TFTC. Quick little opertunistic find. Will have to locate the rest of the set now.
My objective for today was simple, to find my geocache find number 6666. However, I had a number of other side tasks too. To collect more clues for the 'Nice Day for a Cache' and the '13th Cache'. To find more caches to help with challenges I am working on. Specifically, oldies, multicaches, a DT of 2.5/2.5, and of course an Event and CITO on this month and on the 25th. A good day out with no DNFs, 4 Lab locations, and 26 geocache finds.I thought I had the entire place to myself, but as I got to this GZ, 2 other walkers passed and stopped at the corner to see which way they had to go next. I had to wait for them to walk off before ducking behind the tree to grab the geocache. Thanks for the cache, Rabbitto.Hunter
I needed to clear my head after a full-on week, so I headed for the bush. It was so enjoyable to walk and cache in the Dandenongs. I have never walked this track before, so it was a pleasant scenic meander for me today. I had to take a work phone call enroute to GZ, and realised I'd overshot when I hung up. Back a short way to make the find I went. The inside of the container was wet, but the log book dry in its bag. I dried the container before resetting. Puzzle piece noted. TFTC Rabbitto
Hi Rabbito. A few years since I first found this,. Found myself walking past today on a cache maintenance excursion, so I thought I'd sign the log again and leave a note.
Hoping to see some birds around here but it was so rainy and miserable that none of them wanted to come out and play. So we ended up walking down the trail around Hardys Gully with vague hopes of seeing a lyre bird. No such luck but the trees and ferns around here were fantastic. Quite muddy. Not too used to searching around trees with piles of peeling bark just yet, but we got there without any problems. TFTC!
Our most replaced cache in the series due to the dampness from the wet gully. Placed a new cache and log book.
Another Golden Oldie and another Travel bug rescued..awesome walking trails in this reserve. Making the most of a decent winters day.
Found while going out for a walk with the wife.
Left a trackable in this one.

I spent a few minutes overthinking this one as I suspect the surrounding area has changed a bit over the past almost 20 years. Leeches out in force today but such a beautiful spot though!
TB CV61NP visited this cache today!
The logbooks were unfortunately both completely waterlogged and unable to be signed but I put in a new replacement logbook in some fresh ziploc bags.
Happy to report that the cache is otherwise is in good condition.

Soggy day but found it quickly with the little people. Log too damp to write on today! Plenty of cockatoos around
Lots muggles around so having to loiter (suspiciously) and listen to the lyrebirds calling in the background. Dashed in and found it quickly. Unfortunately log book is soaked and in a bad state. TFTC
Really enjoyed the walk in here today. The cache was holding water and both logs were quite wet, I didn’t have anything with me to make any improvements.
Thanks for placing the cache Rabbitto.
Thanks for placing the cache Rabbitto.
Lots of muggles. Had to be careful. Love this place. Saw two kangas, a kooka and two lyrebirds.Tftc!
Awesome find out with the family at our favourite walking track. Looking forward to a milkshake at the cafe after. Tftc
Found full of water needs a new container but at the same time the container the way it is makes it a lil harder to find. Found pretty quick with riotgirlckb
A nice easy find along this delightful track. So verdant and beautiful.
Log a bit damp, but ok.

Great day for geocaching without the crowds due to lockdown... Great to live less than 5km from this cache.
No bikes allowed?
That’s just cruel.
Protecting the lyrebird population apparently.
So 600 meter walk in and back out it was.
Guess how many lyrebirds I saw?
Ha. Yup. Zero.

