Logs
Driving out of the flinders ranges, this quiet town (very quiet) had a great Anzac memorial with a cache. Tftc
Staying at the pub with van issues and this was just across the road. Nice and quiet out here.
Found this cache whilst on our two month adventure throughout central Australia and remote parts of WA.Stopped at this park for lunch. Before we were out of the car Mrs Rat had spotted the hide.Shared our lunch with some very nosey minor birds. Thanks to all the COs for adding to our adventure. TFTC
After playing Veterans Golf at Wilmington , had some daylight hours left so headed towards Carrieton and grab caches along the way. Very interesting drive around the back roads, also with some nice views. TFTC
Mr Tardis was out for an adventure motorbike ride through the quiet back roads north of Orroroo. I found this one in the first place I looked - don't you just love it when that happens?Signed the log. Thanks for the cache mitch_0018.
Away for the June Long Weekend with TheWhiteDogGang. We based ourselves at Orroroo and travelled far and wide over 4 days. We managed 1,500 kms during our travels. We managed to find some really old caches, one from 2001, and even managed to get all 9 terrain ratings. Not bad for 2 old farts with no coordination. The weather was dry if not cold on occasions.A good way to spend 4 days.A quick find.TFTC
A LWE away caching w Team WaldronToured the mid north and surroundsSome great caches foundFixed a few as wellTFTC
Arrived to overnight at the back of the Carrieton Hotel in our van, we had a good wander around town and then a great meal of lamb shanks at the pub with friends. An easy find at an interesting memorial.TFTC & CheersPaul & Fabienne 6 June 2024 14:02

Love how they put the plaques on there from the trees Condition excellent Coords. Excellent Took. Nothing Left. Nothing TFTC
On our travels we found ourselves heading to hawker and took the opportunity to grab some interesting caches on the way this one was no exception a fitting trip to our fallen, thanks for placing this cache
We are currently on a eight week holiday which is mostly spent in New Zealand and Australia. However, the first three days were spent in Singapore as a nice break from an otherwise long flight. We had about three weeks in New Zealand which went by too quickly. The remaining five weeks are spent in Australia. Yesterday we took the ferry from Kangaroo Island to the mainland and spent the night in Barossa. Our destination for today is Wilpena. We had a stop here to have lunch but instead went looking for this cache which was quickly found without any problem. Thank you very much for this cache.
During our two-month trip through New Zealand and Australia we travel from the Barossa Valley to the Flinders Ranges. We stopped in this town for lunch and also found this cache.**mitch_0018**, thanks for the cache.
We are ion South Australia for the leap Year Mega. After an early start from our overnight accommodation, we set off to find the caches on our target list. All caches were found and signed as "5 for QLD" for our traveling group of hatzofff (myself), RoddyC, Imbunda, Snickersallan and grannysmith1947.Today we target some geo art and other caches. Loving the area, but it is very hot and quite windy today.
An early morning start after our overnight stay. I am traveling with my friends, hatzofff, RoddyC, Snickersallan and grannysmith1947. We are signing all logs as "5 for QLD" to save space. All caches were found, signed and replaced as foundAfter some early caches and an event we headed off to some special geoart and an overnight stay before heading back to Adelaide for the start of the Mega. Today has been one of the hottest and windiest we have had so far. [:(!] Here's hoping Adelaide will be a bit cooler tomorrow.
TFTC smile 18733 Out and about on a lovely day Having a great time finding a few caches heading to Adelaide for a few weeks then on our way to Canberra . Signing as 5 for QLD - Hatzofff Snickersallan RoddyC Imbunda. What a great team we made and lots of laughter and fun. Lots of caches to get today, and it was hot and windy at the geo art Thank you mitch_0018 for placing this cache for our enjoyment [:X]
A Leap Year Mega draws us to Adelaide. Today's our intrepid group has our second day in South AustraliaWe are using the Acronym 6 for QLD to sign the log sheets. Most of the caches this day were nice quick finds. And so happily I say that the logs were signed and caches replaced as found on this day, 27th February 2024. TFTC, mitch_0018.
#5262 Decided to leave our campsite at Horseshoe for the day and explore the wider area and head north to see the spectacular scenery that is the Flinders Ranges, one of our favourite areas.Driving through Carrieton we quickly grabbed this cache placed near the memorial. TFTC mitch.
13250. Located by baby&Mrs gopher at 1035. We decided to find a couple of multi's and traditionals as we left Hawker this morning to make our way to Broken Hill. We got to SL Tnx mitch 0018
Some stealth was required here in order to escape the attention of the patrons at the local establishment across the road but the find was eventually made. Lovely spot. Good pub.
Second day of the dynamic duos venture north. Left Orroroo and headed up to Hawker for a nice and relaxing day as time was not going to be a problem. Didn't have a lot of caches on the must do list so ended up looking for, and finding, any cache close enough to the road we were traveling north on. Still got to Hawker in time for a couple of shortish walks which enabled us to clear the immediate area of any unfound caches. And of course, the main aim of the trip, the A Taste of Hawker's Heritage AdLab. All up, completed an Earthcache as well, and found twenty physical caches and this was one of them.
Thanks to mitch_0018 for placing this cache on our playing field.

With a few days off work I decided to head north for a night to the Flinders Ranges, and attempt to find SAs longest unfound traditional cache and Mount Abrupt plus what ever I had time for in the area. A beautiful part of the world up here.
Thanks for the cache

Full time Nomads since March 2014.
Having been in Perth to visit family our stay has come to an end and we are on our way to Broken Hill for the Mundi Mundi Bash.
Staying in Orroroo for a few days. Today we headed up towards Carrieton and surrounds. On arrival in Carrieton we got a message from our Geobuddies Iluvtrekking and richlink that they were only 15k's away themselves heading down from Hawker. Great to stop and chat to them but boy it was freezing at 9degrees and sadly it was too early for the pub to be open. So we grabbed a couple of caches with them before they continued South and we went off to explore.
Turned out we came across an old cache from 2001 and also did a marvellous 4x4 track for a 1/5 cache. Views were a bit cloudy but still amazing fun.
A great day out and about.
We were planning to log a DNF here but messaged the CO to see if they would like some help with maintenance. Whilst we waited for a reply we found the nearby cache and chatted to iluvtrekking and richlink. the reply came that CO was happy for us to replace the cache so we all signed the log of a new container and continued on, having sent the CO photos' of the new cache.

Travelling with iluvtrekking up the WA coast to Darwin, down the Centre and in the Flinders Ranges. Now travelling through to Peterborough picking up finds along the route. Ran into Felix who had contacted the CO because the cache was missing. Permission granted to replace the container and record our visit. Thanks mitch 0018
Travelling with richlink from Perth to Darwin up along the west coast and home again through the centre and the Nullarbor, picking up caches as we go. Today, along the road from Hawker to Peterborough. We briefly joined forces with Felix2. for a few caches before continuing on our way. Thanks for the cache, chrispy89.
Thank you for going to the effort of hiding this cache. You have shown us a new place and increased our experience in this location it is what helps make geocaching an enjoyable activity. Unfortunately after a good look around we didn’t find the cache this time.

We are on the road travelling up through central Australian and down the coast of WA. Geocaching has taken us to so many great places in this beautiful country. I was happy to grab a few caches along the way and this was one of them.
A quick find while passing by. Loved some of the local scenery.
Thanks mitch_0018 for placing this cache and doing the maintenance, so we can enjoy finding it.

A nice sized cache. My hand cleared the spider webs, as I reached for the cache. Two friendly cattle dogs in the back of the ute parked outside the pub. TFTC mitch_0018.
