this one was found to be missing with the lid only lying on the ground, so it has been replaced and therefore has a new log.
Nice quick find here as we arrived in town after a few very remote days exploring the north west. Tftc
A quick easy find for Mrs Shifter, we are staying in Stanley but came to Smithton to do some shopping. Thanks for the hide Angus88.
Hi Angus, TFTC. Didn't have a writing stick, but took photo of cache. Found with Flim and Flick as we holiday in Tassie
With a bit of time before the start of today's proceedings, we mosied on down here to check out the drained tidal river flats - and so I could have a look for this one of course.
I was a bit worried about finding this as I approached GZ but once there, I soon spotted the stash at 08:30. And whaddaya know, I even got an FTF(itNLB).
TNLNSL, although a couple of our geocoins had a visit to mark the occasion. Thanks Angus88.

Found what I believe is the cord hanging in the tree but the cache is missing. Have emailed CO a photo. ️
I have reception here so it’s a luxury to be able to log this one straight away quick find and did signing duties TFTC
Been shopping, having a look around Smithton. I'm sure it's a lovely spot, but grey, wet and windy don't show it at its best. But still enjoying our little geocaching tour!

Found it on a late night stroll around Smithton on the last night of my mum’s and I’s tassie campervan holiday. A great way to finish it up. Cool location! TFTC and pathtag.

First find for the day as we motor around this end of the island. We head back to Melbourne tomorrow so are making the most of our last day here although this wind sure makes it a little less easy on the bike..TFTC
Tricky. Good photo nav. Nice spot by the harbour with big tide differential. Tftc
Lovely park nearby and easy to park. Very little water in estuary. No muggles this time of day. TFTC
TFTC was just about to give up and there it was hanging about! Just enjoyed a great coffee at Hugos.
This has been a very relaxed and surprisingly warm trip to Tassie, weaving our way around new and favourite places.
While we were looking for your cache today we teamed up with a new caching family Zoie91 and searched together. The cache was well disguised and tricky to find. It’s always nice to meet other cachers in the field. Congratulations on your first find Zoie91, I hope it is the first of many more.
Thank you for the cache Angus88

Quick find with the geofamily as we tour Tassie. Our final night is here before heading back to the boat tomorrow night. I’m sure I’ll find some more of your caches but if not thanks a million for the fun and adventures on our travels - your caches have made us stop, smile and discover!
We had managed to tag along for a short holiday with muggle brother who had a couple of commitments in Tasmania, (from Vic) and after we also managed some time to explore, This was an unexpected stop as we needed to be on the ferry back to Vic tonight but had to detour from Stanley to here to get a puncture repair, and ended up with 4 new tyres !!!, one bonus of that was we got to visit another of Angus's stops, TFTC and the fun
TFTC
Took a little longer than expected but found after short search cache all dry and in good condition.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache

After a lovely lunch from Hugo's Brew and Chew, I thought I might try to nab this one on my lunch break. Voila! There she was after a little hunt. TFTC!
While out and about today with whitewebbs we found a few caches on the way and this was one of them.
Once honed in on GZ we made a quick find. Cache and contents were in good condition.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

Out and about in the area with Tassie Trekkers collecting caches since our last visit to the area and this was one we found. TFTC
Today was supposed to be our "Nut Run" but hey its raining ......... what a surprise for the Circular Head area ........ NOT ! So after a leisurely morning walking around dodging the showers, we a doing a car run to grab four others in the wider area, which now gives us the trifecta of "Angus Visits" Stanley, Forest and Smithton for this part of Tassie at least. Nice convenient location, and after a short search found all was good with this one. TFTC.
Oh no not another tree hanger was my thoughts. Took a few minutes but finally it was in hand and the log signed.
I stopped to have lunch in the park and checked to see if there was a geocache I could get on my way home. Discovered I was only 4 metres from one . Nicely hidden. TFTC .
Thanks for the find. My boys threw sticks in the water while I hunted. I was sorry not to have a pen on me when I saw how fresh and clean the paper was! Thanks for putting another cache in Smithton
