I think the cache has become a casualty of the floods. Location 2 sign does not exist & at the said mulberry tree, I estimate 1-2m of water flowing over GZ. Had a bit of a poke around but came up empty handed. Sorry for the not-so-good news Sad Nice locations though!!

05-Mar-11
Looked for this with Krossbo. Found places we never knew existed Smile Would have been lovely swimming holes pre-flood. We arrived at GZ & found said Mulberry tree, but alas, I believe this is another casualty of the 2011 floods Sad

05-Mar-11
Well... looked like a good cache to do and went looking for this one with muddtrax. Found the first clue and the area had some good historical information, worked out the coordinates for the second waypoint but alas, couldn't get to the sign as the ground that had the sign has been washed down the river. We were able to work out GZ with the clues and the internet on the phones and headed off. GZ was once a good spot, and will be again, but right at this moment its looking quiet messy. Found the mulberry tree with a lot less bushiness, but not a cache in sight. Scratched around for a while but looking at the floodwater markings, would guestimate that GZ was about 2meters under the flood waters. Will need maintenence or archiving ASAP.

Highly suspicious this one is at least very wet. Any chance of an owner check please?? Smile

10/07/10 4.30pm - while visiting the area decided to collect a few caches here. Had never been to WP1 before only as far as the Scout Campground at Allawah so now I know when they talk about the structure I know weir it is. WP2 was a lovely place to sit and look at all the nature around you.

When I put the co-ords for WP3 into the GPS, was quite perplexed as to where this was taking me. Luckily I had the Street Directory also with me and it helped me get my bearings as to where I should go. Another part of the world I had never visited but may do so again later on. Searching for the cache took a little bit longer than I had expected until a likely mound came into view, then the clue hit me.... This type of tree loses its leaves in winter, not bushy and green. D'OH!!! Lovely spot to sign logbook and replace cache as found.

Thank you for bringing me to a lovely part of the Brisbane River. TNLN. TFTC (now how do I get out of here again??!)

WOW good fun games with Alchemy2 geofriend and dog... Lovely day..

Nice swimming spots. Came home with an extra family member on this one. Rescued a lost puppy and his family from the road and his owner asked if we would like to keep him. Big softy husband bundled him into the car without a second thought! Kids loved it though. Well, at least now we have a nice place to take him for a swim! Out - dinosaur, In - snake

Outstanding location, outstanding Cache!

Loved the swim at Location 2 and will be back. Geobeagle's first splash in the water....we will be back.

Note to self: do your homework next time and work out what a mulberry bush looks like!

This was my first attempt at a multi-cache, and it sure won't be the last. A very enjoyable little trek. I was out on a caching day with geowife and Brent70 and we did this one after a couple of traditionals at Lake Manchester. Cache is in good order and was quite an easy find thanks to the directions. Signed log and took Pirate Coin No.1 and will move it on to another cache soon. Thanks for the cache hotandsweaty, top stuff Big Grin

Found by Brent70 and Paws

First multi-cache tried and completed. Nice drive around to each cache. The hound enjoyed the travelling and each location brought a new set of things to smell. Excellent work on the cache. Took Pirates day of the colony 2009 #2

This cache was completed after doing some caches at Lake Manchester

I got the clues at WP1 OK but couldn't find my way to WP2, so went thru the process of elimination to get the coords for the cache. Had never been to the area around the cache and was entranced by it Smile. Enjoyed this multi. Left CITO geocoin. TFTC hotandsweaty

On tour with Toutotatis today. The water was certainly cool today (didn't want to try it), but not quite so clear. And neither was the hiding place. Of course it would have helped if we had known what a Mulberry tree looks like. But even with our limited botanical knowledge eventually er were successful .

We haven't done a lot of multi caches ,but I think I am getting hooked. You made it easier by giving us multi coordinates to make sure we were on track. It started to rain at the Location 3 ,so we had to hurry ,gradded the cache ,signed the log and now we are off home .I do know we need the rain ,just not on the days we are caching .LOL

Found at 3.50pm. A bit of work has been done to this park over the years. I remember coming here about 12 years ago and it's very different now. Thankyou for this series it was very enjoyable.