Out on a 4 hour hike today of the Sherbrooke Forest and surrounds and to grab a few caches on the way
My 4th find in the series and last for the day before heading back over to Sherbrooke Picnic Ground
A quick find thanks to the cache hint as the gps wasn't too friendly today
Log was found a little damp but generally in good condition
Many thanx to Rabbitto. Planning to continue the series real soon

I did this one the hard way I look at the wrong tree it first but I finally got there in the end thanks for placing
I was in the park today with a U3A birding group and took the opportunity to look for this cache. Fortunately it was a quick find. Signed log and replaced. We were fortunate to spot about half a dozen lyre birds and listen to their calls and I was also able to see an nice display from one male. A great day out! TFTC
Found Out for a walk with DebW64 on a beautiful Saturday morning, we were really impressed with the great tracks on the circuit, and all the friendly smiles from fellow walkers.
Thanks for another reason to see a new part of Vic Rabbitto

Cheers for the beautiful walk to this cache. Logged and took note of puzzle piece info for later date.
Gorgeous walk this, in a beautiful day. Thanks for hiding this cache Rabitto!
I enjoyed my walk in the forest this morning, before the temperature became uncomfortable. A quick find had the log signed and on my way to the next cache. Tftc Rabbitto.
This wish was granted very quickly, I chose a tree and spotted the cache within about 2 mins. The logbook was a little damp and the container had some condensation inside it.
After finding this cache I continued in my loop walk back to the car.

Beautiful walk with all those huge trees surrounding us. No lyrebirds spotted today, but still a very peaceful place to explore. We were lucky no muggles were around as we searched, as it took quite some time to finally get our hands on the cache. Signing duties completed, and of course, that is when a couple walk by. Quick hello as we got back to the path, and thankfully we headed off in the opposite direction.
Cheers Rabbitto.

Took us a long time to get there because we went the way that starts at cooks corner (so I recommend going the grants picnic ground way:) but when we got there easy find TFTC!
Beautiful spot, we found this cache just after watching a lyrebird go about it's afternoon. Thankyou, this was our favourite walk in the area so far.
Good Friday. Grants picnic ground and the lyrebird track were like bedlam. I was meeting various family members at the ‘dragons’ nests’ down the track. They parked at the other end, so I elected to walk there to meet them. Got my obligatory vanilla slice and coffee. Yum. Headed off to find everyone... passed this cache on the way. So many muggles! Easy find, but hard to dodge people. Hard to know whether suspicious loitering or focused squatting and signing is more obvious... anyway, TFTC!
This was my favourite walk of the day. Absolutely beautiful. Green and lush, surrounded by giants. The drizzle didn't bother us one bit. We just enjoyed the moment. Thanks for the fantastic location!
Out for the day hiking and driving around the Dandenong Ranges with some great mates, with the main aim of tackling the rest of this "13th Cache" series.
By this stage it was raining quite hard, and the *Three* of us (actually four with young A) were *wishing* for a little let-up while we found the cache. It wasn't *granted*.
Thanks, Rabbitto.

Loving this series of old caches in such a beautiful area! Thanks for this one. A great day out with good company! TFTC
I’m trying to fill in some dates on my calendar so this one was today’s. Hoping to see a lyrebird but nothing so far. Beautiful and quiet though, just what I needed today
Thanks for maintaining the great cache and bringing us here

I dropped in here today on the way to do some maintenance on one of our caches down the track a bit, so I thought I'd stop and put name in the log - nearly 12 years after first finding it.
Cheers Rabbitto

I took myself off on a solo hike around Kallista and Sherbrook. I had the perfect day for it. Grab this cache as well. Thanks for the find
Barely enough reception to download the coordinates, so it's a good thing they were spot on and we didn't need a description or hint for this one. . Thank you!
Today was one of those cooler mid-Summer days that are not to be wasted with staying at home.
The family decided that Hiking from Grants Picnic Ground down and around the big loop was the aim today so we headed off in search of some caches.
This one snuck up on me and I had the phone in my pocket still when we wandered past so a bit of backtracking was in order. still an easy find in the end then only a short wait as the inevitable muggle passed just as we wanted to rehide.

