Accio 11:08:43Down to Melbourne to escort my mum to hospital - giving me significant free time for a couple of days. What to do? LGA hunting my primary goal, I came here as part of a very big loop around the outside of metropolitan Melbourne. Quick find here, quiet today. Thanks caughtatwork for entertaining me at this location. *{Overall find #12921}*
We had been staying in Wonga Park for the weekend as we attended a wedding on Sunday. After leaving the Airbnb, we headed to Werribee so Mrs Dromaniax could go to work. That left a few hours for Geocaching, and we had planned to check out Moonee Ponds and Maribyrnong. However, a first-to-find popped up, so we headed towards Sunbury. We missed the first-to-find but decided to stay in the area and log some finds in the Hume Council area.We made a quick find here and watched a few planes fly by. It's an amazing solar farm right next to the cemetery, too. Thank you, caughtatwork, for this Traditional ache.
really easy, navigation was off about 10 meters so we felt a bit disrespectful going near the graves. right on the path !
On secondment to Melbourne, Australia, combined with short holidays here and there. From day 49/74, I was accompanied by my dear son, geocacher Ruupertti, who travelled from Finland to visit me in Australia and to spend a holiday with me in New Zealand at the end of my secondment. Day 64/74, Monday. Our last day in Melbourne before heading to New Zealand for holiday. We had a fun day, another two part working day (working in the morning, then doing something fun in the middle, and then sitting in online meetings to Finland for the whole evening). One of our daytime activities was plane spotting and we found a couple of caches too. This was a quick find. Another really old cache - I appreciate these ones! Thanks for the cache and greetings from Vaasa, Finland! Logged with [GCDroid](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gcdroid).
Our last close-to-the airport find after a early morning drop off. Quiet spot on a rainy early moring (apart from a few planes overhead). Finding credit for this one goes to [@RikkiJayMudd](https://coord.info/PR1JBBM6). TFTC caughtatwork!
Early morning drop-off at the airport with [@DuckNomNom](https://coord.info/PR1J84Z1), but deprived of being able to access the nearby Woodlands at stupid o'clock. We settled for the picking up the three caches nearby in plane-spotters territory.Rounding out our quick jaunt around the solar power farm, this was an easy find, but I made sure that I got there first this time!Cache in good condition. Thanks!

Visiting Melbourne from Port Macquarie.Title is spot on, we must have arrived right on the afternoon rush as there was plane after plane going overhead. No issues locating the hide, all in good shape. Thanks for the cache
Having attended a recent event in Brisbane where a fellow cacher brought my attention to the geo tour in Ballarat and its up coming finish in February, i knew this was something I had to make an effort to get to.I also quickly realised that the attribute for the geo tour is the last one I need to achieve a personal challenge so the planning began.Today is day three of the mission and Ive completed the geo art and the tour so Im very happy. Todays mission is to get to 100 in this local LGA and then head towards Sunbury in the hope to pick up another 25 to also reach 100 in that LGA before my flight out tonight. Obviously this is for a local challenge cache at home. What else. Unfortunately I missed the events in Castlemaine. Time got the better of me.I jumped in The geowagon and ventured off the o soon find a nice parking spot. A short stroll later soon found me at ground zero. It wasnt long before cache was found and my name was printed for prosperity. I returned the cache to its hiding space and made my way back to the car. Ready to head to the next adventureA big thanks to the cache owners of Ballarat for making this cache available to be found.Cheers
A nice stop and leg stretch heading from Western Vic to eastern suburbs of Melbourne. Stunning spring day to be out and about. TFTC caughtatwork.
After dropping a group to the airport, I made a detour here on my way to Woodlands Park. It was reasonably still peaceful at this time of the morning as the day's flights were just about to start.
A nice quick find neatly camouflaged, and all in good condition.

An interesting wander around a cemetery with some very old gravesites.. it's crazy to think there were people who lived and died in the 1800s, what a different time it must have been.. a cool location under the flightpath of many plane. I saw a few while I was here, pictured is VA1373, virgin Australia from launceston to melbourne. It arrived 7 minutes earlier than expected, how nice.
Anyway, successfully found cache and signed log. Tftc

Came here on my 31st birthday eve for a day of caching. Last one for the day. It was easy enough to find and it was very clean with a fresh log. Took pathtag. TFTC
Thanks to the cache who logged a DNF. The cache was indeed missing, and so a replacement was dropped off this morning. All is now well and ready to find again.
Despite a thorough search, (accompanied by previous finders), unfortunately no luck here today.
Cache seemed to have disappeared but paid my respects to May and Barney before leaving. I’m sure they don’t see much in the way of visitors but always good to come say hello.
Dropped Marchwood at the airport to head home and thought we better go get some more caches. Quick find with Agazo this afternoon.
Thanks for the cache caughtatwork

On our way to a birthday party, needed to stretch the legs, this was the ideal place for that…and grab a cache. TFTC caughtatwork
I was going to tackle a few more of the woodlands series but had some work on my list to do so decided instead just to grab this one and head on home.
It was all quiet at GZ, except for the planes flying overhead, and the cache was quickly located.
Thanks caughtatwork for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to enjoy.

Find No. 3861. Found with FUF009.
A day trip down to do the Woodland series of caches.
Took our bicycles and FUF009 came with us.
Arrived at the gate, unloaded or bikes, had a cuppa and off we went getting our first cache at 8.55am.
We worked our way through the series stopping several times to watch the coming and going of the jets at Tullamarine.
After a long warm day with several challenges, we arrived back at the car park for a rest and well earned cuppa.
We put the clues together, punched in the co-ords and went and claimed the final cache of the series.
After completing the series, and before heading home, FUF009 told us about three quick grabs, closeby that we could get. This being number one of the three. The cache we found quickly but we spent a few minutes here watching the planes flying over, what seemed to be so close to the ground.

