Im out with CO, kbucky for a days caching on the pushbike and doing some of her rail trail series. We are in the area on our annual motorbike trip and I put the pushbike on the backup vehicle so I could use it on our lay day. It is perfect weather after a very windy day yesterday. The name of this cache is so true, that everyone needs a rock in their life

Cache in place still. New log sheet needed though.

I had a great time riding an e-bike today and came back to finish off all except one. I enjoyed solving many different puzzles. fav from me. Here's one to find today.Thank you for placing the cache kbucky.

26-Jan-24
Decided to come back again to ride ebike to finish the rest of this series. Enjoyed it with nice cool weather with few rains in the morning. Found it and thanks kbucky for placing this cache

20-Jan-24
A perfect summers day, so Geoturtle37 and I decided it was about time to get back on the scooters to finish off the SC to FC series. This took a bit of wandering back and forth, until I spotted something requiring a closer look. Bingo! Thanks for bringing us here by placing this cache, kbucky ~~

20-Jan-24
We decided to head out on our scooters again today to attempt to finish this trail, which we did. Last time, we ran out of time so today we set off reasonably early to make sure we had a good chance. This one took a little while but OHC eventually made the find and I went in for the retrieval. Thanks for the cache, the series and bringing us down here to enjoy the trail.

16:15A great day out on two wheels with the boys - pprass & maccamobAn unserviceability with a powered device meant that, for us, it was back to the self powered method of transportation. Log signed as 'MPP'.Another tricky placement that required close investigation to reveal the hiding spot. Thanks to kbucky for hiding caches in interesting locations. 36354

Found by David with pprass and phetlern while our wives went shopping, at 16:15. That's not a rock, THIS is a rock! Even so, with the volume of still-wet foliage, it still took a few minutes to find. Our thanks to kbucky.

04-Jan-24
Found at 4:16 PM in the company of maccamob & phetlern.Another one that took us ages to locate. The vegetation has spread around here making it difficult to spot thee rock. Thanks to kbucky

This year we headed to Cape Paterson to stay a few days over new years and had a nice stay at this beach location I had not been to before. Plenty of people around but that is expected at this time of year. After hearing this trail mentioned on the puzzle facebook group a little while ago I didn't think I would be here any time soon but I was surprised to see the family booked a holiday at the last minute this year only a 45 minute drive away so I came over here and started at the Fish Creek end and was only going to find a few and head back but I enjoyed the trail so much I kept on going for a bit longer even though I was supposed to be back for lunch ... that didn't happen.I grabbed this one on my return trip due to muggles nearby on the way there. Thanks kbucky for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun.

This was a pleasant surprise of a hide!
Based on thr name and the hint, had a but of an idea of what to look for. But in doing so, completely overlooked the obvious!!
Circled back and investigated what had originally caught our attention, and wouldn't you know it, there it was!
Interesting 'cache' to hold the log (which was a bit of a challenge to open, but got there eventually!)
Another good example to trust your gut (or your cache senses) when starting the hunt!
Really enjoying the variety of hides so far in this series!

This one got the better of me today. Thanks for the hunt & getting me out of the house kbucky

Unfortunately despite a thorough search, we were unsuccessful today. Our only DNF for the series.

Thanks anyway kbucky.

Once found D@geo headed off, while I sign the cache for us.
We left the 4x4 & camper at Fish Creek, and took the bikes to make these finds.

Out caching with D@geo
Thank you for the hide kbucky

Found with gwd.aussie
Had packed the bikes and leaving the car and camper trailer at Fish Creek aimed to complete the series to at least to Buffalo. In most cases the finds were left to gwd.aussie who is way more fitter than myself.
By the end of the day the idea of going electric was looking appealing.

Thanks kbucky

#20738. Well here we are back in Fish Creek - our last visit was back in June 2020 in the short window of opportunity during the COVID pandemic.

With bicycles and dogs in their tagalong trailer the ride between FC and Meeniyan was definitely on the agenda. We started on the Saturday afternoon but gave up at the Chinese Whispers cache before returning to our hosts. Started again on Monday with a full ride of 38km and managing to gather up most of the caches. We had 4 DNFs also, despite a couple of visits each time.

