I was delayed somewhat, arriving about 1640hrs, still managing to pick up a bit, but at least I made it a priority to get here to help the environment, rather than chase all the new FTFs... lolTFTCITO

It was rubbish ??

11-Aug-24
Headed out to the northern suburbs to do my bit for the environment. Picked up a bag of rubbish before heading back home, finding one of the nearby FTF opportunities along the way. Thanks for organising the CITO gridge98!

Attended with Mogni. This island was very clean but the nearby shores could and did get a good clean up. I needed this CITO to get 5 CITO's in this calendar month. Now the long drive home.Found with Mogni. Today we came to attend the Island Clean Up CITO so i could get 5 CITO's in this calendar month. We stopped on the way on the Adelaide CBD to do some adventure labs stages to get some more points for the cosmic quest souvenir event. Then got a few more caches after we got sick of adventure labs on the way to the CITO.

Collected rubbish on the way to the event after some very bush bashy caching on a different island down the road with Earthlight. Great turnout on a very spectacular day! Thanks for the event.

11-Aug-24
I managed to pick up a full bag of rubbish while walking from my car to the designated event coordinates. That rubbish was thrown in a nearby bin and I continued with a few more handfuls of rubbish from around the waters edge before making an early exit. I was running late to pick up my son. Lots of rubbish today. We certainly made a difference. ??Thank you gridge98, for placing Island Clean Up for the geocaching community.# # SmileSmile #15176 SmileSmile # #

Sir_spectre and I came along to help clean up the area, we didn't get a chance to pick too much as the island itself was pretty clean, the nearby waterways however were messy but lots of geocachers already collecting rubbish. Thanks

I've never seen so many people so happy to do their bit for the environment.A special event for Unssys. Driving there from Gawler, we had time, so we popped in at our travel bug hotel, to settle some new bugs. We arrived over the bridge at about 3.40pm. Navigation on the phone, talking to a friend and ping, email.Quickly hung up, looked at the first cache, was 3 minutes from where we were. Reet navigation. Found a car park, walked to the GZ and with the great hint hunted. Took us a few minutes to find, all the time, looking behind us for the usual FTF.Very excited we rocked up at the CITO 4 minutes past the hour Thanks Connor for our fun and adventure.Having found the area fairly clean, we collected a bag of rubbish in the car park.

An interesting CITO!! At about 15 minutes before the CITO was to commence, a slew of caches were published in the same suburb. A dilemma for some maybe, but I was keen for the CITO and pressed on. There was actually more republish off the island than on it. My find of the day was a drivers licence, but it had expired a few years ago, so just plain rubbish. And how often does a CITO get mistaken for a wedding? This is a good spot to get plastics and other rubbish out of the creek before it hits the mangroves; we should come here more often. Thanks for organising this gridge98 and courtneyrose.
