Visiting the Adelaide region for a week from Port Macquarie. Today we headed out to the Barossa, with the main points of interest being a winery (of course), the chocolate factory, and of course the famous Geostuff. Caching wise we mostly targeted ones we had pre-planned on a list but ended up with some extras we happened to be passing as well. We ended the day with a handful back in Adelaide, and an evening walk to grab a few close to our accommodation. Overall, it was yet another very enjoyable and productive day.First stop on our evening walk. Tried this one the other morning but left empty handed. Much better luck this time, noticing something unusual within a couple minutes, very sneaky indeed. Thanks for the cache

Expecting a clever hide we still took a couple of circuits before the well camoed hide waa discoveredTftc

17-Aug-24
After attending the nearby event a few of us came here to find this one. OZGrumpy had arrived before the rest of us and had the cache in his hand which was lucky for us and I'm sure saved us quite a bit of time. We signed the log and the clever cache was replaced,Thanks for the cache Contact Zero a favourite for me.

17-Aug-24
After the nearby event, I dived away alone (wanted to get my car away from that street as quick as possible). I approached this one and was pleased to read I did not need to climb on board. Still, it took around 3 circuits of unfound before I resorted to reading some logs. Still with my phone facing me, my focus extended and a suitable item just magically beckoned me. Strange how things work.My pen would not write on the log. Neither did my other pen. Around 17 circuits my pen had left and O for OZGrumpy, and then I hear another cacher approaching. Not long before there was around 5 of us there, and the log was passed around, and Lib's pen was up to the task. My name is in there in full now. This is yet another keen and cunning hide from the house of Zero. Keep these up, I really like them. Leaving a FP for you here. Thanks for the cache and challenge, find #9910.

We wandered up to this one with the geodog in tow. We searched high and low and checked every bolt. I looked at every bump, I feel I know this machine like the back of my hand now. We were about to leave when I stood back and took in the complete view of it, when I thought, That could be it! A quick tug and it was in my hand. We took a photo of a trackable I picked up yesterday, that is just visiting this site today. Signed the log book and replaced the cacheit blends in so well. TFTC

On my way to have dinner in an igloo with a group of friends I asked my muggle mate to stop nearby so I could find this cache. Its always the way, when youre in a hurry you cant find what youre looking for. I decided to make a quick call to a fellow finder who couldnt help me. Oh well, maybe another day. and then I noticed something and B.I.N.G.O. Woo hoo Now off to an igloo with friends for fun and food.TFTC Contact ZeroKeep smiling

Found after quite a search on my way back down to the city to run a few errands in the early afternoon. Did a quick perusal at first but nothing stood out, then undertook a more thorough examination. Still nothing obvious, until an obscure detail finally took my attention. Thanks for the nicely crafted cache Contact Zero!

A quick little journey with GooseyC for a cache. One single cache... this one. I came in, prepared to be stumped completely. Which I was. A lot of putting hands in different places and feeling around... and hoping I didn't come across a spider.Eventually, we found it! Hooray!!The cache did not disappoint. CZ providing the goods as always. The log was full and we've alerted the CO. Thanks Contact Zero for this traditional cache, which brings Goldy's total find count to 4153 on the 12th of June 2024.

Found at 3:00 pm with Olga, who had given up. I had initially dismissed the cache, but on a second more thorough look it was found

For the record, the expected repair or maintenance required was not needed. It was indeed still in place. But appears to have tricked some folk. So, all good to go.

#19705 - 5:23:00 PM; Day nine of a road trip taking the long way to Adelaide from the National Capital with the geohoney. Arrived in Adelaide on Wednesday and today we headed to Semaphore to check out another of the seaside suburbs. After grabbing some brunch and doing some sightseeing (and caching), we headed back to the city before heading on to Glenelg for dinner. We arrived early, so I set off to grab a few local caches before we looked for somewhere to eat. Had a good look around here before checking something a bit more closely and wound up with the cache in hand. Happy to sign off on this one and another fave for the effort here! Something special or unusual goes here:We arrived at the cache and spent a good ten minutes searching without success. Twisted We were joined by four newish cachers. Once of them quickly had the cache in hand and was about to put it back not realizing what it was. Surprised Yes the camo is that good. Big Grin But I saw what it was and soon all our names were added to the log. Great hide earns a FP from me. [:X]The Generic Bit:Only two or the usual trio of puzzle solvers were available for Tuesday Trekking today. Myself and Mrs. S.A. Sewer Rats. Poor Troggy was not well. Luckily for us OzGruff stepped up and agreed to accompany us in search of puzzles and anything else we came across. [Big Grin Today we started out near Yatala, cruised down to West Beach for an event and then back again. [^] The usual laughs and a picnic lunch. Cool ***Thanks Contact Zero for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. *** Big GrinLogs prepared and published through GSAK.