A good hide here - bold but safe from passing muggles I would hope.

Thanks kbucky

Down to Fish Creek to visit some friends, and BettyBoo3747, the geodoggies and I squeezed in a bit of time on the deadly treadlies to have a look at the SC to FC series.
We did some on the Saturday afternoon, and most of the rest on the Monday.
Lovely weather for a ride and cache.

As there was only one rock in sight, I would have to say this was one of the quickest finds.
Thanks for this series, Robmc.

Back out this morning to finish some unfinished caching business. Once again I overestimated my stamina and after 14+km and 5 hours of walking I had to call it a day. Once again a great mixture of caches, Buffalo to Fish Creek for now has been completed.

18-Jan-23
We did this series back to front today and went from Fish creek to Buffalo. Even though the weather is certainly not the best today, we decided that every day is a caching day and went on our way.
Spotted something we thought could reveal the cache and we were right.

With a break in the recent hot weather, plans were made to tackle this new series with Rebel Acts and Ski pair.

It has been many months since I have been on a bike and by the end of our adventure my butt certainly was not happy.
The day was filled with much laughter and stories about past caching triumphs. I really enjoyed this series especially the field puzzles.

My logs for this series will be cut and paste, I really don't want to give anything away about this outstanding series.

Great work kbucky, can't wait for your next series.

All logs signed with a team name.

At Rebel Act's Community Celebration Event in Warragul recently there was much talk about a new series of caches on the rail trail between Stony Creek and Fish Creek. Till then we had been unaware of their release so after a quick look we hatched a plan to visit the area today and try our luck.
None of us had been on bikes in recent times, but there was plenty of enthusiasm and an air of anticipation. New caches seem to be rare anywhere near our area.
The trail has flat areas and undulations but is in great condition for riding, but most of us did have sore bums by the time we made it to Fish Creek.
This is a great series with plenty of good-sized caches and hides thought out. The field puzzles were a treat and although we took quite some time on a few really added to the experience. Great fun!
Congratulations and well done to kbucky for an excellent well thought out series.
As usual we teamed up with our good mate Rebel Acts, but also had Omegaman71 joined us which added further to the usual banter and ribbing that adds to the hunt. Great people to cache with!

Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache kbucky.

When this geocache series got released I was already geocaching but in the opposite direction. Not having anything else planned, I programmed in the car park at #18 as my destination. It was a car park I had used before and knew it had facilities. Only 1.5 hours travel time.

Had a great day caching with a number of highlights. 18 finds and 16 FTFs. Solo caching, caching with a few different people, caching in a group and seeing 3 Owls and a Koala. Lots of variety of caches, and some interesting gadget caches, even if I'm no good at them. Going to have to come back and complete the series with the rest of the family and puppy.

"Everyone needs a Rock in their lives", including the little skink that was hiding under this one. Sorry little guy. Hoping you can get back to your home, after all these big scary geocaches leave your home alone.

Thanks for the cache K Bucky

We saw these published this morning, and wow, what a delightfully large amount of caches published relatively close to our home! We rallied the kids, dusted off the bikes and headed out for the day.

It was lovely to meet some other folk out ‘n ‘about, particularly Tiz13 with whom we shared some FTF’s. Of course Hunter999, Night Shift and Smokey Bears were on the case too.

We were thrilled to find all 38 caches in the series, especially our namesake cache. The field puzzles were a particular highlight and worthy of more favourite points than we have left to give out.

An absolutely huge amount of effort has gone into the planning, preparation and placement of this series and we are so appreciative to Kbucky for all your efforts. We are lucky to have you in our area!
Thank you ️️

I had heard whisperings of this new trail from the CO who I have cached with on a handful of occasions and it just happened to finally come out so plans were made with both my regular caching mates Ski Pair and Omegaman1971 to head down and do the entire trail. Just getting here was fun with a road block that Google Maps thought I could drive straight trough, this led to a detour and a back track to finally get over the hills and onward to the start of the trail. We had plenty of laughs along the trail as we found the quality caches on offer, despite the frustration of some tricky ones we managed to find and work them all out.

Was this one a tribute to Eagle Rock?

Thanks kbucky for the cache, I appreciate the work that went into this trail.
