Trying out my new scooter bought especially for geo caching. Going well and the rain is holding off.
Saw this one on approach so a nice quick find while lots of traffic goes by! See there are another couple not far away that I will go and look for too. Thanks G_2!
I am still on my mission (refuelling the aliens' space ship) and I must admit, I am terribly behind. That is why I managed to shovel free this beautiful sunny day for a whole day of caching to my heart's content (ok, 3 pm that is). And it is all about numbers today! Increasing the tally! So for that purpose there is probably nothing better than this nice series of caches along the motorway and close by.I borrowed Greenkiwikid-the-youngest's scooter and off I go.Spotted on approaching. Nice. Thanks for hiding and maintaining.Tftc
Decided to come back this afternoon to finish off the rest of the Northern Pathway series. Parked up at the nearby shopping centre and made our way down the road to the GZ. No problems making this our first find for the afternoon.
I'd done enough walking on the SH18 section of the cycle trail and just wanted to tidy up a few more green dots in this area. I'd missed this hide on my first to find mission simply due to time constraints.Today I parked in Rathmullen Place this time thinking it would be a quick walk here. It was and the cache was an easy find. But then, I decided to carry on to try the other two caches nearby. I couldn't find the New World one- turns out a new cache appeared there a few days after I was here. The cache below the garden Centre was too busy road wise and there were people talking close by above in the garden centre. So after my extra walk I had a rather disappointing result. Oh well I can easily park here another day now I know it's a shopping Centre. On my maps the New World carpark looked like a construction site so I wasn't sure I could get in there. Thanks for another smile on your cycle path series
Out with team SEAC on yet another cycle adventure. Nice ride along the cycleway. TFTC
Out with a few members of Team SEAC on our bikes today. Sorry for the generic logs. Thanks so much for placing these caches. All logs signed either SEAC or Team SEAC.
A plan was hatched for available Team Seacers to head over and check out the caches on this new cycleway. NurseDr, UncleSam, Mr Stik-a-Crane, cragger and laval were all keen. The weather was great, company was awesome and caches were of course fantastic! As we got to GZ we all took a section but it wasn't at mine unfortunately. Thanks for the cache.
In the area today with the SEAC group of cachers for a cycle along this newly cache populated cycle way......I had managed to pick the odd on off on previous visits to the area, so today we were going to do the trail in its entirety.....A good variation of cache hides here as expected from this CO, meaning an enjoyable day was had....plus they were all there and in good condition.....Signed in as 'SEAC' to save logbook space as I was joined by Keylev, UncleSamNZ, NurseDr, Laval to name a few.TFTC.
**#20,854**nice pedal free section from 14 to 13, that can only mean one thing from 13 to 12....quickly located this top hide... Did the old lean the bike and stretch technique...
Super fast hide, hidden in plain sight. Flossie was glad I dragged her butt to this one...
Aaaahhhh this one, I remember it well. A couple of months ago when hubbie picked me up from the airport he mentioned having seen the CO along here looking very suspicious. On the way home we stopped at "posh Countdown" for milk (why he couldn't have got some over the weekend I don't know) so I measured the distance from a cache I knew about and had a bit of a nosey in the dark. I was a bit gutted that I couldn't find anything, but it was dark and I had just spent the day caching around Dunedin and Mosgiel, so I was all cached out.Today maplerosenz insisted that we diverted from the cycleway to get this one, and I could see it as we walked up the road.
Out caching the Northern Pathway with Team Welsh this morning. Sherrie had moved the car along to near here and met me and TW at this cache. We are enjoying the variety of hides and containers along the trail. Thanks.
Met Mrs KC here and she had it in hand before we got there. Confirmed our arrangements to meet at the other end and Mr KC and I headed back to find the rest of the trail. TFTC
I had forgotten to log this one while doing the Pathway Series back in March so doing it now. TFTC
M25: after rushing past this cache to get a first to find near the shopping centre, and succeeded, and also got a drink and choc, I relaxingly walked back to this cache, before continuing the second half of the walkway.Nice and easy, log all good and signed. TFTC.
Out and about for some exercise and cache detection along the northern pathway to Albany today. Good weather for it too. After finding number 12 I made sure to detour of the pathway to find this one ad I am trying to find this series in order. I managed to spot this hide on approach, though it actually blends in nicely. Now back to the walkway. Cheers for the cache placement!
I knew it! Hubbie saw you placing this so on my way back from the airport I had a quick look whilst he was getting milk from "posh Countdown". I didn't have time for a proper check so only tried 2 obvious places which weren't the right ones.
Out enjoying a walk between the showers with the Westie girls. Last one of the day for us.With an Easy find we headed back to the car.
Absolutely enjoyed starting on part of this trail today. Many thanks G-2We Westie girls have been keen to do these....no trouble walking it...Sadly, this is all for today.....will be back next Weekend!..Like this type of hide...great paint job.Really love how you are making such a variety of containers...Highly recommend this to anyone.Well done finding this walkway / cycleway, Glyn.
The rain eased and a plan was made to meet up with SN and Net to find a few caches on the Shore. This was our last cache on the trail today. We came from the right direction and spotted this one on our approach. We turned around and made our way back to the car. Thanks G2 for showing us this trail
A short deviation from the main cycleway and a nice sheltered spot out of the sun.We saw the cache as we approached and made a nice quick find.We briefly considered heading up the road further to get the Countdown cache but we remained focused on our mission and left it for another time, which actually ended up being just a couple of hours later. But for now it was off to find number 14.TFTC
Came down quite late and a number of caches were still showing FTF , so gave it a crack - getting the bike ready was now paying off .FTF here , nice straightforward find. Saw Team GeoRick a few minutes after this . You snooze you lose bud . Tftc
