Cache # 11197 on 7 Apr 2024After solving (and not solving) a few puzzles over the weekend, it was definitely time for a meander. After meeting TikvaNZ at another cache, I decided to head into Mulligans Flat for a walk and grab a few caches. I had not visited the Wild Bark centre before, so that was a pleasant surprise! The Wetland walk lived up to its name and my feet were soaked on return to the cafe. Quick find. Thank you The Farmers 5 for the cache and the fun!

8th of 16 found today.Out and about with FFP on a warm afternoon to view what they've done with the place. The last time we were in the area there was work commencing on building the water feature nearby. Looks a bit different but disappointing that the houses seem a lot closer. It was a very pleasant if warm sojourn and we did about 8km all up. Cut and paste logs sorry. The cache is in good condition.TFTC The Farmers 5 and the triumvirate

In Canberra for the Mega event. I booked my accommodation almost a year ago, assuming my kids wouldn't be coming... my son, however, was super keen. When we registered, we received our bag of goodies, including the Bingo and Space Hunt. These are normally things that I would not complete. My son, however, wanted to make it our mission. After he had completed the Bingo form, we set out to complete the Space Hunt. We were in the wild bark sanctuary, so we decided to collect the trads nearby. We had a quick find and then spent some time bird watching and reading about the wetlands.TFTC

I attended an event here the night before and was intrigued by the animals displayed and the impending tour. Tonight was my turn to see what animals could be found on a night tour at Wildbark. Many thanks to our geocache leaders and the professional tour guides. I was part of a group who signed at Tour 2 or something along those lines. It was a cool tour. I can't believe how many cool critters we saw. The geocaches were a bonus. This one was as quick a find as it could be in the dark. Thank you for the smiley and the fun!The day:Today was day 1 of my time in Canberra for the GeoBash Mega and getting to spend time with my friends. Hooray! It all started with a an awesome tour and then Joolay was my tour guide to a lot of other cool caches. What a great way to start off my time here. And the added bonus is spending time with my FRIENDS!Many thanks to all the geocachers who placed and continue to maintain their geocaches for folks like me to find. I know it's not always easy, but know that I appreciate you.

During our weeks trip with Bare Foot Guru, Infoferret and Trinity to the Canberra Mega we logged as a combination of "BFG, CF, BIC, BITC" depending on who we were caching with at the time. The trip took us on a flight to Melbourne first, then a drive to Canberra, followed by a drive to Sydney before flying out again. Where possible I will add commentary to each find about the cache. Thanks for all the caches, hides and effort put into hiding and maintaining them.Signed as Tour 2. Quick find after our attraction to the sign

With another warm day, I headed out for a short walk to try and get the Wildbark caches I had missed due to wet weather last week. l then got caught up in two other caches and made a phone call for some help and ended getting invited on a walk in the Bonshaw Grasslands with Domsky. We managed to reach four caches over a 4.5km walk each way, sometimes on track and sometimes not. We met two groups of Rangers and saw a very impressive native grass propagation facility. I was very happy to get back to the car and home for a late lunch and a big drink of cold water.I made it to this one without even getting my gum boots damp. Plenty of birds about and very sunny out here on the Dam wall. Thanks for the cache The Farmers 545085.1 TNLNVisited: World Traveling Gold GC A#6 & April 2020 Kar the Old A#416**Albida**

Found on a night time adventure as part of the Wildbark Tour Group after the Christmas event. After all the recent rainfall, the approach to this cache was decidedly soggy, so it was great when our young tour guide volunteered to retrieve the cache given he was wearing rubber boots! A very easy find for the rest of us!! TFTC.

02-Dec-23
Found on the Wildbark tour - a great night wandering the area with torches looking for animals. I had tried to get to this cache earlier in the day but had called it because there was too much water blocking access. The muggle tour leader went in with their gum boots on and made the find for us. So much fun. Thanks for hiding this cache The Farmers 5 for me and others to find.

Very wet but the tour guide had their wellies on, so assisted, yay! Found as part of the wildbark tour.Attended the event and stayed for dinner and the tour. Loved the enthusiasm and knowledge of our tour guides. They even retrieved the caches that were too wet for the group to get to! It was very wet underfoot in a few places but dry feet around. With the recent rain, the yabby flowing down the roadway was a highlight! Lots of other animals spotted also and a good opportunity to experience the area and learn more about it and the animals.

Find # 10629Signed as WBT for the Wildbark Tour. As part of the GeoBash tour, dinner firstly at Wildbark Cafe, then an educational presentation on WOMA python, bearded dragon, and shingle back lizard. Then off on a sunset tour of Mulligans Flat.We spotted a in the road, a spotted quoll, red neck wallaby, sugar glider, a bettong, an echidna, and a yabby of all things. He was swimming up the road so just goes to show you how wet it was. Not raining at the time but had been raining the past few days with some good rainfall tallies. This was indeed a group find! Thanks so much for the many caches The Farmers 5 and of course for giving me a reason and incentive to get out here, and to experience this part of the world in a different light

#19037 - 11:28:00 AM; Arranged to meet up with some fellow cachers in Braddon and collected a couple of caches on my way there. After the mission was completed, I collected another couple in the city before heading for home. I still needed a couple of finds for a current mini-mission I'm working towards, so stopped off for this one to wrap up the mission. No problems making the find once I arrived at GZ and my name is now in the log. TFTC The Farmers 5 Smile
