Thank you for hosting this geocaching Event! The date of the Event has passed. We automatically archive Events after 30 days (60 days for Mega- and Giga-Events). Attendees can still log archived Events, log trackables, and share their experiences.
Logbook photo attached, including scores from the FTF AFL game (first round circled, playoff round in boxes). Improvised something given I forgot to bring the collection of logs from previous events. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------In the spirit of reconciliation we would like to acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of country on which we geocache throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community. This was a fun CITO in a great location! Found a microwave which was the highlight piece of rubbish, as well as a broken chair which I attempted to briefly repair for a quick rest! Then we set up the AFL themed banana game which the CO had arranged very nicely, which was good fun and a nice reward to throw a ball at a target after our CITO'ing! Thanks for organising pantspeople, much appreciated
Collected a little bit on the middle strip, which was feeling odd with the cars zooming by but certainly a lot there especially if you pick up the smaller items as well. Then a FTF game and at the end I could help by taking some of the collected bags since our land fill binnis always empty. Nice to catch up with all and at the end a joint solve of a new easy puzzle led to a FTF Thank you pantspeople for putting this event on and organizing it all.
#18739 - 11:00:00 AM; First cache back after the European Adventure. Nice to catch up with the local caching crowd again and compare notes with some of the others who are also recently returned from OS. A good roll up and a bit of fun before the big GF later in the day. Plenty of cleaning up done as well. TFTC pantspeople
Should be able to squeeze this in before grand final/Epsom day shenaniganssee you there!
After missing many local events recently due to work / travel Im looking forward to coming along to this one! See you there
Chooo ooo [Attended] with dty73 youban Joolay and many others! Thanks pantspeople!
Great event. Well organised. Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. Glad I came. Kutgw
A great catch-up here, and we left the area much cleaner than it was when we arrived. Thanks for hosting, pantspeople.
Nice turn up for this CITO and looks like there was a lot of rubbish to be found in this area too. Caught up with some follow travels to discuss all this travel then headed to the game up there hill.Nicely done. Thanks for hosting another great CITO event with a twist pantspeople.
Great turn out, and a great way to fill in that late morning on grand final day! Ive been a hardcore Brisbane Lions fan for about a week now, so lets hope it ends well ??No shortage of rubbish to clean up around here so great selection of location, and well done to the CO for setting up the [FTF] game. Thanks!Go Lions
Wonderful to slowly clean up the environment as a group. Fun cache activity reinforcing the need to sharpen my skills. Surely the person closer to ZERO should be the winner showing courage, shame, ignorance in game technique etc.. Hmm ?? maybe not! Well done buckoraider on your well deserved win ??- I note your alliance to the Raiders ?? so your great skills on display today is probably not a fluke and impressive. However, others did give you a run for the prize. Thanks for the event and fun ?? pantspeople.
I was quite impressed/disappointed by the amount of rubbish we collected here today. The broken chair and microwave were expected, as theyd been abandoned on Bruce Ridge for many months (and probably years!). Kudos to everyone who participated - this part of Bruce Ridge is looking much better Also, well done to buckoraider on his FTF for showing great AFL prowess! Happy grand final day to all, and up the Lions!--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------In the spirit of reconciliation we would like to acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of country on which we geocache throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community. Came along with ilook4geo to help clean up this area as part of a large CITO group. We followed some tracks and found quite a bit of rubbish to add at the end of the time to all the other well filled bags. For the whole group it was a job well done. Thanks got to pantspeople for hosting this CITO.
# 8897 This is the first 'Banana's CITO I've made it too as Saturday morning is problematic for me. Glad I made it though as I caught up with some recently returned cachers. I think I came second in the FTF playoff, but was clearly outclassed by buckoraider in the end. Thanks pantspeople for the fun event on this auspicious day.
Did a big shared bag of rubbish here with goingplaces2 and it was surprising what the whole group achieved. Well done to everyone! Thanks for organising go to pantspeople.
Attended between 1100 and 1135. I walked around with going places2 and i look for geo, and we earned our terrain stars. A quick chat with my favourite bus driver, then I had to take off. I missed the fun and games, but hopefully next time I will be able to attend the whole thing. Thanks pantspeople for arranging the CITO.
Spur of the moment CITO for me here! AngelG27 let me know this one was on so I swung by to help clean things up! Wandered around with AngelG27 and TikvaNZ to fill up our trash bag full of stuff.Good to see everyone's efforts resulted in a decent haul of trash removed from the environment!I was a spectator at the end watching the 'kick off'! Thanks for the fun CITO, pantspeople
Had planned to attend this one today, being I needed a CITO and this would be my first Bananananana CITO too. Teamed up with the FFLL ladies to fill a bag with a decent amount of rubbish which was clearly tossed from car windows.... Also managed to find 2 hub caps and a heap of chipboard wood which appears to have previously been a piece of furniture. Once rubbish gathering was done, we all made our way upto the game area and I surprised myself getting into the 3 way tie for first, but alas, I had my backside handed to me in the play off, so a third for me.Thanks for the CITO and the fun game pantspeople
#21184 @1115It was a good turnout today, with lots of rubbish collected. And a perfect opportunity to catch up with other returned travellers. Thanks for the event.
Find#5544Nice hiding placeWhat a nice event to clean up the area Thanks for the cache
Happy AFL Grand Final Day! What a fun event, I missed The Longest Kick for this event but the target practice game was so worth it! I was committed to locking my banana though in my Bulldogs attire (even though we're not playing today) and the banana didn't work out the best (the banana was definitely worse for wear too) but oh well, it's all for fun! Picked up a lot of rubbish and it was lovely catching up with friends who have just come back from being overseas. Nice warm day, now I'm home awaiting party pies and sausage rolls before the big game. TFTE PP!
Attended with no notice. Managed to score a park at the posted coordinates and picked up some rubbish with TikvaNZ and SpecimenX. Then caught up on some gossip before watching the FTF kick off. Thanks PP for hosting these CITO events to help clean up our game board!
Nice amount of rubbish picked up today. Lovely to catch up with everyone too Great event thanks for organising pantspeople
An excellent CITO as always. Thanks for the fun. Didn't sign the log but I was there
Greetings CITO fans! A reminder that if you wish to compete for FTF (or just play a banana-themed game), bring a banana. A clue for the game: it has something to do with a once a year event that is on the same day as this CITO will be, and also a certain TV program that used to air most weeks, in the morning of a day of the week beginning with S. Bonus points will be awarded if you bring a certain yellow variant of a typically red object to the CITO. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------In the spirit of reconciliation we would like to acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of country on which we geocache throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community. Looks like I will NOT be there, due to now going to a conference.
I will eat a banana instead.
I will eat a banana instead.
Will attend before going home to watch the AFL Grand Final (hopefully the Dogs will be there)!
