Revenge for a previous DNF. How many times haven't you said or thought: 'why didn't I find that one last time?'
Fun find with Graubunden. Narrow roads make it difficult if not using public transportation! Were over here for several Sunday finds. And this got us searching for something that is so obvious in hindsight. Favourite point awarded. TFTC kireevi
Me and my two mates had a fabtastical blast when finding this mysterious yet intellectually clever geocache.
This was a very tough cache to find! Scaphoid and myself were pretty keen to locate it though & after reading the logs we deduced that it must be *somehwere* so we pushed on with the search. We both checked a location within centimetres of the cache hide before actually finding it. several times! Eventually, for some reason, I decided to check this location yet again because I had good feelings about it & this time careful searching uncovered something not seen previously! I have absolutely no idea how you found this spot, unless you made it yourself? It looks so natural though, but maybe thats just because its been here for a couple of years and worked itself into nature. Either way, a super sneaky hide! TFTC
Being relatively new to caching there is a lot that Im discovering and enjoying. One of those things that is a new discovery is caching trips. Loci612 and I had discussed a trip to Sydney for a specific event, unfortunately, I couldnt make the event but I was still able to enjoy a good few days of caching with friends.Day 2 was all about focusing on getting some cachers with some good stats, particularly some high-terrain caches. We had all day in Sydney to spend caching so we were both exhausted by the end. I was drawn towards this one on the way home for the day and so we decided to stop by. We walked across the grass which already had a nice layer of dew forming. I spent some time searching the area before Loci612 pointed me more to the right direction. I love this cache and the unique hide! TFTC kireevi
That's really well done. Nice hide, we really enjoyed this one. Tftc and a fave from me
Very well constructed, definitely no mint tin that's for sure. Great to see something different. Fav point from us TFTC.
Didnt have enough time.. I looked under every possible rock..Will come back one day
Yes, not a mint tin. I am in 2 minds about wether i like this kind of cache. 1, i dont like turning over rocks, as it destroys homes, and second, it can be called buried. I found it after a 10 minute search of the surrounds. Its very well made, and i am sure i have found similiar, and did not like those either. A lady walking her dogs, was very suspicious of the old bloke in the bushes. TFTC.
TFTC from the Kayakviking! Nicely done. Took a while to get a lock on GZ. GPS bounced around and lots of leaf litter. The bush turkeys came scurrying as soon as I started poking around.Eventually, that doesn't look quite right!Fav for me.Cheers KV
Definitely not a mint tin!Made my way across the very soggy grass to GZ.Noticed a few rocks nearby, covered with a lot of leaf litter. Scratching around uncovered something needing further investigation. It took a while to gain access to the log book, which was signed, and all was replaced as found.Definitely worth a favourite point. Thanks to the CO for the great cache.
Wow, Kireevi, FP from me. Looked at the rocks and then some manageable ones.Truly awesome work here
MY FIRST FIND!! Very fun, some water damage to the logbook and the pen is broken. Changed the plastic bag containing the logbook with my own dry one.
actually i hated that, i stood around for a solid half an hour debating leaving and coming back with a friend for backup lol. im too anxious for this hobbygot over it eventually tho, 10/10 incredible hide, TFTC!
What amazing cammo had us fooled for a while but the baked beans tip helped. TFTC
tftc oh my gosh how did i not see that the first time. i mean the camo is amazing. thanks so much
A big thanks to vk2df for checking the cache recently. As noted, all is good and ready to be found! If the many DNFs continues will up the difficulty.
Noticed that this high quality cache had a string of recent DNFs and a red spanner, and as I was in the area today with time to spare I stopped by for a cache check, and I can happily report that the cache is safe & well and eagerly waiting to be found. Happy caching everyone
On this trip we are basically looking for Adventure Labs, Earth caches and Virtual's, anything where there isn't muggles involved and also hoping to pick up a few LGA's we need around the Sydney area
We've actually got to g&z after we found somewhere to park the car and happily it didn't take too long to locate the container. Unfortunately the logbook is almost much we were able to get our initial initials onto the sheet but that was all. There are some very nice views from around here
Many thanks for the cache and showing us this location, another LGA off the list