Two Confused geocachers+OzGuff set out for Mystery Tuesday. The Plan for today was the Starfish picked up the Rat from her nest. Then we set out to pick up OzGuff.WE followed the boxes.Whilst the trio of experienced cachers started their search for this sneaky hide.Four people walked over and started to look for the sneaky hide.We chattered with the four people, NortonSummitCutiesx4.We all resumed our searching, the young lad found the cache and almost put it back. The Starfish asked to look at what the lad had found.Yes this was the cache. We signed the logbook and replaced where we found it. Amazing experience here! Three experienced cachers are striking out. A family of four walks up new cachers and proceeds to find this well hidden container in a few minutes. Loved chatting with them! And we had found their first find earlier today. Absolutely love bumping into cachers on the trail!!

(And a little rubber stamp ) Work gets in the way - and some may take longer to log than others due to mixed technology and need for sleep! The skill and talent of some Zenior Zombies helps, and maybe a spot of luck too [:o)] I do appreciate if you actually did read all this extra addition to the log word count! There's a challenge somewhere out there, or so we've been told! You win a virtual smiley for the effort and getting to the end of the log... someone actually did read to the end and alerted me to just a project GC badge that requires long logs. Is that all? Oh well, thanks for reading!Well at least it's not as bad as finding a mint tin! TwistedDid you get that... stop putting out rusty mint tins, just stop it, now!!! Big GrinC'est fini... This is the last day of our brief tour round the Eyre Peninsula and we are staying here in Glenelg. I have been here before and found some caches here, so Yes I do remember the Glenelg icon that was in this park. I wonder why it was removed? It was late afternoon when we arrived here. Luckily our accommodation is close to this cache.I searched all round the structure with no luck so round I went again, still no luck. As it was obvious the sun was beginning to set I resorted to PAF, back in Sydney. Some suggestions were made and I then quickly found the cache. Hadn't noticed that!My muggle friend with me today was amazed at how sneaky the hide was.TFTC # 5965

Needed to head over the other side of town to check on some recent bodywork and this was one of six caches found while in the vicinity.Had noticed that this one was still in play so it had to be looked for. Looked for quite a while then tried a PAF. It worked, not by knowledge gained but the other way, by spotting the hide while still on the phone. Well crafted. Thanks to Contact Zero for adding to the playing field with this cache.Cache #14827 for me.*This log composed and published using GSAK (Geocaching Swiss Army Knife).*

CO was informed that this cache was missing and appeared to be confirmed via a PAF during their search. So, the CO spent some time fashioning the replacement. However, on arrival at GZ, he was delighted to discover that the original cache was still in its place! Must have been good enough to elude some people. Go Reggie go!

06-Mar-24
After hearing reports from recent cachers attempting to locate Reggie, the CO has concluded that it has sadly gone missing. Will aim to replace in coming days. Thanks for your patience.

04-Mar-24
Checked this today and looks like the cache container has gone walkabouts. Hope gets remedied soon as we love this one!

03-Mar-24
I spent ages here crawling all over this thing and eventually resorted to a PAF who confirmed my suspicions. PAF sent me a photo which indicated where I thought the cache should be was correct however said spot was empty. Gutted especially as it was just found yesterday and has gained a lot of FP in a short space of time . It was still worth me getting the tram from the city so I could partake in my favourite ice cream from Bottega. TFTH Contact Zero hopefully when I next get back to Adelaide I will make the find .

