As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

Disabled due to bushfires in the area.

Sweet Victory is right. I had done the rest of the series ages ago and had not been back to the area in a long time. Tonight was the night. A pleasant stroll to GZ and the cache was in hand. Actually, it was on the ground so we rehid it.
Thanks for a great series, Robmc.

It seems I'll have the privelege of doing this series in reverse seeing this was actually the first one I found. (Found #1 a little later). Comes with the company I keep! Robmc has done them all and worked out the final and I was along for the ride. Actually no; it was my car so he was along for the ride. Anyway hopefully I'll get around to the rest later and we enjoyed GZ too. Nice spot!
The cache wasn't in it's hidy hole but laying on the ground beside it so we rehid it properly.
Thanks indeed

The sweetest victory of all came for me today when I finally finished this terrific little series. Every cache had taken me to somewhere special and the final location was a suitable reward for all the walking done. The only blemish came when I discovered that someone had done a poo not two feet from the cache location sometime in the last month or so I guess, though carbon dating may reveal earlier. I thought what are the odds of that happening out here! Thanks team kittens for the challenges.

Having found the preliminaries during a walk last month (thanks Tyrone Thomas and Siseman and Chapman) but missing this final part due to some bad timing, it was time to put this great series to bed on this glorious Sunday.

With the sun shining and clear views, I arrived at GZ for a nice easy find at 14:25. What a great spot Big Grin.

TNLNSL, although the Never Stop Caching Geocoin had a visit but decided to move on. Our Signal Geocoin also had a visit to mark another National Park. Thanks for a truly great series teamkittens.

We started off with KLPB1 back in September but forgot to collect the clue, duh![B)]. So when EuDes arranged the AWG walk last Sunday to do the circuit, courtesy of T. Thomas, we had a chance to redeem ourselves. The clues were collected, puzzled over, Lukeyboy made the connection and the final coords calculated [^]. If only we hadn't so much of Sam's homemade wine we might have got to the cache that day before closing. Today drove up to the hills, had a short walk and, apart from the GPSr being a bit vague under the trees, went straight to it. Somewhat amazed that it hadn't been found since last November. Swapped in a Bavarian Beer Maid for an Egyptian figurine out. Thanks Teamkittens for a great challenge (physically that is - my knees still haven't forgiven me, LZZ(m)).

What a disappointment.

I had left the cord for my PDA back in Adelaide, so I was working only from handwritten notes.

There seemed 3 ways to tackle this. The first way the numbers just didn't add up. The second placed GZ deep in a valley, apparently well off trail and would have added another 10 Km or so to the hike. I had neither the time nor the energy to look. The third would require information I didn't have with me as I had considered it "redundant".

And so with only the inspiration of having found a cache 200m from its co-ordinates, based only on the notes and a hunch, earlier in the week, I checked every possible hiding place on the way back to the car. But to no avail.

And so after 5 1/2 hours (3:47 moving) and 16.1 Km at a moving average of 4.2 Km/hr and overall average of 2.9 Km/hr I had no cache.[xx(]

Back in the motel I tried Idea 3. The cache notes suggested this should be the one, but it too gave me no useful co-ordinates.

Anyhow, at least I have ticked off Walk 33 from 120 Walks in Victoria (Tyrone T Thomas 1975 - 2000) that has been on my hit list for ages, so all was not lost.Cool

Dear Team Kittens,

We found your cache today as the ninth of eleven on our Yarra Glen/Kinglake/Whittlesea Hills Tour. After finally completing all the preliminaries, we were able to patch together a possible location for the final GZ which all seemed to fit although one object half made me think that there was a double negative in there somewhere. Everything fit too well though and we soon made our way to GZ. On route, we saw a flock of ten sheep about 50m from the cache. Something tells me that they really aren't supposed to be here. The cache was a very easy pick up and I think that even after 2 years we may be the first to log all six caches in this 5 cache series. Big Grin Thanks for our 9th Team Kittens cache and a great series. Now how many other people are going to come up here thinking that this is a great place for a traditional cache only to be knocked back by the reviewer. I always worry about this as some of our own caches fall into the same category.

