Logs
Found while waiting for our brake drum to cool after the bearing disintegrated in the last 33kms.
Mr Tardis was out for an adventure motorbike ride through the quiet back roads north of Orroroo. I found this one in the first place I looked - don't you just love it when that happens?Signed the log. Thanks for the cache mitch_0018.
Away for the June Long Weekend with TheWhiteDogGang. We based ourselves at Orroroo and travelled far and wide over 4 days. We managed 1,500 kms during our travels. We managed to find some really old caches, one from 2001, and even managed to get all 9 terrain ratings. Not bad for 2 old farts with no coordination. The weather was dry if not cold on occasions.A good way to spend 4 days. When we arrived the locals were having a fete of types right at GZ. It looked like they were starting to pack up so we went and did some other caches. When we returned the coast was clear enough for us to find and sign the cache.TFTC
A LWE away caching w Team WaldronToured the mid north and surroundsSome great caches foundFixed a few as wellTrash n treasure was just packing up so went n did some others n returned an hour laterTFTC
Arrived to overnight at the back of the Carrieton Hotel in our van, we had a good wander around town and then a great meal of lamb shanks at the pub with friends. Another easy find, a bit exposed here but no one about. It got very busy when we were back here on Sunday for the annual June LWE Carrieton Trash & Treasure, lots of great home-made products, bric-a-brac and enjoyed a BBQ steak sandwich. Carrieton & surrounds needs a few more caches TFTC & CheersPaul & Fabienne 6 June 2024 14:14
From Tumby bay on holidays Staying at Carrieton caravan park for 2 days to clear caches in this area the caravan park is amazing. Do stay here if you need a spot Nice cold walk to here this morning before heading home because of a unfortunate flat tire going to the kettle and pot corner What an amazing mural on the wall and table Condition excellent Coords. Excellent Took. Nothing Left. Pathtag TFTC
On our travels we found ourselves traveling to hawker and took the opportunity to grab some interesting caches, and yes this is a nice spot to stretch your legs even us vertically changed, thanks for placing this fun cache
We are currently on a eight week holiday which is mostly spent in New Zealand and Australia. However, the first three days were spent in Singapore as a nice break from an otherwise long flight. We had about three weeks in New Zealand which went by too quickly. The remaining five weeks are spent in Australia. Yesterday we took the ferry from Kangaroo Island to the mainland and spent the night in Barossa. Our destination for today is Wilpena. We moved from the Anzac memorital to this place because of te toilets. Nice murials and excellent toilets. We had lunch at the lovely picnic tables. Great place for a lunchbreak! It didn't take us long to find and log the cache. Thank you very much for this cache.
During our two-month trip through New Zealand and Australia we travel from the Barossa Valley to the Flinders Ranges. We stopped in this town for lunch and also found this cache.**mitch_0018**, thanks for the cache.
We are ion South Australia for the leap Year Mega. After an early start from our overnight accommodation, we set off to find the caches on our target list. All caches were found and signed as "5 for QLD" for our traveling group of hatzofff (myself), RoddyC, Imbunda, Snickersallan and grannysmith1947.Today we target some geo art and other caches. Loving the area, but it is very hot and quite windy today.
An early morning start after our overnight stay. I am traveling with my friends, hatzofff, RoddyC, Snickersallan and grannysmith1947. We are signing all logs as "5 for QLD" to save space. All caches were found, signed and replaced as foundAfter some early caches and an event we headed off to some special geoart and an overnight stay before heading back to Adelaide for the start of the Mega. Today has been one of the hottest and windiest we have had so far. [:(!] Here's hoping Adelaide will be a bit cooler tomorrow.
TFTC smile 18734 Out and about on a lovely day Having a great time finding a few caches heading to Adelaide for a few weeks then on our way to Canberra . Signing as 5 for QLD - Hatzofff Snickersallan RoddyC Imbunda. What a great team we made and lots of laughter and fun. Lots of caches to get today, and it was hot and windy at the geo art Thank you mitch_0018 for placing this cache for our enjoyment [:X]
A Leap Year Mega draws us to Adelaide. Today's our intrepid group has our second day in South AustraliaWe are using the Acronym 6 for QLD to sign the log sheets. Most of the caches this day were nice quick finds. And so happily I say that the logs were signed and caches replaced as found on this day, 27th February 2024. TFTC, mitch_0018.
We decided adding an extra few hours to the drive home for some caching wouldnt hurt. Nice cache
#5231 Decided to leave our campsite at Horseshoe for the day and explore the wider area and head north to see the spectacular scenery that is the Flinders Ranges, one of our favourite areas.Loved the murals adjacent to gz. Cache finally spied once looking at the right level. Also a good spot to discard our empties (beer bottles) and rubbish from our campsite responsibly . Thanks again mitch.
Another cache off the main drag that brought attention to some fascinating artwork that would otherwise have been missed. Tftc.
Second day of the dynamic duos venture north. Left Orroroo and headed up to Hawker for a nice and relaxing day as time was not going to be a problem. Didn't have a lot of caches on the must do list so ended up looking for, and finding, any cache close enough to the road we were traveling north on. Still got to Hawker in time for a couple of shortish walks which enabled us to clear the immediate area of any unfound caches. And of course, the main aim of the trip, the A Taste of Hawker's Heritage AdLab. All up, completed an Earthcache as well, and found twenty physical caches and this was one of them.
Thanks to mitch_0018 for placing this cache on our playing field.

With a few days off work I decided to head north for a night to the Flinders Ranges, and attempt to find SAs longest unfound traditional cache and Mount Abrupt plus what ever I had time for in the area. A beautiful part of the world up here.
Thanks for the cache

Full time Nomads since March 2014.
Having been in Perth to visit family our stay has come to an end and we are on our way to Broken Hill for the Mundi Mundi Bash.
Staying in Orroroo for a few days. Today we headed up towards Carrieton and surrounds. On arrival in Carrieton we got a message from our Geobuddies Iluvtrekking and richlink that they were only 15k's away themselves heading down from Hawker. Great to stop and chat to them but boy it was freezing at 9degrees and sadly it was too early for the pub to be open. So we grabbed a couple of caches with them before they continued South and we went off to explore.
Turned out we came across an old cache from 2001 and also did a marvellous 4x4 track for a 1/5 cache. Views were a bit cloudy but still amazing fun.
A great day out and about.

Travelling with iluvtrekking up the WA coast to Darwin, down the Centre and in the Flinders Ranges. Now travelling through to Peterborough picking up finds along the route. Bumped into familiar faces (Felix) here. Thanks for the hide.
Travelling with richlink from Perth to Darwin up along the west coast and home again through the centre and the Nullarbor, picking up caches as we go. Today, along the road from Hawker to Peterborough. Thanks for a quick one here, the breeze is freezing.
Staying at the Orroroo park we stopped here for a very nice pasty , went to GZ to eat it.
Quick find and sign with a stretch.
