As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

It's been over 9 months since this cache was disabled. It is a great spot for a cache, so could you replace and enable it, or archive it to (perhaps) allow someone else to place a new cache close by.

This was my first visit to Dwellingup and had a great time seeing the sites while finding the caches in the area. Cheers.

First and last cache for the day due to a near GPS fatality @ Wombat 4! Anyway this cache had us going in circles due to the forest canopy interferance. When found cache it was drentched!!! Log book OK but all other items inc. cache needed drying well with towel. Secured log in new zip-lock bag and cache in a couple of shopping bags. Hopefully this will help keep dry!!!!

My second POW-site Cache that I have found in WA. My first (GC31CC, POW Camp) that I visited in Nov 03, provided a fascinating & interesting experience.
Sadly, this time I walked in the short distance from the road to the west of the cache and was unable to locate the actual camp.
Found the cache easy enough and even though I could find no hole in the container, it was still full of water. I emptied it out, but as it was still drizzling, was unable to dry it out. The log was perfectly dry and I duly signed it. Took nothing, but left a TFTC card. Cheers.

Mama Bear (no relation to the previous finder!) wanted to check out a place in Dwellingup that she'll be doing a course at next month, so PBL's reward for the detour was a cache all to himself while MBL had a cuppa while sitting on a log.
Very quiet and peaceful out here at dusk.

Took lunch into the bush to fortify ourselves before seeking cache. Loved the walk - short search found cache. Contents quite wet - dried things out a bit in the sun and wandered back.

Found it with the Geo nephews - Walking on the Tracks is much better.

13-Nov-05
Found it the long way after wandering around the bush for a while - couldnt get a good fix on where to look.

Deciphered clues and managed to settle GPSr down with success.

Cache was damp so we (Goosey was with me) set all contents out on log to dry before re-packing.

Took: Stanley-like knives

11:50 Taking a detour while on the way to Mandurah.
Well, even found a track I couldn't take my car up although I tried before the car just stopped going forward slid sideways into a 2ft rut. Had to take the long route out to the main road and back in further up. Went to the POW camp and saw a longish walk ahead of me, didn't have time so zoomed in and saw a better way. TFTH TnLn SL

After spending the last 24hrs up the road walking around and generally freezing my bollocks off, this cache provided a welcome warm up to the Sunday. I was still wrapped up in my Thermal underwear, T shirt, Tracksuit, Woolen vest and Fleecy jumper yet still did not get a sweat up on the 400 metre walk to the cache.

Was a beautiful walk in and given our performance in some of our navigating the previous day was it was an easy find. Someone should tell the Rogaine setters and vetters about GPS technology. They could change the control cards for plastic boxes and call it geogaining or something.

We took nothing and left the Lonely Texan Travel Bug

Nice walk through the bush and some of the cycle tracks. Kept loosing the satelites but had no trouble finding the cache. Like Belken, had been at the Rogaine but stopped at 'End of the Line' before coming to this cache so arrived an hour after them.

Found by team Griffo
The road to the car park was a bit rough. We parked about 300 mtr away and followed one of the paths. There are a lot of paths and bike tracks through this bush. Our GPS started playing up about 100m away from the cache. We will make sure that from now on we will always take a compass.

A very enjoyable stroll on a wonderful sunny Perth day. Thanks for reminding us of how great it used to be living in Perth.

Stopped for this cache while on way to the other caches. It was 0.30m from where we parked our vehicle on the track and it was found. It is still in a good condition. TN. L: Koala key ring and card. We will come back with friends for touring P.O.W. Thanks for the hunt.

Stopped in at Marinup to do the mountain bike trail and went hunting out the cache while I was there. The GPSr was indicating that the cache was 300mtrs away from where I parked down the exit track of the MTB trail so I headed off down there only to get as close as 120mtrs so off through the bush I went. Turns out it's not far form the start of the trails.

Took Taco Dog LN...

Now to try and find where I left my bike

20-Jun-04
11am ...We did this on the way down to Dwellingup for the night. We parked about as far away as you can get and then couldnt find the tracks we needed so we just walked straight through the bush to the site. We dropped off TB Talking Taco Dog while we were there. We had had this bug with us for a couple of weeks with great plans to take it to the mexican restaraunt but time eluded us and we thought we better release him. As we were placing it in the cache we accidently sqeezed it and it said "happy new year Amigos"...spooky stuff made all the more odd as we had not managed to make that happen before this time. We took the calculator as it was needed for School we were told by one of the kids and put in the Glass coasters from the weekend up at Avon valley. This would make a good site for a Geo weekend as there are lots of tracks and a large open area for camping...but no river like in dwellingup so dwellingup is still a better option.

20-Jun-04
First find for the day, we have to remember to read the cache notes as we knew where the POW camp was and headed straight for it. Turns out it's on the other side of the park so we toured the POW camp then headed off on foot for the cache Cool
A lot of caches we've hit recently are not suitable for TB's (a little on the smallish size), this one will definitely hold a couple of bugs easily ... good one guy's.
Took - Sports Watch
Left - Nursery Rhyme and C.C.
Thanx for the hunt MJKLZ.