Kind Regards,

D & S B-A

Found at 12.15pm
It has taken us 1 1/2 years to complete this series.
Well worth the effort.
I decided to have lunch in the car whilst another hail storm passed by.
After that the cache was an easy find

Good series
Thanks

Found at 2.20pm GAFF2. What a relief to actually find the cache after 4 months of gathering clues and wondering whether certain animals inhabit the southern hemisphere! Great series which we are somewhat sad now to see that is over. Thanks Team Kittens Took: playing cards, Left: Heavy beaded necklace.

Like previous people I did the obvious calculations to have them point me somewhere odd. I had previously found somewhere that I expected and so redid the calcs a slightly different way to come out with just what I had expected. A short drive had me at the cache and out of the park just before closing at 5pm. NOTE also that the area of Baggers 1-4 is closed for goat control this weekend 20-21/5/06

Last of nine finds on my "Clean up the Far North", part one. This series has been 'on the list' for some time. I had even received an invitation to join Muzza and Kiwideb when they FTF'd the series, but I was unavailable. So, this series was been staring back at me from my GSAK database for 12 months or more. Today I was determined to conquer it.

Having all the clues is one thing, interpreting them is quite another. I had a theory, but the resultant location didn't look promising on the map, although the name of the area seemed to fit. Before heading off to see if I was right, I placed a call to the teamkittens hot line. My theory couldn't have been more wrong, and would have resulted in my searching about 16km away from GZ, as the crow flies. Anyhow, with teamkittens's advice, I constructed the real coordinates and set off. Unlike Quasar, I didn't find the final cache anti-climactic, and was pleased to have a short walk to this one, after having put in the hard yards on the preliminary caches. I found the cache at 1725. Once again, my GPSr read 11m to go at GZ, but I knew to compensate for this by now. I think the day's conditions might have affected my GPSr. Thanks to teamkittens for the cache.

I've just realised that I drove straight past another cache on the way to this one without realising it. Aaarrgghh! Oh well, it will have to wait for part two (or part three, or . . .).

Found by Mary & David at 1400. And what a sweet victory it was too. Quite a time interval between start and finish for us. Despite the strong winds today we both enjoyed the end of this series and the views in particular. Hope the relevant authorities keep that small but significant path through the trees clear so that the views to the city remain. Took mini tape-measure key ring, left plush bear pen. Our thanks again to Team Kittens.

Found at 1550 on Mon 31/01/2005.

Surprised by two muggles who, as it turned out, were totally unaware of our activities. Just enjoying the view.

As locals we really enjoyed this series. Sweet Victory is aptly named and a relatively easy find once you decipher the clues. Looking forward to more of teamkittens caches.

Took lip balm and left camping thermometer.

I expected this to be the area for the final cache, and played with the numbers to make it fit. Fortunately I was correct. After all the long walks, the final one was a bit of an anticlimax. Walked straight to it. What a pity the lookout is all overgrown. This is happening to so many lookouts now, all because people won't cut down a couple of trees. I think I'll form the lookout conservation society. *Steps down from soapbox* Thanks Teamkittens for an interesting series that got me out in the bush again.

Found 16:45, great views and a great day for strolling around the surrounding countryside, all in all a great series of caches.

Took incense and left tape measure key tag, thanks Team Kittens.

Another beautiful area in the King Lake district. Muzza said this would be the likely spot for the cache so we checked this out 1st. Parked the car and then walked to GZ. After our GPSr settled down we did the search. Happily I finally found another cache(my 2nd for the day out of 8 caches) before Muzza.
Cache was found at 505pm
Swapped a bubble blower for a Dinosar.
Many thanks for the effort that went into these caches Team Kittens, Muzza and I were saying how we could go home contented after this cache but there was too much light left so we'll do a couple more. Also thanks for all the wonderful views each cache had.

Found at 5:05 with Kiwideb - again Deb gained the FTF honours. This was the first (and most likely) of the four calculated locations so we were pleasantly relieved to know that our quest was over - no revisiting caches a la '13th Cache'.

I took another Gecko Hook thingy to add to my collection and left a Lip Balm in its place. Thanks, Teams Kittens, for a most enjoyable day out and a great series of caches.
