Logs
On a road trip together with -moge-; across New Zealand; from Cape Reinga to Stewart Island; up, down, right, left ... So much to see, so much to experience. So many great, and sometimes old, cans! But I can hardly keep up with the logging. Far too exhausted from all the experiences. I am sorry that it will now be a standardized log for some founds.
Hello Bitsprayer,Another day, another Cache.Together with Dr Donna travelling through New Zealand. We arrived at Auckland Airport and made our way up north. After visiting Cape Reinga we went on our way South to reach Stewart Island with stops in many different Citys all over the country. Of course we have an open eye for nice Caches but take what we can get. Today we came across your Cache "The Wall (North Otago)" and signed the logbook with our names or took pictures for Virtuals and Earthcaches. Its great how many nice spots we are able to discover through our journey and how many of them we only See because of Geocaching! Thanks for bringing us to this place and takeing care for the geocache.
this one was obvious and very visible on approach, it's now a bit more hidden in its hole, tftc
Having booked myself flights to Christchurch, where the car lives, I did a short road trip down the coast so I can attend the Dunedin GeoToroa Mega event over labour weekend. Of course, the usual 4 hour drive can be greatly increased if one is caching all the way. I had to wait for a muggle pedestrian to pass by and then quickly in and grabbed the cache using the car as camo. TFTC.
Heading south with rattll to Dunedin for GeoToroa. We spent last night at Leeston, headed to Oamaru tonight. In between, geoart to find and penguin adlabs, plus anything else that piques our interest. As the evening drew in, we went for a stroll around Oamaru to pick up some more caches. This was one of them. In good condition. Signed, and returned as found. Tftc!
After nearly a week of geocaching as we headed south, it was time for a more mundane but necessary task of getting some washing done. What to do while waiting for the wash to go through? Squeeze in a bit more geocaching of course! The co ordinates were very accurate here, so it was straight to it. It's great to pick up another old cache. Thanks for putting this here
No problems finding this cache while out enjoying a bike ride around the area here this afternoon, TFTC
#3858 Today is day 8 of my geocaching holiday in New Zealand. I'm driving from Timaru to Oamaru first, then up north to Christchurch. Of course, I find geocaches along the way.Found it! Easy park and grab before grabbing (late) lunch.Bitsprayer, thank you for the cache!-crystaloops from Taipei, Taiwan on October 8, 2024 @ 13:05:55[GCM9RB] The Wall (North Otago) was a D1.0/T1.0 Micro Traditional Cache at the time of finding.

TN:LN:LS #6,073 for us!
Nice cache to find out the walk home, left a few old NZ 2 cent coins as swag tftc
Quick find but had to wait for a gap in the traffic to retrieve and return! Thanks for the cache, Bitsprayer#5930 ** Make your way to Dunedin for New Zealands next large multi-day event. GCA7ZHD Geo Toroa will be held on NZs Labour Day long weekend 26-27th October 2024 **
Today I finally went to the countryside and from Christchurch I drove to Dunedin. I really liked the landscape along the way. It was very hot and sunny, but before Dunedin the temperature suddenly dropped from 30 to 15C. I also stopped at some caches and enjoyed a nice day. Thanks for the cache and greetings from Czech republic.
Nearly got muggled, a few cars driving past! But found it, and tried to make it look like I was tying my shoe when I picked it up and put it back
Quick find thanks. When replacing container in its hiding place, don't get too enthusiastic or it could fall out the other side! I blocked it with some industrial camo so hopefully won't happen again. Beautiful sea water beyond the yards.
This one on the path and I mistakenly thought it was a firework so I hope I put it back in the correct place. TFTH
Came for a bit of a walk to stretch my legs after checking into the motel. No drama onsite, nicely hidden away. TFTC Bitsprayer, the cache was found in good order Signed, sealed and returned to GZ. 1 find(s) of 7 today, making this find #4410
Was looking for a smaller cache since labeled micro. But found eventually tftc!

We are from Abilene, Texas, USA and have come to New Zealand to visit with a friend. We plan on going after different Cache Types while here. We will also find geocaches while going sight seeing.
Thank you, Bitsprayer for placing this cache for all to find. We sign log sheets either as Love Cachers or LCers.
Driving over 50 miles to have...
Rusty barbed wire ripping through your clothes...
Curious rattlesnakes that come out of nowhere...
Itchy mosquito bites on every inch of your body...
A 40 mph wind gust blowing sand into your ears, nose and mouth...
Cactus needles getting stuck deep in your hands, arms and legs...
Thorny Mesquite trees scratching you up from head to toe...
Some or all of these things on a hike through 101° heat...
To sign your name or trade a toy...
SOUND LIKE FUN TO YOU?

2744. Walking from the cheese factory back to camp grabbing a cache or two on the way. Found with SC. Log signed as ToT&SC. TFTC!!!
No luck here. Worth checking as there was a lid on the other side of the wall…
Cache replaced, will see how long it stays there, might have to move it. - Bitsprayer
Pretty sure we found it but it looks like someone took it since we found the lid
Same as previous cacher. Found hole and jumped wall to inspect but unable to find cache.
Maybe next time I'm back in Oamaru for work.

Accidentally stumbled across this whilst rock hounding, I had no idea what it was or what was inside it so my imagination was running wild with what I may have unearthed lol
I am pretty sure I found the location. The hole went right through the wall but nothing in there or on either side of the wall. I hope there's something there and I just was looking in the wrong place.
The sun has come out and so have we. Replaced log as other full. Thanks for the placement bitsprayer
Thanks Bitsprayer for the cache...
the log is full ..replaced with waterproof signed and replaced as found

This is a bit of a special cache because of its age - so it's a shame it has only one favourite point from more than 500 finds. A nice quick find, with nobody around on New Year's Day morning. TFTC.
This cache was quickly found. The container had no lid but was still safe, secure and dry. The log sheets were full so I added a new piece of paper. Great wall. Our 8700th find.
This one got the better of me. Lots of road traffic. Will have to come back another time
On the Great Southern Steam Rail Tour, This morning we had time on our hands so were able to go on a walkabout, and met up at steam Punk museum, those of us that arrived early were let in early, so we were done by the time the rest of the tour turned up on coaches, so we had more time on our hands, before we had to met up at train, so got this one on detour on way to train Station, TFTC
Day 13 of our SI rd trip. Staying the night at the Brydone. Quick look around time getting a few close caches.tftc
Enjoying exploring part of Oamaru not visited before. Mr E skilfully parked right at GZ, I stepped out and grabbed it. Thanks for all your placements here in Oamaru Bitsprayer, and glad that his long standing cache continues for our pleasure.
Staying around the corner from here on a road trip. Hood to have a quick find on a hot afternoon!
Gosh it has been here for a while. We enjoy finding these ones. Thanks Bitsprayer.
School holiday outing on a lovely day, I have walked up and down this road multiple times and never thought to look! Easy find by miss 9 who thought it hilarious to walk alongside the car while she was looking. Tftc