09-Jun-08
Found it after some small trouble entering the coordinates into the GPS Red Face apparently if you cross 2 numbers up you end up on the wrong side of the river. Nice drive though. [^] TFTH TFTC. We took a newly deposited TB and left the lifebouy travel bug. finally found somewhere to put it.

Another one of those wonderful and hidden spots around South East Queensland. Will have to come back with a kayak / canoe one day.

Fourth find on a big day out caching with George.

This was an interesting one, with nice locations at each of the waypoints. George tried to take us somewhere different for wp2... thankfully I convinced him that geocaching works better and is easier if the waypoints are entered into the GPS correctly Big Grin

TNLN enjoyed this one! Cheers!

Fortunately did not disappear into parts unknown! Familiar with these areas, and ended up an easy find - once i went back to the car for the copy of the printout.
Took nothing, left TB Zills to enjoy the double riparian views. TFTC

15-Dec-07
Nice drive today. The second location is definately the pick of swimming locations. Had lunch and third location and returned to the second so the kids could have a swim.

03-Dec-07
Had an enjoyable time with the first two clues. On finding the gc found that the lid was visible thus making this one very very easy to find. Must have been the rain that washed natures own covering off. Have recovered with about 6cm of cover.

I've put off doing this cache for some months, now having done it I wonder why, it was most enjoyable, although I did have a pang of concern when I got within 20 metres of GZ and found an empty sistema type lunch box, but my fears were for nothing when I found a healthily stocked ammo box.

TNLN thanks Hot&sweaty

Great cache, nearly walked away with a DNF.
Arrived at co ordinates and then proceed to search area, while Mrs Muck sat under tree's.
While searching area we distrubed a Hare and GeoHound was off like a flash after it. Thankfully GeoHound returned without a catch.
As we were leaving Mrs Muck picked up a large stick to start searching, the stick hit the Cache.

Took: Book & travel bug, Left: Book & mini travel radio.

Had a chance to look for this one while we were in the area this morning. Lovely spot, unfortunately the area is showing the effects of the drought.

The cache was an easy find, in fact it was partly exposed when we arrived. We made no swaps, but picked up the Geocoin. We covered the cache better before we left. Thanks for the cache!

Found it on our second attempt, looking at the wrong Mulberry tree last time (more leaves now). Think I nearly trod on it last time as well come to think about it. Was just a drive by so left nothing and took nothing.

Boy, this is in an out of the way bit of the riverbank. Lovely spot to sit and look at the view. Mrs Lat&Long will be back when the mulberries are in season. She has quite a liking for them.
Left a shot glass and took a screwdriver. Signed the log and looked at the river for a bit longer.

We enjoyed discovering the water holes around Ipswich. The discovery drive past some of the local homesteads had us wondering what some of the builders were on???
Being winter the poor old mulberry bush had no leaves and made it difficult to identify.
Pretty spot with plenty of fishing muggles.

Decided to take my father-in-law and nephew along for the experience. Found it on the second go after realising the tree we searched around the first time wasn't a mulberry tree (It was very dark with a dog barking) Smile Ended up at my wife's favourite park! Dear Hotandsweaty,

This multi-cache took us to several places we visit quite regularly. If only we'd have known there was a cache at one of the locations!

The weather was wonderful for this trip.

Thank you, Hotandsweaty - Now back to that Wall...

We thoroughly enjoyed the locations we were taken to for this cache, especially #2... in fact I hope we can come back here for a picnic some day.

None of the cache was difficult to do, just a nice romp around the local attractions out this way.

Took stickers and put in something (can't remember) + Wild, wild west, Saguaro Cactus Travel Bug.

Thanks for the cache!

We found this one without any trouble. The first two locations we knew very well but the last we had not seen before. A wonderful spot. Took the penlight and left the whistles.

Out hunting with the DiveDiveDive team. Three great locations in one go - fantastic spots. F-111 flew over towards the Brisbane Anzac parade while we were searching for the cache. This cache was certainly worth the trip but we didn't have the swimmers with us. TNLN. Thanks Hotandsweaty.

We were in the area for a friends birthday and decided to have a go at this one. Site number one was the favourite - it looked both cool and clear! Emphasis on clear!
Had no troubles finding the final and is still in good condition.

Ho what fun!

