We are travelling with Pprass and after a small delay at the hospital in Whyalla for an Xray for Mr Morris we have now arrived in Cleve for a couple of days. So much to see and do here and the weather has been sunny and conducive to getting out and about. Today we headed around town and country towards Cowell for lunch collecting some caches and AdLabs. Thanks for the tour around the area Team Piggy
Found at 3:39 PM in the company of The Morris. On our way to find Picnic Point and we stopped to search for the hidden plot, but gave up and just found the cache. Thanks to Team Piggy

On a 9 week road trip from Brisbane and staying in Cowell for a few days. Thought I'd spend the afternoon on my bike to explore Cowell and also look for geocaches along the way. Co-ords were a little out but I looked in an obvious place and soon found the cache
Staying in Cowell for a couple of nights. Off to Cleve for a day drive. Never been over this way
OCW PelDroedGwin and geodog Peppa We didnt attempt this cache on our last visit to Cowell so I was keen to find it this visit. Tftc
We had an interesting wander in the cemetery, looking for the graves of ancestors. It's good they are trying to identify and mark the graves without a headstone as one of our ancestors didn't have a headstone. Good to find a cache close by. The cache was found on the 31st. Tftc
Thanks Team Piggy for this quick find cache. We were in the cemetery visiting ancestor's graves. And have spent time tracking down the old farm. Many thanks to some wonderful locals who have gone way out of their way to assist us.
TFTC Team Piggy your cache Cow that we found today. Arrived in Cowell and set up at the RV camp. After lunch we went for a short explore around town using the AL and some caches as a guide.Find Count: 17586
Found after 11 years of having this one as a DNF. Passing through Cowell and picked it up. Not sure where I was looking all those years ago. TFTC
Day 2 at Cowell and we headed out early to beat the heat. We had a plan that soon went out the window so we just cached the day away like we usually do. Lots of Lightning and Thunder around! .... a quick find here which was handy as the storm was nearly upon us! TFTC
Find#5975Nice hiding place What a epic road trip exploring Australia Thanks for the cache
Making my way to play golf at the Streaky Bay open on the weekend. Day 2 after an overnight stay in Cowell went and grabbed some caches around the area while waiting for mate to arrive on the ferry. Caches were in good condition unless mentioned in the log. TFTC
My 10th and last day of my trip heading to and around the Eyre Peninsular. I stayed at Cleve overnight before finally making my way home after a great 10 days away. This cache would be find number 13 of 19 for the day and find Number 241 in total for this trip away.
Not sure how I missed doing this one last time I was here but rectified that this time around.

Found during a trip to Eyre Peninsula for a few days. Very nice to find one of SA's early caches, now over 20 years in place. Thanks for the cache Team Piggy!
Nice little town, great chunky pie at the bakery and a nice old cache here!
GreyHams and myself set out on a three day SA caching trip after a super early start to the first day. The best start really though as by 9am and two planes later we had landed in Port Lincoln and into our rental car ready to set off! Local Government areas were our primary target, although many others of interest made the list, oldies, types and DT... Each offered some unique and often spectacular location, if your cache made our list, thank you!
Day 1 saw us landing in Port Lincoln and caching our way up towards Ceduna, a long but productive day saw us driving into Port Augusta just on dark a solid 12 hours after we had set off on the road.
Day 2 and we made the drive north from Port Augusta where we were based for the trip. The scenery on the drive to Roxby Downs changed often from little salt bush plains, shrub, salt lakes and to the amazing vast flat and empty, I loved the vast flat views... always spotting something in the middle of all the nothingness. Emus featured in huge numbers often, red dirt appeared... something I have been seeking so it was great to see it and finally get my feet into it all! Back into Port Augusta we set off for a loop in the south of the Flinders towards Quorn and out to Orroroo before returning just as the sun set to collect the last pizzas just as the shop shut for the day.
Day 3 was our last but just as full, although we only needed to get to Port Lincoln for our plane home late in the day we had many caches of interest plus a few walks along the way so took most of the day to make the distance leaving the odd cache off as we watched the clock!
Each day was full of such varied scenery, all quite stunning in their own way and led to a very enjoyable and fun trip. Thank you for your cache that guided us through the area and helped to highlight some of the great locations we got to visit.

Drive right up to it, though that may not have been the smartest idea

Aquilus1 & myself on yet another caching mission into South Australia, this time it was to go out west to collect all the LGA's out there.
This area of South Australia is so interesting as you can drive and be in a completely different planet within an hour. Red gums, to mallee scrub, to saltbush, to nothingness and then back again!
STarting and finishing in Port Lincoln, but with Port Augusta as our main base we explored the Eyre Peninsula, east out to Ororroo and north to Roxby Downs. It was a short but fun little trip. Thanks to all the CO's for placing caches

Caching with a newb and stopped off to find this one . Certainly not what I expected and size listed and my brain didn't match but a fou d it occurred nonetheless!!! TYFTC it was great to show another person the best bits of this game. Appreciate the cache being placed here
Travelled to the North West a bit with Purrfect Di to avoid the rains back home.
Turned out this worked quite well as we only had a couple of showers for the whole weekend and saw some great scenery and found the odd cache or two!
A nice quick find of an older cache hide,, and then a small tour of the dead centre of town.
Grateful to Team Piggy for placing and maintaining this cache on our SA geo-map