After The Twelfth of Never I moved the car down closer to the entrance.
Although we have been here on many occasions it is always fun to watch the tourists feeding the birds.
I must admit, I have never been down this trail before.
Hopeful of spotting a Lyrebird or two I headed down the trail.
No such luck here although I did see some at the next cache.
Muggles sneak up on you at a furious rate here.
Trying not to seem suspicious as I signed the log and took a pic of the clue.
Thanks again Rabbitto.

The hint seemed strange considering it's in a forest. But all made sense when on site. Cool spot.
Thank you for this pretty location. We have a yank in tow today and this is her first!
Working on this series of caches at the moment. We grabbed three tonight which puts us almost halfway through the series.
Easy find with the use of the hint, then we scurried back to the car through the increasing rain. TFTC and the series

Came to feed the birds and rainforest walk. Great hide. My four year old brother thought the walk was too far.
Out for a walk today with the geo family, and picked Grant's Picnic Ground as the start point. Lovely area, and managed to time the find between muggles. TFTC.
Trying to finish off this series, and grabbing what I can today. Beautiful walk and soon found this one - TFTC!
Am I done yet? I started this series from the wrong end, having accompanied friends to the final one day. Since then I’ve slowly worked my way through the rest when I’ve had the chance. I never seem to finish them though. Ticked this one off today. I’ve got the sword grass scratches to prove it, thanks to my GPS being super dodgy around these parts.
Should look up whether I can finally log that final yet

Fun, easy cache in a beautiful spot! Didn’t have a pen on me but it was a wonderful cache!
Found after a lovely walk. This was a quick and easy find. We also found the old logbook on the ground near the cache. We put it back in. Now i need to get myself back up that hill. Thanks for the cache Rabbitto
With Zedaycee.

Back again with a few more caches after failing last year. This one was relativity easy after using the hint. GPS wasn't too good in the area unfortunately. Found the old log book laying on the ground so put it back in the cache. TFTC
Maintained today as the 4th of 4 caches before the weather gets hot. Cleaned out cache. Placed new log book and updated the hint.
Needs maintenance - log shows last found in October, still very wet. Owner please check.
Ohh, what are my wishes? I won't be able to sleep tonight knowing I get three! TFTC Rabbitto
Found this one out on a little night caching jaunt on a crisp (freezing!) Autumn night! Still a few more to find in this series. TFTC
Having found some of this series a while ago it was time to try and progress some more. It is now the morning of the next day and we are tracking down the clues for the 13th cache.
We found the track ok along with parking and continued up the track. This one took a bit to find with a jumpy GPSr with all the tall timber and that it was not hard up against the base of the tree which meant we also visited some other trees as we spread out before returning to make the find. We noted the puzzle piece, signed and re hid. TFTC

While out with friends for a catch-up afternoon we did the coffee at Grants and decided on a walk. Took to the lyrebird track and enjoyed the short walk to GZ. Checked out the wrong tree to start with and with the aid of a friend got to sign off on this one. Picked up the clue and returned for lunch. Beautiful area here amongst the tall trees. Thanks for the cache
Took the day off work to go a-wandering in the forest with Spannaworks, while the kids were at school.
After a couple of mind-starting coffees at Ripe in Sassafrass, we found ourselves gravitating towards Grants, being the starting point for one of our favourite circuits in the 'Nongs.
Had no intention of caching today, but happened to check when just past the Neumann Track turnoff, and saw that this was just 43m away, back the way we'd come, so of course we had to take a look.
A quick backtrack later and I was briefly off-path to make the find. Photographed the clue and signed the log before re-hiding, then re-joined Spannaworks on the track, where she quickly checked me over for black wriggly leechy hitch-hikers acquired in the long-ish, dampish grass I'd had to pass through.
(Only two were found, one on right boot, the other on left sock, none on bare legs - score! To her credit, Spannaworks overcame her utter (and entirely justified) distaste of the little buggers long enough to flick them off, before we continued on our circuit.)
Thanks for the cache, and for the bigger-picture quest, Rabbitto - this is only the fourth in the series I've found (the first in late 2013...) so I really should remove the digit and get the rest found...
