Logs
Nice quiet street, found the loose bag there in the end, might come back for some laps of the stairs thanks
Joint effort with The Silvas this morning. We had read the logs and realised that the container was missing. We were searching for just the log in a plastic bag. Soon located. Thanks.
We were a bit surprised to find it in a plastic bag and no container but find it we did! Thanks for the cache.
Found but dont think thats the right container. Didnt have a spare bison or small container to replace. Glad it was at the bottom of the stairs rather than the top looking up from the hide.TFTC
Bison tube isnt there just the plastic bag. Fun anyway.TFTCTilly rose and dad
This took much longer than expected bur after a systematic search we had cih. Tftc
walked to here from the point. Nice and early so no one about. Another one 10M out,. so it must be my phone. This one has no container, just a log in a baggie, and is not hidden under anything natural. Wood is natural, but this bit is not. TFTC
Accompanied oldmorty to avenge his previous DNF.Nice quick find with an extra pair of eyes.TFTC
Glad to reverse a dnf that I had here a couple of weeks ago with the help of frazeydaze. TFTC
be careful of the locals, an elderly woman patrolling the street just confronted me, telling me i dont look like i should be here and that i have to leave. i hadnt even started looking for the cache yet as she approached me just before i got to the stairs. she was incredibly rude so be careful!
Had the area to myself for thirty minutes and I thought that I looked under every rock.
Found It!Found just the logbook and bag here, no container to be seen.TFTC
Final cache this morning. Up the stairs, looking in vain for a bison tube.No bison tube, just a little clip lock bag.TFTC
On a day off, I went on a caching extravaganza around the Spit area. This was 3 of 10 and was a great find. Thanks vk2df for the instructions on whats the new one is. And TFTC to Batapus16!
Quickly had CIH, well ziplock bag in hand. SL but strangely the container is missing, nice gums on the bay side of the road below
Thank heavens for the geocaching community cache definitely needs some love and attention by the owner great views now the big climb back up the stairs
Another great sydney view. Thanks vk2df for the lateral cache hide. And Bindiguider for the bag! TFTC
10227 (2 of 5 today)Today's foray into *Caching Immortality+* involved five hides near The Spit. I deliberately avoided a cache with numerous DNFs only to see from more recent logs that it was there all the time. Sigh. But I got everything I went for, and had a pleasant walk along a bush track - even if the initial part of the walk seems steeper than the last time I was here.*+ Description may not be accurate!*###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###Glad I read the previous logs.Still took a little while to track this one down, at which point the muggle neighbour used their chair lift.Signed, replaced as found and time for my bushwalk.SLTNLNTFTC
A little higher than first thought but just as vk2df said but now in a plastic bag thanks to Bindi guider TFTC
After reading vk2df's log I moved up the steps a little for a quick find, cache needs some TLC, thanks.
Stopped off on my way home from work today, after a morning shift, to have a look at some of the new Traditional caches that have recently appeared around Beauty Point. This was the 2nd of 3 finds for today. This one was next on my list, parking the geomobile on Pearl Bay Avenue and taking the stairs down to Delecta Avenue, after accidently driving right past the direct pathway down to GZ. Walked a short distance along Delecta Avenue and soon arrived at the pathway and GZ. Checked in a few spots before finding the log sheet just laying on the ground, with no container anywhere to be seen. TNLNSL, and then replaced where found, but placed the log sheet within a small piece of square metal fence post off-cut, and covered with a small flat piece of sandstone to give the log sheet some sort of protection from the elements and to stop it blowing away. Needs a CO visit. TFTC batapus16.Find #6582
Spent too long poking around the bush in front of the house next to the stairs, when I saw the stairs I turned over many rocks and found at least 2 spots that would be PERFECT for a cache and it wasnt there!
Found - no container- paper log only . Didnt have pencil with me . Earlier wire clue was good.
#13116 17:25A long sheet without a container. That will not last very.long...TFTC batapus16
After having found beauty point street library, we went for this cache. Happy that we did not have to ascend all the way up these stairs, especially on a hot day like today.
I was siting having a coffee a few suburbs away, waiting for a dude to move on from a hide I was hoping to smiley when the notifications came in. Why not head over as there are few from the CO I haven't found. Arrived to find a rickety set of ancient long high altitude stairs which ended up being the easy part. The neighbour was downsizing his green waste on the road so smiled and started to head up. Got halfway and thought I would return for a quick look when Jackscruff appeared at the bottom of stairs. Did the chat, waved to the guy and then spied the colour that was out of place. Signed, re hid and headed off to find the other 2 hides from this CO. TFTC!
Well after previously chatting with the CO about new hides when I saw this published while eating lunch I thought I'd better go for the {FTF}.So abandoned lunch and headed off to Beauty Point, following google which told me to go the wrong way along a one way street.Arrived at the bottom near GZ - they sure are some steep and long stairs! It must be garbage day in this suburb as bins and green waste were out and the muggle who lives beside the stairs was out playing with his stuff. I looked up the stairs and saw another cacher, Morty8888, coming down. That was actually very lucky as we stood near GZ and "chatted" enjoying the view and pointing in various directions while the muggle watched us. Finally he seemed to be happy with us meeting there and went up in his inclinator lift and out of sight. A short discussion about the hide and was spotted. {FTF} shared with Morty8888.Watch out there's stray wire at about eye poking out level nearby.TFTC # 5686
Today I needed to go to appointment in Balgowlah, but I had an hour to burn. So after my mate (batapus16) told me his 3rd cache got published, I knew it was perfect for todays afternoon caching. Coming from the top of the stairs, I walked down what felt like 300 steps to GZ. Having a look around, after about 2 minutes I spied the cache hidden away. The colour of it was a little bit of a giveaway, but none the less it was probably your coolest one yet batapus!Anyway, now I had to walk along the foreshore walk to the Spit where I got to Balgowlah with plenty time spare!TFTC, #148