Travelling around - searching, spotting and signing cache logs using some or all of the resources of GSAK (Geocaching Swiss Army Knife), Whereyougo, Garmin Montana 750i, Montana 680t, Etrex 35, Samsung S21u, Samsung S9, with Geocaching App, c:Geo, or Geooh Go, and Android Auto and other maps... or often with just a guyess or plain old dumb luck
Plenty of that luck stuff actually !!!
*All the online logs are composed and published with GSAK of course.*
---
Beware! Caching is a very hazardous activity!
Look out for sand, mud, snakes, surprise cliffs, roos, wombats, things falling from trees, bulldust, and floods, and sharp rocks in your tyres
try not to get tetanus from rusty mint tins and don't fall off your ladder...
-- -- -- -- -- -- -- and do watch out for germs and bugs !!! . [xx(]
Make Travel Bugs the Only bugs you share and pass on
Keep your distance - cache the countryside
Really fantastic of all those placing quality caches out and about around the country areas,
in sensible safe places especially! - it keeps our game safe, fun, and interesting
Thanks so much for reading all this extra addition to the log word count! There's a challenge somewhere out there, apparently! You win a virtual smiley for the effort and getting to the end of the log Maybe if I worked out where I could do it and go back to normal logs again !

Thanks for the info - most interesting! Enroute to Port Lincoln with time to stop in this lovely well kept historic town and ride around on trusty ‘treadles’. Day 15 in SA after numerous trips were sabotaged due to you know what and its a fab day. The Ikera- Flinders Ranges, Whyalla, Port Lincoln and a few in between caches are high on the list along with several other random caches so hoping to tick all boxes before heading back to home base. I’ve learnt theRE are plenty of quality SA caches - plenty to pique the curiosity and anticipation of another surprise or fun cache. TFTC AND THE FUN and the effort to contribute to this fave game. Fave for longevity!
Another cache found during our 2022 South Australia Adventure using Geocaching as our guide.
Thanks Team Piggy, we made a quick find today.

I was concerned the GPS kept pointing me to the centre of the recently bulldozed intersection. But a liitle bit of searching found cache and log well covered and in good condition.

Another Team Piggy oldie to add to Mrs Geo’s Jasmar. Container badly damaged, so replaced with a new one. Log OK. On the hunting trail again with SeasonedBird. It’s a great day for caching. TFTC Team Piggy

We were back on the road again after staying at Port Gibbon with ilook4geo and caching our way along towards Whyalla. This was one of the caches we found and there was no problem in locating it. Log was signed with two more names and all was replaced as it had been found. Thanks go to Team Piggy for placing this cache.
Caching along the highway with goingplaces2 and having a good day. Heading towards Whyalla and making a lot of nice easy finds. TFTC.
On a road trip around the Mid North and Eyre Peninsula, geocaching as I go. Predominantly targeting old caches, solved mysteries and grabbing some interesting looking traditionals.
This cache was flagged as a must do due to its age. On the first pass through my initial search I missed the obvious place. I widened my search and still nothing. A little concerned due to obvious recent tractors in the area I thought this golden oldie was gone. But then I spotted it. Phew. This cache lives on.
Thanks for the cache Team Piggy.

Today we were heading down to Crowell but had a few things to do in town first and then I wanted to get the last few in the FTF series close to Whyalla.
We then headed to Cowell collected caches along the way.
We loved Cowell especially the oysters and spit roast at the pub.
TFTC great to find an oldie

TNLNSL. Container lid is breaking up badly .
We were limited for time, so didn't go looking for your grandfathers resting spot .
Thanks Team Piggy. Our oldest cache find for the day [^].

Brad and Janet had planned two overseas trips this year. But COVID-19 put an end to those plans.
However it is an ill wind as they say. We recently went to Arkaroola and the Gammon Ranges for a great trip. There have also been some shorter troops around SA.
This time the plan is to explore the Eyre Peninsula in a leisurely manner. And perhaps grab a few geocaches along the way.
Today is day 4. Heading from Cowell to Port Lincoln with stops at Port Neill, Tumby Bay, and a beach drive at Boston Point. And grabbing a few caches along the way.
Quick find and sign of this old one and then its on we go.

Went for a drive across to Coffin Bay today, and although geocaching was not the main item on the agenda, managed to collect a few caches along the way - an assortment of caches with high favourite points, ones to fill gaps in my DT grid, old caches and a few fandoms that happened to be near where we pulled over for a break. All caches were quickly located with most in reasonable condition. It was quiet at GZ today - container is starting to perish. TFTC
Doing a few caches while staying in Cowell, nice hide - will come back here in the next couple of days for headstone hunting. Took TB and left a lucky Chinese Feng Shui coin. TFTC
Came back to look at the headstones, found your Grandfathers grave - in good condition. Checked the cemetery register - no record of his wife Agnes being buried there.

Stopped by this one on the road, a quick find was made cache is all good
Today davidwazza and I made our way from Whyalla to Port Lincoln as part of a weekend away to clean up as much as we could. Today was filled with some good and bad times, plus a few car issues along the way but all in all a great day out and 105 caches found in total.
Thanks for the cache

This weekend, I joined gridge98 on a trip to Eyre Peninsula, primarily visiting Port Lincoln and its surroundings. We saw its famous marina full of trawlers, and we also ended up visiting Coffin Bay and enjoyed fresh oysters. A nice weekend with weather, and certainly a great vicinity to see.
Today leaving Whyalla, we headed down the Lincoln Highway, passing through Cowell, Cleve, Arno Bay, Port Neill, and Tumby Bay. Just prior to lunch, we also completed the *Cleve Cleaver* geoart trail. A rather long day of geocaching numbers, but the inland and coastal towns were enjoyable to visit, along with the various picturesque beaches along the way.
Nice to have come past and found this oldie 01/2003 hidden cache. The cache container's lid is cracked, but otherwise the container body and logbook were in good shape. Thanks Team Piggy for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance. Unfortunately the Related Webpage link no longer works also.