Found WP 1 and 2 with no probs, but getting to WP3 proved a bit of a puzzle. For the n th time I have discovered that caching without a map is a challenge. We drove down most of the roads within 5Km trying to get to the site, explored mny housing developments, even travelled on a ferry. Eventually we got to the location and then fond the cache quickly.

Took nothing. Added a new digital watch, an umbrella (very small) and two super bouncy balls.

This cache is great for children - it has a lot of things they would be delihted to find.

Great fun - thanks for setting it up and leading us to these interesting Dihydro Monoxide related sites.

PS - Found two Auzzy dollars as I was hiding the container. My most profitable hunt to date!

09-Oct-04
Went back to pick up Oinks as promised. Took a few photos is all. The place is just as nice as before, but at least this time the cobbler's pegs were gone. Someone had moved the cache though. Looked in the log and someone had indeed visited. Hope they write in here.

25-Jun-04
What a fun day! Brought some curious friends that live locally along for the ride. They are now hooked Cachers and are probably looking through GPS webpages as I type. Swaps: A pen for a pen, 2 toy cars for a roll of tape, and a stubby cooler for a cork screw. Dropped off the "Oinks" travel bug, returning from the NT. If he is still in the SE Qld area later this year, I will pick him up again and take him with me to the USA. The kids walked out covered with "Cobbler's pegs" prickles, but with grins on their faces. Thanks HotandSweaty. Good work.

22-Jun-04
Big Grin Our first cache. Been to the place many times and never knew there were mulberry trees there! Took nothing except prickles, the ground was full of them.

15-May-04
thought it a nice arvo to go and do this multi cache with the kids and dog in tow. We could've very easily started at location 2 but the fun is doing the lot. Got a bit confused on location 3 because of GPS etc and we followed a trail where it looked like somebody had fallen down the embankment!!!!Wink
weren't too sure what a mulberry tree exactly looked like either, but all ended good, ammo box in hand. Took compass, left elephant figurine.
thanks for the hunt guys.

27-Apr-04
Thought i head out in work time as it was raining and with no gps :< but i cheated and headed to the 3rd waypoint. Found it after a bit of looking would have been easier if i had my gps with me but not a bad effort.

i was ill prepared and thought i wouldent find it didnt take anything but was nice surprise that the surround was well kept and very nice on a fine day.

Thanks guys.

10-Apr-04
Beautiful day for caching. Got to the final location around 12:30 and it was found easily by Mrs Bear.

We especially liked location 2 as did the dogs. Will have to come back and hire a canoe one day.

Took the dog ball (well more like one of the dogs lunged at it while it was still in the ammo box) although we didn't have any swaps with us today so left $2 as that is all we could scrounge up from the depths of our pockets. Sorry for the weak trade.

Also took Coop's the Poopin Pig TB and left Snickers the Dog TB.

Thanks for a great cache Hot & Sweaty.

08-Mar-04
Nice little trip. Found quite easily though that was with the mulberry tree hint. Would have been quite different without the clue!
Didn't swap anything but left a travel bug.
Thanks for the cache.

17-Feb-04
I found it too after much Hotting and sweating. I decided against cheating and so did it all from start to end. The trees at the final location do throw your GPS off a bit but I solved this by walking in from the open area near by then proceeded to enter the garden from where the GPS indicated. Mind you this was after about half an hour looking behind all the M trees, including the actual one. Oh well it is done now. Traded a Dog chew/toy for something (my brain is fried from the heat and I can remember)

found by jfreak at 12:40pm

08-Feb-04
O.k. I admit. I knew the second location well and jumped into the cache hunt half-way. Whilst I have canoed and swam at the location I have never visited the multi-cache spot. Very interesting..

After winding a path through the street of 'who knows where' we arrived at the final location. A very nice place and another canoe launch that I didn't know of. Thanks.

Hey! How many M.trees are there. What a trick. There I was looking around under a M.tree that I was convinced of, pondering the erosion from the recent rains, and beginning to think "perhaps it got washed away" when my partner says, "There is another over hear." And there you go.

Our first Ammo Box. What a thrill.

I wouldn't say that the last location is swimmable, having visited the preferred spots first. Actually it is a surprise that the river changes so much between the locations.

Left: Magnetic frame. Obtained: Disguise kit (needed for a photo comic).

Sara and Nick helped with this one. Found it no problems. Left blue sqeaky mouse took a highlighter pen.
Thanks great find.