Cache was covered in leaves but all of them removed now. Have made some changes to avoid this again. Read hint for more info. Cache still in great condition, waiting for its next finder.
Found the obvious hole at the base of the tree but previous logs didn't mention this. My device had the GZ further northish but a heavy layer of autumn leaves discouraged me from further searching even if it wasn't relevant.
I headed over here after running the nearby parkrun. Despite the park being quiet due to the damp weather and a reasonable search I was unable to find the container - did find lots of leaf cover and bottles
Spent quite some time at GZ looking for this one, but had no luck today.
Will be back some other time.
Will be back some other time.
One to come back to when less crowds. Sounds enticing (I'm guilty of hiding an average tictac cache - motivation to get creative)
Find 699 for the tribe
Ocw geospouse and in our sunday best for a nearby wedding we had the chance to look for some caches including this one. Boy were we overdressed for the occasion on a stunning sweltering Sydney day! But in the area we were so caching we went.
No muggles close by so the coast was clear. Hunted around for a fair bit but with good coords eventually geospouse made the find. No that is NOT a mint tin! Epic cache! Another well earned FP for you! Replaced as found and wandered off in our wedding attire.

Brilliant hide. Loved it (though had to wait for the army of dogs to move away).
What an awesome hide!! Very sneaky. No-one's going know. Was here yesterday but there were to many muggle kids around to attempt a retrieval of the cache without being suspicious. So I came back today on my morning PT walk and low and behold found the cache in no time as there were no muggles in sight and I knew where to look. Cache and logbook are dry. Room for small SWAPS and drops. Lucky there was a pen to make my mark. TNLN SL TFTH TFTC. Cache replaced as found ready for the next cacher. Fav point awarded - I really appreciate someone thinking outside the box. Definitely no mint tins here!
Too many non geo kids having a party in the area to retrieve. Will come back on another sunny day.
Needing at least one find for today, to increase today's cache count on our “finds by found date” matrix, we headed over the Spit Bridge to have a look at a couple of kireevi caches. This was the 2nd of 2 finds for today.
After finding "Hydrant on Path" we continued along the road down to the parking area Rosherville Reserve, then walked across to the cache location. Arrived at GZ and wondered where a Regular sized cache could be hidden and, after checking & dismissing the obvious spot, we noticed something that was a little out of place and begged a closer inspection. And, after doing so, we uncovered the hide and soon had CIH. TNLNSL, and then replaced as found.
Gee we thought the last cache was well done, but this one is even better, with obviously a great deal of effort having been put into it's construction. TFTC kireevi, it gets a Favourite point from us.

TFTC! Wow this was a difficult one to finally nail. I had to PAF to get the final hide. OCW Discobob3. We got eaten by mosquitos. Loads of fun. Have a FP
This one puzzled Jennyfromthefarm and I for a while. We had found a possible location but then had dismissed as couldnt see anything hidden there that could be big enough for what we were looking for. We kept searching until Jennyfromthefarm and I resorted to PAF and we were relived to finally make the find. Great effort has gone into making and placing this cache, hats off to Kireevi for this one. FP from me.

Afternoon caching in Mosman with Brewmaker and Everest High.
Another great hide by the CO. I had some challenges getting the csache out of its hiding hole as the bottom half was not properly attached by the previous owner and got stuck.
But all ended well and the cache was firmly placed back.
TFTC kireevi.

An early start this morning saw PelDroedGwin and myself dropping Geodog off at the specialist hospital at 9am, that gave us a few hours to pass before we could collect her.
This was the last cache of the day and it's a fabulous one.
Very bold and very creative, love it. Have a FP from me.

