Well that is doneIt all went the hard way but got it in the finishA chapter of errorsThanks for the richmond tourPhotos all sent to CO one at a time
Thanks, a school holiday challenge, now I am about to give your XYZYX a go (this one may take more time lol)
Ideally I wanted five caches today but ones that are easily accessible due to a dislocated toe. This fitted the bill but I started out in the full-on rain combined with thunder and lightning. I was over it by the third photo and was heading back home when the rain subsided, so I decided to continue on again and by the time I had got round them all the sun had come out. Talk about four seasons in one day! Enjoyed the tour round all the familiar spots thanks Agazo. TFTVC # 22,443
It wasn't going to be a day for the numbers as some caches took a while to complete.No coords were needed for any of the locations to visit and waiting for the schools to have started paid off.Thank you Agazo
It was time to get out and about looking for some of the caches published since we were last in the wider area.All these waypoints were familiar so it didn't take long to get the photos.Thank you Agazo.
I started this cache yesterday.RG72 was meeting with some people at a local pottery club, and I was told (a) I was surplus to requirements, and (b) I had 45 minutes to do some caching.Given we had got a dozen or so caches that morning in and on the way to Motueka, and I dont have so many around Hope I can find, I was a big stuck for things to do.Then I spotted this one, so decided I would make a start. 5 locations visited then in a bit of a loop, and the other 4 were visited today on the way home to Blenheim.I like the creative accounting on the D/T rating. TFTC Agazo.
Previous visits to all these spots and revisits to get the required photos over a few weeks. Thanks for the tour around town.
Found with Kiwimykl. Refer to his edited log for details.Hopefully the CO will waive the requirement for me to upload the necessary photos, as I am the better looking one in the photos of Kiwimykl's log.TFTC Agazo
Didn't have much to do today so better do this virtual cache. Enjoyed the drive around Richmond
A plan was hatched between myself, the Seagnoid, YetiNZ and TwigNZ to convene in Nelson to attempt to get a first to find on puzzle we had solved at our recent puzzle evening. 'The boys' are flying from Wellington on Sunday, while I drove up from Christchurch on Saturday. Unfortunately I received the notification while driving through the Lewis Pass that the FTF had been claimed, but hey, a day caching in Nelson still sounds fab.Attached are the 9 photos required, all featuring That Darn Bear! Thanks for the cache.
TwigNZ, YetiNA and I came over from Wellington, met up with ThatDarnBear for some touring of the Neslon area. Actually we tried to get a FTF, but alas missed it by only a few hours. and since we are down this end of town, and since I like virtuals then we stopped here. Okay, we stopped here, there and everywhere!
A last minute Sunday jaunt to Nelson for the day was originally planned around a hopeful first to find of a recently published puzzle cache. Sadly, it was a gamble that did not pay off. However the four of us that made the the trip all had plenty of unfound geocaches in the area and so the day was spent driving around and collecting key geocaches for various needs and / or wants, or sometimes just because they were there and so were we. Special thanks go to That Darn Bear for being our personal shuttle service for the day, and putting up with the rest of us behaving like the backseat driving Geocaching children that we are.A very fun virtual that gave us good reason to drive around to all sorts of local destinations, which in turn had us finding all sorts of other Geocaches. Who knew there were so many oversized things here, a big chicken, a big tree stump, so many wonders to behold.---Thanks to Agazo for placing and maintaining this cache. I enjoy each and every cache I find, and it is only with Geocachers like this creating them and placing them out in the world that this wonderful game continues.[DGSc-Bulk] tagging to help me generate a list for GC30AD8 - DGSc Challenge.
Today I was spending my day in Nelson with YetiNZ, ThatDarnBear and the Seagnoid on a impromptu geo-trip. We had hoped to get a FTF on a solved puzzle but there were many other reasons for being here, not least of which is that it is such a wonderful part of our nation to visit and explore and I always enjoy coming here.As is usual for us in these circumstances, we attempted to come up with a team name for the day. Typically it's a play on caching initials, and occasionally we struggle due to a lack of vowels! But we had a Y, so we decided to be team MYST for the day even though we didn't have an M. I guess we just liked the name, but in any case MYST were Myself, YetiNZ, the Seagnoid and ThatDarnBear.I knew that I would most likely get my 9,000th cache on this little trip, and sure enough this was the one. I had spotted this virtual when we were doing some quick planning a couple of days ago, and I liked the sound of it. We had a lot of fun visiting the locations and taking our photos. In many of the instances, we were (at least in spirit) "doing a Barb" which is a local pun for a certain style of cache retrieval, so I apologise for the poor quality of some of my photos.Thanks for creating this memorable cache for me to mark a milestone with, FP given accordingly
Found on this windy day with Ulmuslynx.we had a lot of fun doing this cache Thank you for the cache and for bringing us here
Trouve ! / Found it ! Petite visite de Richmond grce cette cache la cotation intressante. Voici donc mes photos 5307me cache trouve.Merci Agazo pour la cache A short tour of Richmond thanks to this cache with an interesting quote. So here are my photos 5307th cache found.Thank you Agazo for the cache
We were going to Richmond for other purposes so decided to start collecting photos. We then decided to have a coffee at Joe's Garage and complete the photos. The only awkward one was Berrylands as there were children climbing the wavy feature but luckily there was a quiet few seconds. Certainly an eclectic mix of sites.Thanks.
We were heading off to do some cache checks/finds with Ginger Tribe today and while we were waiting for them we started this virtual. The aquatic centre which was planned for 25+ years before finally being built, Berryfields where we used to pick fruit at Christmas, Richmond Cemetery where we have relatives, the chook, the gum tree and the big news when it was cut down, Jubilee Park where the Fireman Games used to be held in the 1970s - oh the chocolate wheel yum yum, speedway where as a kid we rode down in the back of the ute and parked on the embankment to watch the races. The painted boxes are relatively new things around town and the velodrome build was watched with interest as our daughter used to race track and road. Thanks for the virtual.#9702
All sites visited and photos taken. Hopefully I can upload in the right order now. TFTC Agazo. Worthy of a Favourite.
An interesting Virtual. Also an interesting choice of destinations. Out for a drive this morning in an attempt to recommence an FTF streak that was broken last month.TFTVC{ftf}
