On an impromptu sunrise beach jog and used this as my turnaround point. Somehow lost my pen, so left my green mark with an impromptu pen, leaf for ink & key scribe =The " please open in place" and coordinates pointing exactly to the beach access marker, with no hint, had me thinking this was some type of very clever hide... but finally found the simple basic cache in the next most sensible spot nearby. TFTC
Stage 3 of our trip is a few days on the North Island of New Zealand. Thanks to all the COs for placing and maintaining caches for us to find. Day 1 Quick find at the Airport when arrived before we headed down to Pirongia to say with friends. Day 2 I spotted a multi in Hamilton which took us on a tour of street art. So we headed into town for a stroll around. After lunch, a walk was in order so we stopped at Lake Ngaroto and walked and geocached around. Day 3 we drove up to Coromandel stopping along the way to see the sights and of course geocache!Day 4 Up early to head eastwards and a leisurely drive back down the coast.
Quick and easy find before leaving today. Nice beach, and lovely spot to stay overmight! TFTC
I allocated today as being the day I would try to get the caches near the beach starting from just south of Waihi Beach town to Bowentown. This was not a very nice day on the beach,Cheers for the cache, willbuild.
Noticed these caches so decided to head out of Auckland for the day to see which ones we could find. After finding Track 34 we made our way back onto the beach for a small walk before climbing back up the dunes to grab this one. Didnt have to search too much before we had this in our hands.
Caching with alunb today, camping in the area but not here, a quick find, now it's swimming time, tftc
Staying at the nearby NZMCA park and headed out to collect some caches along here this afternoon, nice quick find here with nufrat, TFTC
Just when we thought we'd finished caching for the day we grabbed this and one other on a late afternoon walk on the beach. T4tC willbuild,Civvnr&MissTreadlightly....(UK) Geocaching.com finds so far 11428
Hi this is my first log not much room on log so my tutor has put. In a water proof log
Just bushcrashed across from the cycleway, heading to the beach to cool our feet. Went off track a little more than needed but found soon after. TFTC
Notice these facilities are popping up in a few places. Nice spot to have one. Nice view up here to look up and down the beach. Great day for it. Log sheet is pretty full. Tftc.
Having a break at Bowentown so I thought I would do some of the caches. No7. Walked to this one along the beach. A nice little find sitting quietly. TFTC
Over at Waihi Beach today with family and found this cache in the cold southerly wind. Nice quick find, TFTC
Visited Waihi Beach for a short spell this afternoon and picked up three caches in the area. This one was a quick find. #6411. TFTC.
Nice spot for the end of our walk! Little bit wet but still in good condition. TFTC.
No campers were around today, in fact there were virtually no muggles at all.
After a clamber up the bank from the beach the cache was quickly spotted and the log signed.
Then it was back down to the beach to continue our walk in this beautiful place.
TFTC.

Another smiley face for us, little one again came up with the goods. Thanks again for placing these as we would not normal stop and explore these spots.
A stay at the camp nearby. Easy find. A little damp but not too bad. Cache is off the ground. Popped a tiny painted stone for someone else to find.
We found this one on a sunny and warm day. The log sheet was quite wet. Unfortunately, we had no paper with us to replace the log.

Headed down this way for some RnR with Mrs stik-a-crane and junior cacher, staying at Waihi Beach..... after our cycle in the morning we regrouped for lunch at the house and decided to take a walk along the beach to collect a few more caches along the beach.....
The cache was all good.

Beautiful hot sunny day so heading to Bowentown for some swimming and caching. Sadly this was a quick find as the tree at GZ was a strange shape. Probably best described as a geocaching hole. Retrieved the cache trying to minimise any evidence of my visit.
Have you ever trekked 100m or more, quickly found the GC and (while feeling a little smug) then realised that you have left the pen back in the car? So, technically I have found this one twice? Nevermind, the geodog (in training) didn’t seem to mind the double walk. TFTC
We made it through the worst of cyclone Hale while camping so celebrated by going caching.
A chance to do these caches and check out the post storm seas. It’s was super sad to see in some places up to 4m less sand dune than two days ago. It was unbelievable.
This cutting was the worst spot for erosion that we saw today.
The cache was high and dry and soon found and signed. Weather meant that there was less muggles than usual. Tftc

We jumped in our car to this cache as soon as there was a break in the weather. The sea is very rough today. TFTC
Logbook pretty much disintegrating so popped in a waterproof replacement. Fantastic views of the ocean. Looks like it's raining in Tauranga. TFTC.
Found some caches on my way along the beach and slept at one of this freedom places.
Thanks.
You can not write in the logbook, sorry.

With Gap (of Fap and Gap)… Usually, Sundays are spent preparing for the work week or doing chores. We decided to be kind to ourselves and made plans to go caching instead…
We bashed our way out to the road from the Secret Cycleway. That was harder than we expected… Onto this cache. This was a straight forward search and find, but the cache had taken in some water. A good view of the ocean from here. Thanks willbuild and TFTC.

After a day in Karangahape and Waihi, I thought I would take the long way home and clear this area as well Quite a few camping in the car park in vehicles as I went past and up to the beautiful view of a wild sea with several ships moving past Cache all good. TFTC
Another visit to Waihi Beach staying the the NZMCA property in our motorhome. We did a quick ride down the nearby cycle trail and went in search of this cache while in the area. Quick find. TFTC.
On the sad day that the Queen died, we came here for the first time.
Also saw the kiwi camper facilities too, which look amazing.

I was along for the ride with Boges. There were about 4 campers in the car park when we arrived and made our way to GZ. As I admired the view Boges signed the cache. Thank you for the placement.
Today I was on a mission with KGD (Hairy) to clear the north Waikato caches and Adventure lab cashes. A big thanks for placing this cache
Nice to see a couple of new caches in Bowentown since my last visit which was in April.
Thanks willbuild.
This set up looks interesting.

Out and about collecting a few caches for International Geocaching Day and this one was on the list to be collected. A great camping area, as seen by the four or five vehicles in the carpark. Thankfully, no one near GZ and the cache was a nice quick find. Then we were off back to Tauranga for our Granddaughters 5th birthday.

as I neared gz, I noted a couple of muggles heading the same way, so I sat down on a log for a bit until the coast was clear.
Then it was up the sand bank to gz, where the cache was soon in hand.
Thanks for putting this here.

We were too slow out of bed this morning. However it's always good to visit this neck of the woods. We counted the ships at anchor and moved in to find we were second. Thanks for bringing us here willbuild
9.25am. A long time since my last FTF. Usually I don't get the notification till well after the placement but today I was only the next day, so a quick trip to a blank log book.
Thank you. David.
