We looked at the feasibility of coming to King Island for the event to mark the historic achievement. However, we "fell a the first hurdle". The cheapest airfares from Burnie/Wynyard to King Island for the two of us was over $1000 - ridiculous given that it is a 40 minute flight! Then there would have been accommodation and hire car costs.So sacada and Aquilus1 - congratulations as you the end of your quest. It will be a magnificent achievement. We will be with you in spirit.
This is nuts! I land in Currie today for a 3 night trip away with the wife, and of course check out what caches are around.i dont have this LGA yetand there is an event onwith only my fellow Canberra geocachers attending.Probably wont have dinner, but will definitely try pop in and say hello.Congrats on getting ALL.OF.THEM, i have been chipping away but I think im about 150 behind you guys.
Unfortunately my wife has tested positive to Covid so for safety sake I will not be attending.Bummer.
We are planning to be there. Just have to finalise a few thing to be sure.Will let you know in a few days for sure.
What a shame. I will be on King Island that week but will have left by the time of your event. I hope to find a few caches while I'm there, if I can escape from the rest of the group!