Late in the day, catnap777 and I rolled up to the cemetary gates where we enjoyed our evening meal (purchased from food vans doing a roaring trade back out on the highway) under the shade of the boundry trees and right under the incoming flight path.
Well we soon figured out how the cache got its name, but trust us, compared to the hustle and bustle of the queues and crowds where we bought our tea, this really was a peaceful resting place to watch the airliners come in overhead. [^]
Licking our lips from the best kakabs in town, we entered the cemerary and after a bit of a look around at some rather unusual headstones, soon had cache in hand.
Thanks for the cache caughtatwork, and thanks for showing us this remarkable little place.

Cache found and log signed with dalerious .
We had a huge day riding around Woodlands getting our names in the top 500 .
We had planned to help out a friend by doing some maintenance but that fell through.
We called into the food vans on the way to this cache, and parked up at the gates to enjoy our kebab.
Well, we had the best view in the house. Serenity in between planes flying right over our heads, while enjoying a decent meal .
We had a walk around the cemetery, as we always do, and the cache was found and signed.
Thank you caughtatwork .

Outnabout on my own today for some solo caching. It’s always a great day for caching.

For anyone making Geo plans, do yourself a favour and visit Australia’s only current Geotour at Ballarat while it lasts: https://www.geocaching.com/play/geotours/ballarat-victoria
And for anyone that can travel to Longreach, Queensland, late September 2023, Google “QOGM” which is the Queensland Outback Geocaching Muster. You’ll have at least 8 or 9 days of pure geocaching fun with around 200 like minded people attending a mix of events and access to over 200 geocaches placed by the QOGM team. It’s not a Mega, it’s better.

*Cache find # 13769.*
After finding all the available caches in Woodlands I headed to this one with biggles1024 next.
Once we realised that this one a pretty old cache, we then had to stop by for a look, once at GZ, it was a very quick find as suggested by its D rating, the log was stamped and we were on our way.
**Thanks to caughtatwork for placing this cache.**

**Traditional Find #3124**
Steve and I returned to Woodlands Park today to try and complete the series. The weather was perfect, but part of the park was closed so we will have to make a third trip some time in the future. We were heading home now but couldn't pass this cache as it is one of the oldest 500 caches that are still in existence. An easy find and then we continued our journey.

Totally agree, how is everyone meant to rest in peace with all those planes flying over. I waved at one but I don’t think the captain waved back. Oh well great cache and may everyone rest in peace. TFTC
I have decided to come to Victoria and go to the Whittlesea Mega, I will be travelling with Azzo7777 and other great geocachers at the mega,

We swung in here today to make the find. A few planes went over and we weren’t on any of them. But we had fun talking about our crazy adventures this year. Tftc
Found It!
A quick find here while a plane roared overhead. Almost loud enough to wake up the dead!

Found it, easy and so nice although a little bit of a dead area (no pun intended)
I don't know. If you ignore the planes flying overhead it isn't too bad here at all. They were taking off today, so less noisy than landing. We had a pleasant time perusing the gravestones and monuments once the cache was found. TFTC
Another great spot - who doesn’t love a good graveyard & one with such great aerial views! TeamUs! was regretting leaving her camera at home & planning a slew of future photo opportunities. Left a TB from FNQ, thanks for bringing me here & TFTC!️0
Having found this back in 2015, it was a super quick find. I took the opportunity to visit a number of relatives graves that are here. They are from my mum's side of the family and there are so many descendants still in this area. I remember my gradparents discussing where they would be buried and my grandmother stating that this was "not a peaceful resting place" with all those planes. Incredible. Thanks for placing this cache and maintaining it for so long.
This was a nice quick find after a very frustrating day - one part of Woodlands I am yet to do is closed and the other part I cannot access by road despite what Maps says. I have also done something to the car driving through a pothole at Woodlands and now have to crawl back home limping as it were, hopefully not doing too much more damage to the car. So you can say, this was was the highlight of my day and actually was a lovely quaint cemetery.
In Melbourne for a Dog Grooming Convention down the road. Happy to have some caches in the area to grab. TFTC.
Nice quick find for us today! Had to wait out the muggle man though

What could be more fun than a cache, a cemetery and some planes? Oh, throw in a beautiful morning with blue skies and it was perfect. Peaceful. Well, when the planes weren’t flying over. It was so much fun watching them. The cemetery is right over the flight path. It didn’t take long to find the cache, sign it and put it back and I was feeling so relaxed that I decided to look around the cemetery.
There are some quite interesting headstones. I spent a fair while here, and saw so much. My favourite was when the planes flew over and they were so close that I could read their logos on the bottom of the plane. Super cool!
I had a feeling that I should turn around and I did, the sun glinting off a statue of an Angel. I knew I had to go and check it out and it was worth it. Such a beautiful statue. TFTC

Found this today and yep not really a relaxing place with heaps of vehicle heading along the roads and planes flying above. Still a great location for a cache and thanks for taking me to this location,
Never in a million years would I see myself here at night. Surprising myself, grabbed the phone torch and a quick dash from the car the cache was soon in hand

I digressed from the Woodlands series to pick up three caches outside the park but close by. This one was the first. I love cemetery caches. I picked up some pathtags and left a TB here.
TFTC, a really nice cemetery. A quick and easy find. Saw some really old graves. Also saw some planes over head.
I searched this tree high and low a few weeks ago without success and the reason for that was the cache had taken a flight to an unknown destination. Very happy to see it has returned and I can mark another cemetery off my personal cemetery challenge. Rapt to also get a pathtag. TFTC at this intriguing cemetery.
