My original plan was to borrow my Niece's bike and cycle between caches. But then the thought of juggling my phone whilst riding an unfamiliar bike , well it wouldn't have ended well. So plan B was to simply walk along the walkway into Weston and find caches around Weston. Thanks for putting caches along this popular walkway

Day 3 and the last day of StreetWalkerNZ and my 3 day weekend in and around Oamaru. After an early start and finding 17 caches on the Cormacks Kia Ora Rd, we returned to base for a (well deserved) coffee and to pack up the car.
SW had got to GZ first (he bikes faster) and wondered where he was, then heard rustling above me - oh, he's up there. I let him carry on searching while I looked after the bikes Wink, and soon heard him announce it "found it". Great to find another old Bitsprayer cache. TFTC.

Finally finding some time to log these caches. Took a couple of days off work and decided that today was the day to knock off the next section on the A2O. A wee bit cool and quite windy but enjoyable none the less. A fee quicks finds and a few tough ones. A shout out to Drawp who I run into on the way and helped me with a couple. TFTC.

Ten days off in a row for the price of two leave days, how fabulous! Packed up the whanau for an adventure and headed south. Our original plans were slightly thwarted by water, but we made the trip into an adventure tikitour with a few caches along the way. Signing the logs as Team Polak or TP for brevity. Great fun, thanks to all the CO’s for the entertainment!!
Nice to find an oldie - and a turnaround point for us for now! TFTC!!

Day 7 - of our (The Seagnoid, Toby, Zara, & myself) epic adventure around amazing Oamaru. With Geofest17 and Danseys Pass and A2O bagged, we are off exploring Oamaru again.
We ran out of time to completer A2O so back today to bag a few more while cycling along the way.
Another one snagged and tagged while cycling along. Cheers

As u walked back onto the cycle way a young girl was walking passed. I said hello and she murmured a reply and almost ran away from me... I recon you become a axe murderer to muggles while out caching.

26-Oct-17
Tyabeedragon and I cycled most of the A2O from the elephants a few days ago. Now we are back, mopping up sections that we missed. There was a bit of cache creep here. Returned the cache to match GZ and the hint.

Headed out for a Mad Mission with Team_Gaters and 8ManAfter we signed our logs today 'T8T' cos were dynatmite! I grabbed 8Man at 5.30 am and we grabbed TG just before 6am and we were on the road before 6am with the bikes on the back. The plan was to drive to Oamaru and then attend the events and thrash the caches hard. We wanted to do as much of the A2O as we could and as many PnGs that we could manage. We stopped by the event first and then we had to stop an grab breakfast at 10am. We grabbed some lunch and headed for the hills. Had a great time and worked our way back to town for the CITO at 6pm. Scored a delicous dinner in town and headed home. Got home just after 12am knocking out 620km and 115 caches. Good times!
On the trial, quick find.

Cache 33 of 115 for this crazy day!
Thanks for the cache Bitsprayer.

A long days caching (Mad Mission?) with TheWanglers and 8ManAfter..revelin a bit of the Geofest Event in Oamaru. We signed our logs 'T8T' cos were dynamite...and 'in a hurry'...LOL! Picked up by TW & 8man at 6am...and we had our bikes loaded for a bit of A2O action during the day. The plan was to drive to Oamaru and then attend the events and thrash the caches hard. We stopped by the event first and then we stopped to town to grab some breakfast and a packed lunch and then headed out to hit some trails. Had a great time and worked our way back to town for the CITO at 6pm. Grabbed some tea in town then headed for home. Got home just on 12am knocking out 620km and just over 100 cache finds for each of us. A great day with great company!
...I can't count. Loving the bike trail...

#2,962: Binge Smiley!
What an adventure we had today! TheWanglers, Team_Gaters, and I headed out at dawn from Christchurch with four goals in mind: 1) Find Many Caches, 2) Get TG to 7,000 finds, 3) get me to 3,000 finds, and 4) Have Fun! Needless to say, all were accomplished in spades. It was only my second 100+ day ever, and had us driving, walking, running, biking, and even crawling to make the finds. We were also able to find at least 7 different cache types, and attend two events, in order to catch up with old friends. Thanks to all the hiders, but most of all, thanks to my partners in crime! We signed all logs as "T8T", sung to the tune of AC/DC "TNT".

