What a good hiding place, we've always wanted an excuse to have a closer look at this machine. Lucy and Josh
We were very grateful for the hint on this one as it greatly narrowed down the search area. We could have been there for a long time otherwise as the cache was doubly hidden.Today we attended an International Geocaching Day Event in North Woollongong in a park on the ocean front on a warm, sunny day with light winds. A fabulous location. We met up with a number of local cachers from the surrounding areas that made us feel most welcome and included. On the way to and from the event we took the opportunity to collect a few caches that we passed. A highlight was the lighthouse area, beautiful in the sunlight. We could not search for a number of caches though as there were muggles everywhere. After lunch it was back on the bikes for a few more caches near where we are staying. The paths along the beach and surrounds are fantastic for bike riding.Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache paegle.**SKI Pair****
I remember DNFing this years ago. Today I was fortunate to spot it as I walked up for a very quick find. Interesting history here - TFTC!
9:37am Found by DustyJasperJet.I mumbled to myself, I don't feel like caching today, and actually I think I've lost interest in caching since I started working 12 hours a day 5 days a week, I just want to go home. But I arrived at this cache and searched for it anyway.Serve myself right for mumbling what I did, I promptly received a phone call from my manager asking me to come to work, and thus I did.Wasn't quite where I expected but the hint helped a bit. TFTH.
A fairly quick find thanks to nice hint. Log sheet was just about full. We added an extra logsheet wrapped around the original log.TFTC paegle
Over in the area heading for Canberra to attend the Easter Mega with tmann421Tons of caches done while here and this was one of them.Enjoyed the touring around and all the containers foundLog signed tm/ww NZThanks for the placement and the effort put into maintaining these hides for us to find.??????
*In the area with woolwood9 heading to the MEGA Event.* We cached from Sydney to Canberra, then after the MEGA, up through Yass, Cowra and Bathurst to return to Sydney. We had a great 3 weeks and enjoyed finding many good caches. SL *tm/ww NZ**Thank you for putting this cache out for us to visit!*Really very nice relic at site.
#10231 (1 of 9 today - including 3 Adventure Labs)Down for dinner with friends in The Shir... erm Illawarra. Headed out a few hours early to grab some caches around Corrimal before heading back north for a well earned glass or two (or three) of red!Only really had trouble with one - coordinates under the trees doing me in somewhat.Unfortunately got to my friends' place late as I was stuck behind someone who thought the speed limit on General Hargreaves Drive was 30kph!###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###Surprisingly easy find to start - usually I look everywhere before lucking out just as I'm about to walk away. Was pretty sure where to concentrate and was rewarded with the find after a few minutes - second look there, too. Only isue was having to wipe away a few webs in order to search.Completed signing duties, replaced and on my way.SLTNLNTFTC
At last, don't know how I had missed it earlier.Very sneaky hide. Thanks for hiding and maintaining this cache paegleFP given
After grabbing another one nearby, I got more intel, so I returned, and after some poking around, I eventually touched something to have CIH and DNF revenge. Found with GeodogZelda. TFTC
I recall finding another cache on here a few years back. That was difficult but this one was easier this time. TFTC.
Found it, and a gong rocks rock, and what I'm guessing is a dog poo in a bag. Tftc.
Given the multiple places this could have been I was happy to have found it so quickly. TFTC
Normally dread nanos on machinery but thankfully the hint narrowed the options. TFTC.
WOW , now that’s a tricky hide!!!

Hi Day One.
My son and I New Year trip turn into drive into NSW and beyond. Today was more about driving. I found 9 today with few DNF. Oh well they do happen.
The breakdown was a mystery, community event, traditional, multi and adventure lab.
Day Two.
We carry on heading south down Newell highway grabbing more caches. Stopping for old and some new virtual, plus more non traditional for a challenge. Unfortunately some of those prove hard to find.
I had lots of fun doing earthcache they brought us to some wonderful places.
I found 26 today the breakdown was 3 virtual, 3 earthcache, 5 traditional and 3 adventure labs with 15 waypoints.
Day 3
Heading towards Mt Buller
After early start we started grabbing caches along the Newell highway to get more LGA cover.
I found 28 today with a lot of driving. The breakdown is 6 traditional, 9 virtual, (most I found in a day) 2 mystery, earthcache plus 2 adventure lab with 10 waypoints.
Day 4
Back up the mountain to finish of what I started. I was 5 later yesterday to get the photos.
After that I grab more caches around the Mt Buller Village. Plus I found one old traditional, it is in the oldest 5.
With finds total was 12. The breakdown is 5 traditional, 5 virtual, multi and at not least a webcam.(finally).
After we finished on the mountain we started to head to Canberra.
My son and I had lots and fun today.
Day 5 Canberra
Early start today chasing caches for a challenge cache that I need for my next loop. Considering my first caching trip was fly in fly out. This time maybe little bit longer. Still not much longer need to be home in couple of day.
I found 25 today. The breakdown was 16 mystery, 6 virtual, earthcache, wherigo, traditional. Plus couple of DNF.
Leaving day for Canberra to Yass. I had a few kayaking ones on the list but not enough time for all. I DNF 2 but a CO gave permission to log it. I found the wire where the cache was. Then I headed to a event to meet up Canberra caching community. Two of them I knew from Brisbane who have move back here.
I did some caching around the park then headed to Yass to stay the night.
I found 20 today. The breakdown was 10 mystery, 6 traditional, 2 multi, letterbox and a event.
Day 6, Yass
Early start today I was chasing more challenge caches. Some of these were high. Glad I had my ladder. One was to high for it. Maybe next time. I sign 18 Challenge caches, some I qualify for other I don’t. Couple I need only few finds.
Total finds today was 21 the breakdown 11 mystery 7 traditional and 3 virtual. Plus 17 sign logs but don’t qualify for.
And lot of driving closer to home.
Thank you CO for your hides and the maintenance you do. For us to find
Sorry for the generic log.

Heading home from the event up north a group of us tackled this one and after searching the red holes we eventually had this one in hand.

After tonight’s cache dinner event, Rats said he was stopping here on the way home and invited me to join. Giving Mr Python and Creepy Ghoul a lift home, we all ended up searching every nook and cranny of a familiar structure. Soon torches and mirrors were added to the mix in the quickly fading light and just as a PAF answered “hello”, I simultaneously called “found it”. Isn’t that always the way. Glad for the company and a bonus smiley for today’s tally.
Headed over after the event at Austinmer with MizMaz and The Rats. This one had us searching all over the places with flashlights at the ready. After searching all around we resorted to PAF. As soon as the phone began to rang Maz had the cache in hand! Good way to end the night!
Was a bit of a tricky one, went with Maz, Python and Rats for this one, had fun looking in every nook and cranny. TFTC!
Returned to the Winding Engine for another search. Didn't take too long to locate the cache this time around. Thanks Paegle and Eleni!
These kinds of hides are notoriously tricky. I looked/climbed up, across, around, under and inside. I don't doubt that the cache is still there - lots of hidey holes to inspect.
Was able to zip past here on my way through the northern suburbs today- found one or two here before but worthy of a cache for sure. Passed over the right spot once or twice before eventually getting there. TFTC!
A spot I had been before, many years ago. Even then I remember it was hard because of the muggle factor. Was lucky today, but as soon as I had the {FTF} in my hands, people started to turn up.