Great hide! Im so satisfied to find it by myself first go. The nasssty parking made me pay for an hour so I got my moneys worth.I spent a little while here circling and touching things. A guy came by admiring the work, are we? And before I got a word in structural engineer by trade, wheres the information board on this. I pointed to it and said I was actually trying to find a geocache on it and yes it was a cool construction but it was like Id said nothing. Weird interaction and I was thinking Id have to abandon the search but Mr engineer decided to move on. Maybe he was taking the piss? Dunno. But I made the find shortly after and was very proud of myself. TFTC

Well after a whirl wind tour of Tasmania to help with 3 challenges that Im working on, I got back in late Tuesday night then packed the Geowagon and headed off to SA early Wednesday morning to attend the Leap Year Mega and to also tick off some LGAs along the way as well.Well after crossing the border the other day and staying in Millicent, Wellington, Cape Jervis, Kingscote and Im now in Adelaide for a week.Well it is the start of Mega week for me and lets see how I go.After catching up with Roaming Howie for a day of LGAs and other caches yesterday, today was a heading north caching day.My navigator GemmaSistema has joined me in the Geowagon and Roaming Howie has ahomburg in the GeoRanger with him and we are heading North to tackle the Premiers of South Australia series and the Its a small world series. After finding all of the premiers and the number 6 we left the others and now it is LGAs for me and any other caches for both of us so we are continuing the drive around the back roads and small towns.Getting back into the outer suburbs now but there is always caches to find.Marking our way back int town and Im turn left and right and left and right which ever way my navigator tells me to head. Its getting close to tea time so we are heading to Glenelg to catch up with a few friends for some food, a couple of beers, to get out of the heat and have a well earned rest. Now on to the next one.We parked the Geowagon and went for a walk around this precinct.Gemma and I came past this one before tea but there was a couple of muggles lying on the ground at GZ.A group of us returned after tea in the dark and with all of us looking this very sneaky cache took a bit to spot.A fav goes out to you for this cleaver and sneaky cache. Thanks Contact Zero TFTC.

It was a true team effort with GemmaSistema, Posums, BernieH, ahomburg and TheTritonz all part of the search team. A very good hide! Our first day of caching towards Adelaide to join in the festivities of the Leap Day Mega. Targeting exciting caches along our route we traveled uncharted locations really enjoying the sights each cache took us to.After dinner with fellow cachers we set off for a night excursion to the Glenelg Jetty. With much frivolity we done some Labcaches along the way and picked up this tricky hide. Took ages with 6 of us searching we finally spotted it, that definitely deserves a favourite. Thanks Contact Zero for the clever placement.

27-Feb-24
Found on an after dinner caching run with Posums, RoamingHowie, ahomberg, BernieH and The_Tritonz. We had to resort to a PAF! Really well hidden - top effort. Fav added. Thanks for the fun and adventure.

Hehehe, went out with CouldveBeenScully to find this one, I joked about where it would be and found it within the first minute. Hi to whoever was on the bike, you definitely didnt scare us for a minute there Really liked this one, Kudos to owner for getting here first. We live down the street and had been thinking of putting one on here for ages before we moved.

Very clever..a favourite! Brilliant work!

19-Feb-24
I wanted a couple of physical caches before heading back up the hill, and now that the wretched tram (and its nano) are gone, I thought this would be a good option, with Glenelg not really in tourist mode this early on a Monday morning. Muggles werent an issue, and on this occasion neither was the cache. This CO has numerous tricks up his sleeve, but I must be starting to think like him because I found it almost straight away.In case you didnt already know, there is also an Adventure Lab question here too (Reg Sprigg, Rock Star, icon at Adelaide Uni in the city. Thanks for this hide Contact Zero. Nice work!! FP.

Freddo, Sallymander, and Alice the Amphibian were taking Milo the Chocolate frog dog for a stroll along the Patter Were Longer. Reg's amazing contraption was on the agenda. We looked for a while. Felt for a while. Poked for a while. Then we went and had a coffee at the nearby cafe. Some messages were sent and a clue returned. Arrived back at ground zero and two cachers were looking, feeling and poking. I walked straight up to the cache and fished it out of the neat hide. Kudos to my support. Cache signed and replaced. The dog got a walk. Somebody had a smiley cookie. Everybody is happy. I am still not going for a ride in that thing. Reg must have been quite mad.I will apologize right now, because everything from here on is here solely for the purpose of padding the word count and winning that one hundred word diamond badge again. Somebody moved the goal posts. So many caches to find. So many caches to log. We find them, sign them and replace them. This particular geocache was found using one of the following GPS enabled devices, Garmin GPSr, Montana 680t, Oregon 650 or Dakota 20 and an Apple iPhone 11 using the marvelous Cachly app. Waypoints and paperless geocaching were downloaded via GSAK 9.
