I have never been geocaching with a dog before - a challenging experience. I ought to be paid for all the weed clearing I ended up doing. t4tc

After a good walk around Tawharanui this morning, I stopped at this small little trail near Sandspit to take a look for the caches along here. I parked on the gravel side road and walked to the cafe and back again. The trail was quite muddy in places, but I found all caches without any problems. TFTC!

Ain't THAT the truth, not being able to find a G-2 cache, been there done that and spat my fair share of tacks, I had no tacks with me so no spitting at the C.O today! Luckily though, I didn't need to spit, the cache wanted to be found. Thanks G for the cache.

18-Jan-23

20-Aug-22
After we found the first cache on this trail some 8 years ago we were walking here regularly over the years. But only now we went to hunt down all the new caches along this, at the moment rather muddy, trail. TFTC

20-Aug-22
Spitting tack I was, but only because after a phone call to GAR (who had gone back to the car at Hamilton Road) I didn't look at the GPS and, when I did, discovered we had gone well passed this cache and had to back track through a particularly boggy section of track. Once at GZ it took longer signing and re rolling the log than the finding! Thanks for placing G2!

Muddy today. Should have brought my wellies! TFTC.

02-Jul-22
A slightly harrowing journey to GZ after the previous section of the track ended on the main road and we had to walk along it before we could re-enter this section. Cars were speeding along at a merry rate and some honked us, appearing to be telling us that we were crazy for walking so near the edge. Some may have even been "Spitting Tacks". Hopefully they build a connecting section at some stage.
But we survived the journey and after a slightly muddy walk we arrived at GZ and made a quick find.
Only one more to go. We can smell the coffee at the end.
TFTC.

Phew...nice one and a QEF here today...thanks Glyn.
I must admit there were two occasions last week where Nette1234 and I were somewhat frustrated with one or two G-2 caches we had trouble finding!
But it was smiles all round today thanks!

Team G0LD had planned to cache in Orewa today, get 50 caches and clean up that area. Such a nice surprise to see all these new ones published. We left Whangarei 10 minutes earlier than planned and made the short diversion out this way to try for the ftfs along this trail.

I have definitely dnf'd some G-2 caches but anger and tack spitting have never come to mind. Frustration that I can't spot it, indeed. Later in the day I was very pleased the team helped me avenge a G-2 dnf.

Fortunately this was not a dnf but instead another easy {FTF} at 8.26am with the team. Boy, the cars speed along this road. I was pleased to get back on the track away from them. Thanks for the cache Smile

On a caching mission this morning with Keylev. I had mentioned that I wanted to hit 100 caches this week. Managed to get up to 50 so today was going to be the big one!

Keylev saw a few FTFs up here and was keen to give it a go. I'm always good for caches so it didn't bother me one bit! Apologies for the copy and paste but there were a few caches her but appreciate the new caches here! TFTC

[FTF] Out with Team Gold this morning (0B80B8 and Liscrew) to collect a few caches to keep our numbers up. This series pop up last night, so we though we would give a FTF a go. Enjoying the walk with a clean sweep of FTF so far. One to go. TFTC