We took to the bikes for the first time, and made some finds!

SL/TFTC!!

Bbear44 and I were spending a few days in Oamaru getting things organised for the geofest.
Time to head back to Christchurch. But first a wee bike ride.

Find out more about New Zealand's next big event [Oamaru Geofest](http://oamarugeofest2017.wixsite.com/geocachingevent) and come and join us.

Thanks. Bitsprayer for putting in the effort to hide this geocache. This was find 5110 for me.

On a road trip to Dunedin with our bikes on board.
Felt like a short MTB power trail and this fitted the bill.

Missed it on the first pass as we counted to five.
Read the previous log and then made the quick find at the concrete post.

31-Oct-16
Wouldn't say fifth but it is the only concrete post. You'd think the red latches would give it away but with all the thistles it really wasn't easy to find.

Either I'm not good at counting, or I'm not sure of the definition of "post", but whatever it was, this took me a much longer time than expected to find. Maybe it was the cacher trails in the long grass that put me off? Thanks for placing this cache.

06-Apr-16
That was fun. Thanks for placing the cache.

Checking out this end of the A2O before we ride the whole trail from the Alps. My GPS was locked on to my bike so the helpful hint was appreciated. No problems with this one, thanks Bitsprayer.

20-Jan-16
The forecast was supposed to be good for today but the scotch mist, or fog, or just damp weather arrived but that didn't deter Sunroller and I getting out our bikes to ride the rail trail out of town this morning.

Cheers for the cache.

Headed down south with C&D and 11HPG11 for the CHCH Mega as part of the HOAC team, and decided that a Mega road trip/Mega Mission was the right thing to do. After a great day caching from Dunedin to Omarama we manged to get a few hours sleep before the big day 2 started.

Day 2 was the start of a ambitious plan to try and find as many caches as possible in one day! To maximise our chances of a big number we decided a 24 hour caching day was the only way to go. What an epic day, and some great moments too. The rough idea was to cache from Omarama to Oamaru, and then head north towards Christchurch. A huge thanks to everyone for the cache placments, and I apologise for the copy and past logs.

Find #202 for the day.

This was the start of a MEGA caching weekend in the company of good caching friends. In the company of both HKCB & 11HPG11 this was going to be another memorable caching road trip for many reasons.

This is the mission that we had set ourselves up for several months back. It was HKCB's idea, I was just dumb enough to think it was a challenge and I'd be up for it, 11HPG11 was silly enough to come along for the ride once we confirmed a spare seat (Nova Lightening pulled out for family reasons).

We were going to try to beat the NZ one day record in New Zealand (it would have been easier with 4 people), so after 2.5hrs sleep after a good feed at Omarama we were ready to go. This was the number two hundred and second on what was to be an epic day with what amounted to 401 caches collected for the day and about 38 DNF's. We managed this with 10minutes to spare but by this time we were done for and still had to drive back to Kaiapoi. All in all an epic days caching with good friends and something I don't think any of us will repeat in a hurry.

All in all it was going to be a big day with a number of challenges, great scenery, and of course great company. Fantastic driving along and up here as the landscape was so different from what we are used to back in the Waikato. One good thing about backroads being that we could continue our neferious activites without being disturbed by muggles.

Nice quick find here without any issues Cool.
thanks for the placement , thanks for the cache

What a Mega Mission for a group of Hamilton Over Achievers! A great trip, a long time in the planning. I teamed up with Cats&Dragons and HKCB to grab a couple of caches while in Christchurch and surrounding areas for the 2015 Mega Event. We flew out from Auckland on Friday night and traveled to Dunedin in the dark of the night. Stopped for a few hours sleep before setting off to grab caches in the Otago area on Saturday before attempting a few more on Sunday and then arriving at the Mega on the Monday. An amazing, yet crazy road trip

When C&D mentioned a day with over 400 caches I should have turned and ran... instead I said yes, and here we are. 401 caches in 23 hours and 50 minutes. All done on about 2.5hr of sleep. It was hard work with only 3 of us and there were times that were hard and tiring but I still had a blast! An amazing experience that one has to be slightly crazy to even consider

Enjoyed exploring this area. Thanks for showing us the sights
