No luck here today. One reason was this location being Muggle Central today, and we could not do a more thorough search.
This was the last of our mornings jaunt out with The Silvas. Easy parking nearby. After a brief search Don Silva found it. Many thanks for placing.
Had a good idea what we were looking for and didnt take long to have the cache in hand. Thanks
Very clever little cache and lovely venue. Amazing place to take family visiting Sydney.TFTCTilly rose, mum and granny
That took a while. Kinda knew what I was looking for but GPS would not settle so re read description and tried to apply some logic and got it. All dry surprisingly. TFTC
#15098 8:20On the way to Manly Wharf for a meet up with other walkers, I did take a slight detour before crossing the Spit bridge.A quick find was made between the rocks.TFTC batapus16
One of the best caches ever! You need a stick, really good camo, it is a fair way down.
Log has dissapeared. Must be the right container, as you dont see those in every day life.
Which side. Phone jumping all over the place. Started on the right side, as there where it was. Fair way down. This one has no log. Found the fake. Needs Maintenance.
Found in the early morning gloaming, avenging a previous DNF, not what I was expecting, thanks
Accompanied oldmorty to avenge his previous DNF.We were lucky to get a park right next to the start of Figtree Walk to begin our search. It took a while for oldmorty to end up with CIH.TFTC
had to do a couple of laps of the path to find the right place. happened to have a torch on me which definitely helped (altho probably looked far more sus so i hope nobody saw) TFTC!
Thought I'd put my hand in every hole feeling for something fake but all I got was dirty hands.
Found It!This one took a lot of searching but eventually I looked in the right hole and found the cache!TFTC
(2 of 2 today)Back from NZ and time for a few local caches. Grabbed two near The Spit - thatll keep the Calemdar Caching gods happy for now.###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###Got a park next to the trailhead and started the search. It actually didnt take me too long to find the right hidey hole.Took a short distance to complete signing duties. Then returned for the replace. Then away for a little retail therapy.SLTNLN TFTC
Had a day off so went on a caching extravaganza. This was 6 of 10 on a fun filled day around the Spit. A nice and easy hide this one, TFTC.
Sweet DNA revenge on a rainy day with no muggles around. OCW Brewmaker. TFTC batapus16
Being as I was passing the Spit and it had been confirmed that the cache was still in place I decided to give it another try. I was lucky and got the closest parking spot near GZ for my geomobile.I walked down to the area and began a systematic search. I noticed many of the cracks and crevices now had sticks poking out of them so although there's only been one logged DNF since I was here I think there have been many more cachers trying there luck.Within 2 minutes I had CIH. Don't know why I didn't find it last time. Maybe it was the glarey sunlight that day, maybe I didn't put my arm far enough into the crevice, who knows but now I have successfully found it!I'd like to be able to remove the Needs Maintenance/Owner Attention Required icon which I left but only the CO can do that.TFTC # 5780
Noticed the string of DNFs and red spanner on this cache and, as I was the last cacher to find it, stopped off on my way home from work today to give it a check. I can happily report that the cache is exactly where & how I found it on the 13th January, and it's safe & well and eagerly waiting to be found. Happy caching everyone
I believe this may be AWOL as I spoke to 2 previous finders. Can CO please check on it!
After all the DNFs, no I couldn't find it either, and the torrential storm last night, it is quite possible the cache has been dislodged from it's hiding spot and is now missing. Needs a CO check.
Stopped off on my way home from work today, after a morning shift, to have a look at some of the new Traditional caches that have recently appeared around Beauty Point. This was the 3rd of 3 finds for today. This one was next (and last) on my list, parking the geomobile very close to the cache on Pearl Bay Avenue, then following Fig Tree Walk down to GZ. Took longer than expected, missing it on my first pass, but I eventually uncovered the hide and had CIH. TNLNSL, and then replaced the very familiar cache container type as it had been found. Now it's time to navigate back onto Spit Road to continue my journey homeward. TFTC batapus16.Find #6583
FIRST EVER FTF @11:20am!!!Before doing some caching with batapus, I grabbed this one before we started without help from him since this was his cache. I sprinted from the bus stop praying that it was a blank log sheet, and sure enough after spotting the cache, I opened up container to see a lovely fresh log which I signed FTF then replaced as found.TFTC for my first FTF, #186