Out and about and hunting caches building to a milestone. This is a cracker and certainly not a mint tin. Lots of creativity on the hide itself and the construction. It all fits back in place with a bit of a twist and a wiggle. Pretty muddy on the way across to GZ but very navigable. Only a man and a vicious dog in the park when I arrived. The man had to grab the dog who growled and approached me with a baring of his teeth. Oh, he's all bark, says the man. I sure was glad he was there to grab the dog. Excellent hide and a favourite from me. SL TFTC Cheers... Gaztek
The reserve has transformed to a wetlands. I don't think the guidelines preclude anyone from finding this method hiding. Thanks kireevi.
#9002 (1 of 8 today - including 3 Adventure Labs)
I am gradually catching up with my logging - am currently only a month and a bit behind. But that's still over 100 caches!
To be honest, while I still find searching for caches fun, I'm finding logging less so. But I have to log to get me stats and souvenirs, so...
Only a few Adventure Labs and my First2Finds have been written up in a timely manner - don't want people racing out when it's already been snaffled.
Nevertheless, I have kepy up with my 2022 goal of 16 finds per caching day. In fact, for the most part my modus operandi has been to actually aim for 20. So far I've only failed on that a few times, and only by 1 find. Amazingly I'm on track for 19 finds per day, but somehow I expect that will eventually prove too hard as I have to travel a good distance if I want more than a cache a day.
Thanks to all the CO's who have made it possible to keep my goal in sight. Most of the finds have been Traditionals, but a few Puzzle series and the odd other cache type have been grabbed where possible.
Sorry the logs are very generic, but I'll never catch back up otherwise.
###END OF GENERIC ABJECT GROVELLING SECTION###
Decided to make some finds in Mosman and surrounds today - as I need four physical finds. Those ALs don't count for the calendar loops on Project GC.
Got five, and finished off an AL while I was at it.
###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###
Parked in a nearby street (not a car park) and walked down to GZ. Had the whole field to walk over and it is a lake. So glad by boots are waterproof, but the mud...
Skirted the worst of it and finally got to GZ. A short search and something grabbed my attention. Checked it. Can't be, can it? Certainly was. Brilliant!
Signed, replaced and waded back to the car park and then up to *The Hademobile*.
Gets a favourite for the top notch construction.

No its not a mint tin.
And it was terribly hard to find as all the trees in the area have shed their leaves making a carpet of at least 20cm of leaves. With the severe wind things were falling off the trees which was quite dangerous so I decided to PAF so I knew what I was looking for.
It still took several more minutes and after a couple more near misses I was thinking I should leave this area when I spotted what I wanted.
Not sure this is legal, on 2 accounts.
It is stretching the boundaries of geocaching guidelines.
It is within the council fenced area which is there to prevent the spread of noxious weeds. It appears that over the 'rainy' season a lot of the council restrictive fencing has washed away and has not yet been reinstated so it may not have been there when the cache was placed.
A lot of work has gone into this so I hope it stays but it could be archived without warning.

Definitely NOT a mint tin! We made our way through the swamp and found a short geo trail leading... no where? A bit of a search and we spotted something a little out of the ordinary. Could it be? Surely not! Hmm, maybe. Ah ha! Loved the effort that went into this one. Favourite point from me!
After seeing the 100% favorite rating we had to go and check this one out, took us quite a while to find and we even kept on passing it as well. About to give up but we spotted something that seemed a tiny bit odd. Amazing container TFTC fav point
I had heard about this new cache over on the north side, so along with the geodog Zelda, we made the journey. After all the rain, the middle of the park was like a lake. So we cicumnavigated the park to avoid getting to wet.
At first I though I had the GZ hiding place, but nothingin there. I circled a tree a few times, before I noticed something on the ground that looked out of place. After I moved it, I spied another unusual item, which proved to be the home of the worm. I soon had it all uncovered, and aded our names to the log book. A very unique and rare hide, that stretches the limits of hiding permissions. You can have a FP from Brew. TFTC

I almost gave up on this one... then suddenly spotted something oddish. Could it be ??? Surely not !!!! Should I even touch it ????????
I decided no way.
But something niggled. so I returned for a better look and messed about a bit ...
... and lo and behold !!!!!!!
Very cheeky !!! And worth a favourite point.
Well done, kireevi!

Firstly, I didn't know this reserve was there. Secondly, because of heavy rain lately, the middle of it was a lake. Thirdly, it is great to have a high quality cache container/camo placed in this area of Sydney. I agree with GHHH. Awesome cache container, and it's container! 3TF. Well worth a Favourite Point! OCW morty8888. OK not sure that it's the best cache I've found but certainly in the top five. A very well camouflaged and cleverly constructed cache that had us scratching our heads for a while and I even had my head inside a tree. We were just about to walk away from it when we spotted something that needed further investigation. I certainly hope that lots of cachers make the effort to go and find this cache as it certainly deserves to be found.
Thanks for placing this cache kireevi. FP from me.

OCW Oldmorty and headed down here with hope of finding something special. The description said it wasn't boring and the FTF gave it rave reviews.
We struggled and spread out to no avail and was just about to call it when Oldmorty saw something familiar and random. First section completed and still we weren't convinced it was the cache. Then a little fiddle revealed an excellent home made cache container. Wow. Impressive and worth not only a FP but recognition of the time, effort and creativity that went into this hide. What makes geocaching great. TFTC!
